Original / Re: MegaMan Universe Canceled!
« on: April 01, 2011, 05:51:50 AM »
It's sad to see it canceled, I really liked that alternative design. I wouldn't worry about DASH3, though. I think it's too late now to suddenly cancel it. Way too many resources went into promotion and whatnot.
I dunno... they had a few trailers made already for MMU.

He wants changes, except the ones he doesn't like. Good and bad is subjective, Flashy boy. Best learn that properly.

That would be awesome!

Says the one that complained that Hard Corps Uprising wasn't close enough to Contra Hard corps. The hypocrisy is delicious. Don't act like you're any different from any other member on the board when you're subject to doing exactly the same thing you [sonic slicer] about.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing new areas rather than retread old ground. Something in the same vein as Termina or Koholint, but not necessarily those exact areas. Something where perhaps Ganon isn't the main focus (a la Majora's Mask, for example). Thankfully we've had such games before, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility. It would be nice if they weren't on handhelds for a change though, where most of these "sidestory games" (as I've heard them be called) seem to be situated.

Ehhhh... I dunno. The designs seem kinda off to me (Bugs in particular). The expressions we're shown aren't the greatest either, but maybe it'll get better down the line. Let's face it, it wasn't necessarily the slapstick itself, but the character's expressions that really made it good.

Those qualms aside, the writing seems fine, considering the direction they're taking the show in. At least the characters seem to act like themselves.

Yikes, very nice. I always liked using him, but I've grown more accustomed to others in this one. Spidey's already clearly PB's best character so far, and I'd hate to see the ideas this is giving him XD

I'm pretty much physically unable to gain weight. However, doing some training certainly helps keep me sane...ish. Due to genetics, my metabolism is far too high to allow for anything more than a mostly scrawny build.

As far as the word "normal" is concerned for people... I really don't think it exists beyond an ideal that people aspire to. We all have quirks that someone else wouldn't consider "normal".

Also, I don't think it should be compared to the I Phone/Pad/whatever. The games on those platforms don't have the same design philosophy or audience. Not to mention the different input mechanisms.

Imagine if someone spent the time to code it to interpret Mode 7.
Heh, then F-Zero would be absolutely awesome (well, moreso than it already is).

So apparently, Spider-Man no longer has his Spider-Sense.

...Wow.
I... don't know what to say to that. That's unbelievably stupid.

They should make a SRPG with all the characters. They already have experience with Fire Emblem, so why not?

I miss the days where Boo and Starman were the only way to steal/erase items. I mean, some of the new items have a good concept on paper, but they really need tweaking. Except Cloud AIDS, [tornado fang] that item.

Yeah, the coop mode in Double Dash does indeed suck. The VS modes work like they always used to though, each person picks two people and such. It isn't my favourite Mario Kart by any stretch, but I still like it more than MKWii. While the item balance was messed up, it still isn't nearly as bad as in MKWii.

I do believe Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are the four games that have taken the most splitscreen multiplayer time for me over the years. I miss those days sometimes.

1267
Oh we won't even get into the whole "Why every Mario Kart after 64 is worse!" debate.
Debate? Doesn't that require people who don't agree with this sentiment? XD

This is definitely one of those games where your mileage may vary. I personally enjoyed it more than God of War.

I honestly dont think Slogra and Gaibon really have the magnitude to be great evils which would require Gabriel to become a vampire in order to defeat.
I didn't mean as the main focus of the DLC, I meant as enemies/sub-bosses. Preferably sub-bosses.

As for the main focus, I'm leaning towards Galamoth or Legion to be perfectly honest. I don't really see Chaos as an option here.

I want to see Slogra and Gaibon. I want them to be as awesome as in SCIV, as well.

I'll join the tournament and handily get my ass handed to me. Might get me back into the game because I haven't touched it in a little while now.

I'll just leave this here. It's a video showing the different quakes and aftershocks between March 9th and March 14th, where each second is an hour.

I bought the Okami Art Book from UDON at PAX East this weekend. It's gorgeous.
That's actually precisely the one I'm talking about. I see it every time I'm at my local store, and it's taunting me XD
