Cute, maybe, but it wouldn't be my first choice, especially after reading its Pokedex entry.... :\

Maybe...but since we cards are as flexible as a piece of cloth, any passerby would just see it as part of the clothing....  That's basically one of the reasons Hierophant can freely walk around the public with one of our cards on his back and cast magic without anyone knowing where he got it from....

Once I use my magic to drive back the dark entity, the glow surrounding the edge of the cards will fade, but the repellent will remain strong until I get separated from the radius of your personal space, so it won't draw too much attention from any other passerby....

Merrick felt Death staring like a vulture at the High Priestess that represented the unconscious, good WilyII being drawn to his healing light.  Once the book touched the light, he attempts to speak through him through the energy of his white magic.

I shouldn't talk long....  The Death energy that represents your current persona is watching and I can't be sure if he can hear us even with your energy touching this magical light....

My white magic was able to drive away the darkness that I assume is your old personality, and as long as I stay equipped to your physical conscience, I can keep that energy away for as long as it takes for you and Mewtwo to find a solution to ending this problem indefinitely....

However, if we get separated before that happens, the darkness will return and this time I don't think he'll be ignorant enough to let me anywhere near your unconscious energy....  At worse, he could figure out how to control my card and use it to his own means until someone rips it off....

Seeing the other presences disappear, Merrick knew they, themselves, had done all they could and respectfully bowed out, or WilyII had other plans of regaining his former self.  However, he wasn't ignorant of his healing magic, one that he was familiar with and knew he could trust.  The only problem now was figuring out how to get his attention and ask him if he truly wanted his help warding off his evil persona until a solution could be found.

It was a risky concept, given he's never spoken to anyone but what was physically conscious, but if even the person who created him and Tarot Skitty is still conducting routine tests to see what else they could unlock past his original intentions, perhaps he should at least give it a try.

He forms his staff and tries projecting it into the darkness of WilyII's unconscious, brightening the orb with the same, unchanging healing warmth that is regenerating his physical conscience in an attempt to get his attention without alerting his current physical conscience.  The transparent representation of Death that was his evil persona hasn't noticed anything unusual about the out-of-the-blue recovery, but he appears to be catching into his seemingly uninvited intrusion.  Merrick can only hope he doesn't think twice about ripping him off his back and crumbling him like a piece of paper to make a crude, painful point.

Ryo, Posu and Nega stared at the unusually large gummi bear, once again cocking their head to one side, seeming to suggest they had never seen a sugary snack bigger than what was normally sold in the Pokemart.

Pikachu nodded, and went back over to the pile of CDs, and began to flip through them, until he found one that looked more worn out then the rest. He held up the CD with both hands, over his head, in some sort of triumphant pose.

(Why does this suddenly come to mind...? o-O)

Dr. Wily II blinked at what the Blaziken said, and glasped the scar on his chest again. The Blaziken was right, Pyro managed to do it... Then again, Pyro is unorthodox... But maybe... Just maybe... The Blaziken was on the something... "Thank you for your advice." Dr. Wily II bowed.

Gazing into WilyII's conscience, he finds that the good energy had since been cut down from the tree and taken on a crown-like hat with a moon crescent and a book, suggesting he has now taken up a sense of unconscious awareness, though still lacking the strength and confidence to overcome his dominant energy.

So far, he can see three other types of energy surrounding him, all not behaving like the one dictating his physical conscience.  One is draped in robes and shoulders a stick with a sack hanging off the end with one hand and a flower in the other; he can't help but assume this belonged to Pyro, though why he's in WilyII's conscience is beyond his structured realm of understanding.  Two are variations of his own energy, the Hierophant; both are made up of a staff much like his and the organic Hierophant, but only one hears his miter, adorned with three Pentacles where the yellow orb should be and the other wears the crown of the Emperor; they could be two of Pyro's Pokemon, but which one's he can't tell through the obscurity of his Tarot Energy.

He wants to get their attention, at least let the good WilyII know he wants to help resolve this situation, but doesn't trust that he can filter his mental focus to just one aware energy.  If he tries to speak, the Death energy controlling his physical conscience may hear him and rip him off his back with several cruel intentions of ensuring he never interferes with whatever sadistic, vengeful schemes he had planned for the seemingly oblivious Team Rocket.

Merrick decides to try something else in the hopes of not drawing attention to himself and losing his only means of informing the conscience inside that he wanted to lend his assistance to this current predicament.  He can sense the physical conscience somewhat exhausted from what he can assume was Pyro's unorthodox roughhousing and decides to play into his recovery by unleashing a slow, steady stream of cure energy to relieve his exhaustion, while at the same time imbuing his presence to those still trapped in the unconscious realm.

With Ahrzyal freed from conviction, Merrick decides to vacate her back and cautiously make his way towards WilyII to check up on him.  Throughout most of the fiasco, he sensed more than one personality invading the doctor's conscience, trying to help ward off the evil that was manifesting his entire being.  Deciding to want to help with those other invading souls, he presses himself against WilyII's back to meet them first before deciding whether he should enact his white magic repellent again or collaborate on what ideas they could use to permanently drive the evil infection out of his soul.

As Chariot was wandering about the fields, looking for any Pokemon to capture in the Park Balls he purchased at the lobby, Hierophant, Synthis and Genbu, who sat on the blue-haired priest's head to avoid being picked on by various field Pokemon became distracted by the distant presence of the Meowth balloon drifting away from the park.  Synthis wrinkles his nose in suspicion and bounds off after it to figure out what it was doing here, prompting Hierophant to try and run after him only to feel his leg snag, causing him to fall into the thigh-deep grass with a startled yelp.

Chariot snaps his head around, noticing Hierophant and Genbu were no longer visible and attempts to look down only to barely notice Synthis almost swimming through the tall grass after a seemingly familiar hot air balloon.

"Sonava-!" he growled before tossing the Park Balls into the Chingling bag around Excalibur's neck and looks to Danny, "Keep an eye on them until I get back.  I need to check up on something that might cause problems for the rest of this city."

Before the two could ask, Chariot rushes off after Synthis and the balloon.  Excalibur looks down into the grass to find Hierophant trying to shake his leg loose, not noticing the mildly banged up Meowth clinging to his leg.

"Help...me...." he mutters strenuously, "Help...us...."

Excalibur reaches into the grass and hauls Meowth off the ground by the scruff of his neck, allowing Hierophant to get back up and dust off any loose grass that got onto his pure white and green outfit.

"Aren't you with Team Rocket?" he asked, recognizing him as the only Pokemon of the two white-dressed duo that could speak.

"I am...or I think I still am...." Meowth mutters half consciously.  Hierophant sighs in concern before looking over to Excalibur.

"Maybe we should get him to the Pokemon Center down south," he said, "A good recharge should help him better comprehend his current situation."

"NOOOOOOOO!!!"  Meowth yelps as he tries to wiggle lose from Excalibur's maw, "Don't take me to THIS Pokemon Center!  Jessie and James are heading there to check on something and if the Nurse Joy there identifies me as their Pokemon, she'll ignorantly hand me back over and I'll be forced to cooperate with capturing Mewtwo again!"

He grabs his head and buckles his knees together, "Just remembering what that squealing brat drilled into our brains riles me up; claiming that Mewtwo befriended that green-haired trainer by brainwashing her into being his personal slave!?  I still don't get why he chose her of all trainers, but certainly not through careless brainwashing!  He's not that kind of Pokemon!  Even his clones admit that the closest he came to becoming a danger to society was gathering all the trainers and their Pokemon onto a secluded Island and threatening to destroy them in a storm he conjured just so his clones could roam the planet, free of oppression!"

He then balled his paws and spread them outward, "But that shrilling brat and who knows who else got involved in recapturing Mewtwo somehow managed to deceive the entire organization into thinking he's a devious mastermind who brainwashed that trainer into being his protector, and I won't stand to humor them any longer if that's the route they were going to take to capture him and force him back into being THEIR personal psychic slave!  If Mewtwo HAS to be captured, I'd rather it was because of his super-strong psychic powers, not his ability to erase memories!"

Hierophant compresses his lips in more concern before sighing and reaches into the Chingling bag, pulling out a Hi-Potion and spraying it onto Meowth, causing him to squeal in pain.

"Oi!  Hey!  Couldn't you use your magic to heal me instead of this stinging piece of junk!?" he yelps.

"I only use my spells for emergencies," Hierophant said, "Ethers are expensive back home, and I'd much rather not reveal that location even though we believe everything you said."  he adds by looking over to Danny, who was grumbling in begrudging agreement while laying flat on Excalibur's back, then the card, though no one could hear what the Tarot was saying due to the picture being concealed between his back and the non-animate picture on the other end of the card.

Merrick was too flushed with arousal to notice Sakura catching onto the realization that Wily isn't himself, his nose almost a fountain of blood that appeared normal within the realm of his card.  Ryo, Posu and Nega, meanwhile just cocked their heads to the side, obviously not familiar with inappropriate offense of invading a human's body.

But seeing Janine turning red with embarrassment and fixing to turn her scorn onto the uncontrolled "pervert" pushed Ryo to spring to his feet and grab WilyII's waist, trying to wrestle him away from her before either gained enough senses to fight each other off.

No sooner had communications been cut, Meowth manages to rake his claws across James' face, startling him into letting him go as he bounces onto the edge of the basket.

"I could tolerate capturing Mewtwo if it was all about his super-strong psychic powers!  But there's no way I'm supporting this crazy idea that he brainwashed everyone into being his personal slaves!  Even you know that's not who he really is!"

"Perhaps if you were in the same situation we were when Mewtwo first discovered us, you'd have just as much reason to follow orders to the letter!" Jessie seethed.

"That's right!" James protests, "While you were out making friends with those clones and helping them defend their home, we were stuck behind bars, fearing our own lives and future!  That, alone, is all the reason we need to help Team Rocket capture that savage experiment before he becomes too accustomed to life as an ordinary Pokemon!"

"Have you forgotten that you, too, helped rescue and protect Mewtwo from the rest of Team Rocket!?  You're no less helpful to this operation than I was when I chose to help him out of respect!"

"We may have helped save Mewtwo, but that was only because we respected how much he cared for the well being of those cloned Pokemon!" Jessie retorts, "Now that he's striking out on his own, and with a whiny little trainer no less, we no longer have reason to disobey Team Rocket and their ambitions for getting him back!"

"If nothing else, at least remind him of the morality he once represented back when he and the other cloned Pokemon questioned their acquaintance to the rest of the Pokemon world!  He shouldn't have to prove his sociability to the rest of the world by sullying himself to some degrading trainer who, for all we know, released all her Pokemon just so she can have Mewtwo all to herself!"

"Bah!  If that's the only reason you're even considering this crazy operation that I ain't taking another step into this process until it blows up in your face!"

"Your loyalties are with Team Rocket first!" Jessie exclaims, "You will cooperate with us if you want to regain your position as the top cat of this organization!"

"There are other opportunities to clean up my reputation and boot that conniving Persian from the boss' lap!" Meowth chuffs, "I'll just keep digging until I find one that won't betray those I deeply respect!"

With that, he turns around and leaps from the blimp.

"Come back here, you traitor!" James exclaims as he and Jessie run to the edge of the basket only to nearly gut themselves hitting the walls.

Jessie muffles a frustrated growl and looks back over to James, "Forget him!  Even if we tie him to a fishing pole and dangle him in front of Mewtwo, he'll figure out a way to break free and blow our cover!"

"But what's to stop him from doing so now!?" James protests.

"Let him do what he wants!  If he somehow finds a way to stop Mewtwo from falling back into Team Rocket's grasp, we'll just treat it as another one of Mewtwo's attempts to brainwash him against Team Rocket!"

James compresses his lips in concern before pushing himself upright and heading towards the other side of the basket in search of the Grand Rhydon, while Jessie keeps an eye out for the Pokemon Center and the strange alteration that was slightly distracting Team Rocket's primary objective.

Merrick sensed the manipulated WilyII lingering nearby, but couldn't abandon Ahrzyal's predicament without leaving her vulnerable to the pain being pressured on her by Janine's stubborn oppression.

Ryo, however, sensed the ominous ripple and cracked one eye open to gaze towards the source, contemplating whether to do something about it or leave things be until it gets out of hand.

Meanwhile...

"Jessie, what's your current position?"  Domino's voice crackled over the radio.  "We have confirmation of the Grand Rhydon's touchdown in Fuchsia, not far from your location.  One of our undercover agents has informed me of an altercation near the city's Pokemon Center.  The only reason I bring this up is because our organization was mentioned by the city's gym leader."  There was a pause.  "You may investigate the matter, but you have orders to not become involved unless, for whatever reason, your target is there!"

"We're passing over the Pal Park at the north end of Fuchsia City," Jessie responds, trying to ignore the plethora of Pokemon roaming around the four different environments making up the park, "And if I assume correctly, the Grand Rhydon is still under Team Rocket's property, and therefore have emergency protocols that will erase all ownership of that traitorous wench!"

"Oh, brillant!" James muses while struggling to keep a fussy clawing Meowth from trying to protest against the two's intentions, "Then we can check the ship's logs for any recent activity and use it to identify and track down all of the trainers that were with Mewtwo and that pink haired traitor!"

I have intentions of having Meowth run into the Pal Park and hide when Jessie and James confronts the trainers and puts Domino's scheme into action, and possibly convince either Hierophant or Chariot and possibly whoever else is in the Pal Park to help him rescue Mewtwo from their unavoidable loyalty to Team Rocket.

But that's only until they get to Fucshia City. 8D

Posu runs out after Sakura, wanting to get back to Ryo and inform him that help was coming.

Nega soon looks behind him to see Quickie running out after him.  Realizing she wasn't as distracted as he previously presumed, he detoured back towards where Ahrzyal was being restrained by the Gym's current leader in the hopes that both she and Sakura could solve this glaring misunderstanding.

Posu eventually makes it back to the cloaked ship, looking around to make sure no one was looking before galloping inside, using her nose to locate Sakura and Xuangzang's whereabouts before finding them still standing outside Ahrzyal's room.  Whether or not they were aware that the pink haired captain had already left was not an issue right now.

Posu runs over to Sakura and jumps up and down in a vain attempt to grab her hand while pointing outside.

"Pli li li!!!  Pli li!!!  Pli li li li li!!!"

Though hearing rumors that Sakura can understand her, she was also hoping Xuangzang would catch on quickly and inform her of Ahrzyal's unfortunate encounter with the current Gym Leader and do something to help her believe Ahrzyal's claims.

Nega rushes into the Pokemon Center and to where Quickie and Mewtwo were, but notices the door closed shut.  He bounces onto the knob and tries to turn it only to find that it was locked from the inside, suggesting the two needed some time alone.  Exasperate, he drops back down to the floor and hops around in a circle, trying to figure out a Plan B before eventually rushing out of the center and towards the Pal Park, hoping one of them has at least competed in the city's Gym and would be more than willing to help convince its current leader to give Ahrzyal a chance.

The trio look to each other before Ryo barks to Posu and Nega to get Sakura or Quickie.  The two nod and split in different directions; Posu heading to where Sakura is, and Nega heading to the Pokemon Center where Quickie is.

Merrick arrived shortly afterwards to find Ryo attempting to move towards Janine with the intention of getting her off Ahrzyal.  Worried that he would get associated with the misunderstanding, he runs over to the Riolu and hovers in front of his face.

"Wait!" he calls out, "I know you want to help Ahrzyal, but you're still in training and barely anyone recognizes you enough to believe anything you might say.  We should figure out some other way of explaining this situation without giving that Gym Leader anymore incentive to think Ahrzyal put us up to this!"

Ryo felt frustrated, but knows he can't lump Blazkrieg into this misunderstanding.  Letting out a reluctant grunt, he flops down to a sitting position and goes into a meditative state, trying to calm his mind and think of a better solution to helping Ahrzyal out of this predicament.  Merrick observes before flying over to Ahrzyal and planting himself, facei-up on her back, using his white magic to wash away any pain she was suffering from Janine's dominating stomp.

"Try and stay calm," he whispers to Ahrzayl, "I believe one of the two trainers that trust you know this person.  If they know anything about this person, they should bring something that'll prove you're no longer a threat."

Merrick watched as the trio parted ways, Wily heading back into his room while Quickie escorted Mewtwo to their quarters.  He was still concerned about the Pikachu that didn't want to be anywhere near Wily, but considering his poor attempt at acquainting to a Pokemon driven to distrust by the mere change of its trainer's behavior, he felt any further prodding would shatter what little will the Pikachu had left to trust anyone.

Reluctantly, he peels his card off the wall and heads back outside, feeling a need to get some fresh air and check back up on the cheering trio and Ahrzyal.

Merrick cringed as the small Pikachu jumped out of Joy's hands and scrambled outside, lamenting the fact that not everyone is quick to accept the existence of a lively card.  Deciding it best not to chase after it, he continues towards where Wily is, finding him confronting Mewtwo, though this time attempting to feint his inner murderous desires.

He quickly threw the back end of his card against the wall, using its flatness to avoid being spotted as he tries to eavesdrop on the conversation despite not being able to see anything without popping his head out of the card first.

The longer WilyII's inner darkness consumed his conscience, the more it began to bother Merrick.  He knew his white magic could work for so long without him staying clung to the doctor's back, but he had other priorities to focus on than acting as a soul repellent for as long as it takes to figure out a permanent solution to this psychological problem.

His only assumption was that ever since Wily found the tracking device in Mewtwo's tail his anguish and anger had slowly manifested into a psychological monster fueling his desire to exact his revenge on the rest of Team Rocket for harming what he considers his cherished child.  And he couldn't help but think it had something to do with the process that resulted in Mewtwo's existence.

Creating a psychic Pokemon is risky, given what has to be incorporated in order to give it those abilities.  Could there have been a lingering essence that latched onto WilyII during Mewtwo's creation that slowly manifested into a dark desire the more he witnessed bad things happening to his creation?  He could never figure out psychic energies beyond his own Tarot reading abilities, but at the same time he felt he shouldn't prod any further into something that was most likely up to Mewtwo to investigate, and should only focus on keeping WilyII sane for as long as it would take for a solution to be found, or he strays away from the group to handle this problem on his own.

Merrick looks back towards the cheering trio as they continued to converse with Ahrzyal before heading over to the Pokemon Center, deciding to check on Wily before figuring out where Chariot is sleeping, believing that Hierophant and his Pokemon may end up sharing a room for the rest of the day.

Once inside, he noticed Nurse Joy trying to put a Pichu-size Pikachu in the Pokemon Transfer Machine only to be constantly shocked and jerked about by its frantic need to get away from the machine.  Sensing it belonged to WilyII, though terrified by his drastic change, Merrick knew his white magic hasn't done its job and he may need to give the slowly degrading doctor another jolt of sanity.  But he feels his main priority was calming down the frantic Pikachu.

He drifts over to the wiggling Pokemon and pops partway out of the card, almost startling Nurse Joy as he reaches over and runs his currently tiny hand over the frightened Pokemon's head in a vain attempt to get its attention and hopefully calm it down.

(Eh...I kinda had that impression when I first introduce Genbu.  He was basically too big to fit through the door, didn't want to be put inside a Pokeball even if it was to help him get inside, and prompt Hierophant to shrink him to Turtwig size so he can at least join them for dinner without causing property damage.  The same assumption was with Excalibur, more because he was too wide, quadrupedal-wise to maneuver through the seemingly narrow aisles of the Pokemart during Chariot's hunt for a feasible bag to carry any milk and potions in)
