DASH / Re: When will Nintendo get Mega Man 64 out on VC?
« on: February 03, 2010, 07:54:52 AM »
Capcom had to optimize the game so it could fit onto the cartridge, which held considerably less space than CDs. In doing so, they had to reduce a lot of things for it to work. Not to mention the N64 being a royal pain to develop for in general.

I was actually trying to find it to post more on the original topic, but man, it totally spiraled into something crazier didn't it? XD
Oh my yes. Didn't help that the original topic itself was questionable, either.

...why didn't I find this thread earlier?

Holy. [parasitic bomb]. XD
You did though =P

Oh I am SO gonna throw down in this thread later. I want to see what people have to say first though before I get started. 8)

If I get this game, I fully expect you guys to kick my ass around a bit even before I unlock everything. It's the best way to learn, so that I don't get bogged down by getting used to the CPU.

Wow... this thread. Just wow.

All I'll say is that Popularity =/= Quality. I'm leaving it at that.

Doesn't seem to stop Frank West. Wait, cameo's can bypass legal issues?
... Wait, huh? Capcom's characters weren't the issue legally, it was all on Tatsunoko's side >_>

Is this one the boss fight against that guy on that island with bell?
That would indeed be the one. Although, some of the story elements in that area really pisses people off...

As far as Chrono Cross is concerned, the music I liked aside from the ones already mentioned is this:

Trigger still has the better boss music overall, though.

I enjoyed both... Trigger more than Cross, though. Cross would have been even better if it had nothing to do with Trigger. Also if the characters were more fleshed out... never understood why they went with like 40 PCs, even though they have little to no personality.

Maybe... to be not quite as hard as Ninja Gaiden 2
I'd be fine with something closer to NG2, considering the first NG is harder overall.

[tornado fang]. YES.

Cue people bitching about the time limit from MM here.

The bad news: Tatsunoko is a bit uneasy about some characters being used. Samurai Pizza Cats and Mospeada aren't going to show up any time soon.
That makes me so so sad.

Makes me think of the Capcom 5. Look how well that turned out.

Well, green is also often associated with courage. In that sense, willpower fits in.

I always lay traps on the jumps when I get the chance. I try to spread it out on each lap, hoping that eventually someone will fall prey to it.

Mario Kart for me it is this!

Agreed. It's why I always thoroughly enjoy it when
the remixed version
comes up in Brawl. I have a lot of good memories of the first Mario Kart.

« on: January 18, 2010, 04:59:39 PM »
... I played the 360 version. The werehog stages provided little to no fun for me. It would most likely be the same thing for those sections even if it wasn't a Sonic game. There was a ridiculous amount of werehog stages in that version too, so I can only imagine what it's like in the PS2/Wii version. That is all I'm gonna say on that matter, since going into it any further obviously has no point.

I just hope that Sonic Team realizes that it's not all about the speed... it's about the momentum. We'll see how it goes in the end.

The gameplay and camera were awful in the werehog levels. When the camera is positioned in ways where you can tell the proper location to jump, it really sucks. Also, being able to drown on a platform that's out of the water (among many many other things) just shouldn't happen. The length of said levels were much longer than they should have been, as well.

Mario Kart Wii is terrible. While Double Dash had it's issues, I find it to be far better than MKW. That is all I'll say here.

HMV's never really caught on here.  However, Tim Horton's is growing in Manhattan.  I tried their Hot Chocolate the other day.  It was delicious!
It is pretty good, isn't it?

As for the collection, I've seen it at most Blockbusters I've been to. I know you guys have those in the US :P

... do you mean aside form being playable right from the start?

Nintendo wants to forget that StarFox 2 was ever made, so don't get your hopes up. I will be pleasantly surprised if ever they do release it, but it's very highly unlikely.
