To be honest, they didn't use Deadpool. They used Wade, and then they used some kinda monstrocity they created, which was the complete anthethisis of Deadpool.

If they have the rights, it's gotta be pretty much the worst-used rights of all time.

Seriously? I just thought of it now.

...it's better than giving [tornado fang]ing NOMURA the license to draw all FF characters in BELTANDZIPPER and get them to fight in a heavily limited and frustrating control scheme with amazingly different power levels in characters.

So, I recently found out that there was a Princess Maker 5 (FIVE!) on the PS2.  I had only played Princess Maker 2 -- which was [tornado fang]ing badass, thank you very much -- so I could only imagine how it had evolved.  Could it have 3D graphics?  3D Platforming?  I googled it to find out, and to my surprise...

It was EXACTLY the same [parasitic bomb] as before.  Actually, no, it was way worse.  My dreams were crushed right then and there.

Pic related.  It's [chameleon sting]ing Princess Maker.

...that's some [tornado fang]ing creepy [parasitic bomb] if I ever saw it. She adopted at least?

Here's my pitch for Square-Enix.

Final Fantasy: DiCIDia.

ALL CIDS. FIGHTAN EACH OTHER.

Well... I still haven't finished first AAI....
I stopped at the last case, while examining that flower pot.
I don't remember why tough.

On the other hand... I wanted to see a sequel to Apollo, where Kristoph returns, and fucks some serious [parasitic bomb] up...

It's probably never gonna happen. ;__;
Kristoph got arrested and Apollo got his sweet incestual relationship. The end, everyone's happy.

He's from the X-men, I don't recall Marvel ever getting those rights back.
...what? Deadpool isn't really very connected to the X-Men. Yeah, he was a part of the Weapon X program, and had his series with Cable, but I didn't know he came with the X-Men license as a deal.

Specially the way Marvel has been whoring him around lately.

I love how everyone's excited about them making the game more rounded-up. =P This is Square-Enix, people. Some characters will continue to be complete ass while others will be the overpowered fucks of always. 8D

Screw Apollo. Seriously, the guy IS PHOENIX. Capcom had the chance to make him a worthy successor, and maybe play the Batman Beyond-style of mentality, by making Phoenix a seasoned badass while having Apollo be the new guy taking on the big cases. But it's not that at all. Apollo is the same empty shell as Phoenix, made to fit any kind of player as the main character, yes. But he's EXACTLY the same character Phoenix has been in the first three games. Same personality, same way to act, everything. Didn't they learn from the times we played with Edgeworth on AA3? That was interesting, because we were tackling the game with a different personality. The Mia parts also seemed way more professional. But why did they even timeskip and change characters if what we get is A PHOENIX CLONE?

...I say bring back more Edgeworth.

What is well done about it? The fact that we had no idea of Adam's true personality until then? The fact that that thing came out of nowhere? The fact that they basically gave us a ton of details about a fantastic level and fantastic enemies only to tell us we're not allowed to fight them or even see them? The fact that it was a cheap off-screen death, which means he can be brought back easily anytime? Everything in that scene was textbook Hollywood cornyness better suited to the 70's and 80's, stuff that wouldn't go near any recent sci-fi flick with a ten foot pole. It's pretty much wacky japanese stuff, that they think appeals to the western mentality, but ends up being EXTREMELY stereotypical. And the narrative itself is disjoined and doesn't favor the game in any way.

Nothing wrong with liking it. It's still a friggin' Hollywood cliché, though.

My guess is that Fox wanted too much control or something, and he said "[tornado fang] it"
Fox has the rights to it? I thought Deadpool still belonged to Marvel.

Heartless, huh?

I would have been sad... IF ADAM HAD ANY PERSONALITY UP TO THAT POINT IN THE GAME ANYWAY. He acts like Gendo [tornado fang]ing Ikari, always silent and telling you what to do all the way, and then in one single cutscene, dude pulls a 180º and acts all heroic, his tone of choice changes and everything basically is different. Jesus Christ, it's a forced "BE SAAAAAAD" scene if I ever saw one.

A good thing would be "Don't end the story so half-assedly by explaining all of the events at once instead of sparingly."

Maridia's tricky, but not TOO tough.  For me, it's not so much the gray doors as it is tracking down the Plasma Beam.
Agreed.

Does anyone actually have a quote on the manga's canon status, though?  I've heard people say that Nintendo said so, but I've not seen such confirmation for myself.  Best evidence I've found is that some of Zero Mission's staff worked on it.
I think I read somewhere that it stopped being canon awhile ago, mainly because nobody really cared about it enough and it was just silly.

...then again, Nintendo and coherent storylines with well-set canon were never the best of friends.

Alright then.

We got a great game from Midway first. Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, a game that never got a sequel, but it's damn good, and it's gone freeware.

Beneath A Steel Sky, one of the best point and click games I've ever played. By Revolution Software, creators of Broken Sword, and it's got art by Dave Gibbons, the artist of Watchmen. Also freeware.

It will eventually, though.

I just hope Nintendo's next console is able to play previous Wii and Gamecube games in HD.

I kinda wish I had a computer good enough to handle the Dolphin emulator. Aside from Motion Plus stuff, it seems to do everything the Wii can do, and it works in HD, so games like Metroid, Mario Galaxy and others look absolutely amazing.
