Roleplay / Re: RPM POKEMON ADVENTURE THING

The ride to the police station was uneventful punctuated only by radio communication.  Quickie knew that Mewtwo had arrived ahead of her and was already locked up in holding, whereas she was to be taken to interrogation.  Quickie shrugged, thankful that she wasn't cuffed.

Belker stopped the car and got out, opening the back door and letting Quickie out.  "Alright, let's go."

Quickie looked from Belker, to James, then back to Belker and finally followed him inside. "How soon can I see Mewtwo?"

"Not until we have someone take a look at it," Belker shook his head. "It has a lot of explaining to do, and we don't want you influencing its answers."  He led Quickie down a hall and into a room.  "Better get comfortable, you're going to be here a while."

Quickie nodded and went into the room and sat.  "I don't suppose I could trouble you for a drink of water?"

"Naw, we'll get you a drink," Belker looked to James. "Get her a drink and babysit her for a while."

James salutes, keeping his other arm far behind his back to hide the card still plastered against his spine, "Roger that!"

He then turns and marches away from the group.

There's no way you're going to be able to keep fooling these cops for long, Danny seethed, You may have won your way into the squad.  But it's going to take more than that to keep up your sneaky little farce!

"You think so...?" James whispers low enough for only Danny to hear, "I'll have you know that Jessie and I were once imprisoned here during one of our many thieving escapades.  We've dug our way around here so many times, we've practically become familiar with the whereabouts of everything that keeps these prisoners alive and sane...."

As if to add more proof to his accusation, he effortlessly locates the prison cafeteria and marches over to the counter, "Two glasses of water.  A thirsty guard is a dopey observer."

The person behind the counter, looking eerily like a human Granbull, hauls out a tray with two clear glasses of water.  James gingerly takes the tray in one hand and marches back towards the prison where Quickie stood, keeping himself facing squarely towards her while handing her one of the glasses.

"For you, madam," he said happily.

Back on the Superia. Chariot and Synthis poke their heads into the bridge, seeing Jessie and her Pokemon piled on top of each other, almost buried under a pile of rocks with tears streaming down their faces and mouths billowing piles of foam.  The two look to each other nervously before deciding to head into the room and observing the equipment for some way of turning it on.

"While we're waiting, we should figure out how this thing works in case we need a quick transportation out of here," he grumbles as he saunters around the ship, staring at all of the controls he clearly has no clue how they work.

Seeing the situation resolved, Hierophant decides it was now time to invite everyone in.

"Take the ship back into the air and make sure its hovering over the heroes so they'll know where we are," he said, "I'll make the announcement and see who wants to be airlifted to a less hostile area of the city."

Atsushi and Ittetsu nod as they begin typing on the console, causing the giant dragon ship to take off into the air and fold its wings back into their usual straightness.  Hierophant presses some buttons on his command chair, getting a close view of teach of the heroes while waiting to see which of them will notice its near inescapable presence.

Hierophant nods as he continues to make his way towards the Pokemon Center.

Once there, he's immediately confronted by Nurse Joy.

"That Shiny Arcanine is yours, isn't it?" she asked while handing a fully healed Genbu, still miniaturized back to the tarot-personified adolescent.

"For now...." Hierophant mutters while scratching the back of his head and placing Gebu on the ground beside him.

"Then perhaps you can help calm it down.  Ever since this fiasco ended, its been going crazy trying to break away from our Chanseys and upsetting the other Pokemon administered here.  And since you're the only one who were with those clones that didn't have those strange, jade-glowing eyes, you can also help deal with their apprehension.  From what we're hearing, the markings on some of them are unusual and many of the authorities are fixing to have them transferred to a highly trained institute for study."

Hierophant winces as he raises his hands in concern, "That's not such a good idea.  Mewtwo is mildly ticked that they were even brought here to begin with.  If you do anything that might involve extensive research, he might not cooperate so well."

Nurse Joy just stares at him before sighing in reluctance, "I'll try to strike up a conversation with Officer Jenny and any other officials working this case, but I can't promise they won't be released without at least checking to make sure they're fit to be released back into the wild.  There's a plethora of rumors going about that these odd Pokemon may be diseased and if the situation calls for it, we may need to do some overnight research to debunk those rumors and ensure that they won't cause any more harm to both society and the ecosystem."

Hierophant compressed his lips again, but knows that it was necessary to make sure they aren't hunted down and captured for reasons other than their unique patterns.  Sighing, he makes his way to where Excalibur is, having since been strapped to the recovery table by belts as he whines irritably at his failed predicament.  He tightens the compression of his lips before moving close and running his hand along the top, creamy fur of his mane.

"That officer has Danny, I take it?" he asked, getting a remorse nod from the Shiny Arcanine, "Don't worry.  Once I get you back on your feet, we'll catch up with Sakura and N and help them get to that fake officer and stop him from using Danny to cause any unnecessary harm to Quickie and Mewtwo."

The Chanseys tending to Excalibur backed away some as Hierophant points the staff towards Excalibur's head, "Cura."

The orb glows a bright white as sparkles surround Excalibur, relieving the gashes and splinters that formed from his encounter with the Pokemon Center's roof.  This gained a delightful clap from the Chanseys as two of them unstrapped the Shiny Arcanine and allowed him to jump off the table.

Meowth popped his head out of the Chingling pouch, his head covered in bandages, "You're not going after James, are ya!?  You know what'll happen if he sees me!"

"If you want, you can stay here and keep an eye on your cloned friends," Hierophant said, "Since you're more familiar with them, you can talk to Nurse Joy and give her anything she needs to prove they aren't the troublemakers Carr turned them into."

"Yeah....  I suppose I can do that, and hopefully convince them to help rescue Mewtwo should James or any other undercover Team Rocket agent succeed in capturing him and his friends."

Hierophant nods as the group head back to Nurse Joy.

"Are you sure you should be taking that Arcanine out so soon?" she asked, "It was pretty banged up when we dug it out of the caved roof.  You might want to leave it here overnight."

"It's okay; I was able to fix the wounds with some special medicine," Hierophant said, "I seriously need to get going, and I don't want Excalibur to get upset about the fate of his friend."

Nurse Joy seemed unsure, but knows that most Pokemon can't sit still when their trainers or friends are most likely in danger.

"Well...I suppose I can trust you, just make sure you allow him to rest when you think he's about to overtax himself."

Hierophant nods as he hands Meowth to Nurse Joy, "This Pokemon wants to stay here and help clear the problems those clones have been causing.  He's more familiar with their behavior and feelings and might be able to help keep them calm during examination."

Nurse Joy observes Meowth before nodding and taking him into her arms, causing him to blush slightly and sigh in content over the softness of her skin, "Alright then.  He probably needs to stay here a while longer anyway since he needs time to rest and recover from the ordeal."

Hierophant nods before looking towards Genbu and Excalibur, "Let's get going.  We should be able to catch up with Sakura and N if we leave fast enough."

The two barked their respected Pokemon names before heading back outside, looking around to make sure no one else was noticing before Hierophant points his staff towards Excalibur.

"Float!"

The orb glows as a beam shoots out towards Excalibur, causing a pair of Moltres-like wings to sprout from his sides.  Hierophant picks up Genbu and hops onto his back.

"Hope your flying skills are better then Genbu," he said before looking towards the shrunken Torterra, "No offense."

Genbu shakes his head, "Torterra."

Hierophant looks towards back towards the group, finding they haven't left yet, "Let's go meet back up with them; let them know you're okay and capable of flying without help."

Excalibur nods as he makes his way back towards the group, prompting Hierophant to lean forward and rest his hands on the Shiny Arcanine's shoulder blades to keep himself and Genbu from falling off from the bouncing sensation of his gait.

"Not yet," Hierophant said, "I have to get Excalibur and Genbu.  Their still in the Pokemon Center, getting treated.  I'll catch up if Nurse Joy insists he needs to stay for any further treatment."

He then runs for the Pokemon Center to console with Nurse Joy.

"I hate to say this, but I think that police officer might be one of the trio in disguise," Hierophant sighs, "He was quick to get me arrested for simply asking for the card back, and so far, the trio were the only ones who knew how they worked before Carr showed up and tried to use them to his own greed.  Which means not only are the cards in danger, so's Quickie and Mewtwo."

Yamask sees the car James is in drive off and quickly throws the agonized Skarmory towards Xuangzang, getting it caught in the thunderbolt along the way.  It then grabs its cheek and stretches it out, spewing a raspberry noise before zipping off after the car.

Tarot Skitty yelps as it jumps into the air and flies after Yamask, flailing its arms up and down as it tries to grab it only to miss by inches while inadvertently trailing after the car it was following.

Hierophant, unfortunately, was still struggling to get back up, the energy he drained from Carr quickly sapped from his fight with the police and inadvertent collision with Tarot Skitty.

"That was fun..." he groans as he finally manages to stagger to his feet and raises his staff over his head, "Drop of Kindness."

The orb emits a watery glow as a drop of water falls onto him and washes him in an array of sparkles, relieving the amount of pain that was riddling his body.

Yeah, I was hoping to get in more psychic spoon action.  Perhaps more fisticuffs, too.

I was honestly surprised too, and it was so disorganized too. :|

It felt rushed... But I guess it still fills in the mood for Mewtwo's emotional development.

I guess it was my fault....  I've been putting one too many characters on the same objective of getting hold of both Mewtwo, Quickie and the cards.  And it probably didn't help that I was a bit bothered by the heat and the amount of other people posting before I have a chance to do something about Carr's retaliation (Not that I don't want to blame anyone for it; it shouldn't completely fall on my characters to clean up this problem  -u-')

"Hierophant!" Sakura cried before helping him up.

Xuangzang looks towards the Yanmask and fires a Thunder Wave at it.

Yamask attempts to out maneuver the oncoming Thunder Wave when he saw Skarmory flying at him from ahead, thoroughly infuriated by the earlier intrusion between Danny and the Hanged Man card.

Completely out of options, it dropped the card onto the mask and used its curled hands to freeze Skarmory in place and swivel it around to shield against the oncoming Thunder Wave.  As the Armor Bird Pokemon was being electrocuted, Yamask heaves his arms forward, sending it flying toward Xuangzang while the sparks were still crawling.

While this was going on, James looks towards the driver, readjusting the shades so as not to blow his cover while this close to Quickie, "Hurry up and drive!  You don't want this fight to damage anything important, do you!?"

With the situation under control, the Fool card leaped out of the deck and flies into Tarot Skitty's mouth, taking on its full form as he scrambles out of the building upon seeing the Hanged Man's card drifting through the area.

But no sooner had he gotten his hands on the card, Yamask suddenly appears and spews a cloud of Haze at him, obscuring his vision and creating even more distance between him and the card he had been trying to reclaim.  Tarot Skitty tries to bat off the smoke before it suddenly glowed and sucked into the Robot Master's being, giving him the ability.  By then, however, Yamask had already gotten his hands on the card and was beating a hasty retreat back towards the car James, dressed as the officer that almost got Hierophant arrested, was hiding in.

Sakura sighed in exasperation and hugged Hierophant.

"Are you okay?" She asked worriedly.

Xuangzang eyed the car Quickie was in suspiciously.

N looked at the officers with worry.

"These people are blinded from the Truth so easily." He thought "This isn't good."

Hierophant sighed a bit before looking to the car he saw the officer get into, "I'm fine, but the card...."

He trails off upon seeing Yamask flinch at his presence and turns around to flee, the Hanged Man card still in its curled mitts.

"Hey!  Wait!" he shouts as he runs off after Yamask to try and get the card back only to suddenly trip over Tarot Skitty who was also running after the Spirit Pokemon, both piling on the floor as it retreats back towards the now abandoned truck to wait until things to calm down.

"That's not what our officer said just now!" one of the policemen said.

"According to him, this kid was going to use the same spell he used on the shapeshifting culprit!" another proclaimed, "And seeing the effects of that spell he cast, we're not taking any chances restraining him before questioning his motives!"

"You don't understand!" Hierophant protest, "The officer that called for you has a card on his back that doesn't belong to him!  I was just going to ask him to return it!"

He looks back towards where he saw the officer only to see him get into the passenger seat of the car Quickie was in.  Gritting his teeth, he tries to get up only to be forced back onto his knees by the surrounding officials.

"Let me go!  Please!  He has one of the cards that was used in this fiasco!" he pleads hysterically.

"I see..." N sighed "I did remember you were a bit more pacifistic than the other members, you were also really quiet.  I guess that's why you stood out to me more than other members besides the Sages, the Shadow Triade, my sisters, and....father."

Hierophant compresses his lips some, having remembered sensing a darker intention from their leader, and soon overhearing how he was using the liberation concept to make himself the sole owner of Pokemon everywhere.  He almost regretted not getting involved with taking the leader down, having spent most of the fight back at home, sharing his experiences with his friends and convincing them to lessen their reliance on Pokeballs to emergencies and where walking Pokemon were restricted.

He wanted to say something, but senses some commotion coming from the Pokemon Center.  Compressing his lips in concern, he looks towards N.

"I should go check up on my friend's Arcanine.  He hasn't had the best recovery since being thrown through the roof of the Pokemon Center, and I'm worried his concern over the whereabouts of Danny might make him hurt himself trying to get free."

He then makes his way out of the building only to suddenly notice one of the officers acting somewhat odd and eager from the rest.  Though the neck-long hair didn't grab his attention (knowing that any person would dye their hair regardless of how old they are), the oddly familiar card on his back did.

Realizing that Excalibur may be fuming over the fact that one of the officer's has Danny stuck to his back, he decides to go over and ask him for it back, not getting a good enough reading through his Tarot energy to realize he wasn't part of the force.

"Excuse me," he began, grabbing the blue haired officer's attention as he snaps his head over to him, "I'm not sure you're aware, but there's a card sticking out of your back.  If you could just hand it back to me, I'll-"

The officer suddenly panics and points to Hierophant, "Officers!  Arrest that kid!  He's trying to use his witchcraft to free the culprit!"

Hierophant flinches before nearby officers reacted and pounced on him, forcing him to his knees as he struggles to get free, "W-wait a minute!  I didn't do anything!"

As the scuffle was going on, the officer slowly and silently backs towards the car they re-confined Quickie to, keeping his hands pressed tightly behind his back, concealing the card plastered against it.

As the negotiations were going on between Quickie, Mewtwo, and the officers, James snuck his way into the unit, dressed as one of the officers with shades to hide his face.

Though Danny is still rebooting, James decided to slap him onto his back, face-down, so he doesn't try shouting and blowing his cover.

It's not going to work!  They'll know you're not part of the unit! Danny shouts within James' conscience.

"Who said I was going to announce myself to the rest of the officers...?" James mutters low enough for only he and Danny to hear, "I'm only going to climb into the car they're going to use to take Mewtwo's 'slave' away and wait until they bring her back, then hit the gas and drive off when they least expect it...."

Back at the Pokemon Center, Excalibur was having a conniption fit, having sniffed out Danny's whereabouts and struggling to get out of the Chansey's restraints to try and get him back.

"Please, calm down!  The fighting is over!" Nurse Joy calls out, "You've been hurt badly, you need rest!"

Meowth was on another table, being tended to as he had been trampled by the conflict between the clones.  He eyes outside, recognizing James trying to blend in with the officials, but doesn't do anything to draw attention to himself, still not wanting to be spotted and hauled back into Team Rocket's outrageous scheme for getting Mewtwo back under their control.

"...Were you a member of Team Plasma?" N pressed further.

"For a while," Hierophant said, "It was more of an inspired contribution; though I wasn't happy with their concept of liberating Pokemon, I did find interest in recruiting them by means other than battle, choosing only to fight if they challenge first."

Hanged Man merely shrugged as Darunia's shaking flings him into the air, sending him drifting aimlessly away from where the fight was taking place.

Yamask saw this and quickly flies towards the drifting card, reaching out to try and grab it.

Back inside the building, Hieropant looks towards N, recognizing him from Team Plasma back when they were focusing on the goal of Pokemon liberation.

"In a sense," he said while heading over to the still drifting Tarot Skitty and catching it before it wandered aimlessly out the nearby window.

N looks toward Carr with a deadly glare.

"You think that you can gain power that doesn't belong to you with magic powers and clones!?" He roared "That is an ugly despicable formula that is doomed to fail!"

As he said this the officers quickly tried hand cuffed Carr and confiscated everything he had with much difficulty.

Carr snarls as he continues to fight against the officer's attempts to grab the Fool card from his hand, "Better than what that fool, Giovanni was scheming using powerful, legendary Pokemon to find his deadbeat son and hand leadership of the organization to him!"

Hierophant compresses his lips in concern and frustration as he walks over to Carr and points his staff at the hand holding the currently rebooting Fool card.

"Miracle Beam!"

The orb flashes as the glow shocks Carr, forcing him to drop it and give the officer's enough distraction to haul him kicking out of the building.  Sighing somewhat in relief, he bends down and picks up the crumbled card, straightening it to its usual flatness before going over to pick up Merrick and check on both their conditions.

Due to the aftermath of equipping both opposing cards on the same body, they had reverted to a sepia-tone, the least energy-consuming means of keeping them online while their Tarot System reboots from the conflicting energy.

(What about the handcuffs?)

(The officers could fight to get the handcuffs on as he struggles to get a hold of the Fool Card.  8D)

From the truck, James noticed the officers taking Quickie away.  It was his mission to get her into Team Rocket's possession so Mewtwo will become powerless and forced to return to their confinements, and he wasn't about to sit by and let the officers interrogate and possibly let her go with a slap on the wrist.

He quickly calls his Pokemon back into their balls, except for Yamask who was still chasing the Pancham around and sneaks off towards a nearby Pokemart to change his disguise, taking the still rebooting Danny with him.

Darunia saw the Shadow Ball heading right for it and panicked, running away from his goal to dodge the attack. The card was still stuck to his hand, something he didn't realize in his fright.

As the chase was continuing, Hanged Man's picture flashes before reverting back to its normal colors.  Yamask, having seen how the Hanged Man card behaves, continues to lob Shadow Balls at it in an attempt to corral it back towards James' truck.

Hierophant eventually shows up, using the front door of the building they crashed through.  He sees the clones that were once affected by Carr's possession quickly regain their temper upon seeing the other clones standing around Mewtwo and, remember his wisdom from earlier, began clambering around him in an attempt to calm him down.

Strained a bit by his own pain, he could only think about getting to Tarot Skitty and using it to recall the cards that had been scattered since the fiasco.  Carr, disoriented and enraged by the sudden betrayal of the Pokemon he once controlled, spots Hierophant and quickly grabs Mewtwo's spoon and flies towards him.

"YOU'RE MINE!!!" he shouts.  Hierophant snaps his head around in time to see the oncoming spoon and, acting on instinct and desperation, points his staff towards him.

"DRAIN!!!"

The orb flashes black and shoots a blast of black sparks towards him, binding him with weakening pain before accumulating into a bright ball of light flying into the caster's body, sealing up the wound on his shoulder while causing the target to fall flat onto his face in a weakened heap, the Wheel of Fortune card still on his back.

Hierophant grit his teeth upon realizing what he had done and quickly runs to Quickie's backpack, digging through it until he pulls Tarot Skitty out and holds it into the are.

Its slanted eyes emitted a glowing, scan line before letting out a yowl, causing both the Fool card, Merrick, and the Wheel of Fortune card to begin flying back towards it.

"No...." Carr seethed before lashing out and grabbing the Fool card, "I won't lose my only means of taking control of Team Rocket!"

With the opposing energy of Merrick's card working against the Fool Card, it took no less than a swipe of Mewtwo's paws to send it flying towards a nearby wall.

"NO!!!" Carr screamed as his Mewtwo form flashes and deteriorates back to his original, munchkin form.  Without the psychic energy and strength of the form, Mewtwo's body was more than a hindrance to his chances of escaping in one piece.

Merrick struggles to get up, but much like Danny's conflict with the Hanged Man card, his card had fallen into its rebooting state, leaving him trapped inside the sepia-toned picture with barely enough energy to stay awake and focused on Mewtwo's onslaught.

Outside, the clones possessed by Carr's earlier manipulation flashed a jade green glow before fading, causing them to snap back to their senses and stop fighting the unaffected clones.  Remembering what happened before being entranced, they started marching about, looking for Carr with vengeance clouding their awareness.

Hierophant staggers to his feet, grabbing the bite marks on his shoulder, which have now discolored the area around it in crimson red blood, as he struggles to make his way towards the source of the Seven of Wands, knowing that Mewtwo was not going to stop at Carr reverting back to his original form.

Taylor caught sight of something flying out the window of the truck, no longer obscured by the haze as Kovu and Bobert had stopped attacking. "Darunia! Use Parting Shot to quickly grab that object!" she said. The Pancham nodded and leapt forward with a punch, grabbing the object before returning quickly.

Upon looking at the sepia-toned picture, Hanged Man just stares back while chewing on his twig before waving towards him, "Yo...."

James grits his teeth as he points towards the Pancham, "Get that card back before he fully reboots and gives that Pokemon gravity powers!"

Yamask flies over to Pancham and fires off a Shadow ball at it.

Carr continues to effortlessly rebound the oncoming spoon, though Mewtwo's perseverance was giving him little time to retaliate or regain his bearings.

Merrick watched from Quickie's backpack, sensing the Seven of Wands acting as his weapon to push back his near flustered counterpart.  At the rate this was going, Mewtwo was going to lose all sense of morality and provoke the officials to take him down with not so repairable results, forcing her to continue looking for the right opportunity to release Tarot Skitty, or worse, get caught in the crossfire and lose possession of the expressionless robot to whoever schemes to use it to their own desires.

He jumps off her backpack and flies towards the ensuing conflict, landing on Carr's tail with enough force to grab his attention.

"What the-!?"

Before he could finish, his entire body surged with yellow sparks as the opposing energy of Merrick and the Fool card conflicted with each other.

"What's...happening...to me...!?" he yells as his form begins to flux between Mewtwo and his original, human structure.

If two opposing cards are equipped onto the same body, their energy will conflict, forcing each other apart like magnets! Merrick spoke into Carr's mind as he had planted himself face-down on his tail, I'm sorry...this is the only way to save you and Mewtwo from hurting yourselves and everyone around you!

"YOU...PEST!" Carr screams as he tries to thrash Merrick off with his tail, not realizing the Fool card slowly becoming undone by the opposing energy surging through his body.

Back at the truck, James' panic increases as the truck starts to slow down from the tires being slashed, though it didn't completely stop it from moving.  He tries to get out,  but the surrounding explosions and flying projectiles scared him back into the driver's seat, clutching the two cards as he stares at them hurriedly.

"C'mon....  Hurry up and turn on...." he mutters while turning the Hanged Man card around and feeling around, "Ooooh....  Is there anyway to make the reboot move faster...!?"

Carnivine, meanwhile yanks his head back into the truck, bumping into James and causing him to lose hold of the card and send it flying out of the window.

(I believe so)

James yelps as he sees a Blaziken coming towards him from the rear-view mirror.  He grabs Danny in the hopes of slapping him onto Carnivine as it obviously had nothing else to do, but quickly finds the picture had been turned into a sepia-toned hue, the knight within struggling to get his bearings straight while clapping his arm around the painted background.

"Wah!  What happened to the color!" he yelps as he picks up the Hanged Man card only to notice the same, color-altering problem, though despite the mildly strained wince, he continues to remain upside down with his arms crossed.

"Picked a bad time to grab us...." Danny grunts weakly, "Once either of us are forced onto the same body, the opposing energy knocks our system's offline.  Now you'll never be able to use either of us until they reset completely...!"

James yelps again before pointing towards the mirror, "Hurry, Carnivine!  Use Bullet Seed!"

Carnivine, though seeming unsure of his hasty decision, pokes his head out the window and fires Bullet Seeds at the mirror.

"NOT THE MIRROR, YOU DOPE!!!  THE POKEMON CAUSING THE REFLECTION!!!"

Carnivine sweatdrops embarrassingly before turning its head around and firing off a barrage of glowing seeds at the oncoming Blaziken.

No sooner had this attack gone off several more where obscuring the truck's pursuit of Quickie.  James panics again as he grabs the other three Pokeball in his overalls.

"Get these Pokemon away from me!" he shouts as he throws the balls out of the window, releasing their respected Pokemon as they confronted the new, non-Kanto-region Pokemon.

Mewtwo hit the road on his back, the wind knocked out of him.  After a moment in a daze, he jumped to his feet and charged Carr, once again creating a psychic spoon-shaped weapon.  Once he was close enough, he lunged forward and stabbed downward.

Carr's eyes glowed again, causing the spoon to stop before it reached the card on his forehead.  Another flash sends it bounding back towards Mewtwo as he prepares another Shadow Ball in case he manages to dodge and come at him again.

Carr choked for a bit before flashing his eyes, causing Mewtwo's body to glow jade green as his hands begin to unwittingly uncurl and push away from him.  As this was going on, he points his hand towards Mewtwo's midsection and fires off a Shadow Ball with the intent of sending him flying far enough for him to recollect himself and attempt his own comeback.

Hierophant watched before turning his attention back to the fight between Carr and Mewtwo, noting the sudden disappearance of his Skarmory.  Before he could contemplate where it might be, a speeding streak flew over him, zeroing in on Quickie.

The Armor Bird Pokemon appears to have been hiding in the background, most likely on command to keep an eye out for any mention of Tarot Skitty's whereabouts, and is now speeding towards Quickie with the intent of snatching her backpack and reclaiming the all but motionless Robot Master inside.

But no sooner had it closed in on the green-haired trainer, another card slammed into its chest, causing an array of red and green sparks to fly around it.

Not this time, Hanged Man! Danny calls out strenuously from within Sharmory's mind, You've had your fun, now get off that Pokemon!

Whatever do yo mean by me having fun? Hanged Man retorts nonchalantly, though he was also sounding strenuous from the opposing effects of their cards, I was just minding my own business is all.

Just shut up and get out!

Outside, Skarmory was whipping its head around amidst the agonizing sparks, trying to figure out which of the voices belonged to the card on its back before a blinding explosion knocks the two away from each other, sending all three plummeting towards the ground.  Hierophant grits his teeth and makes a run for the two cards only to see a pair of vine whips lash out and grab them.  Panicked,  he grabbed one of the vines as it snagged, inadvertently hauling him back to the source; a seemingly large truck crammed among the many other cars backed up by the patrols trying to redirect traffic away from the ensuing fight.

"Fish on!" James squeals as Carnivine manages to pull the the less hampered card towards him, "Not exactly the friendliest of cards, but it'll do when we get Mewtwo and its trainer!"

He reaches for the oncoming card only to suddenly feel a surge taser-like energy crawling through his hand.

"Let go of those cards!" Hierophant grunts as he kept his foot planted on the car door while keeping hold of the other vine whip with his unarmed hand and the other holding the staff as his Miracle Beam was glowing brightly.

James muffles a frustrated growl as he points at Hierophant, "Why don't you give him your special greeting."

Carnivine reaches his Venus flytrap head out of the truck and snaps it open, aiming for Hierophant's head.  Yelping the blue haired priest yanks his head out of the way, causing the sharp-fanged maw to clamp shut around around the shoulder connected to the hand holding his staff.  Out of instinct, he lets go of the hand holding the vine and grabs Carnivine's upper jaw, trying to force it open as the glow on his staff vanishes due to his lack of concentration.

With no further oppression, James reaches out and grabs the two cards into his faded, farmer overalls, "That'll be all, Carnivine.  You can let go of him now."

Carnivine snaps his jaws back open, dropping Hierophant onto the street as part of his shoulder had been punctured to the point of drawing normal human blood onto his white and green uniform.  James chuckles eagerly as he places his hands back on the stirring wheel.

"Now for the OTHER task at hand!" he squeals before hitting the gas, making his way through the traffic to where Quickie is.

Watching the egotistic collaboration of Spider-Blues and his compliment as he swings away only made Hierophant groan louder while rubbing his frowning furrowed temples.

"I'd hate to see how well he gets along with Chariot and Magician if they ever get involved in these missions...." he sighs.

"You remember what Carr did when he last had Tarot Skitty?" Hierophant asked, "All you have to do is get somewhere it can see the cards, and let its yowl rip them off his body.  Since Carr hasn't fully acquainted with the Transform ability, not only would ripping Yan-Yan off revert him back to his original form, but it should reverse the brainwashing effects he put onto the clones following him."

"But that still wouldn't stop Mewtwo from taking his vengeance out on Carr for even attempting to take his form and brainwashing the clones he released into the wild," Merrick retorts, "Not to mention those clones might get upset and attack him without considering the consequences."

The Fool card yowls in fright of what he was hearing, but Carr meagerly throws up his own barrier to deflect the oncoming Shadow Ball.

"As unbreakable as these cards are, they're still prone to illegal shut down and long reboots, and I'd rather not suffer any chain-reacting effects along the way," he sneers.

No matter how strong Mewtwo's psychic powers were, the card refused to budge.

"You're wasting your PP," Carr chuckles amidst the strangling, "I am the only one who decides when the cards can be released from my body.  They are practically my tattoos to do as I see fit."

Seeing Quickie make a run towards the fight, Hierophant quickly follows after her.

"Hold on!" he calls out, "Before you get involved, there may be an easier way of stopping this fight before it gets worse!"
