Yes, but Kira was still on the list less than a year ago and had been there ever since around SEED started airing 8 years prior.

And there was nothing SEED-related airing at the time.

Nah it just means that they're expanding the Unova dex, as in you can catch non-gen 5 Pokemon before beating the E4.

So far I'd say it's pretty good. The first part was actually quite boring at times but the second part has more than made up for it, part of the fun being seeing how the original characters have grown after the 25-year timeskip.

The second part is also interesting in that the protagonist doesn't have the usual special/psychic powers, being completely devoid of them... so far, anyway. Although because of it and other factors, he's quite quickly accumulating Kou Uraki levels of butthurt.
