I don't have Xbox Live at all (besides, the 360 is actually my older brothers and its the old fat white 360), and my family isn't going to buy a subscription to it anytime soon. ):
Um... you don't need to pay for a subscription for a Silver account, which lets you do pretty much everything except play multiplayer games online.

Just connect your 360 online and play Fallout 3. A message will pop up, and install a patch. It should clear the problems you got with it.

I remember I first joined a few years ago.

I first posted about a few games I liked and quickly got dissed by a guy who said "FPS aren't videogames", "Ninja Gaiden doesn't deserve to exist except on the NES" and a few other pearls of wisdom.

I then left that topic and created one about the game "The Darkness". Quickly I got ostracized as an FPS lover and people said I had to leave the forum because I had no enormous love for Megaman games.

...I only came back years later, and I gotta say, the environment has overall improved quite a bit. I still want to punch that one guy in the teeth, though.

I did wonder where the arcade dashing mechanic went in videogames. Glad to see it make a successful return.
It's not dashing, guys. It's pretty much jetpacking to any side in super high speeds. You can use it as a constant movement mechanic, and it works really, really well. Dashing is simply a small dash in a direction. This is a power slide aided by FIRE, and you can fire at enemies in bullet time while doing it.

I just find the switching to first-person to fire missiles frustrating, since you can't move and dodging in first-person is iffy.

Oh, and I hate that enemies don't drop energy pickups.  Beyond that, yeah, fun game so far.

(And I'm all for humanizing Samus, goddamn it.  I always figured she had to be emotionally unstable after everything that's happened to her, anyway.)
The first-person switch is still the most fuild motion-based switching mechanic I've seen in any game.

I was in the middle of the main story quest... I'll put a spoiler label just so I won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't played it.

(click to show/hide)

Long story short, the game f*cks up during loading when I enter the next room to continue in my quest. I dunno if it has to do with the disc being scratched up, because my brother borrowed from a friend of his who has a 360, and the disc is really scratched up, though it seems to be a very likely case. But all I know is that I am (probably) not going to waste another 20+ hours to get back where I was when the game began to f*ck up out of sheer frustration.
That quest generally presents a few bugs, but it's not that bad.

...is your 360 connected online? Have you been installing the proper bug-fixing patches?

So I played it.

Holy Christ I don't know what I'm doing but I love it. Everything is loud and fast and explosive and fast and loud and awesome.

Personally I'd say, the way the dash mechanics are done, I can imagine MMX going this way.
MMX dashes like a kid flinging himself forward. Vanquish dashes LIKE A [chameleon sting]ing BULLET TRAIN, POWER SLIDING WHILE THROWING A GUITAR SOLO.

I never knew the site was a tribute to just the Legends series. Thought it was overall Megamangoes.

And let the guy hate the game. =P Honestly, awesome as it may have been, it hasn't really aged well.

Again, the current Bat-arc MUST be read from the beginning, or you won't understand a thing. Batman & Son, The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul, The Black Glove and RIP. Only THEN you start with Batman & Robin and The Return of Bruce Wayne at the same time.

So X-Play sucks now? (Not having G4TV will do that to ya) I got butt-aches from Bunny Must Die lots of times, but I won't call it a bad game. The only butt-aches that's never worth playing from experience are Sonic '06 and Melon Squash!, and those games were effin' terrible.

Well, I was playing Fallout 3 on the 360, but damn game keep [tornado fang]ing up during loading a crushes. Worst part is that I can't do a thing about it and it was during a quest that was going to advance the plot. So now I refuse to play it play it anymore it. 20+ hours and the game decides to screw me over there's not a thing I do about it unless I start over from the very beginning in hopes it won't [tornado fang] up again. [tornado fang] that, I'm going back to Tales of Vesperia. >_>
What problem did you have with Fallout 3 exactly? I've been all over that game on the 360, and never had any trouble with it.

They're [tornado fang]ing horrible, at least at the beginning.
The art is horrible, etc.

In other news, I've just finished reading Batman & Robin 13, since I found out I have all the current issues on my HDD.
I have only one thing to say:
wat
So...

Did you even read The Black Glove and RIP?

El Penitente is Hurt. Hurt was originally a military doctor who experimented with Batman and became fascinated with his mindset, thus implanting the whole Zur-Hn-Arrh. He now seeks to make the life of the Waynes a living hell by masquerading as one. It's still not clear whether he has any connection to them, but I don't think so, at least so far.

Except doing things the right way has done nothing but [tornado fang]'d my family.
Everything depends on the context of what you do. Sometimes, there's no "right" or "wrong" way to do something.

I have yet to get the game but thought this was kind of funny

1- Jurisdiction, superior by law, legitimate orders, etc. (updates by herself as she needs it later on when she can't stand the bullshit)
2- Seeing as she had pretty much killed him dead last time around and judging by the beast, she was expecting something completely different, I'd be surprised too if the monster I was hunting turned out to be the dude who killed my parents. AGAIN.
3- Expendable, as in "only members important enough to have an actual death scene".
(click to show/hide)
4- Cutscenes really are baby size compared to any kind of story-driven games. Just new to a saga like Metroid. Only big cutscene is the ending.

It's confirmed that you have to beat the game once on normal before you can unlock the harder modes.

But yeah...rolling up on a bunch of robot dudes and then giving them a DRAGON KICK?! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah, this game is awesome. God bless you, Mikami and P*.

It has to be said though. If you try to play this game like Gears of War...you most DEFINITELY are doing it wrong.  8D
In some places, you HAVE to play it like Gears. The dodge+hide+gunplay works when you're overheated, which can happen when you get a bit overwhelmed.

Truth be spoken.

Back in my day, you HAD to ration your items when you faced a boss that required them to beat them. They didn't blow arrows out their noses. ._.

WIND WAKER MY FRIEND.
I find myself doing that in Dead Rising 2 right now.

Downloading it off PSN.

...OH MY GOD GAME OF THE [chameleon sting]ing YEAR

YOU CAN JET POWER SLIDE EVERYWHERE AS IF YOU'RE PULLING A MAJOR [chameleon sting]ing SOLO AND YOU CAN JET UP TO AN ENEMY, COMBO IT MANY TIMES AT THE [tornado fang]ing SPEED OF SOUND AND LET HIM EXPLODE WITH DOZENS OF SHOTS TO THE FACE

HOLY [parasitic bomb] EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME AND IT IS AWESOME

It is a bit too easy, but still. I hope God Hard mode is available from the beginning.

"For a comedy game that ending left me quite sad..."
What game?

"Metroid.  My Wii is broken a-again, won't read dual-layer discs.......... again"
Mod it. Run games from a USB device.

X-Play completely thrashed that game.
Game's fine. Funnily enough, I've encountered ZERO technical problems, ZERO fluidity problems, and ZERO gameplay issues. But somehow, it's horrible because it doesn't correspond people's initial vision. Screw that.

It's okay, it's a game meant to be replayed anyway.

Just remember to save and stock up before using the Zombrex. Boss fight. Just saving you alot of frustration in case you don't remember to save for awhile. =P
