Otherwise, the Castlevania Lords of Shadow Soundtrack that came with the game.

Still think a short flashback of some sort (which the fricken commercial actually does well enough) ingame would have solidified it for people. As it stands it's too open, and people who have no experience with the backstory of Samus won't get the issues Samus has with Ridley. Did the game do a good job of displaying PTSD? Yes. Did it do a good job at explaining why Samus has PTSD? Afraid not. The people that were interviewed there were told of Samus' backstory before viewing the scene, the majority of the complainers were not informed of said backstory properly. I stand firmly in that.

Just to reiterate, I already knew of her past so I could understand what she was going through. A lot of people that played the game did not have this luxury however, so I can see why they would react the way they did. Not to mention PTSD is sadly brushed under the rug a little bit too often, sadly.

I really dislike the 3D effects they use nowadays. It always hurts my eyes after a certain amount of time without fail.

1380
Eh I wouldn't say so. That might be because the PSP handles sound in general better though. From what little I've heard of both mind you, since I always use earphones.

1381
I'm pretty sure most gaming communities in general are a bit on the self-entitled side, not just the Rockman community :P

As for the voices... I dunno. Might be hard to get them all back together after 10 years, but I guess we'll see.

1382
Yeesh this thread... yeesh. It could have been worse though I suppose.

Anyways, I'm interested in how they'll handle the controls. I suppose Talyn's post there is definitely a possibility, but I wonder if they're going to bother using the touch screen at all for base controls.

HOLY [parasitic bomb]

at the beginning, when the SC4 music started playing

[tornado fang]ing SNES flashback
Seriously... hit all the right notes. And they know it, too :P

That's pretty awesome. Just another title to add to the list of 3DS games that interest me.

1385
I wish one of these days the systems would come in like Emerald Green or something. Green always gets the shaft :\ (except for the N64)

Well, Jason Isaacs was announced with pretty much all the other voice actors... they just didn't mention his role.

Very nice trailer, it showcased a bit more of what the game offers. I really like the music selection too 8D

I'm a sucker for artbooks for stuff like this, so the limited edition version of this game is tempting me far more than it should.

In Zero Mission you could always get it early. Don't forget the original Metroid either where there wasn't any Space Jump :P

A lot of those animals were great, I hope we get a good variety in this.

..It was his fault
Oh my yes, it's my fault for giving a source and asking one from you and getting none :P The video in question wasn't quite clear at the time. In retrospect perhaps his wording was a tad off, as well as my understanding of what he said. Not like I pressed this issue later on whatsoever anyways, nor am I the one to say the game's supposed time frame, you were the one that brought up the year and provided no source at the time. Just saying. Anywho, that's quite a ways back now when information was scarce. Pointing fingers probably isn't the best way to go about things, eh?

But yes, looking back at those pages reminded me of what I said about being glad Iga was not involved. I stand by that still, really. This game is looking rather good, I'll certainly be trying it out at the very least.

2. Everyone in here should know or already knows that with the next installment of the DASH games, there will be change to accommodate for the 10 year progression in input design and technology that we've gone through since DASH2. What I don't seem to understand is why you feel as though the game will be fundamentally broken for using a "step up" evolution from the controls of 2000. Not everything requires a dramatic earth moving shift in order to accommodate everyone. May I direct your attention for a bit to the 3D Zelda series that still uses a similar control and input method as it did in 1998 and still manages to be accessible, interesting, and show change all at the same time?
This is exactly what Capcom (the company in question here) did with RE, hence why I brought it up before. Batsy took it as if I mean DASH could have the same controls as RE, but that's not what I meant. I mean the controls in Re4&5 are evolved from the earlier games. I'm just saying it's quite possible Capcom may stick with the same base structure and move on from there. I wouldn't put it past them to do so.

1392
and seeing as Capcom will NOT have that retarded tank control scheme in this generation on a new system
RE4 and RE5, dude. Those both have Tank controls, and they're both recent. I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility for Capcom to go that way. Not that the controls handled badly anyways, for me at least.

Watch it be something like being able to use Trigger in MMU :P

And just for the hell of it:

Unrelated to the video, I wonder if they're going to have another RE character in there.

1395
Yoshinori Kawano perhaps?
Sounds like he's probably who he's referring to, looking at his track record. He was involved in quite a few Mega Man games, which includes all three Dash games.

Ramirez!

Born in Egypt.

Traveled to Japan to get his kickass sword and a wife.

Later traveled to Spain to live there.

Then traveled to Scotland to train McLeod. The friggin Highlander!

They don't make movies like this anymore.

I'm old.
You're not the only one, clearly.

There's no hype for Panzer Dragoon because of Kinect.

Anyways, TGS could be better I guess, but it could be far worse. There's going to be more to it, it pretty much just started anyways.

Although it'll probably never happen, it would be kinda cool to see Tactics characters thrown in. Like I dunno, Ramza and Wiegraf? I'm sure there's plenty of stuff to work off of there.
