(I think the Pokeballs only work on items and Pokemon.  Even so, I'm still iffy on whether ANY Pokeball would affect Carr, given the incomplete nature of the Transform move he got through Fool.  I want to think that his human genes are still present and prevent the Pokeball from affecting him, but then it would probably mean his psychic mind-trick wouldn't work as efficiently on even a small number of the clones he has gathered)

"If you can help rectify the situation between Route 11 and the city next to it, then perhaps everyone will know who's the more trustworthy and leave you and the clones alone," Merrick said towards Mewtwo, "There's no point in going back to your old ways if you don't at least do something to prove you're not the dangerous Pokemon you came out as."

I'd probably have Tarot Cat be a superhero with five-six cards following it around and the rest acting as a personality change. :P

As for Blazkrieg, Hajime may pop in, but will remain neutral and only help those who either pay him or give him a good reason to aide their cause.  Not sure about the rest since I'm trying to keep character inclusions to a minimum, and Tarot Cat is already pushing it with the amount of cards running loose around it.

Merrick was equally concerned about Mewtwo's drastic change in behavior.  The Pokemon that once admitted that vengeance and anger only makes the mind more savage was beginning to fall back on his own philosophy.  He can only hope the cloned experiment can handle Carr's presence in a less violent manner than he appears to be letting on.

He turns his attention towards Jenny, "If there's no one else coming along, we should think about hurrying towards Route 11 while we're still calm and considerate."

"I know I saw Hierophant working with the clones that haven't been swayed by Carr's flawed imitation of Mewtwo," Merrick said, "I'm sure if we find him first, Mewtwo will be able to tell which of the clones haven't been affected and convince them to help him break the brainwashing spell he cast on the ones that didn't look away fast enough.  Then once we have everything under control, all we need to do is get in front of Carr with me as immunity against any mind-altering psychic spells he might throw at us and pull Fool off of his forehead, reverting him back to his original form and breaking the control he has over the other clones."

"We already figured out it was Carr, but I didn't think he could mimic Transform or even an ability like Illusion." Sakura pondered.

"Hierophant..." N thought "Why does that name sound familiar?"

"No, he couldn't...not completely, anyway," Merrick said, "I've seen Fool attempt the same thing when he encountered a Ditto back when Hierophant last saw him before that incident with Team Rocket.  He was only able to understand enough about the Transform move to take on the structural form of the Pokemon, but not their color.  That's probably why Carr's transformation can only work so much; unless he performs the move 50 or 100 more times without using a different move not associated to whoever he transforms into, he'll only be able to maintain a structured appearance and whatever moves he remembers Mewtwo using, either from watching him pull them off, or by reading his past history during his time spent with Team Rocket."

He quickly notices Quickie and Mewtwo heading for the van and quickly follows suit, but not before noticing someone else scrambling out of the Pokemart, dressed like some countryside farmer and heading off towards the east entrance of Fuchsia City with an oddly familiar Mime Jr. following after him.

Merrick noticed N show up alongside Sakura, remembering when Hierophant happened upon Unova during his exploration of the Pokemon World.  Having been unfamiliar with the culture there, he was easily swayed into Team Plasma's liberation movement, more because it shared his interest in gathering Pokemon through friendship and respect rather than battle and confinement; he even went so far as to convince the inhabitants back home to limit the use of Pokeballs to emergencies or where Pokemon are prohibited from walking side by side with their trainers.  The duffel bag he carries was an experiment Magician cooked up after watching an episode of Thundercats, which not only allowed room for Pokemon to wander around in, but occupy themselves with whatever trinkets or toys they pick up from the Pokemart.

Hearing how the two had been watching the news, and feeling somewhat responsible for what's been going on, he decides to step forward and fill them in on the situation.

"That strange Mewtwo that's been causing problems is named Carr," he said, "According to Hierophant, Tarot Skitty had been wandering around this region as the Fool card with two more on its back.  Sometime later, they were captured by a trio of Team Rocket members who used them to attack Stone Town and take their Pokemon, but where ambushed by Carr, using Tarot Skitty they ignorantly left behind to call the cards back and use them to his own ambitions."

He looks back towards the TV as the sketch once again appears besides the rambling reporter, "If I'm correct, after Carr recovered from a previous beating by Mewtwo, he must have encountered a Pokemon with either a Transformation or Illusion ability and used it to take on Mewtwo's form and abilities, which is why those clones are following him instead of going about their own, carefree lives."

"If you are just tuning in, Route 11 and the trailing path through Vermilion City have just been ambushed by what appears to be the strange Pokemon that had caused many controversies back in Fuchsia City.  But many who have been to Fuchsia are claiming that this version is vastly different in color and appearance."

The reporters back in their station rebroadcast the sketch for what seems to be the fourth time since the news broke airways, "Here again is the sketch given out by many who have seen the Pokemon pass through here.  According to eyewitnesses who have been to Fuchsia during the controversy that almost incriminated the Pokemon's trainer, this version is said to have a green tail and what looks like two types of cards on its body.  The one on its forehead looks like a beady-eyed child and the other appears to be the back of the card positioned, conveniently, on the Pokemon's back.  The Pokemon in question also appears to be accompanied by a small group of Pokemon that are following behind it as we speak."

The pic switches to a Venusaur with odd markings on its body, "The culprit Pokemon is a Venusaur with strange patterns on its body...." the pic then switches to several more pics brought up by the station reporter, "A Pidgeot; a Scyther; a Rhyhorn; a Rapidash; a Dewgong; and a Ninetales.  Each one appears to be trailing after the lead Pokemon like entranced zombies, attacking anyone that got in their way."

She then picks up another paper given to her by an off-camera hand, "We've just gotten a report that these Pokemon have caused minor structural damage to a Pokemon Center near the entrance to Route 6, but authorities have already blocked off the area with riot shields and Pokemon powerful enough to deal with the entrance Pokemon behind the questionable culprit leading them.  We will continue to bring more breaking news as it happens...."

"I barely know much about him since Hierophant pulled me out," Merrick began, "But from what he said, Carr had managed to take possession of Tarot Skitty up until we showed up here, and used it to steal three of the cards that were in the Team Rocket trio in the past.  And from the looks of the picture they've been showing on the news, I have a feeling he's been using the ability-copying capabilities of the Fool card to snag a few more moves from wild Pokemon for reasons I'm sure has to do with both Mewtwo and Team Rocket as a whole."

Merrick looks towards the backpack before hopping Tarot Skitty into it, dislodging from its back once secured within the knickknacks that were taking up most of the interior.

"There," he sighs, "Now it won't be able to drift off anywhere until we get to where Carr has taken the cards and the clones he most likely put under his control."

"Will do!" Kojiro chirps as he rushes out to do as told, almost tripping over Tarot Skitty along the way, though his excitement was too brimming to even notice.

His first objective was to get a new disguise.  Since he was dealing with an older group of trainers, it would have been completely pointless to pass himself off as a trucker when he's still dressed like the natives in this city.  The best place for that would be the Pokemart, since they also have a costume section he could browse around for the appropriate outfits.

"I'm sure you're already aware of the news reports by now," Kojiro begins, hesitantly, "Is there anything you'd like me or Jessie to do if and when she gets back?  Or do you want us to continue monitoring and waiting for the right moment to snatch his slave under Team Rocket's confinement?"

Tarot Skitty heads back to Chariot's room, Merrick wanting to make sure nothing else was left behind that could help keep it safe from anymore grabby hands.  Having found nothing, he starts to contemplate what to do at this point.

He heard the news report of the strange, green-tailed Mewtwo with two cards on its body and believes the best course of action is to go there and get them back before Carr does anymore unnecessary damage and gets the original Mewtwo into further trouble with society.  But getting there was the problem.

He could easily insert himself into Tarot Skitty and teleport there, but without an ample supply of milk, and the possibility of tussling with the cards it would call back, he may not last long before Tarot Skitty, and himself, winds up back under Carr's ownership to do as he damn near pleases.

The only other option was to travel with Quickie and let Mewtwo wear his doppelganger down long enough for Tarot Skitty to call back the cards and render him helpless.  As long as it maintains its Blue Magic abilities left behind by the Fool card, he should be able to hold his own just giving it directions on where to dodge and how to fight back.

With this in mind, he heads out of the room and begins to wander off in search of Quickie or anyone else that would be going with her merely for the sake of safety if they had come into visual contact with the one-of-a-kind Pokemon and trust its docile behavior.

Kojiro groans as he lifts his head from his knocked down position only to notice a replay of the sketch and progressing news on the incident between Route 11 and Vermilion City.  He was about to assume Mewtwo had left only to see the targeted Pokemon walk out of the room with his "slave" following after him.

It didn't make any sense that there would be two Mewtwo's since the project went up in smoke according to what was given to him to fall back on.  Staring at the posted picture further, he noticed two cards on the Mewtwo sketch's body, one on the forehead and another on his back, almost like where Carr had stuck those magical tarot cards during their last encounter.

His main priority was to keep watch of this Mewtwo, but the other one raised more than enough confusion and need to warrant another call to Domino to report what he had seen so far and what they should be doing about the incident.  Kojiro quickly springs to his feet and charges off back to his room to fix the frequency caused by the thunderbolt earlier and reestablish connection with Domino.

Hierophant watched as the clone Pokemon unaffected by the shiny Mewtwo's psychic powers continue to help put out the fires and remove the structures pinning other people and Pokemon down, many of them broken in more than just skin.

He could easily rectify the injuries with his Kindness Rain spell, but with other citizens and bypassing trainers rushing in to help with the recovery, he felt he would only hinder the situation my confusing them with the prospect of a storm conjured up by the supposed "one-of-a-kind" Pokemon marching through the city.

Pika2, meanwhile manages to leap over the barrage of Vine Whips and lands in front of the Shiny Mewtwo, wasting no time firing off a Thunderbolt to try and slow him down.  But no sooner had the crooked projectile came within inches of his being, a barrier appears around him, deflecting it into nearby trees and grassy plains, creating more fire and scaring away the wild Pokemon lurking within.

Before it realized how ineffective its attacks were to the mighty copy of its original creator, the Shiny Mewtwo reaches his three stubby fingered hands towards it while his eyes glowed, causing its own beady, black eyes to flash and drain away the sparkle that represents its individuality.

How long has it been since you last saw me.... the voice echoed in Pika2's mind, Surely you, of all Pokemon, should remember me....

A sudden streak of pain racks across the Shiny Mewtwo's back as Meowth manages to get past the barrage of possessed Pokemon and lands a Fury Swipe across him, once again leaving no lasting marks on the card plastered along his spine.  The startled reaction breaks his psychic connection with Pika2, causing him to shake his head and flee towards the entrance to Route 6 to recover from its near mind-wiping ordeal.

"Oh no you don't!" he exclaims, arching his other claw-protruding paw back for another swipe, "You ain't trickin' anymore of his clones onto your side!"

The Shiny Mewtwo whips his head around and flashes his eyes again, causing Meowth to glow and fly back towards the oncoming Excalibur, causing the glow to spread like a disease and send them flying into the roof of the nearby Pokemon Center.

Hierophant and the unaffected clone Pokemon stare in shock as the roof caved in, quickly making their way towards it to check on the state of it and the unwitting culprits that landed on top of it.

Well, if it's any consolation, I might make Justice the most used secondary card in the deck, or just use the original version since her card counterpart is more cold and strictly justified than she should have been (for the moment anyway :P).

Since N is being introduced, I may as well mention that Hierophant was, at one point, a respectful member of Team Plasma.  Though he had been aware of Ghestsis' dark purpose almost immediately after joining, he was more interested in the prospect of gathering Pokemon by means other than battling and allowing them to travel side by side to the point that he convinced other members of Magical Land to only use Pokeballs in emergencies or where walking Pokemon are restricted.  His very awareness of Team Plasma's darker purpose, and lacking any reason to do something about it, may end up coming back to bite him at some point in the RP either when he returns to Unova, or someone else from the region recognizes him.

I originally controlled only Blazkrieg, which is usually just four members of the Ouendan, two of which are ZX versions, the two series of Robot Masters, though they're only mentioned and rarely show up for more than one plot and, very rarely, Clef and Tango.  But after Tarot Cat, I may have gone overboard despite knowing where the cards in its deck are (figuring out how to have them interact with other characters was another matter).

If I'm going to have Tarot Cat in future RPs or situations, I'll try and keep it down to just five cards (Fool already being inserted and the other four being the Major Arcana representation of the four courts in Tarot cards: Hierophant = Pages, Chariot = Knight, Empress = Queen, and Emperor = King), and the other cards either being momentary cameos or replacing one of the main five for the duration of whatever arc or plot they get involved in.  Or, if I decide to just use the Magical Drop characters that inspired Tarot Cat's creations, the cards they might use will only be mentioned but seldom do anything beyond sharing their abilities with the characters who decide to equip them.

The same with Blazkrieg if they show up with Tarot Cat, though it would mostly be Hajime since he was the one who created it and its cards.

It wasn't long before news reports released a sketch of the Mewtwo running rampant between Route 11 and Vermilion City.

It indeed looked like Mewtwo, but some claimed that it had what appeared to be two tarot-shaped cards on its body; one on the forehead with the picture of a beady-eyed boy looking scared and helpless, and another on its back, though it looks to be the back of the card.  Any other information was considered unimportant as very few have seen or encountered Mewtwo enough to disassociate him from the green-tailed version that was plowing through their city in the direction of the next route.

But then something strange happened as the Shiny Mewtwo and his clones rampaged onward.  Four of the clones were trying to help the people and Pokemon trapped under the rubble and fire that were caused by the impostor's lackadaisical march through the city.  Blastoisetwo was putting out the fire around them while Hitmonlee2 and Charizard2 were lifting girders and other debris caused by the destruction, and Vulpix and Hitmonlee were pulling people and Pokemon out of the lifted rubble.

Among the destruction and rescuing of the citizens and their Pokemon was Hierophant and Meowth2, the human trying to bandage up the victims with whatever he pulled out of his duffel bag while Meowth2 tries to catch up with Excalibur, Danny, and Pika2, who were trying to get in front of the rampage only to be startled back by more fallen debris and the seemingly possessed Venusaur2 slapping at them with its barrage of Vine Whips.

By late morning, the group eventually finds themselves at Route 11.  They didn't seem to have gotten anywhere since leaving Fuchsia City due to news reporters and several stories concerning Mewtwo almost stopping them in their tracks.  By the time they got to the other side of the previous route, it was almost the middle of the night, forcing them to make camp near the corner entrance to Route 11.

Hierophant had just emerged from the makeshift tent he pulled from his magical duffel bag when he notice a commotion further along the route.

Excalibur seems to have encountered some wild Pokemon, barking at them while batting his paws to keep them back.  The commotion also woke Meowth, who spent the majority of the trip in the Chingling pouch around the Shiny Arcanine's neck.

"Ugh....  What time is it...?" he grumbles as he pops his head out of the pouch only to just as quickly duck an oncoming claw from what appeared to be a savage Charizard.  Hierophant watched from a distance before noticing some other Pokemon not as active and aggressive as the Flame Pokemon for reasons only he caught on due to being further from the onslaught.

"Excalibur, wait!" Hierophant calls out as he makes a run for the group.  The Charizard sees him coming and spews a Flamethrower only for the Shiny Arcanine to get in front of him and block most of the burning wind.

Hierophant squints one eye shut as some of the embers barely missed touching his priest outfit before carefully and cautiously making his way around the two and towards the other Pokemon, finding a Blastoise, Vulpix, Hitmonlee, and Golduck all but passed out behind the raging Charizard, covered in scratches and bruises that obviously weren't caused by any elemental or fighting-type Pokemon.  Two more Pokemon attempted to tend to the fallen group, less scratched up, but equally down-winded and ignorant to the tussle between the two fire Pokemon.  An odd-looking Pikachu with different patterns on its ears, and a seemingly normal-looking Meowth had been trying to tend to the Pokemon's injures, though obviously lacking the means to do more than relieve their pain.

Meowth pops his head out of the Chingling pouch again once the Charizard had run out of breath, looking between it and the other Pokemon to notice it and the weakened Blastoise had odd patterns on their body that separated them from what their original counterparts appeared as.  It only took one glance to realize what was going on.

"Hey!  Those are the clones that were with Mewtwo!" he exclaims as he jumps out of the pouch and runs towards his and Pikachu's clone, "What's going on here!?  How'd you all find each other, and why're you covered in bruises and scratches!?"

While most of the Pokemon shirked at Meowth's presence, Pika2 and Meowth2 quickly recognized him and ran over to ramble on about what they had gone through up to this point.

"Say what!?  Some Pokemon claiming to be Mewtwo has been rallying all the clones he's created and tricking them into aiding his crusade to take over Team Rocket!?"

"What did this Pokemon look like?" Hierophant asked.  Pika2 looked towards him while continuing to squeak its name and wave its arms around sporadically, "Looks exactly like Mewtwo, but with a green tail?"

"A shiny version of Mewtwo, then?" Meowth ponders, "Who else could have created a Mewtwo besides Team Rocket?"

"Are you sure Team Rocket didn't create another one with the resources left over from when they created Mewtwo?"

"Clearly not," Meowth mutters in more contemplation, "Otherwise they wouldn't be going to this much trouble to get the original back."

"I can think of only one possibility," Danny suddenly speaks up as he leaps off Excalibur's back and confronts the two, "Carr must have regained consciousness and is going around grabbing copies of Pokemon abilities to beef up his onslaught against your boss."

Meowth hums as he scratches his chin, "That's our only logical explanation, but that doesn't explain the green tail instead of the purple one that best defines Mewtwo, or how the other clones could have fallen for such an obviously fake presence so easily."

Meowth2 meows several times, prompting Pika2 to nod and continue while gesturing some more.

"First he tried to insist he changed his appearance to differentiate himself from media depictions, then when no one bought it, he used Mewtwo's powerful psychic abilities to chip away at their memories until they recognized him and accepted his ambition!?" Meowth almost exclaims.

Danny almost hurls an frustrated groan, "How can someone be so smart and desperate at the same time!?"

"Let's worry about that later," Hierophant said while turning his attention back to the cloned Pokemon, "Do you remember where that Mewtwo lookalike and the clones that were caught in his psychic powers disappeared to?"

Pika2 attempts to answer only to be interrupted by an explosion near the other end of the route.  Turning around, they see the green-tailed Mewtwo knock away two officers that appeared to be blocking his path into Vermilion City, the remaining clones he manipulated standing close behind him.  Without any further regards to his actions, he starts to march down the laid out path of the city, using the same psychic powers to knock away any pedestrian and Pokemon that got in its way.

"This is bad...!  Real bad...!" Meowth mutters hysterically, "If Carr keeps this up, Fuchsia ain't gonna be the only city that will be after Mewtwo's head!"

Pika2 suddenly bounds around the injured clone Pokemon and charges after the green-tailed Mewtwo, screaming at the clones following after him to stop.

"Wait!" Meowth calls out as he runs after Pika2, "Your friends are still injured and need help!"

"Dammit!" Danny growls as he flies back to Excalibur and buries himself in his white chest, "Let's go after them before they cause any further confusion and mayhem!"

Excalibur howls before charging off after the two fleeing Pokemon, leaving Hierophant and Meowth2 to deal with the injured Pokemon.

Meowth2 looks towards Hierophant, mewing worriedly as to how they were going to get his injured brethren back on their feet.  The white and green-dressed priest sighed while looking at his staff, seeing a Shield Rune appear spinning in the center.  Compressing his lips in understanding, he stands up and points his staff into the air towards the injured clones.

"Great Blessing!"

A ray of light shines over them as balls of light rained down, each one touching and clearing away the scratches and bruises they had suffered from the green-tailed Mewtwo's attacks while refreshing their energy.  As the clones shook the daze from their heads and looked down at themselves in amazement, Hierophant moves towards the other side of their presence.

"if you can move, let's get going," he said, "You don't want your friend and creator getting blamed for anymore damage he didn't cause."

The clones look towards Hierophant, then Meowth2, who nods in agreement, before getting up and following them towards the city.

Kojiro snaps his eyes open after unknowingly spending the whole night unconscious near the window to Quickie's room.  He suddenly springs up, snapping his head around.

"Ah!  What time is it!?  How long was I out!?"

He just as quickly threw his hands over his mouth, shutting himself up as he ducks towards the side window, digging around for his smartphone.

"Phone...phone...." he mutters before grabbing his head and quietly shrilling in shock and horror, "Noooooooooooooooooooo....  All my evidence is on there...."

He quickly remembers Mime Jr. was the only Pokemon running loose and quickly begins running around the Center in search of his wayward companion.  In his panic, he once again forgets Nurse Joy's warning and charges through the front door, barely missing another cave-in from what remained of the walls surrounding it, but only gets so far into the lobby when he accidentally trips over Tarot Skitty and falls flat onto his face.

Merrick pops his head out of his card, still glued face-up on Tarot Skitty's back upon seeing Kojiro fall over from the unintentional trip, sweatdropping nervously as the ever grinning Kitty Pokemon continues wandering aimlessly towards the cafeteria, having nothing better to do to pass the time.

Now that I think about it, Animal Crossing doesn't have a whole lot of major, central plots, so the RPM version could end up like Busy World and its bastard offsprings if we don't at least work out what is and isn't allowed in the parodied town.

Basing an RP off a game or show isn't too bad if you just want to target fans of said game or show, but it doesn't hurt to have an RP that is, more or less, based on the RPM world or someplace completely original.

Merrick watches WilyII clutching his chest as he was heading out of the room; an ominous sign that Mewtwo's Disable attack was slowly beginning to wear off.  There was little he could do at the moment, knowing that if he left Tarot Skitty, it would start drifting about, inadvertently winding up back in Team Rocket's hands if those undercover agents he kept sensing ever found the opportunity to snatch it and use it to reclaim the other cards that were in Carr's possession.

For now, he decides to take Tarot Skitty towards one of the top bunks on the other end of the room and let it rest a while, sinking back into the card as he lets his own systems rest from the ordeal.
