To be fair, it was doing better off track than when it was on track >_>'

Well, it did take longer than I thought a mere slightly altered recolor wouldIt should take 5 minutes though

I think the werehog, (inexcusable fail at terminology aside,) was pretty fun. (360/PS3 ver.) 1 or 2 awkward camera angles here or there, but it was an enjoyable experience. I loved levels like Skyscraper scrapmer night, among others. And if the prospect of werewolf Sonic was that annoying, then squint and imagine you are playing Knuckles. With stretchy arms.... The camera was horrible in the night stages. Ho.rri.ble. That does not qualify as just "1 or 2 awkward camera angles here or there", pretty much any spot where you needed to make a precise jump it was placed in such a way that you can't judge the jump properly. It wasn't just that, the game had it's fair share of other problems. You could drown while standing on dry ground, for [tornado fang] sakes. This was all on the 360 version too, so don't go telling me it's because it's the Wii/PS2 version. Those night stages would have been unacceptable to me even if it wasn't a Sonic game. How that's better than the little miniscule mistakes they're making in Sonic 4's freaking beta version that you haven't even played, I don't even want to know.
I wouldn't go so far to say Metroid does it. But yeah, Kirby is notorious for this stuff.Ridley and Kraid come to mind as far as Metroid is concerned.
Sub Tank has been watching my other houses. Why? You should totally see who lasts the longest.
but yeah I am gonna TRY not to kill anyone off.
I understand where you guys are coming from, and I agree that it's a risky move on Sega's part, but why compare it to Sonic 3 and Knuckles? That game is pretty much legendary amongst the fanbase. It's highly unlikely Sega could now try to achieve that same level of awesomeness. Rather than comparing it to something you should know that, at this stage in their career, Sega can never hope to equal, why not just try the game out and see how fun it is in its own right?Listen to this. Just like I've had to say to most series revivals nowadays (which makes me so sad) how about we wait to see how the final game is before we start bitching about it. It's one thing to speculate, it's another to whine away about things that are so minuscule and might not even be final.
I believe his point is that even if it is 2D they WILL find a way.Exactly my point, thanks Taiyo.
Wait, the Rebound Striker can be shot diagonally?Yeah, it's not like there was ever a weapon that could shoot diagonally in the early classic series before. Nope.
BASS!
I ONLY HAVE TIME FOR MARIO PAINTGOOD THING IT'S SO AWESOME
Sonic's running animation is a bit off.... But hell yeah. FinallyYeah, I noticed that too. Chances are that's only for slower speeds mind you, but yeah, it did seem off.
It's about friggin' time.
So, Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. The Phantom Menace, perhaps?Does that mean we have to wait until Episode 4 before it starts getting good?
But the thing is that Japanese games tend to be more respect and known than games from the west of the world. Every knows Mario and Sonic, Hell, everyone knows Capcom Konami Namco. Does anyone know or care who Midway is?Look, it's clear that you're biased here, considering the whole "Nippon" thing. But seriously, expand your horizons a bit. As others have mentioned, take a look at Blizzard and Valve. Other you might want to check out are Bioware and Bethesda too. That's not even bringing up EA or Activision, which people are clearly quite aware of even if you don't like the main genre they focus on.
I want to narrow it down to video game catergories, but I need some good thought on this. I mean Other than FPS, what catergories is Nippon NOT known for?
Most people forget forget that Tetris was originally a Russian idea.
