Roleplay / Re: The Galactic Adventures of RPM!
« on: January 01, 2010, 10:55:08 PM »
Hajime spent the rest of the day monitoring the referbishing process of the E and Egg-series badniks he recovered from Old Eggmanland.  There was hardly anymore he could find that were barely intact from the jumble of rusted mess that was supposed to be the security guards.  He almost felt sorry for the fact they weren't given any last orders before their creator disappeared somewhere, but feels confident that they would be in better hands once things have been set up for delivery.

The next day he lines up the repaired and polished badniks onto his Dragon Truck and sets the autopilot to tracking the source of the signal he recieved earlier.  A protective barrier surrounds them before lifting off the ground and zooming into space, bypassing the burning ozone layer with nothing more than a slight increase in heat, then driving off towards the source of the signal.

Hajime manages to find some fully intact E-Series badniks and a few Egg Series after searching around the entrance of the area.  He decides to store them in the Dragon Truck and send it to his factory to be referbished and cleaned of all rusth and malfunctions caused by the years of neglect they suffered following who knows when Robotnik decided to abandon his base.

While waiting for his truck to return, Hajime heads deeper into the area, searching around for anymore of the same series of badniks.  Though he had a feeling he might be selling for the enemy, there was very little he could do to convince himself not to stop his business for the sake of a presumption.  Until stated otherwise, he continues to follow through with their request and find what they need.

Upon arrival, Hajime finds out just how abandoned the place was in the past 50 years.  Most of the Badniks were slightly rusted and carpeting the rocky terrain of the area; most seeming active enough to be scanning around for intruders.

Though Hajime should be confident this bounty would be a breeze, he still has to remain cautious as there could still be Badniks wandering around with the purpose of protecting the area from unidentified intruders possibly old enough to not recognize his services.

A few yards from the gate, there hasn't been any signs of hostility from the outer border, suggesting it to be safe enough for passage.  Hajime keeps neutral as he walks further into the building, keeping an eye out for any Egg Pawns or E-Series robots that appeared to be in good enough condition to salvage.

Gaia: Eggmanland is in ruin, so I doubt Robotnik still exists. And I would like the Egg Pawn series, if they are still around. If not, then any remaining E-Series robots. I'll pay by the diamonds found during one of my diamond runs.

Hajime nods in acceptance, though the person who sent the signal couldn't see it due to his lack of space for a video monitor.

"Then it shouldn't be too much of a problem; I should have your order ready in about less than a couple days," he said as he sets in the coordinates to Eggmanland.  Because of the change in the planet over the past fifty years, it was nearly impossible to remember the exact location of the place regardless of how much familiar junk was crowded around the area.

Once he has the coordinates set, the dragon truck warps back onto the desolate land of former Sparkvernia and drives off towards what little signal remained of Eggmanland.

*Gaia gets another call, this time from a company*

Gaia: Oh, I do belive you have reached the mining colony.. I do belive you were the ones that traced our frequency through earlier.

As the treasure hunter has recently pinged him just minutes after got out of orbit, he thinks of an idea..

Gaia: I'd like more rare robots left over in the now more dangerous Eggmanland, can you think you can do the job?

Hajime compresses his lips at the request.  There was no telling if Eggmanland is still inhabited by the owners.  It wouldn't hurt to ask, seeing as he's done some delivery work for them over the years.

"it shouldn't be much a problem," he said, "I should be able to find the robots you need, but I might need a little more detail on whether you want specific robots or whatever I can find."

Hajime had just taken a break from tinkering with the satilite, heading back to his truck to test out and see if the transmission had been successfully rerouted.  Upon reaching the driver's seat of his dragon truck, he saw his hailing signal flashing, indicating another customer was calling for his services.

He takes a wire out of a port next to the flashing light and sticks it on his lower right protrution, then presses a button that sends a confirmation signal back to the ship that hailed him.

"Rare Finds Delivery; I can dig up anything and have it ready in a short time," he spoke.

50 years had passed since most of RPM began to colonize space and the only thing that changed was the sudden build up of junk on the once beautiful planet.

This just means bigger business for Hajime's Rare Finds Delivery service.  50 years means most of the stuff left behind have become a collectors item for the new generation of RPM members.  And since Hajime hasn't aged a day thanks to the advancement of his cybernetic implants, he could continue working all day without worry about finding a successor to his routine.

With so much income from the amount of rare finds he sold to those who call for his mining experience, Hajime had wracked in enough income to build a more managable, environment-friendly factory that takes the most damaged artifacts and fixes them to look good as new, and a more habitable mansion made of clean mythril, designed to alter between temperatures of day and night.

He began to expand his business to taking his dragon delivery truck into space and collecting the debris that were floating around the planet since most of the inhabitants have abandoned the area.

Today he had parked his dragon truck next to an old satillite that was programmed to broadcast TV shows to the planet of RPM.  He attempts to widen the signal so that the other ships can watch their favorite shows without having to go back to the near poluted atmosphere of the planet.  He hopes this will keep most of the people entertained until enough of the planet had been cleaned up to allow habitation once again.

Hajime just stared at the anti-climatic ending to Roa's show before closing the AVI player on WilyII's main computer and shaking his head.

"I don't know what possessed him to even like that show," he grumbles as he heads for the exit of WDS, finding his presence no longer needed.

The day goes on as everyone from the Cooking Competition rests and recuperates from the ordeal they suffered during Roa's attempt to take over.  Little did they realize that a shrilling cry would throw a curve ball into their continuing journey to become the Extreme Iron Chef.

It started early the next morning at the Neko Cafe with a single ring of the phone.  The head catgirl waitress walks over and picks it up.

"Hello, Neko Cafe!" she calls out cheerfully, "What can I get for you?"

100 Waffle Cookies, fried rice and a bottle of PB's Special Mango Lemonade. replied the caller from a currently undisclosed area, And make sure you separate them into individual boxes to be delivered by how many catgirls you have on call.

The catgirl cheerfully nods as she jots down everything on her notepad, "Alright, can I get a name and location please?"

What she got instead horrified her more than the recent infestation of tentacles that threatened to [twin slasher] the entire staff if they didn't get what they wanted exactly down to the amount of rice grains in their bowl.  Without warning, a large gust of wind blows through the speaker end of the phone, followed by a manly, almost godly roar.

I AM THE OTOKOJUKU HEADMASTER; EDAJIMA HEIHACHI!!!!

The head waitress stands in her place, ratty haired and white as a new sheet hanging over the clothesline as horrifying images of large shadows of muscular men surrounding her and her staff, fingers twitching as though ready to pounce at the very sight of their pray.

"Not them...." she squeaks as more flashbacks of that horrifying delivery flashed through her head, "Please Great Mistress of RPM not them....  Most of us still haven't recovered from that horrifying day...."

Ever so slowly she tilts her head back and squeals at the top of her lungs.

OUENDAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
Yes, it's romanized; I'm currently on a computer that doesn't support kanji

In no time flat, the doors to the Neko Cafe fly open as Ryuta and his two followers flew in, about to address their distressed caller when Ryuta took notice of who it was.

Seconds after their arrival, the entire kitchen flashes red as a monitor drops down displaying a crest that looked like for cherry blossom pedals fused together with the Japanese kanji of "Man" in the center.  Upon recognizing where that symbol came from a cunning smirk crept across Ryuta's face as he heads off to talk to the head waitress.

Though Ryuta was somewhat relieved that the situation is under control, he can still sense the stress of the other competitors who witnessed the near deadly battle that was about to ensue between him and the Knights.  If he continued with this challenge, he would most likely be no better than Roa.  He turns back to address the competitors.

"Due to recent, hair-raising difficulties, I'm still going to postpone this competition for the remainder of the day," he announced, "We will continue it once everyone has a good night's rest and are well prepared to cook with a clear mind."

Hajime felt a sudden jolt of remorse in his heart, causing it to release a strenuous sensation throughout his organic veins to send tears spilling out his eyes.  That amount of inner pain could only mean one thing.

He warps back into the infirmary to find a bloodied mess and dents on two empty beds.  He sighs a bit in remorse, but before he could think of what to say, an alarm goes off, prompting him to warp to the WDS' main lab where he sees a meteor had destroyed nearly everything in Roa's tower, including parts of a small town some few distances away.

This all seemed too fast and there was hardly anything he could do about it except check to see what was going on with Ryuta's cooking competition.

Switching monitors to the inside of the Sex Shack, he finds the Blazkrieg leader and the competitors being shot at by two of Silan's Knights.  Hajime grits his teeth as he tries to figure out how to inform them of the incident without aggravating what little mob was stupidly brave enough to stick around and protest against Ryuta's continuation of the competition.

Ryuta barely budges as the competitors were struggling to continue the cooking for the PB Helpers amidst the firing of the Knights trying to crash his competition.  He eyes Temnota, worried that she might get involved in the crushing of the competition and make his chances of restarting even more complicated.

He eventually relents and hits a button on his armchair, shutting off the counters and the timer at the far end of the wall, turning to address the competitors who stopped upon hearing the sudden noise of the machines shutting down.

"I apologize for this sudden interruption," he said, "But it would seem rather unfair for me to make you continue competing when there are people trying to take over the world and crap.  So it pains me to say that we have no choice but to postpone the competition until further notice.  You can all leave for the time being, get some rest and come back when there isn't so much controversy going on."

Meanwhile at the Sex Shack:
Sonne: Ok, we would like to ask Mr. Ryzzoto...Rukongan...Tyramisu...what was his name again?
Stolz:  -AC Ryuta
Sonne: Right, so we would like to ask mr. Ryuta to come over here and the rest of you guys may leave 8)

The competitors nervously prepare to leave when Ryuta sticks his arms out as a form of command to stop them, "Ignore them and continue cooking for the PB Helpers.  If they can still stand in line and not pay attention to the threat going on outside, so can you."

Ittetsu looks over to Ryuta, "It's only five minutes into the challenge, Ippongi-sama.  Perhaps it would be best to pause the competition and wait until after this whole take over the world fiasco finishes before getting back to work.  It would seem rather unfair for the participants to keep working with all these unwanted distractions slowing them down; and there are still some who haven't even brainstormed an idea because of the danger going on around them."

Ryuta grits his teeth in frustration at what was going on around him.  If he holds off the competition for the sake of a bunch of activists working for Roa, the competitors wouldn't have much of a challenge to prove themselves to be an Extreme Iron Chef.  But if he makes them continue, it would eventually reach a point where they would join the activists and force an end to the competition before he could get to the more harrowing challenges.

(You know, I was kinda hoping you'd all wait until I at least got to the fourth challenge before trying to shut it down, but whatever.... ;O;)

Ryuta saw the mob retreating as two of the Ritter knights showed up with a hoard of minions.

"It would seem that everyone is in a hurry to get to the next phase of their plan," Ittetsu said rather calmly.

"Like I said before, I don't care how much of the city intends to turn against me, I want to push this competition as far as possible," Ryuta said, still watching the competitors racking in the number of satisfied PB Helpers.  It was still five minutes into the competition.

Ryuta watches WilyII disappear with Afro, unsure of whether he was choosing to bow out of the competition completely.  He eventually disregards it and looks towards the other competitors who are already busy trying to please the PB Helpers with their dishes.

So far, most of the pathetic cookers were either getting, burnt, frozen of scorched with plasma as they struggle to keep up with their "somewhat" demanding orders, while the rest appear to be getting the hang of the rules and serving their respected PB Helpers without a problem.  If all goes well, he may not have a need to announce the penalty for not meeting the requirements.

"Ignore those morons outside," Ryuta announced, turning his throne to face to the participants of the cooking competition, "They're nothing more than Roa's obsessed fanbase trying to shut me down over a simple presumption.  This challenge should be your only concern for the duration of this hour."

Agro? That was the clone of Afro...right, who might be the others?
Asked BH, seemingly ignoring Harming sudden appearance in front of him.

"Well," Hajime sighs, "There's COPY'd, who is a clone of Doc's Boosted Rock-on armor, and GARjime, who is a manlier version of me.  They're stable at the moment, but haven't woken up yet."

Hajime blinks at Harmiing's sudden appearance despite seeming somewhat prepared for when he did show up.

"Aside from him," he adds, "There're also a few others who...were under Roa's thumb.  They're still recovering in the Infirmary so, aside from Argo, there's no telling how they'll react when they find out Roa no longer wants them."

Meanwhile Svetlo and Blackhook entered the WDS.
BH:Yo! Anyone here? There are lots of angry mobs outside so I guess is that time again.
S: Why are you yelling?
BH: It helps around here... '>.> Anyways gramps, since when are you interested in the events of this city?
S: Since the Sex shack got closed....I mean since great Evil returned to this city...yeah
BH:  -AC

Hajime overhears the voices and warps towards them, "If you're looking for Doc, he's already at the Sex Shack where the mob currently is."

Ryuta merely frowns as he sees the mob forming outside, "Bunches of idiots...."

Ittetsu looks over to Ryuta, "What should we do, Ippongi-sama?"

"Don't stop the competition," Ryuta said, stretching his arm to the side, "I don't care how many people fall for his lousy excuse for surveillance, I've worked hard to make this competition the most epic adventure these people could ask for, and I'll be damned if I'm going to cut it short for the sake of saviing my own ass."

Meanwhile, back at WDS, Hajime grits his teeth in frustration as he watches Roa try to make an enemy out of Ryuta.  This was obviously for the sake of reducing pointless distractions so he can gain more attention from the rest of the city.

He attempts to think of something to draw the mob away from the Sex Shack before the competitors, themselves become infested with the stench of hatred, but is quickly cut off by Ryuta's spirit cutting him off before he could think of a solution, seeming reluctant to want to put his delivery business in danger over some community problem.  Iincreasing the pressure of his grit teeth, Hajime continues to watch the broadcast unfold, seeing just how far Roa was going to go to rile up more of the city into driving Ryuta out of town.

The cometitors who didn't appease Ryuta's taste were already standing in front of the door, waiting for directions on where to go, while the rest of the competitors who did get past the challenge arroved shortly aftewards.

Ryuta once again warps in front of them, as always sitting on the throne with a pomato in his hand.

"There has been a slight change in the challenge," he stated, causing a round of "HUH", from the crowd in front of him, "The PB Helpers have seen the stage we've set up and voted on a few additions that might throw off your game."

He takes a bite out of the pomato before pressing a button on the left armrest, causing the thrusters under the throne legs to burst to life and lift him into the air, "Those of you who have the tickets and mining tools, make your way through the front door and hand your tickets to the bunny girls standing by the stage.  The rest of you go into the tool shed and follow the arrows posted by the PB Helpers."

Everyone does so.  Upon entry, they find banquet table practically taking up the wall at the far end of the room, each with a counter over the top, a white canvas on the side of the table, and four buttons near the edge of different colors, red, blue, white and gray.

"Each of you will take a canvas and draw out your chosen dishes; you are allowed a minimum of three: appitizer, main dish, and drink," Ryuta began, "The PB Helpers who choose your stand may want a little extra for their dishes, so be sure to listen to them carefully; otherwise...." he trails off as he points to the buttons on the table, "They might get a little miffed and press one of those buttons to show their criticism.  The colors are the same as the bombs that I throw, and tailor to the same respinse, with the exception of the whtie button, which the PB Helpers will press if they feel you're taking too long getting their stuff."

He takes another bite out of his pomato, "Oh yes, I forgot to mention.  You have to make your meals on the fly.  You can't store any extra servings in your stations for the next Helper in line because, surprisingly enough, most of them are EXTREMELY picky and may not want a pre-prepared meal that cools or melts by a fraction of a temperature."

He then points towards a coin slot next to the four buttons, "If they like your dishes, they'll insert a token that will raise the counter on the back of your station by one point.  As I've stated before, you will need at least 50 of the PB Helpers' satisfaction to be considered the winner of this round, and be spared the penalty of the next challenge."

He leers as he folds his fingers over one another, "And I assure you this next penalty will push your cooking sanity to the limits and bring out the true Iron Chef within you...."

He looks around the crowd who continues to stand there, staring at him wierdly, "Well?  What're you doing standing around here for?  I said the challenge starts the second you walk in, so get cooking!"
