Roleplay / Re: Wilypocalypse NOW
« on: December 15, 2012, 10:57:52 AM »
Hajime barely made it through the front door when he suddenly jerked his head away and sneezed.  He would think it was because of the dust, but upon sensing WilyII in serious, if not hilarious commotion, he knew the three Berbils had succeeded in at least getting the rest of their village out.  He looks towards one of the five Berbils that followed him inside.

"I think its time you and some of the other well rested Berbils head over to WDS and make sure the captured ones escape safely," he suggested, "I have get back to the truck and make sure my business doesn't go under because of his aggravation."

The Berbils nod as he and another Berbil curled into their ball formation and roll out back towards the village to get some of aide and tools from the other Berbils.  Hajime looks towards the interior of the broken down building before heading back to his truck to wait WilyII's inevitably aggravated call.

The orange Berbil sees all three Robot Masters coming at him and quickly hides the ink-covered ball behind him while turning the gun-like device he had been working on towards them, pulling a trigger that causes an EMP blast to hit all three and send them flying into a pile of scrap, causing explosions from the cores of the robots that were intended to be put back together.

Though regretful of his actions, he knew there was no alternative to sacrifice and quickly makes a run for the exit, hoping to use the device to help the other Berbils blast their way out of the WDS.

Soccer Man, unfortunately, wasn't prepared for an entire flood as the Berbils in the back quickly noticed his presence and began bouncing on their comrades to create a tidal wave of furry balls that crashed down on top of him.  Though they weren't strong enough to knock him down, they at least created enough of a mass to catch him off guard and send him flying onto his back from the monstrous impact.

The Purple Berbil barely leaves the control room when she sees every opening they could escape from slam shut with impenetrable shields and barricades.  She quickly runs back inside and attempts to get the doors open, but once again her trek to free her fellow villagers were met with several more klaxons and random playlist numbers that played one on top of the other.

This would probably take longer than she's willing to put up with.

And the answer came in the form of a dozen balls flooding out of the room, producing a comical effect similar to the nonsensical slapstick humor of stepping on marbles.  If WilyII or Afro haven't fallen over from the bulldozing ambush, the ensuing flood would have most likely knocked them flat on their faces.

Seeing the freed Berbils snap into their ball formation and flee out of the room, the purple Berbil begins to frantically press buttons in an attempt to get the rest of the cages open before WilyII manages to wade his way into the room.  Several klaxons and an opening theme to Fullmetal Alchemist later, the Berbil manages to input a passcode that causes the rest of the cages to open, allowing the rest of the Berbils to jump out of their cages, roll into their balls and tumble out of the R&D Lab, widening the flood and just about making WilyII and Afro get swept down the hallway.

The purple Berbil, deciding this was enough, quickly jumps off the chair and runs out of the control room, attempting to meet up with the rest of the Berbils and escort them out of the building.

Though faint, the orange Berbil hears the door fly open, indicating that one of the two sides have figured out where the ink ball disappeared to and were now searching the area for the whereabouts of their new target.  He starts looking around for a way out before the two noticed the crate and smartly kick it open to see what's inside.

Finding no other means than the front opening, he creaks it back open and looks around to make sure the two haven't caught up before spotting a nearby door adjacent to the one they entered from and making a run towards it, hoping it would be a good enough hiding place to throw the two search bots off and make them look somewhere else.

Hajime watched the group walk into the rickety building before looking towards the Berbils that overheard the conversation.  Despite their lack of facial expression, he can somehow tell they were curious as to how the scenario goes; he, himself, is just as eager to watch what happens inside.

He parks the truck on a nearby sidewalk and sets the alarm, in case the other Berbils were too busy with their own exploration to keep watch, before he and the curious few Berbils followed the group into the building.

The purple Berbil waits until WilyII was out of sight before retracting her swamp lily and curling into her ball formation, rolling into the control room and attempting to bring up the location of PB's imprisonment.  Unfortunately, she wasn't able to figure out the coordinates, and couldn't risk button mashing for fear one of them would cause a ruckus that would bring the insane doctor back.  Unfortunately, because of the way the cages were programmed, she estimated that by the time WilyII showed up, only a third of the Berbils would have freed themselves, while the rest would be trapped in their cages for dissection, leaving her with no alternative but to figure out how to bring back the monitor observing the R&D Lab and the button combinations to get all of the cages open.

After futzing with the keyboard for a few minutes, she manages to bring up the monitor to the R&D Lab; as she predicted, only five cages worth of Berbils had freed themselves, and were waiting for the next to open.  Keeping the console on the R&D Lab, she starts searching for commands or passcodes to open all of the cages at once, or at least disable the program restricting access to one cage at a time.

The orange Berbil stuck his head out of the door to the scrap yard, looking around before noticing a black ball rolling towards down the hallway, leaving more trails of ink in its wake.  Recognizing the shape, and realizing that not only was Medic Man and Buns hot on its trail, but WilyII was rounding the corner, he quickly picks up the ball and quietly shuts the door before either were aware that it had opened in the first place.

Not wanting to spend time shaking the ink off his discombobulated buddy, the orange Berbil clambers back towards the crate he hid in earlier, hoping to hide out a few more minutes until the situation in the hallway gets resolved before mulling over what to do next.

Berbil Jade overhears the musical racket echoing down the hallway.  Though she should stick around and make sure Berbil Joe is okay, she was also curious as to where the music was coming from and leaves the quarantine area to figure out where it's coming from.

"Well, if you can get into one of the buildings, there could be a battle that won't require big robots and a ton of laser fire," Hajime said, almost sounding devious, though the Berbils overhearing the conversation were pretty sure he was intending to direct them somewhere less chivalrous.

With Medic Man gone due to an unintentional distraction by the red-turned-black Berbil, the trapped Berbils began chatting among themselves on how to get out.  It would only be a matter of time before he either lost interest in the chase and come back, or he manages to catch the ink trailing wheel and return to commit the same torture as his last victim.

Now that they were certain that the other Berbils were in good hands, they wanted to bust out of their cages and cause as much of a ruckus as possible before finding their way out of WDS and towards where the escaped villagers went.

They look towards the keypads controlling the locks on their cages.  It was programmed so only one cage can be opened at a time, and all other attempts would have resulted in a loud, irritating noise the other Berbils were in no mood to sit through.  But now that the sadistic medical robot was currently not in the room, they didn't feel worried about having to wait for one of the cages to empty and close before letting someone else open it.

The bottom row quickly began taking turns inputting the password they spent the past few weeks watching Medic Man punch in; each managing to open a cage and clamber out before carefully pushing it shut and allowing the next cage to punch in the same number.

In yet another aimless attempt to get the ink off of him, the ink-covered Berbil accidentally starts rolling into the control room, prompting the purple female Berbil to watch his entrance before turning away and slapping her ventilated hand over her inanimate eyes.

WilyII stopped mid gnawing as he saw the black ball bumble through the room, tumbling circles around his evil swivel chair (somehow), before bumbling around Afro-Shroom, causing his exasperated failing to worsen to the point of running circles at the feeling of cold, wet ink soaking through his pants legs and almost thinking they were poison.

By the time the black wheel left the room, Medic Man came charging into the room while Buns, having paid enough attention to what's in front of her to see the wheel leave the room detracted to continue her solo chase.

"I've got you now, my tasty test subject!~" he squeals as he makes a daring leap towards an unsuspecting doctor and panicking afro'd Toad.

The escapades of the ink-covered Berbil continues as he aimlessly rolls around the hallway, trying to get the stuff out of his face (Though being stuck in wheel formation wasn't helping one bit).  In his insistent obsession to regain his birth color, he accidentally finds himself backtracking straight into the R&D Lab, grabbing Medic Man's attention as he starts rolling in every direction save (somehow) for the two tables containing the mangled and dissected Berbils before eventually finding his way out of the lab (somehow)

"Ooh!~  What's that strange black ball!?~  An ink ball Dr. Wily II hasn't introduced me to!?~  Why am I always the last to know about these things!?~"

He wiggles about gingerly before attempting to chase after the seemingly escaping wheel, "I must catch it and see how it produces those fine, shiny trails of blackness!~"

The orange Berbil stays hidden in the crate, hearing the humanoid junk...thing lumbering about while calling his name.  He looks around for someplace to escape to without making a noise, but considering he left his welding tool back in RoBear Village, there was no way for him to cut his way deeper into the pile of scrap (Plus, he finds it demeaning to be harming such helplessly dismantled robots deserving a second chance at life saving his own...the pile he dumped on the junk thing being no exception).

Thinking he hears the junk figure move far enough out of earshot, he creeks the crate open slightly and peeks out to make sure no one else was around before attempting to sneak out of the crate and search for the door back into the main hallway to rendezvous with the other Berbil and check on their situation.

It didn't take long for them to reach the truck.

"Hey, got a question for ya! Know where any battles we can participate in are goin' on?" Talyn asked.

"You mean other than the one in space?" Hajime asked almost rhetorically.

Hajime notices the group heading towards him, seeming lost most likely as to where the safe place to battle would be.  He decides to wait until they got close before saying anything.  A few of the Berbils were also noticing their approach and stuck around to see what was going on.

(I don't have a problem with it.  Even though Tron has control of him, he's mostly my character)

Berbil Joe continues to mess with the controls, feeling helpless to do nothing and worried he'll be blamed and locked as a traitor to the Resistance.  He can vaguely see Berbil Jade standing outside, begging someone to stop him.  He wanted to say something but all he could muster was a silent flashing of his inanimate lips.

As Hajime, himself, was looking around for something to do, he noticed some people coming out of a nearby Karaoke bar, one of which was in the midst of demonstrating her some impressive stick movements.

Their spirits seem to be high and eager for a sparring battle with each other, prompting more curiosity and interest in how the fight would go.  He stays in his truck and watches from a distance, not wanting to place any bets as the thrill is all he wants to get out of this entertaining show.

The kick knocked the former red Berbil into his wheel formation, barely managing to get the magnet stuck on the fur part as it rolls around the source of aggravation and attempts to tumble out of the kitchen while smearing a trail of ink in his path.

Realizing his efforts may have only made the doctor more suspicious than blunt, the orange Berbil decides to hide in one of the piles to avoid being spotted.  There was a crate sticking out of one of the piles with the door fallen open which he quickly jumps inside and lifts the door shut in the hopes that the doctor doesn't come down and immediately spot the crate as a possible source of investigation.

Hajime arrives in the city, looking around for a good place to let the Berbils explore and get to know everyone.  The Berbils were already fixated on the amount of debris scattered around the city, pondering wanting to pick up and repair it back at home.

Deciding this to be a good opportunity to let them show their creativity, as well as further help the Resistance recover from their blows, he stops the truck and lets them get off to gather the pieces and repair what they can find.  Though this wasn't considered a break, it at least gave them something to do other than repair broken spacecrafts.

The ink covering the once red Berbil covered his eyes, and because he didn't have any pain receptors there he didn't know what was going on or why everything suddenly went black.

He knew he bumped into someone, but couldn't tell if it was the cook or someone else.  He takes one hand off the magnet and begins running his mechanical fingers around her legs, trying to register his presumptions.

The orange Berbil sees a humanoid-shaped scrap pile fly towards him as he was running from where the shield had formed.  Without looking, he grabs a nearby pipe while continuing to sprint towards another pile, causing a jostled ruckus that caused the entire pile buried around it to start falling towards Junk Man.  Hopefully, if the doctor noticed the avalanche, he wouldn't think twice to pin it on the literal junk bot.

(Buns and a sexy maid outfit...why do I get the feeling you're tempting WilyII to sprite a cross between Street Fighter vs. Tekken's version of Roll and Princess Leia...? ::))

The red Berbil pokes his head into the kitchen upon hearing the cook leave to get something.  This was his only chance to rush in, look around and leave with whatever he thinks could disrupt the inner workings of a keypad.

His first stop was to a fridge, oddly resembling the cheap, one door kind from a 50's style kitchen, but with a metallic finish.

Much to his unexpressed surprise, there appears to be at least three magnets glued to the door, two holding what appears to be food orders from WilyII and possibly that Afro person the cook mentioned earlier.  A third, closer to the Berbils grasp, appeared to be some kind of postcard-like magnet with a picture of WilyII towering over the planet and the words "DR. WILY II WANTS YOU TO SURRENDER YOUR FREEDOM" spread through out the top and bottom corners of the magnet.

The red Berbil looks around before grabbing the magnet and rushing out before the cook made her way back.  It would have been faster to escape by wheel, but he doesn't trust the strength of a mere kitchen magnet and frets the possibility of damaging himself if he tried to roll out while carrying it in his mechanical claws.

The orange Berbil, indeed, appeared to have been startled by the sudden circle of junk spinning around him.  But after a few seconds he did something Junk Man may not have expected him to do; he began snatching out the circling junk and mashing them together to form some kind of device.  With enough space open to escape, he quickly scurries off to find another pile, all the while attempting to put some distance between him and whoever tried to entrap him in the circling junk.

The red Berbil eventually comes across a doorway leading to a kitchen of sorts and flips back to his original form while pressing his back against the wall and peeking inside to make sure no one was around.  There appears to be someone running around the kitchen, cooking stuff, making it risky for him to try and sneak in and see if there was at least a fridge with magnets on it (Though considering their under the unsuspecting nose of a robotisist, magnets would have been the last thing he would want to include in his general decor).  He decides to stay hidden outside the kitchen and keep an eye on the lone person (or robot) manning the food while looking for a blind spot to sneak in and look around.

The orange Berbil tumbles his way into an scrap room of sorts; most likely for the robots WilyII was intending to put back together when he has the time and parts.  This explains why he rarely calls Hajime unless he needed parts he couldn't salvage on his own.

Thinking this would be a good place to look for something to short-circuit the cages holding the other Berbils, he flips to his original form and trots to every pile he comes across, digging through them for parts he can use to build something long-range and disruptive to simple-minded programs, all the while keeping a look out for any cameras that might spot him digging through WilyII's "trash".

After a few minutes, the brown Berbil returns with about half of the village forming around him.

"Is that all of them?" he asked.

"Other Berbils wish to stay and monitor progress with Resistance, and finish repairs on anymore Arwings collected so far," the brown Berbil said, "The rest have done their work for the time being and wish to join us for a trip into the city."

Hajime nods in understanding before looking towards the carts lined up behind his truck, "Well, there's plenty of room for you to fit into.  And it doesn't look like I'll need to add another cart.  So go ahead and hop in."

The Berbils chatter with excitement as they began clambering towards the cart and climbing in.  Once loaded and situated, Hajime starts up the truck and drives off towards the city, hoping not to run into any problems along the way.

(Well, just a bit of a warning if you ever run into Hajime or other members of Blazkrieg, depending on when I decide to involve them, and want to dictate their actions, their sixth sense focuses more on the color, size and sensation of emotions and are based on four primary emotions often identified by those who gain the ability under their tutelage.

You can skip to the part where it talks about Spirit Reading, but for an abridged version, the four emotions are red for rage, blue for sorrow, white for innocence, and black of slyness.  There are combinations of the four (for example, Ego is a dark red that invokes irritation, but trust, Love is light purple that invokes intrigues, and sometimes envy, Creativity is hot pink that invokes curiosity, but weariness, Cunning is gray that invokes unease, but confidence, and Injustice is crimson red that invokes distrust, as well as fear), but the most dangerous is Insanity, which is a pitch black entity that occasionally spits out sparks of other emotions and can induce migraines or even death if stared at for more than a few minutes.

A living person has two types of emotional areas, the heart (which reacts to whatever the person sees or hears), and the mind (which identifies and dictates what is currently going through one's head).  A calm person will often have a single emotion no bigger than the size of their heart and mind, but an irrational person will be off balanced, their mind detracting from the heart, which in turn causes the heart to slip into another direction.  The more the person fixate on the thing that triggers their emotions, the larger their spiritual flame becomes until it full envelopes them, indicating their blindness to everything but what is provoking their emotions until someone snaps them out of it by any means necessary.

That's about it for the time being.  I might add more either IC or by editing this post.)

The orange Berbil, clearly upset by what he was seeing, moves to intervene but a quick glance towards the red Berbil changes his mind.  Charging in now when they don't have a motive or means of attack will only dash the remaining morality the remaining Berbils have of escaping en mass.  They have to wait a little longer before attempting their own siege with the new found hope of seeking refuge away from the greedy hands of Dr. Wily II.

Taking another look at the Berbil's confinement, their confinements have been bolted to the wall with nothing but a keypads serving as their only means of freedom.  They knew the password to open all of them, but it was programmed in such a way that when one door opens, the other keypads immediately shut down, preventing others from opening their cages and escaping.  Truly this man's thought of everything.

However, they knew the doctor won't be satisfied with just one Berbil dissection; as evident to the broken mess on the table.  If there was something that would trigger all the cages to open, like an emergency evacuation (Though if the doctor was smart enough to program to cages to only open one at at a time, he must have also installed emergency teleporters to send the Berbils somewhere else until the emergency has passed) or an open all pass code that works on every cage, or perhaps a minor, but effective shock of electricity (probably electromagnetic) that would confuse the programming and cause all the cages to fly open.

The red and orange Berbils continue to flash their mouths before the orange reluctantly retreats into his ball and rolls away to find something that will trigger the malfunction.

The furry ball flips back into Berbil formation as Jade looks towards the newcomer, then the door he appears to be heading towards.  Without contemplating the situation she turns her attention back to the male robot.

"Help Berbil Joe," she said, though not sounding pleading but the implications were there, "Berbil Joe manipulated against his will; Berbil Joe cannot stop himself.  Please be gentle."

(For now, unless an idea comes bashing me in the head, I'll leave Berbil Joe's situation to Tron.  I tend to be a bit hesitant when using other people's characters for battling purposes, even when I study their abilities and limitations word for word.  Though in the case of Berbil stamina, a simple bonk to the head should be enough to take him down)

The purple Berbil stops near the doorway of the control room, rotating sideways and uncurling into her original structure with her back against the wall.  She carefully grasps the bulb of her swamp lily and pulls out an adjustable wire, setting the lily end towards the corner of the doorway while moving towards the nearest corner of the hallway, extending and arranging the wire along the way.  Once within the shadows of the corner, she stares into the eyepiece, watching from a camera built into the swamp lily to see when WilyII was going to check up on PB, and what button combinations he might press to bring up the monitor.

The red and orange Berbil eventually arrive at the entrance to the R&D Lab.  They flank the doorway and peak inside to make sure it was the right room, and that there was no one inside.

They can see cages and cages of Berbil lined up against the wall, but unfortunately, they weren't alone as Medic Man was inside, struggling to dissect another helpless Berbil.

"Oh!~ Please stop squirming!~" he insists, "I only want to open you up and see how you tick!~  C'mon!~  You don't wanna end up like that other bear robot I broke, do you?~"

Both red and orange Berbils looked towards another table in the room to find Medic Man's last research victim broken into several pieces, most likely from the amount of struggling it did against Medic Man's more powerful might.  They look towards each other, flashing their mouths, but making no sounds before the red Berbil looks towards the palm of his hand, reminding himself of the device the other Berbils wired into each of the three that will alert them if something were to happen to either of them.

Hajime heads back to Robear Village to inform them of the situation.  The brown Berbil was the only one outside while everyone else has either returned home or were busy fixing the Mets he brought back earlier.

"Dragon Rider successful?" he asked.

"For now anyway," Hajime sighs, "All we have to do is wait for their signal and we'll know if they've made it out safely with at least the Berbils that didn't escape during the siege." he then looks back towards the brown Berbil, "What about you?"

"Berbil Joe in danger," the brown Berbil said, sounding remorseful, "Second Arwing launched without test flight.  Berbil Jade volunteered to fly to Resistance Base and rescue Berbil Joe."

Hajime compresses his lips in pity, knowing how much the Berbils care about each other more than anything else around them, "Well, hopefully that mission goes a lot more smoothly than earlier."

He then looks towards the city, "Anyway, I'm going to head into the city for a while and take a break from all this back and forth espionage.  I can only tolerate so much before my own senses go haywire."

"Berbils come along?" the brown Berbil asked, "Berbils never leave village since escape.  If Berbils are stuck here permanently, Berbils like to explore other areas of this planet and accustom to other inhabitants."

"Right now?" Hajime asked, "I thought you'd wait until this war was over before trying that."

"Some Berbils becoming restless.  Berbils like making friends and expanding defense against Dr. Wily II."

Hajime sighs again, feeling unsure about the situation, but knows they can't just stay familiar with the piles of junk they were forced to call a settlement.

"Alright then.  If you feel confident venturing into unfamiliar territory at this point in the war," he said, "Just let me know how many are coming along and I'll see how many carts to add to the truck."

The brown Berbil nods as he heads off to round up the restless Berbils for a much needed field trip.

The three Berbils watch as WilyII and that futuristic-looking robot head for the hanger exit before turning towards each other and huddling.  They chittered for a few minutes before nodding and springing towards the exit, snapping into their ball formation to avoid as much noise as possible.

The female Berbil follows after WilyII while the other two roll off towards the R&D Lab where the other Berbils were being held for dissection.

Berbil Jade notices all the windows opening in the SexStation, immediately becoming aware that it was Berbil Joe's unwillful doing.  She turns to enter the docking bay when she notices someone flying out of one of the windows and tumbling through the vastness of space.  Thinking it was human, she turns her damaged Arwing around and flies towards the person, opening her hatch along to way to get rid of the planetary oxygen that built up while back in RPM's planet.

Once close to the human-shaped object, she reaches out and grabs her remaining arm, then yanks her into the cockpit.  She prepares to examine the person when she quickly sees another one about to come flying out the window with her.  Not having enough time, and knowing that it would be pointless now to return a newly damaged Arwing, she decides to try and activate its mech formation which the Berbils conceived while watching a Let's Play of Star Fox 2.

Pressing a button, the wings snap downward and form legs while she uses the last of the thruster's engine to propel the Arwing towards the window pulling the other person out.  The legs banged into the sill, causing it topple over, barely missing the unconscious person by a few feet, and crashes into a nearby wall with the cockpit thankfully facing the window.

Jade quickly jumps out and grabs the unconscious person, throwing him into the cockpit before shutting the hatch to activate the Arwing's air filtering function, allowing them to breathe and recuperate while she dives into her ball formation and rolls off in search of the control room where she thinks Berbil Joe is located.

Berbil Joe struggled hard to warn Akai that he wasn't himself.  His mouth begins to flash erratically, as if he was trying to say something but something was preventing the audio clips from coming out.  Adding to his sudden and odd behavior, his entire structure jostles and jerks about, making Akai nervous and confused by this strange sight.

The objective continues to rattle in his head like a broken record: DESTROY STATION DESTROY EVERYTHING DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY

Unwilling to let Akai be his first victim, Joe immediately snaps into his ball formation and plows through her legs, barely avoiding tripping her by a few inches.  He can only hope she doesn't take offense to it and come to hate him for something he couldn't control with all his might.

Hajime just stares back at the new arrival, not wanting to do anything that would give the doctor more chances to outweigh his debt.

It was hard to make out this person from the naked eye alone, but the lack of organic soul, indicates that he is a full metal robot made of material that was clearly out of everyone's understanding.
