As for Capcom giving the rights to someone else? Maybe not fully. Let someone else try make a MegaMan game. Worked fine for Metroid Prime and look at the new Tomb Raider.
Donīt have to change the basics,just try something new. Sega did. Look how well Sonic Generations is.
