Let me put it this way. It would take tons of funds for Capcom to make L3 for the consoles, and the very fact that the game hasn't been made yet is proof enough that it isn't worth the risk to them. The series was already in cult status as it is, and wouldn't benefit from the whole "revival" process that brought interest to other Capcom series in HD (Bionic Commando for example, which didn't do all that well if I recall well). The fact that they spent much less on reviving the classic series (which basically every old school gamer has at least heard of) also makes the likelyhood of L3 on consoles that much slimmer. It would be nice to have it as a full release on consoles, but logically it's just a pipedream.

Frankly, if they ever get to it there's two ways that stand a much larger chance of working:
1) On handheld, where the development cost would be low, or
2) by Episodic content, much like Sega is planning on doing for Sonic 4.

I'd play more if it weren't for the questionable netcode. Some lag here and there I'd understand, but there's frankly more than there should be on Brawl.

Certain camera-angled games actually make those bits easier. It's what Mario Galaxy nailed really well. The perfect angles to do platforming in.
Well yeah... hence why I specified ones that suck :P (for example Sonic Unleashed)

Games that manage to still have sections with forced camera angles that suck. How are we supposed to make a proper jump if we can't even judge the jump well in the first place?

Nice to see this project is still coming along well. Hope you can get in everything that you want to work.

Dark Hold is the name of a special weapon from X5 though.
That's the idea, I'm sure. I'm surprised you didn't bring up Soul Body considering you brought that up, as well. :P

As much as I like SF64, I would have preferred something brand new in the same vein as SF64 as opposed to the original yet again. I've played the [parasitic bomb] out of it and the original. Speaking of which, if ever they do make a new one proper I hope the music is closer to the SNES game. The tracks were so much better than SF64's.

Anyway, so far, it's a decent stage, though, the pit in the center is a bit inescapable without noclipping.
You can get out of it just fine by crouching.

Anyways, so far it seems relatively fine although the room itself is rather plain. How many rooms do you plan to have per map, may I ask?

Not sure if it's been posted yet, but apparently there's a chance that it might end up on the Wii eventually. Whether this is really a possibility or not has yet to be seen.

FYI, MHX allows you to skip the leg upgrade without the need for hacking.  Although I personally have a hard time getting used to any post-3 MegaMan game with no movement faster than your basic walk (my main gripe with Rock in 9/10).
Yeah, it's rather enjoyable to have the choice to run through most of it without any parts. The only part you still have to get is the buster, but at least it's so close to the end that you can still do the majority of everything with nothing else.

Eh, I always preferred X to Zero. He always seemed more real, whereas Zero always sort of came off as "generic badass 101". Probably why people like him so much, though.

As far as X6 goes... I just don't like the fact that you have to use parts if you go unarmoured. I would have liked to be able to finish the whole game without touching a part or armour, much like pretty much every other X game. Oh well.

My personal favourite is still X2. Sure, it's one of the easiest ones of the bunch, but I find it has the best flow of them all. No real grinding required at all, if you knew where to stock up your subtanks in mere seconds. The ability to dash right away. Also, the boss AI is somewhat more intelligent as far as X-buster only use is concerned (something that X3 fails horribly at). X1 is my very close second favourite, hindered only by the fact that you have no choice but to get some upgrades (barring passwords, of course).

I like the idea of modes, although I'd have to chime in that perhaps "New Age Mode" would most likely be the "Standard Mode", and the one you have listed would probably be something along the lines of "Classic Mode". Just seems more likely to me that it would turn out that way, is all.

I've never seen a good story told in a Megaman game, but aight. Believe it when I see it. Time to get my emulatan on.

...should I play Legends 2 without playing Legends 1 or summat?
I'd suggest doing Legends 1 first to get a general idea of what's going on. That's me though.

As far as Skywards Sword's style, I like it. Maybe that's because I actually liked the artstyle in WW. Mixing TP's and WW's artstyles looks rather nice so far, I find. It will be nice to see what they do with the bosses.

I'm actually inclined to believe them about their claims of technical difficulties on stage, since every hands-on report I've read has said the controls are rather smooth and responsive.

Yeah, I'm hoping there's more platforming to it. That said, look at the castle in the snow from the trailer. The way the camera pans back to Gabriel, you can sort of see the path the player has to take to get there, and it looks like it goes right up the side of the castle he's in.

I have never played Kid Icarus before. Is Medusa just as big a pushover as she is in Castlevania? :V
In the original... sort of. There's this spot you can stay in that you'll be more or less safe through the whole thing. Getting there is another thing entirely though.

I'm liking what I've seen so far, that's for sure. The game makes me think of a mix of Star Fox and Sin & Punishment, which is certainly not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. Those flying segments really make me want a new Star Fox in the vein though XD

The enemy design looks good so far, as do the environments. I wonder how creative they're going to get with going through the levels, though.

Those first few screenshots actually DO seem 360/PS3-quality screenshots. I seriously hope the game plays as well as it looks...
Agreed. If it can take the good elements from Unleashed and leave out a good portion of the bad, then I can definitely see myself enjoying this. Time will tell, I suppose.

Late and such, I know, but I finally got around to beating it yesterday. All 242 stars at 25:57:45 (although the game was left paused at times, dunno if that counts in)... The Perfect Run made me so so sad. The part right after you use the clouds was by far the most difficult part of the whole thing.

1472
Yeah, that's a probability. Looks like Valve changed sides. =P
Sort of. It's going to take longer for them to dev for it though, considering they won't be able to do quick dirty ports like they could for the 360. They're still quite PC-centric, so more often than not they're making that version first and foremost.

1473
Hahahahahaha! Gabe, what are you doing there? You hate the PS3! 8D

...so now he loves it? Best version in any console? Um... wow.
Because Valve won't be forced to charge for updates to the game, unlike what they have to do for Microsoft :P

1474
I'll be more interested when they show more than SF64 stuff =P

Never really thought about it, but... wow. Deadpool and Dante are pretty much evenly matched. Blades and guns, always with pointy stuff stuck in them through battles, cracking constant jokes...
Yup... now all we need is Dante to break the fourth wall 8D
