Maybe we can change this topic into the Wiiware/PSN/PS1C/VC/XBL collection thread.  :P
I'd like that.

Mostly it's just teen girls with varying breast sizes over here. One or two large boob weemonz, but it's just about "tit". I just miss those days when anime's designs were more human and thier upper body did not eat the rest of the body.

Ya serious? 8D
I miss the good old days.

Back when the girls in anime which were lusted for looked like this:

And not like this:

...back then, weeaboo meant perv instead of pedophile. >_>;;;

Speaking of Crisis, whatever happned to both Mandrakk and Darkseid did they die? Get sent into another dimension? How did Darkseid grow so powerful that he was able to merge universes and the Earths?

Is Batman even more of a fantasy archetype than Supes?
Mandrakk is defeated. Darkseid is both in Bats', and Hurt. At least implied to be. Hurt is at least the personification of the devil, and of evil itself.

And another thing...

Notice anything funny with how they found the cowl?

How about now:

The 90's. Back when pretty much all anime was good.

...and the anime that wasn't good was at least entertaining and had lotsa hot babes instead of the rampant succession of flatchested lolis we see today.

So if Day of Sigma was made, why not a whole X anime? Makes no sense to just make an OVA for a single game unlock (I think that was its only purpose).

Well I meant the anime preview thing they did, which didn't take off because it sucked.
Never seen this. Gotta sometime.

...by the way, speaking of Megaman anime, what's the general consensus on Day of Sigma?

I think the PS3 version had the platforming part as well. It was that one grassy stage with the glass you jumped through or something like that.
Grassy stage, but... no glass. O_o It had those wind grinds and those stupid-looking ropes which made you jump.

Follow at your own pace, and tell me if you have any kind of question on the plot or on how to follow each arc.

Damn right!

What kind of "fun" are you looking for? Cause different eras offer different Godzilla genre's.
What's the best Godzilla movie of all time?

Again, you didn't tell me what you're trying to do with the story in the first place.

Want good advice? Read a good book. Most people nowadays don't read, that's why they can't write well. As long as you read, you'll see how to write well, and you'll be able to type out any kind of quality narrative you want.

LoL, maybe the PS3 version was more honest!  8)
The 360 demo only had the platforming part. Not the racing forward part.

I don't think any sprite comic has ever been good except for 8-Bit Theater and Kid Radd.

I really don't know how the Megaman community looks at Bob & George, but I'm just gonna say that I wasn't impressed with the little I saw.

I'm not... exactly a fan of fanfictions. And from what you're telling me, it's the vaguest thing possible. First of all, there is no such thing as "no genre". There's always a given style, a certain kind of writing you use. Unless I know what you're trying to do in the first place, I can't give you any advice whatsoever.

I do give you one piece of advice. Get to work on your grammar.

This all goes to show that Capcom is crazy for not just doing a cool Rockman anime and be done with it.

For a Godzilla virgin, which movie would Godzilla fans advise me to start with?

(and by that I mean ease me into the movie and wow me with it. Don't just tell me a long list to catch up with the canon, I just wanna watch something fun)

What's funny is that I have the PS3 pre-release party to thank for me NOT playing that game. At this PS3 event, they had a demo of Sonic '06. Despite the...*shudder* 1:07 minute loading time (yes, I actually timed it at one point), I couldn't believe how god awful it played. Awful handling, falling through levels, and all that fun stuff.

The demo was SO awful, it only took me 3-4 minutes to convince me never to play it ever. I believe that's a record, which probably would've been shorter if the loading time wasn't so bad. XD
I actually thought from the 360 downloadable demo that it wasn't going to be that bad. I mean, it felt like Adventure back then. Boy was I wrong...

I really hated that they went through the trouble to use Havok, and not have it make a bit of sense. Also, the water didn't have any kind of effects when anything fell through. We're talking basic stuff, people.

Playing Sonic '06 - biggest [tornado fang]ing mistake of my life.
I don't think I've ever played such a horribly broken game in my entire life. And I've played very broken stuff.

One of the biggest examples, is that one mission, to put apples inside baskets.

...that is most probably the VERY WORST gameplay-to-objective relation I have ever seen in any commercial game, ever, ever, ever. It just doesn't work, but it doesn't work in such a horrible way that it reaches paradoxes of unworkeability.

...also, using the homing attack on rocks to light them up, and the rocks basically behaving like walls and getting you to bump into them when you did attack them requiringly.

Okay. That's it.
Can you send me some links to [OBTAIN] everything I need to read?
If you can't then I guess I would have to scourge through /rs/ or something, but I hate doing that.
Thanks.
Done.

By the way, guess what day it is today.

Let's weep for our horrible fates once more.

Funny how the entire cool factor of the trailer is that it's got no gameplay footage whatsoever, and it's entirely fan-pandering. =P

It's hella cool to see classic characters duking it out like that in crisp clean anime, yeah. But it's all for the sake of promoting a game we know nothing about so far. =P

I can actually see the line of thought here.

It's pretty much what happened when Bethesda did Fallout 3. Everyone said they were making a huge mistake for not creating a direct sequel which was an isometric classic RPG with the kind of old gameplay completely intact. Fans still [sonic slicer] ALOT about it, many continue to call the game "Oblivion with guns" and keep on refusing to play it.

I know that while certain game sequels focus on being something different and evolved in terms of gameplay and presentation (MGS, Assassin's Creed, Super Mario Bros...) other kinds of sequels focus on being more of the same, an expansion of what had already been seen (Megaman, Phoenix Wright, Tekken...). The problem you have with this, is the fact that the first few numbered games were the latter, and are now attempting to become the former, delivering something new instead of the same fans expected.

...I honestly say, tough. Original games were released almost 20 years ago. They're making a sequel in the vein of this "new take" thing companies seem to have towards some games now. I have absolutely no problem with this. And anyone expecting Sega, or pretty much ANY other company to release something with the physics of yesteryear, is being unrealistic. Most remakes nowadays don't choose to take that trouble. Rocket Knight and Bionic Commando Rearmed took a completely different physics approach, which WORKED. People bitched, yes. But honestly, screw them. We got two amazingly fun games out of it.

I'm one of the people who chose to be excited about Fallout 3, had some great fun playing it, and even considers it one of his favorite games. I will play Sonic 4 and judge it not according to it being a sequel which is supposed to be retro, but on its own merits. I suggest people do the same, otherwise, they're gonna be missing out on alot.

Fuckfuckfuckfuck.
I gotta finally read all of this.
This sounds so awesome.
Whole thing's a retell of the RIP/Final Crisis/Return of Bruce Wayne period. But as Morrison isn't the kind of author to dwell on things, he made it so in the original works, what happens, can be subintended and resumed to a few panels for better storytelling. In this, the very moment where Bruce confronts Darkseid is repeated, and we take on the full dramatic effect of the battle of good versus evil. Everything that happens. And everything that will happen is finally fully foreshadowed, not just clues.
