I'm going for the 3DS version for playing during my commutes.

I'm looking forward to fighting you jerks once more, only perhaps with a little less lag this time around.

That sad part is that it had potential. I liked the idea behind the mobile suits, the Destiny in particular. It's just... man.

Rosalina might be good in that aspect, based on what we've seen.

True. The "Gundam Seed Destiny effect" at work.

It's not like I expected anything amazing, but I was hoping gossip wasn't the main reason for going in pairs. It's like, why bother going in with each other when you can just wait for them outside.

Whatever though, I can't even begin to fathom a woman's thought process.
So they can gossip about the people they're with at that time right away instead of waiting. Come on, now.

I actually really enjoyed ZZ. UC wouldn't feel complete without it, even with its kinda odd beginning by contrast to other series.

So I watched the Mobile Suit Gundam movies, as well as Z Gundam A New Translation.

The MSG ones did a good job of hitting most of the important points of the series without relying on having previously watching the full series, while managing to cut out some fluff. I still enjoyed watching them.

A New Translation, on the other hand, felt kinda disjointed at times. There was parts that I felt like I wouldn't have known what was going on if I hadn't seen the series previously. This kinda also worked against me, since I felt like a lot of important stuff was left out. Then there was the new footage, which was just... jarring next to the old stuff, particularly in the latter movies.

I suspect that if ANT had a longer running time like the MSG movies did, it might have helped quite a bit. It would have given more time for stuff to be fleshed out, like the various meetings with Four for example. The new ending... I'm not sure how to feel about it. It kinda has a lot of repercussions that might never get addressed.

Today was an OK day for me, if only because it couldn't be as bad as yesterday.

Saw Cap 2. It was pretty good! One question though... where the hell is Hawkeye? I might have blinked and missed mention of him in one specific part I guess, but the question still stands.

I watched SAO due to someone else dragging me into it. I enjoyed the first 10 episodes or so, then it kinda went down after that.

Slowly getting through Bravely Default. I like how the subtitle changes on the main menu about halfway through Chapter 6, it's a nice touch.

I'm going to chime in and say that I have seen a lot of hate based on the fact that the original LoS wasn't a Metroidvania. Most people equate Castlevania with everything post-SotN, and with how most of the games went after it, you can't really blame them too much.

I agree that I can see some design elements from the pre-SotN games in LoS. The combat elements borrow a lot from Lament of Innocence (which came out a good year and a half before God of War, by the by) and of course God of War itself. Is this a bad thing? Not really, since the combat itself is enjoyable.

The atmosphere in LoS was just fine... when compared to pre-SotN Castlevanias. I've heard people complaining that it wasn't mostly in a castle, which uhh... most of the pre-SotN Castlevanias also had in common. This kinda reinforces some of what Flame was saying. Again, I can see why people do it though.

All that said though... they kinda screwed the pooch with the following games (Mirror of Fate and LoS2). They weren't nearly as well designed overall as the first LoS was. They each felt lacking in their own way, whereas the first LoS was pretty solid in itself.

So kinda like a Fox Illusion you can queue up? I can get behind that.

... I still want Baby Metroid now.

Stupid headphones keep dying on me.

Edit:
This is a wonderful look into what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite shows.
If only more people stuck to their guns... if only.

I didn't find 2 to be as bad as people make it out to be. The gameplay feels better than in the first, for one. The story is where most people don't seem to like it, but I was alright with it.

Honestly, I don't quite grasp how Ridley being a playable character is stupid, he has more potential than plenty of other characters.

I want playable Baby Metroid. He would start off weak and easily killable, but he'd get bigger as he attacks. His Final Smash would be Mother Brain's Hyper Beam.

Oh god.

I figured out how I would draw a realistic Jigglypuff.

The concept is frightening.
That's... frightening, knowing some of the stuff that you've done so far :P

Oh yeah, I approved of the music they used when showing Yoshi. My favourite theme for him by far.
