"What you see is what you get, I'm afraid.  Whoever sold me those mangas were probably in the process of animating them."

While StrangeMan tended to Nick a bizarre being with a broccoli shapped body, simple cartoonish legs (kinda like the enemies in M&L games) thin arms with exesively large cilindrical steel forearms with equally large fist, and a dog's face entered the chaotic store, that is anImate.
"Now...where are the cookbo-"
Before the being could finish it's sentence, he was bombarded with a large load of mangas and DVDs...which he caught with his gigantic mouth.
"*Nunm num num* *gulp* *beeeeeelch*...Thanks for the snacks...a bit stycky, but still good" Said the being after swallowing said load of cooking books and DVDs in a mere second.
"Now, tell me where this cooking competition will be taking place...I'm still a bit hungry"

"This is a bookstore you...tree-brained broccoli!" the employee complains, "You want details on where the cooking competition is, ask the guy who announced it!"

(Tenchou didn't want to get rid of them because they were outdated, he wanted to get rid of them because they have nothing to do with the general entertainment that "normal" action buffs and otaku would go for)

"As I've already told W-san, we're all sold out.  The last two costumers I tried giving them to when Photoshop on the entire stock and deleted them all."

Tenchou then sighs, "I hope the original owners don't try to sue me for letting a customer destroy their work...."

He then looks over to WilyII, "Oh, and I'm afraid I'm sold out, thanks (somewhat) to these two, so you'll have to make due with what you have."

Tenchou looks over to Flame, still expressing that same, horizontal-line-eyed expression while squeaking, "What's that...?"  With Afro chewing on his hand, it was obvious Flame has no clue he was about to be in some very serious danger.

Tenchou sighs a bit as he looks over to RMZX and Kallen, his eyes closed into straight lines, "Very well...at least if DIS PEAR still affects me I can at least go down in glory...."

He begins ringing up the cost of the DVDs, "That's about two of your gift certificates...and you are aware that you only have one hour left before the rest of them expire...."

Well, that's another way of getting rid of them....

Afro-Shroom arrives in time to see Temnota restrain Ryuta and Tenchou with the DIS PEAR in his hand...

Afro: *Staring at the pear with hunger*...You gonna eat that?

Tenchou: >_>'

Tenchou stares at Afro a second before holding DIS PEAR in front of him, "By all means!  GET IT OFF ME!!!"

I hate this.... I can't move...

I hate using this power...

RMZX Removed the books and DVDs from him and Kallen using Photoshop. He also took the liberty of erasing the rest of the Books and DVD's from existence.

Kallen, lets go get some real Items...

Sounds fine to me...

Ryuta just watched as the mountain of books and DVDs he was hoping to get the competitors to use in their future challenges were taken off the wall.  Though he was relieved that Tenchou won't have to be stuck with them the rest of his life, the fact that it was a REQUIREMENT to have at least one of them meant that the competition was over before it started.

Heaving a frustrated sigh, he warps back to his throne and waits for the other hour to be up before making his announcement.

"Perhaps it would have been better if you'd let them get the cookbooks they need to continue with the competition," Ittetsu said.

"No," Ryuta grumbled in disappointment, "The specific reason I had them get those cookbooks was not just to get them out of Tenchou's hands, but proof that they want to continue in this competition.  And the fact that the entire collection has disappeared leads me to think that NO ONE wants to continue with this competition solely because it's too stupid for them to even consider a challenge."

He pulls out another pomato and chews on it while dreading his options, "Now I have no choice but to disqualify everyone and end this competition, which also means I have to tell the other people I involved that they've wasted their time waiting for any participants to show up.  But I guess that's a good thing to them because they're too proud of themselves to even want to carry such a 'silly title' around."

He then notices DIS PEAR, "And...DIS PEAR...?"

He reaches over to take it off WilyII's hand and examine it.

Ryuta watched the scheme going on inside the store, sighing a bit in disappointment at the lack of fairness to the rules, "Some people just don't want to find out what it takes to be the best RPMer in the world...."

"We have one hour before the certificates expire," Ittetsu said, "And so far, we have gotten 10 customers who have at least one of the mangas and DVDs presented during the intro."

"At this point, the competition may not even reach the next level with these people so desperate to avoid buying what we have," Ryuta mutters, "They just don't understand what it takes to be an Extreme Iron Chef."

Two of the male employees saw Tenmona destroying everything bound to Roa and rushed over to them, "Hey!  That's 20,000 zenny you owe us for destroying our property!"

"But you said-!" WilyII was interuptted by the other employee sticking his aggravated mug in his face.

"Stupid or not, it's in our store, therefore it's our property, and thus you must pay for what you break!"

Unforunately for WilyII and Roa, it wasn't the chains that were keeping Roa bound to the Iron Chef DVDs and manga-style cookbooks; it was the wrappers surrounding them.  So strong and sticky that no amount of tugging will get them off.

"But this is so much better!" Tenchou proclaims, suddenly appearing behind the pile of manga and DVDs trapping RMZX and Kallen and slamming his foot on top of them, "Why go through all that boring rubbish of opening an account, donate them to another store, or burn them...WHEN YOU CAN HYPE UP THE AUIDENCE BY THROWING A COOKING COMPETITION AND CONVINCING THEM TO TAKE THEM OFF MY HANDS!?!?"

"You...do realize you're still advertising their existence," Flame mutters.

"Who cares!?" one of the employees shouts, swinging the collection of manga-style cookbooks in the air by a bunch of ropes, "We need a break from trying to get the Legendary Girl A to buy our stuff!  And besides, if she saw us selling these, she'd never want to set foot in here again!"

"Exactly!" Tenchou hypes again, "You know full well Legendary Girl A is an otaku like no other!  She'll do close to anything to get what she wants, even buy more than one of the same thing!  But she would never buy something that makes as much sense as putting something together AND USING IT!!!"

Veins start to crawl around his eyes as a much horrendous thought enters his mind, "She could even be shopping on eBay, even as we speak!  If she finds out our store is harboring some of these...LOUSEY EXCUSES for mangas, she might get the wrong impression and never come by here again!"

Tenchou begins to shudder in dispair at his options.

Oh...this is bad....  I want to get rid of these cookbook mangas and DVDs so bad....  But if I force them onto my favorite customers....

He looked like he was about to break down and cry at the options given to him.  He eventually falls to his hands and knees and bows in front of Flame, "Fine then...I'll make an exception just...don't tell the other customers.  You don't know how embarrassing this is having mangas and DVDs that have NOTHING to do with action...entertainment...drama...!"

He rears his head back, grabbing it as he bawls fountains of tears, "All the other book and DVD stores will think I'm a joke, accepting something so stupid as a manga that only focuses on the best way to prepare food than all the love, romance and suspense that is a true manga!  Iron Chef may be action packed; being shown the secret ingredients, then watching as chefs use them to prepare food in a set time....  But that's all it is; action and suspence...AROUND FOOD!!!  IT'S HUMILIATING!!!  I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I GOT STUCK WITH THIS GARBAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!"

He cries louder as all the other employees surrounding the gang began crying as well.

"Oh, but we insist!" one of the staff shouts as he uses freakishly plastic claws to pick up the mangas, "You MUST take these!  They could be a great addition to your collection!"

"We can't help you out with your request until you do...." seethes the other.

The two begin to close in around Flame and Taiyo, giving off that intimidating, almost manipulative leer as they slowly bring down the manga-type cookbooks and DVDs towards him.

Tenchou's egotistic fire burns twice as hot as he pulls out another set of manga-style cookbooks, attached to the same plastic claws in order to avoid his hands touching them, "I'll throw those in if you take another set of these GREAT cookbooks!"

The woman begins to move towards the checkout stand, dragging Roa along with her as she sports a freakish smirk, "Now to get them checked out so you can use them to your heart's content."

Tenchou, meanwhile, rubs the back of his head sheepishly, "Oh, well, I was going to include a DVD of one of the Iron Chef seasons, but I figured you already have those downloaded somewhere in your castle, so I decided to throw a bonus in for my second favorite customer!"

AfroMania and Afro-Shroom arrive outside anImate and observe the chaos that is ensuing inside...

Dan: L-let's wait abit until the competition begins. 

Afro-Shroom rocks off and waits outside anImate with AfroMania...

"I thought the mayhem inside was already an indication," Ryuta says as he sits upon the throne hovering over the entrance, "The competition's already started.  You just didn't arrive in time to hear the introduction."


Tenchou jitters with more excitement, "This is so sweet!  The great W-san himself is here...." he then reaches behind him and pulls out the entire set of cookbooks and DVDs he's been "cursed" to lug around, all of which were attached to strings to avoid him getting stuck on the wrappers covering them, "TO BUY SOME OF THIS LIMITED EDITION BOOKS!!!"

Two more of his staff showed up around Taiyo and Flame, holding the same collection.

"YOU HAVE THE 10,000 ZENNY GIFT CERTIFICATES TOO!?" one of them shouts with an overdramatic flare of determination, "THEN WHY DON'T YOU USE THEM TO BUY THESES!?!?"

They begin throwing the collection towards Flame and Taiyo.


An older woman wearing the same apron as the rest of the employees drops down in front of Roa.

"Hello, sir," she said with a rather smug laugh, "You come here looking for these!?"

She then twirls the entire cookbook collection over her head, wrapped in thick chains, then lobs them towards Roa.


The girl pants as she chases after Cap'n, firing more of the same books, "Come back sir!  You didn't even check out how great these books are!"

Tenchou slowly raises his scanner towards the pile his staff threw onto RMZX and Kallen, his eyes flashing as his sinister demeanor darkens, "You're doing us a good favor by taking half the load we've been cursed with.  I hate having to burn all these useless mangas and DVDs, especially since they were delivered by the Legendary Deliver Dragon Rider."

The girl giggles cutely as she winks towards Cap'n, "I'm sorry, sir.  But those books are in an actual bookstore."

She then turns B.B. Hood and yanks a bazooka out of the skirt of her fighting uniform, "You'll have to make due with what we're stuck with!"

She begins firing the same mangas and DVDs at Cap'n, all covered in the same wrap as the ones thrown at RMZX and Kallen.

It wasn't long before the other staff starts throwing the books at the customers trying make use of their 10,000 zenny certificates to buy things other than the cook-mangas and DVDs.  Barely any of them were able to escape without being pounded by at least one of the mangas or DVDs.

A female staff appears in front of Cap'n, looking all cute and girly.

"Oh my, sir!  Are you looking for something?" she asked, "Maybe I can help you find what you're looking for!"

She giggles as she reaches behind her and hurls out a complete set of the cookbooks and DVD that were on the poster outside.

Most of the items that landed on Kallen and RMZX stuck like glue.  Try as they might, they couldn't get it off.

Tenchou's tenacious expression rises as well as the temperature around him, Whadya know....  Those sticky book wraps actually worked....  The slightest touch of a person's body temperature will cause the beads to melt, producing a sticky glue so strong, it even clings to the tip of your finger and never break off....

He raises his scanner with a sinister look on his face, And while they scramble to get it off, I'll ring up everything we threw at them, putting their gift cerficiates into effect and leaving them square in their hands to do as they please....

RMZX and Kallen burst out of the ground.

HEY TENCHOU!!! HOW MUCH CAN I BUY WITH 30 CERTIFICATES?

RMZX holds up the certificates.

Tenchou was speechless.

Speechless still before more tears spill down his face.

"That much...!?  WHY YOU JUST SAVED US HALF THE MOUNTAIN!!!" he cries for joy before pointing at RMZX and Kallen, "LAY IT ON THEM!!!"

Suddenly, he staff jumps out from behind the counter with nearly 30 of the seven mangas displayed on the poster and two entire series of both Iron Chef Japan and America.  They began throwing them at the newly married couples.

"So now that everything has been announced," Ryuta began as the counting grew louder the closer they got to opening day.

The entire area falls silent another second before Ryuta throws his hand into the air and thrust it towards the doors.

"ALLEZ CUISINE!!!"

Right on cue, the doors fly open, driving all participants to ram their way inside and attempt to grab what they can in the 2hrs they have to use every certificate they grabbed.  Tenchou watches in sheer delight as everyone scrambles to clear his store of everything.

"So many customers...." he gasps as tears start to fly out of his eyes, "It's a dream come true second to Legendary Girl A...!  He truly is a miracle...!"

Earlier that morning....

Tenchou screams in overdramatic hysteria as a mountain of manga-style cookbooks were dumped in front of him.

"What the hell is this!?" he cries as lightning strikes behind him, "I didn't order these!"

"Well, unfortunately that's exactly what these customers wanted me to do," Hajime mutters as he begins checking off his checklist, "No other store on the market would accept them clearly because of their manga and anime appearance.  You're store is the only place that'll accept them."

"B-but...." Tenchou sobs, "This isn't a culinary store!  Can't you convince them to find someone else!?"

"Come now," Hajime said, patting the devastated Tenchou on the shoulder, "I'm sure you'll find some way of selling them.  I'd love to help you with that, but unfortunately I have other deliveries to make, so you're pretty much on your own."

"B...but...." Tenchou watches in more devastation as Hajime climbs back onto his dragon truck and drives off, leaving him to figure out what to do with them.

His entire being fades to white, "No one will want to buy all these....  They'll be sitting on my shelf forever...AND EVER...AND EVER!!!!"

He trembles in fright before grabbing his head and throwing it back while screaming at the top of his lungs;

おうえんだ-ん!!

At that moment, Atsushi, Ryuta, and Ittetsu burst out of the door, about to announce their presence when they saw the mountain of manga-style and anime cookbooks and DVDs stacked in front of them.  The trio looked to each other before Ryuta smirked.

"Say," he began as he walks over to Tenchou, "You mind if we use your store for a while?"

Tenchou creeks his head over to him, still giving off that jaw dropping expression with a squeaky "eh?"

"It'll help you get rid of those books faster...."

Tenchou's colors immediately returned as he grabbed Ryuta's hands and holds them up, "They will!?  What's your plan!?"

"Oh, nothing much," Ryuta said, "Just take all those gift cerfiticates you have cluttering up your store and shower them onto the city.  You'll have a ton of customers waiting to buy those books and you won't have to wait another day for someone to come and take them off your hands."

"Really and truly!?" Tenchou's eyes sparkle as a ray of light shines above him, "You really are a miracle...even when you aren't cheering me on....  I'll do it!"

Tears continue to spill from Tenchou's eyes as he throttles his fists with excitement and joy, "Such a miracle...." he then looks back to the crowd as they continue to pour in, his face darkening to determination as fire errupts behind him, "And now...to make sure this entire store is rid of all those cookbooks those morons tried to dump on me...."
