So it turns out that Megaman artist Hitoshi Ariga designed quite a few Pokemon...

Art Director Sugimori gave me the all clear to tell everyone, so I finally get to make a few announcements about work that I have been doing recently.

I had a hand in the new 3DS game "Pocket Monsters XY". Specifically, I designed some new Pokemon! (listed below)
- Pangoro
- Inkay
- Malamar
- Honedge
- Doublade
- Aegislash
- Tyrunt
- Tyrantrum
- Amaura
- Aurorus

I've actually been doing video game work for quite a while now (over two decades), including projects for things like PCE, MD, and SFC. Apparently the Pokemon art director, Sugimori, had taken notice of some of my past work and that's why he asked me if I'd be interested in doing some design work for Pokemon XY.

So in some ways, designing Pokemon for XY was like an extension of my days of drawing monsters for "ActRaiser 2" and "Beyond Oasis". I am a Pokemon Trainer as well as an illustrator, so needless to say I was incredibly honored and pleased to have this opportunity.

I just thought the Pokemon XY players following me might find this information interesting!

At the end of the day you should just use whatever 'mons you like best, regardless of how good they may or may not be.

You'll probably enjoy it more!

Is Mawhile that good? I just caught two of them during my current visit at the Glittering Cavern, both male and female.

Perhaps I should make team with them in it?

Mawile is a pretty terrible Pokemon if you don't Mega Evolve it and even then there are a lot of better choices for a Mega slot, I wouldn't really recommend it.

Ruri fell today.  3x Dragon Dance, that was some SERIOUS Dragonite power!  Toxic cut the sweep short, but Mega Charizard cleaned things up from there.

Just so you know, when I'm using a team that doesn't include my Mawile I'm not at my best :3

I'll probably be playing mostly on my XL from now on which means if you still want to play with me and such you'll need to add my new FC:

Let me know if you add me and I'll add you right back.

Ah, I have only 1 win to your 4. The reason our battle ended the way it did is 'cause I was starting to be able to predict what you were going to do thanks to our battles. It's really was a good battle. I recommend with sticking to a Main 6 with only 1 or 2 replacements. If you keep changing your team a around, it gets hard to master them.

That's exactly why I lost, because I wasn't using my main team. I was just testing a few things out.

There's no way I'd seriously use Mega Manectric. kek

Just Black and White 2 versions only? Kinda horrible... :<

Good thing it's free for the first month, after I'm done with what I need I'm removing it from my console/account.
Just don't see the point after transferring your Pokemon as it's a one-way trip (like with Red/Blue/Yellow with Gold/Silver back in the day but it's was reasonable, no "paying" to transfer) and only the ones you need.

Bank will probably be used for all future generation transferrals so you'll probably have to pay for it eventually, besides you're not paying for the transfer aspect of it but rather for the online storage.

Ugh, Ruri. I really thought I had you in that second battle...

I still have other things up my sleeve...

I am going to be afraid of your Dragonite.

Dragonite is a pushover as long as you know what it's running.

Hey, give him a break. He is working on his team. What you need is better type coverage then. Short of your serpent and the mega-'mon, you don't have that many attackers either. I was able to beat his Mega Mewtwo. I personally don't use Ubers (Though I bet its going to launch the Megas in there), but we make do.

Oh no I beat him in the rematch just fine, it took me by surprise is all. It's still a fair lose on my part of course but I think my team is good enough to beat any challenge as is for the time being, any defeats will be because I messed up not that the team wasn't up to scratch.

Just give me a chance, Ruri! When I finally get the proper moves on my Dragonite, fix the status attacks of my Klefki, and obtain the last two members of my team, I will defeat you!  O:<

I'm sure. Maybe if you pull out a cheap Mega Mewtwo when I'm not expecting it like 'shell you might have a chance.

I got a shiny Boldore off some Japanese guy on the GTS who wanted a male lv. 51-60 Sylveon, luckily I had one of those lying around I didn't want and after the trade it evolved into a Gigalith.
