Walljumping isn't that complicated in the Metroid series... just requires some timing. Heck, they made it much easier as time went along.

Agreed that the controls in Gunvolt don't seem to require that timing though.

Probably for the best. Would be cool if he directed something that wasn't a Metroidvania, seeing how tired those were becoming... rather quickly. Or if it is a Metroidvania, at least put some time in that sucker and not rush it.

The wallclimbing mechanic is similar to "Model a", if anything.
Forgot about that, but that does indeed sound about right.

Wallclimbing is good, but it looks like it's missing something... I mean, he walldashed for that ledge but didn't appear to grab it or slide down it, like in pretty much most MMX-style games. Wait, has this been a thing in MMZX?
Nah, it was the same in MMZX as it was in the other series. It looks like they're trying something different this time around, having something that looks like a crossmix of MMX and Metroid style wallclimbing.

Nah... I actually don't have it too often normally. I guess it does help me out on the days where I kinda want to go home the moment I get to work, though 8D

(So uhh... that was interesting. I was looking forward to Buns, too :(

I would say I'm worried about the female Death Masters, but I'm not. Not in the least :P)

What a long week... le sigh. It's only going to get moreso as time goes along, what with the deadlines coming up... lovely.

(Though if Fexni tells Zeta about what she said while Quickie was fighting him she'll be really angry at Quickie and more determined to smack some sense into her since they are both Shuffle Alliance members and team work and working together are very important since she gets attached to people and she's good friends with Quickie.)

(That could be arranged, for sure! I'm pretty sure Fxeni will be hanging around the SexStation for a while longer, so it wouldn't be too hard to set up.)

(We'll see. I have a plan for that actually!  8D)

(Oh? Interesting... 8D)

A winged figure stood atop a building, watching the fight with the Joes unwind finally with the destruction of the Omega Joe.

Well... this could be handy, she thought to herself as she watched and listened in from afar. Certainly more useful than the empty desolation I found at the Ice Cream Mountains, that's for sure.

She bent down at the edge of the building, grasping the edge with her talons. The people around here certainly seem like they would be more enjoyable to fight than the scraps left over back in our world... she thought with a grin plastered on her face. It wouldn't be any fun to fight them in their current condition though. A pity.

(Figured I'd get at least some reconnaissance done for the Death Masters. I don't expect her to do anything else at this point in time, unless one of you really want to give it a shot... up to you guys though.)

"The GN-0000 00 Mag(I), huh? That's sure a lot of zeroes in there, Peebs..." Fxeni replied.

"SHUT IT OR I'LL SHUT IT FOR YOU!" PBPB yelled.

"Alright, Alright... I'll stop," Fxeni said with a smirk.

"GOOD! Now answer my question... what the hell happened to your mansion?" PBPB inquired.

"... Someone blew it up, from the inside from what I saw in the satellite image," Fxeni replied, his smirk disappearing.

"Who? Dr. Guano-for-brains?" PBPB asked, tilting her digital head to the side a bit.

Should I tell her? Fxeni thought to himself momentarily. Might as well... she'd figure it out from what the scouts report anyways.

"No... Not him. Someone else. A Spectre from my recent past," Fxeni answered glumly.

"Stop being so [tornado fang]ing cryptic goddammit!" PBPB said, irritated by the quasi non-answer she received. Fxeni sighed at this.

"I'm not positive, but I think it's someone I thought I had killed back in the other dimension. His men were chasing me to the very end until I got back here, but clearly they... and he... haven't given up," Fxeni answered as he stopped walking for a moment, leaning against the wall. "He was there, with one of his subordinates. I'm not sure if there are others or not."

"So why don't we just send a squad down there to get rid of him?" PBPB asks.

"It wouldn't be that easy. He's strong... even stronger than I had initially thought, if he managed to survive what I put him through," Fxeni replied, pausing for a moment to gather his thoughts. "No, send down robots for now. I don't want us wasting good men on this."

"I guess that's fair. Now hurry up and finish over there, I need your bo- your help over here," PBPB said in an authoritative tone.

"I'll be back before you know it... I still have a crew to gather though," Fxeni said with a smile. "Do what you can for now, maybe start building up that thing there."

"I guess I should, huh?" PBPB answered, turning to look at the blueprints. "I'll send out those scouts for you."

"Thanks Peebs," Fxeni said as he closed the comm connection. He sighed, then started heading to the cafeteria anew.

My friend said the same thing to me. He liked Arkham Asylum better, cause it felt more well put together and Batman-ier! Haha
That's pretty much my opinion as well, it felt more solid design-wise. Gliding around Arhkam City (and Origins too I guess) was fun at first, but then after a while it lost its luster for me.

The one thing City did better was the Mr. Freeze fight... I really wish there were more like that one to be honest. I felt more like Batman in that boss fight than any of the others.

As for something that looks like it might be good in Knights, is if they pull off the Batmobile well in it (and possibly Batwing closer to the end?) it would be cool.

*shrug* I wasn't really going into it that deep, I just find it silly. If they do a good job of tying it together well, then good for them! If they're doing it just for the title, then... uh... not so good.

I loved looking in every nook and cranny for riddler trophies. You're seriously complaining that Arkham City gave you too much to do? Also, driving around in the Batmobile will likely make traveling around much more exciting than the previous games, especially since you'll apparently be able to drive on walls.

And either way, once you get the grappling hook upgrade to shoot yourself into the air, it made traveling from building to building pretty fun.

And hey, they're collectibles for a reason. They're completely optional.
I wouldn't call it too much to do... it just felt like busywork more than anything else for me. I kinda liked the way Arkham Asylum was designed better personally, Arkham City didn't feel as fun to traverse for me.

A man dresses up in a bat costume and calls himself The Batman.

A guy dons a red cape and calls himself Superman.

ARKHAM KNIGHT is the name you have a problem with?
Yup, that's exactly what I'm saying! Why would someone call himself after an insane asylum / insane family? Kinda sillier than the other examples if you ask me.

Ariani was finishing up her shift in the Maintenance Bay, helping with the preparations for the Fxescythe Zeta. She exhales deeply as she changes out of her maintenance uniform.

Those blueprints were so detailed... I wonder how Commander Blues did it? she thinks to herself as she slips her top on. I think there might be a few improvements that could be made to it... I'll go talk to Fxeni about it!

When she's finished changing, she heads out into the corridor. She stops by Fxeni's quarters and peeks inside, knocking on the side of the doorway. Seeing that the room is empty, she walks down the hallway pensively. As she passes by the Security Room, she hears a voice she recognizes.

"There we go... That should keep any unwanted elements out of your systems, ADA," Fxeni says as he steps away from the console, "No wonder someone got through, though... it hasn't been upgraded in a long time."

"Thank you, Fxeni," ADA replies.

"Ah, there you are!" Ariani says as she walks into the room with a excited wave and smile.

"A-Ariani! Wasn't expecting you to pass by!" Fxeni said with a startle. "What can I do for you?"

"Well... since I'm working on your new Mobile Suit, I took the liberty to take a look at the blueprints. They're pretty amazing, but I think there's a few tweaks here and there that would improve its performance a bit..." Ariani said as she brought up the blueprints of the Fxescythe Zeta on her tablet. "If we make the changes to the Movable Frame in these spots, it would increase its' durability and response time."

"Hmm... interesting. Weight distribution remains intact... materials are durable enough to withstand the nature of the parts," Fxeni states as he glances through the notes she's made. "Looks good to me. Did you give these to the Chief Engineer?"

"Not yet... I umm... I figured I'd pass them by you first," Ariani said shyly as she swayed slightly from side to side, looking down at the ground.

"You should, these changes look good to me," Fxeni says with a smile.

"Really?! I mean umm... yes sir!" Ariani replies as she regains her composure, a smile gracing her face.

"Warning! Fxeni sir, please look at the monitor!" ADA states as the monitor screen turns on. Fxeni and Ariani both take a look at the monitor. Fxeni's eyes narrowed at the sight, while Ariani gasped.

"Isn't that..." Ariani starts to say, one of her hands covering her mouth.

"Yes... it is... rather, was... my mansion," Fxeni said with a slight growl in his tone. "ADA, zoom in on quadrant E8."

The quadrant stated by Fxeni was zoomed in on, revealing two figures standing neaby. One he didn't recognize, but the other was very familiar.

It can't be... Fxeni thought as he examined it closer, his eyes widening. Even though it was from a good distance, he could tell who it was. I killed that General... or at least I thought I did. The bastard survived.

"Is everything alright...?" Ariani asked, worried about Fxeni.

"Yeah... I just won't be able to show you my base now, I'm sad to say!" Fxeni joked, deciding that worrying anyone at this point wouldn't change anything. "I guess you'll have to just help me out one my new one!"

"Wha... you mean the battleship?" Ariani asked, a bit of a surprise in her voice.

"That's exactly what I mean! You've demonstrated your ability with that," Fxeni said as he pointed at her tablet. "You'll be perfect for the job."

"T-Thank you!" Ariani exclaimed excitedly.

"I'll treat you to lunch! Go ahead and head to the caf, I'll join you there," Fxeni said with a smile.

"Sure! See you there!" Ariani said as she rushed out of the room, all giddy. Fxeni watched her as she left, and the door shut behind her. His smile faded, and he looked back at the screen.

"ADA... contact Peebs. Request that we have robot scouts examine the remains of my mansion while keeping out of sight," Fxeni ordered.

"Affirmative," ADA responded as Fxeni left the room.

If it's him... he's trying to lure me out. I'm in no shape to deal with him as I am now, so he'll have to wait, Fxeni thought as he walked down the hallway towards the cafeteria. I'm not giving him the satisfaction.

5 times bigger than Arkham City? Ehh... more empty space to travel with like 1000 collectibles to pick up... goody.

Arkham Knight is a dumb name for a character, too.
