Are comic books/strips cool?  Because I almost never see lowercase letters in those...

Entertainment / Re: Death Note Live Action

Oh yeah, I skimmed through that script once.  It actually did use a lot of the events from the early chapters of the manga.  I can even sympathize with the desire to remove the Shinigami.  Sure they gave the Death Notes a reason to exist and someone for our protagonist to talk to, but they also followed a lot of silly rules that seemed to have been contrived just to make the plot work the way it did.

But what did bother me was that it looked like they were having Luke start using the Death Note out of revenge for the murder of his mother, to try to justify why he would do all that, while I prefer the themes of the original story that power corrupts, and it's the nice, smart people who have the furthest to fall.  It's simply a much juicier story for the guy to become a murderer due to idealism rather than trauma.

Hey, I think this is a neat project.  Are you doing this because they didn't release any official soundtracks?  (I haven't really read up on which shows do or don't have official soundtrack albums.)

So it's more like we're getting the semi-sequel after missing out on the original?

Oh yeah, and if a song repeats itself exactly at certain points, then you could play one of the repetitions over another one that had more extra sounds in order to reduce them!

I heard so many false rumors about him dying before this, I'm not sure whether to care...

Are you going to get the "NT Warrior" songs too?

They are ripped from high quality episodes, and I used a special program to get rid of sound effects and voices... kind of.

It's just, that you can't possible fully get rid of them.
Can you explain what you did?  I thought the best you could do would be to find the same song in multiple episodes and splice all the parts that had the least extra sound together.

Everybody loves Super Mario Collection for some reason... I would like to see a new version that incorporates the additions from the Super Mario Advance series, but lets you turn them off if you want to.

Killed by an AreaSteal, I love doing that.

He was intelligent by you know, human emotions and stuff, its just that he didnt fit in with an orginization trying to free Japan  using some demonic power that bends humans wills. Thats why he seems like a moron, he doesent fit in.
Yeah, Ogi often seemed a little too "normal" for the show in general.  Maybe he's the one we're supposed to identify with!

-MegaMan told Wily to die!
-MegaMan is more than a robot!
Hmm, now I wonder if MegaMan was just lying to try to scare Wily out of doing anything again.  Obviously it didn't work, as Dr. Wily must have lost his fear of death by now.

I suppose Megaman 1's box art is also what Megaman really looks like right? Since Capcom US had it made. Megaman 1, 2, and 9's horrendous art.
Yes, and everyone had tiny bodies with huge heads until the second game, and they all kept on growing until they snapped back like rubberbands in 9.

Well, if you don't want to disregard wonky art styles, then... Maybe MegaMan was trying on some alternate armor for a short time?  Had to get his face re-smoothed once in a while?  Anything's possible!

In case of Rock, you'd note that his Japanese name is Rockman, his American name is Megaman.  You'd note that MM4 established his pre-MM name was Rock, but that this was changed in MM PU to be "Mega" (probably because they were being too literal).  For me personally I'd use "Rock" as his dominany pre-MM name, even though it was overridden by "Mega".  It's lasted a while while "Mega" was just in PU, so it hasn't shown it's staying power.
With this reasoning, which would you say has greater precedence, "Bolts" or "Screws"?

And those manuals influenced a lot of other media, for years afterwards.
"Thanks to you, my former partner has transformed Rock into a humanoid like yourself."

...Oh, an actual Pikachu action game!  At first I thought it sounded like one of those pirate hacks that changes some other game to star Pikachu and calls it a Pokemon game.

Why did I expect him to say
"The name's Wily!  Wily the robot sprite, they call me.  I heard your wish, and, well, you're gonna get it!  No more robots for you from now on!"
?

Super Mario Advance 4 did the same thing to demonstrate tricks for certain levels.  Of course you happen to need two GBA systems and an e-Reader to see it.
Once I talked to someone who figured out a way to take SMA4 movies played in VisualBoyAdvance and turn them into e-card data.  Though I'm not sure they would synch on the real system...

What if Wily was in exile, but he wore a disguise that fooled Right long enough that Wily could work for him until there was an opportunity to steal the robots?  I mean, he had a pretty good disguise going on in that 6 game!

I think there were a few of those in the capcom-unity topic, but it could use a lot of updating, and it could end up pretty huge.

RS also had glaring story errors, such as Light and Wily being partners,
How do you know they weren't?
