Hierophant sat somewhere close to the group, looking between them and the Team Rocket Boss who seems to have one of the three Officer Jennys in this city sitting beside him.  Tarot Skitty hadn't taken its eyes off Jenny, nervously bouncing his curled boots up and down while half-consciously pawing the two cards it had since corralled back into its deck-holder.

It was obviously restless about being forced to testify Yan-Yan's involvement in the incident and how they were going to interrogate it.  No doubt that bias Jenny was going to take everything it said out of context just to drill that sword further into Mewtwo's back and win everyone's trust in her "accusations".

Hierophant looks over to Tarot Skitty after a moment, "Are you sure you don't want me to talk to the judge and convince him to let me do most of the talking?  They can't even understand the way you talk."

Tarot Skitty looks over to Hierophant, than the bias Jenny, swearing it saw her snap a glance towards him with that Devil, Moon, and Two of Swords energy protruding horns from her head, a crescent moon on her forehead, and a bandanna clamped tightly around her eyes by a pair of swords.  Every spark of its light structure crawls up its body as it jumps behind Hierophant, shaking nervously while whimpering like a cat.

"Fumeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...."

Hierophant glances towards Tarot Skitty, then the bias Jenny and her three dark Tarot Energies before sighing in reluctance, "I guess you're right....  Even if I could get the Judge to reconsider, she'll just use the switch as an excuse to further turn this entire region against Mewtwo...."

Hierophant and three members of Blazkrieg are S.H.I.E.L.D, and Chariot is Thor (At least until someone else makes a parody version of him).  I am still contemplating having either the original Emperor or his card version parody the Kingpin, but that's only if the story progresses to a point where I get some inspiration to have him show up.

Unfortunately, I only have Wild World and a DS Lite, which can't work with the wifi I currently have, so not only can I not help you, I can't get that last upgrade and a much needed hairstyle change unless I was at the college I'm attending, and someone visits the town.

I can't explain much in the way of RPM RP stories, since I either use characters I've created for other RPs or borrowed existing characters from games and throwing in a mundane backstory to explain how they wound up in an RPM-related universe.  But if I were to throw in a character as an example of whether there's too much torture to "beef up" the thrill of the character, I'd say Ryuta's X9 backstory may fit the bill.

I'm still in the midst of rewriting it to kick off any out-of-character situations that originally made him the "misunderstood" person that is runs the X9-related, vigilante-only Blazkrieg, but the primary focus was that he was stolen off the streets by some unnamed organization and turned into a "masterpiece" they think is the more appropriate weapon to end the war between Mavericks and Reploids.  He was eventually busted out by a Hunter unit that thought they had encountered a Maverick-run torture chamber, and while trying to straighten out the mess they had gotten themselves into, some other human-run organization tries to take custody of Ryuta and other victims captured and reconstructed by the unnamed organization.

He's currently hiding in a monastery and instigated a vigilante squad that hunts down and oppresses "human Mavericks", leading other military-based organizations to see him as either a threat to the public, or a complete nuisance, and wants him captured for their own legal reasons.

Ryuta was originally found by the monastery as a terrified heap, attacking anyone that so much as loudly contemplates calling someone that is under higher authority, but as he continues to live within the monastery, he begins to loosen up and find other ways of living in the public without having to act so violently or antisocial towards those who want to help him.

There isn't much to say about Hajime and Nite, the reploid version of Atsushi Saito.  Hajime was a victim of the Abel City missile attack (Though that may change to explain, in a less torturous way, how he wound up with cybernetic implants), and Nite's only tragedy was losing a half-brother to a Maverick raid caused by an anti-reploid gang of humans, bent on making the public regress them back to obedient robots.

James tries not to compress his lips upon getting the isolated telepathy, It's complicated...and I don't want to go into too much detail that will cause you to overreact and give Team Rocket more reason to antagonize you....  Right now, there's a possibility that our boss is swaying between subjecting you to something called the Shadow Project, and putting you down should they win the case....


"I may have to leave Kanto as well for a while," Hierophant said, "Since Carr's pretty much antagonized the reputation of Tarot Skitty and its cards, I feel it's best to move out after the trial so everyone can move on and forget the bad things Team Rocket had force them to commit."


Back in the guest dorm, Tarot Skitty, now retaking Yan-Yan's full midget form, sits on one of the top bunks and scissor kicks its legs while moaning over what was going to happen.  Danny had since planted himself back into Excalibur's chest mane, crossing his arms in frustration.

There had been a debate before Hierophant left for the cafeteria.  While the captives were insistent on wanting to warn the officials of Team Rocket's meddling, they knew at least two of the members were having doubts about what their boss may be up to.  Despite agreeing to leave the reveal to the investigative team, they were still on edge over what they should do to avoid making the situation worse.

"We need to stay as far away from Team Rocket as possible, but stay within the station so the police don't think we bailed when they need our evaluations to edge out the possibilities," Danny grumbles.

Tarot Skitty continues to stare at its kicking legs before snapping straight with an idea and pulling the duffel bag towards him, shaking it towards Danny to show what he has planned.  Danny continues to stare at the bag while rubbing his hand along the side of his helmet.

"I guess we don't have much of a choice," he mutters, "We'll probably need to warn our homeland to stay away from this region just so they don't complicate matters by getting involved."

Tarot Skitty nods in acceptance as it hops down to solid ground and opens the bag only to suddenly get pounced by a restless, tiger-like blur.  Danny and Excalibur yelp as the impact caused the Hanged Man and Wheel of Fortune cards to fly out of the deck on its back and drift out of the room, heading into different directions.

Danny stares in shock before looking towards where the blur had landed to see a Growlithe happily licking a freaked out Tarot Skitty's snot-dribbling face.

"Sting!" he almost yells, "Chariot told you not to jump out of the bag unless HE was the one opening it!"

As Tarot Skitty was trying to push Sting off it, it suddenly noticed the Hanged Man drifting off towards the main station.  Yelping in hysteria, it shoved Sting off and scrambles off after the drifting card, bumping into every officer that got in its way and creating further distance between them.  Danny stares in dumbfounded frustration before looking towards the Wheel of Fortune card, who was drifting towards the direction of the cafeteria.

Neither could afford to let this wayward cards fall into the wrong hands, otherwise Hierophant would get into further trouble by choosing not to warn any of the officials of the two Team Rocket members that were lurking within the facility.  Gritting his teeth, he looks up towards Excalibur and Genbu, who was still sitting on his back.

"Follow that Wheel!" he calls out, "There's no telling what kind of futuristic curiosity those officials might get out of it if they got their hands on the card!"

Without much response, Excalibur grabs the duffel bag and bounds out towards the cafeteria in the hopes of catching the card before said officer notices and grabs it while thinking of something future-related.

"They're saying they want to do a spinal tap," James said, "It should be over quickly, provided you stay calm and not freak out at whatever they use to perform the procedure.


Hierophant's compressed lips tighten some upon hearing Quickie thinking about moving to Hoenn to start over far from where Team Rocket's primary base.  He contemplates heading over there for a little exploration himself, and in the hopes that his disappearance will ebb away any acknowledgement of Tarot Skitty and its cards.

"Hopefully there aren't any other criminal organizations that will be vying for control over Mewtwo," he finally said.

James nods nervously as he heads out of the office and towards where the clones were being kept, noting that, indeed, Mewtwo hasn't returned yet.


Hierophant compressed his lips some as he took a seat on the other side of the table Quickie sat at, "No....  After the eval, I got distracted and didn't get a chance to see him....  Jenny said they had just taken him out for another eval, but she didn't pay enough attention to tell what it was."

James cringes again, seemingly having never had a spinal tap before.  He only hopes Mewtwo doesn't blow up the Institute out of instinct and give more than just Giovanni reason to put him out of his misery.


Jenny arrives back at the station and presses the unlock button for the door Hierophant sat next to.

"I'll be back later to set the Skitty and the other cards up for evaluation," Jenny said, "It's nothing too serious, we just need to make sure they aren't as responsible for the incident as that Fool card.  For now, make sure you keep them somewhere they won't cause trouble."

Hierophant nods silently as he picks up Tarot Skitty and the still out cold Yan-Yan and heads back into the station and towards the guest dorms.  Jenny continues to watch before toggling the stick on her car and driving back to the Institute to find and help Phoenix with any other evidence he might need for the upcoming case.

As Domino was dragging James back inside the Institute, he struggles to try and grab Tarot Skitty, but was too paralyzed from the Hold spell to do nothing more than twitch.

"We need...to get that Skitty back...." James strains, "They'll...blow our cover...."

Hierophant compressed his lips some more before heading off back to the car with Tarot Skitty and some of its cards in tow, hoping this would be his only visit to the Institute.

Once back at the car, he quietly gets into the backseat, looking around, "Where's Mr. Wright?"

"I had to leave him behind to begin his investigation," Jenny said, "I'll drop you off back at the station, then return to help him uncover any shady attempts to sabotage the case in Team Rocket's favor."

"I guess this means I can't at least visit Mewtwo and see if he's okay?"

"By the time I went outside to get some air, the scientists were already taking him to another room for another eval," Jenny said, "If you had gotten back here soon, you might have been able to catch him as they were leaving the room where the clones were being kept."

There was a moment of silence before Jenny smiles, "Don't worry though.  I'll be heading back to the Institute, so if I come across Mewtwo at any point, I'll be able to get some report to share with Ms. Shank when we return later this evening."

Hierophant compresses his lips again, feeling no more need to speak again as Jenny starts the car and begins driving them back to the station.

Hierophant decided it was best not to tell Domino the reason the Hanged Man's card shocked him if only to keep her from having an advantage should Team Rocket start turning their attention to the capabilities of the card.  He looks towards the scuffle to contemplate how to stop it only to notice it was now barreling towards her.  Panicked and unable to think in such a short amount of time, he summons his gold scepter and points it at the billowing dust clouds formed by their tumble along the ground.

"HOLD!"

The orb flashes a greenish glow, causing a spiral of sparks to surround James and Yan-Yan, leaving the former twitching in paralysis on the ground and the card drifting about with swirls in place of his eyes.  Danny and Tarot Skitty remained unaffected due to their reinforced energy rendering the spell ineffective, though the scuffle has left him almost dazed, resulting in Tarot Skitty laying flat on its stomach in response to his current condition, and the Wheel of Fortune card once again drifting away from them.

Hierophant quickly runs over and grabs the Wheel of Fortune card in time to hear a familiar voice calling to them.

"What's going on back here!?"

He looks towards the source to see Jenny trot over to them, seeming to have gone outside to get some air after getting tired of waiting a few minutes inside the Institute.

"Oh," she quips, noticing the mess surrounding Hierophant, "I...see you've found your white Skitty."

"Yeah...." Hierophant said, scratching his head while eyeing the two "scientists" standing around him while picking up Tarot Skitty and placing the Wheel of Fortune card and Yan-Yan on its back, "There was a bit of a problem catching it, but these two were able to help round them up."

"A problem these two-" the Hanged Man began before Hierophant points Tarot Skitty towards him, causing it to yowl and yank him back towards the deck on its back, all but shutting him up completely.

Jenny seemed suspicious, but figures it was best to just trust him and get back to more important matters, "Well, now that you have what was keeping us, we should get going.  I don't want the rest of the Institute getting suspicious of your cards and forcing another case into our hands."

"Er...right..." Hierophant mutters while sheepishly rubbing the back of his head as he watches Jenny head back towards the parking lot to locate and start the car.

Hierophant compressed his lips, feeling guilty for having not kept a better grip on Yan-Yan, or preventing James from blowing their cover, as he reluctantly follows Domino towards where the emergency exit was.

Once outside, they find James and Yan-Yan fighting over each other while the Hanged Man and Wheel of Fortune card drift further from each other, having been scattered from Tarot Skitty during the toss.

Danny, managing to get control of the wayward robot through the deck holder on its back, manages to catch the Wheel of Fortune card, but as he was directing it towards the Hanged Man card, James and Yan-Yan's scuffle tumbled towards him causing him to rolled into the mess while the Hanged Man continues to drift further from the Institute with no less response than a nonchalant sigh and a shrug.

Hierophant tries to grab the Hanged Man card, but the second he touched it, a surging mess of yellow and red courses through his body, startling him into tossing the card even further out of reach and towards the city.

Ryuta looked between the scientists taking Mewtwo away and Joe biting into a cigarette-shaped piece of candy before leaning back in his chair and brushing his hand along the back of Kumitsune's neck mane, deciding it best to just wait rather than follow after them and risk the Shiny Eevee coming within eyesight of the crazed doctor next door.


Hierophant had whacked his back against the door frame while falling onto his own rump, having attempted to sneak out after everyone had gone back to their business, not realizing someone else was heading for the office James was hiding in.  He struggles to shake the daze from his senses and looks to who he ran onto, but as he was about to say something, Yan-Yan had bent the top half of his card upwards while poking his head out to see James slink towards the filing cabinet and pull it open, reaching another hand in to retrieve Tarot Skitty.

Yowling, he flies off towards the open drawer, not realizing Hierophant was still clinging to him.  The ensuing jolt yanks the young priest into a hard slam on his side, forcing him to let go and send Yan-Yan careening towards James, who freaked out at his oncoming presence and slams the drawer only to almost crush his arm in the process.

The disguised Team Rocket member yells his pain and shock as he flings his sandwiched arm out of the drawer, sending Tarot Skitty flying out a nearby open window.  Both panic and dive out after the drifting robot Pokemon, leaving Hierophant to watch while struggling to stagger back to his feet and attempt to follow after them despite riding through another series of pain being slammed on his side.
