Roleplay / Re: RPM Magical DASH

"According to those who have witnessed the event, an unknown citizen gathered the seven Yashichi and summoned Dragon Sky in an attempt to open portal to the land of Mega Man Legends," one of the Berbils answered, "But RPM citizen mis-phrased the wish, causing Dragon Sky to merge the worlds into one."

"Dragon Sky did not appear to be happy with being summoned for such a pointless wish and refused to wait for RPM citizen to correct his wish," another Berbil continues, "But Dragon Sky chose a bad time to depart when Glyde Family showed up, overheard his ability to grant wishes, and used their radar to hunt down and gather the seven Yashichi.  Once Glyde Family summoned Dragon Sky, Glyde Family tricked him into wishing away Dragon Sky's memories, turning Dragon Sky into mindless beast that obeys only Glyde Family."

"According to current observation, other RPM citizens are unaware of what has happened, and have chosen to survive anyway they can," the third Berbil finalizes, "But those who have witnessed it worry that there may be a side effect to making Dragon Sky grant wishes without frequent breaks, and have gone off to figure out a way to free him from Glyde Family's clutches and reverse the amnesia they have tricked Dragon Sky into granting upon himself."

The Berbils wait until Tai got onto the boat before the one sorting it jerks the wheel into a spin, causing it to turn around while making its way to the Game Vented.

*Tai swims aimlessly around the area where the cafe should be*

"Guuuuuuuys, is there even anyone left that is not drowning?" he said hoping to find more people.

As if answering his question, another tugboat puts by with at least three Berbils manning its course.  One noticed Taiyo swimming around, looking ready to tire out and looks to the other two while chittering a language he most likely wouldn't understand.

The two look to each other, chittering the same language before nodding and turning the tugboat towards Taiyo's location.

"Hop in," one of them chirped, "The Game Center is not far from here.  Berbils drive you there if straggler wishes."

(Well, I'm not rushing or anything.  The first act is mainly introductory; see how many join the RP before pushing on.  The second act, assuming this RP survives, will reveal more about what's been happening and what other solutions could be made to save Dragon Sky and the rest of RPM City)

(It would, but considering the Glyde Family has Dragon Sky as their mindless slave, and the fret of what would happen if they were to continue abusing his wish granting abilities, I would think the main priority for those who were aware of the merge focus on getting Dragon Sky back before figuring out whether to get Trigger off the planet, or separate the two worlds before some bigger disaster worsens the situation.

There are a couple of solutions I posted at the beginning of the thread; you can either find the Glyde Family and figure out a way to return Dragon Sky to his grumpy old self, hunt for money to keep yourselves alive, or look for the Hierophant, who was rumored to be the only card from Tarot Cat's deck who hasn't made an appearance since the 21 towers have been constructed, and figure out what the deal is with the tower and what purpose they might serve in returning the city back to normal)

(Reposting for the tl;rl that may have missed it earlier :P)

Off in the distance is a small tugboat with an orange Berbil standing before the wheel.  It appears to be looking around for something.

Just then, five Berbils popped out of the water around the tugboat, all chittering in their own language while piling on some metallic junk they seemingly dug up from the bottom of the ocean.

(I'll have a half-assed pic up soon, but basically, only the tallest buildings, or buildings that aren't rooted to the ground, can still be seen within the body of water, plus the ruins and towns from the MML Universe)

With so many shutters Medic Man was going to open, Chariot figured it would take him a while to even find out that he was hiding in one of the rooms at the bottom of the tank and decides to use this moment to keep resting until he eventually decides to jump into the tanks and start searching each of the entrances for his whereabouts.

(Something like that, although maybe I should lower it to just barely touching the peak of the Ping Pong Pagoda, that way, there would be more than just the WDS that survived total submersion...or not '>.>)

What happened if the world of RPM tried to help rescue Megaman Vollnut from the moon?  Someone decided to figure that out.

No one knows who came up with the idea, but for whatever reason, the seven Yashichi were gathered and the Dragon Sky was summoned.  But instead of doing the smart thing by wishing Capcom to grow a braincell and revive the cancelled series, they chose to open a portal to the mostly flooded world of Mega Man Legends, hoping to use their technology and magic to help his friends build the rocket and get him off the moon.

The reason seemed simple, no matter how many hopes and dreams it took, the Dragon Sky cannot generate enough power to make the brain dead management division of Capcom change their minds about their previous business decisions.  So if anything, they can at least feel satisfied helping the cast build the rocket needed to get Mega Man Vollnut off the moon and back to happily digging Refractor Crystals with his family and friends.

Unfortunately, there was a botch in the relaying that wish to Dragon Sky, causing the worlds to merge instead of simply opening the portal to the Mega Man Legends universe.  Before they could get the Dragon Sky to rectify the problem, the Glyde Family somehow overheard his ability to grand wishes and tricked him into wishing away his memories, turning him into a mindless pet who only obeys their every whim.

Now RPM is flooded with only the tallest buildings acting as artificial land for those trying to survive and figure out a way to reverse this problem.  Those who didn't have the income or materials needed to retreat to space to seek shelter and food from the many stations floating around RPM struggle to survive either digging up Refractor Crystals from the ruins that have also crossed over from the Legends universe, joining the forces of good to hunt down the Glyde Family and rescue Dragon Sky from their greedy clutches, or working to rectify the problem themselves through what technology they can fish out of the water and repair the damage caused by their submersion.

A week into the fiasco, rumors began spreading that the RoBear inhabitants have been busy building 21 temples high enough for all to see.  Those who have snuck into these temples, however, only found candy fruit, leading them to think the Berbils were catering to their needs by providing enough food to last them until one of the three solutions could be reached.

But some claim that they can see Tarot Cat's animated cards, fully materialized and hiding in the shadows, overlooking the Berbil's work, raising more questions as to what was going on and if this was going to be another solution to saving their city and Dragon Sky.  Those who got too close were immediately chased out by the Reverbots that have mysteriously found their way into the temple.

Some who were familiar with Tarot Cat's existence quickly became aware that one of the cards is missing from the temples: The Hierophant; the priest who is supposedly in charge of knowing and sharing the full details of their origin.

Those who either have nothing better to do, or have no way of joining those who have sought their own means of surviving and saving their city, quickly chose to pursue the missing card and get the information out of him before the Glyde Family or some other greedy numbnuts catch onto the rumor and decide to pursue the chase themselves with much worse results than what the more faithful members had in mind.

Will you be the one to find the card and uncover the secrets he may be holding, or will you help rescue the Dragon Sky and return him to the grumpy MacGuffin we know and love?  Or would you rather be a neutral and find your own means of surviving and/or saving the city from a doom waiting to happen.  The choice is yours! owob

Despite the density of the water around him, and the deafening blare of the alarms, Chariot can clearly hear Medic Man limping about, "cheerfully" calling out for him.  He didn't want to move at all, but knows it would only be a matter of time before he eventually notices the shutters and figure out a way to open them.

Scanning the immediate area around him, he tones there are several doors of various sizes littering the walls surrounding the large windows most likely meant to observe the marine robots that are now hiding from the manic Medic Man.  Any one of these doors could contain a robot waiting for Medic Man to leave before coming back out to continue swimming about.

Chariot huff's another cloud of bubbles before pulling the lion visors down and scanning around for any openings that weren't blocked by any robots.  There appeared to be only one opening near the windows, most likely to sick out any robots that were destroyed during experimentation.

Deciding not to take any chances he looks towards the windows, seeing that the security bots had disappeared, most likely to try and calm Medic Man down (hopefully), before crawling through the doorway and collapsing back onto hos stomach to continue resting from his ordeals.

Hearing Medic Man's sadistic call, Chariot quickly noticed he was still bleeding and leaving trails of ruby blood in the process.  Worried that his trip to the scrap yard while Medic Man was still out of control would have tempted him to start going after the Berbils to satiate his lust for dissection, he dives around the corner to another hallway, unavoidably dragging Temperance with him as he tries to find another place to hide and wear Medic Man out (if that was even possible).

Thankfully, despite being in just as worse shape as Medic Man, Chariot was still able to out-limp him, putting enough distance between them to figure out some way of hiding Temperance without him noticing and going after her first while her jostled mentality continues to right itself.  He soon comes across a broom closet, first stopping to ponder why an evil robotisist with the I.Q. of Dr. Eggman would even need a broom closet, before quickly putting it out of his mind, throwing the door open and shoving Temperance in.  He then grabs a short-handed broom and sweeps away any ruby blood that scattered around the door before slamming it shut and continuing down the hallway just as Medic Man was showing up, blissfully too focused on the trail in front of him to notice anything happening before his arrival.

With Temperance no longer holding him down, Chariot was able to limp faster than one usually would after getting pumped and stabbed in the legs.  It didn't take long before he eventually sees an open door at the far end of the hallway with a two-way split down separate sets of hallways.  Desperate to stall Medic Man and give himself some time to recollect his stamina and energy, he rushes into the room, slams the door shut while grabbing another spear from the unexplained space under his cape and jamming it into a slanted angle with the back end pressed against the door.

Unfortunately, he was too focused on the door he just shut to take a proper look at the room, and as he was backing away to make sure Medic Man didn't pick up the pace, his foot suddenly falls through what he thought was the floor until he turned around and saw that he had just fallen into a lake-size tank of water.  By the time the realization registered, he had sunk deep enough to realize this tank, not only had very large windows exposing him to a bunch of Dark Man-like security bots, but an obstacle course full of aquamarine robots most likely dumped there to test their mobilities underwater.

He scrambles back to the surface, though not as high as he normally had the strength for, and quickly notices the stenciled writing over the door: "Aquamarine Lab".

"Whoever invented chivalry really needs to rethink their concept," he half-gargles.

He suddenly feels a flurry of bubbles riding up his back and slowly turns around to find a half dozen marine robots floating just a few inches from the surface, looking ready to attack with whatever weapons were crammed into their systems.  But just as he was about to figure out how to get past this situation, the needle end of a stinger breaks through the door as nanites began eating away at it, allowing a very maniacally happy Medic Man to poke his head into the room.

"HEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE'S MEDIC~!!!!"

At this, the entire fleet's eyes widen in horror.

"OH NOZ!!!  IT'S THE RED TEXT!!! RUNZ!!!!"

In a split second, the fleet had vanished, leaving nothing but a smokescreen of bubbles in their wake.  Just as quickly, the alarms went off as the doors shutting off access to the tank begin to slide shut.

Not want to be decapitated by the fast moving shutters, Chariot yanks his head under the surface, barely missing by the tip of his helmet blade.  Thinking it was designed to withstand Medic Man's intrusion, he lets out a cloud of bubbles and lets the near heavy weight of his armor pull him to the bottom of the tank, laying him flat on his stomach as he hopes this time to get some much needed rest and regain his stamina.  Being a digital entity, he has no worries about running out of air, or needing air for that matter, nor did he need to worry about his armor rusting from being in the water too long.

Seeing the door begin to close, Chariot scrambles back onto his feet, wincing in near crippling pain, grabs Temperance by her wings, and flings her out the door before diving rolling out himself, barely making it back into the hallway before it slammed shut.

Once he regained enough of energy to shake the nerves back into his aching body, he looked to where he tossed Temperance to find her sitting limp against the wall, out cold most likely from the surprise of being grabbed and thrown out.

As he was about to sigh in exasperation of having to carry her out of the WDS, he hears Medic Man from the other side of the room.

"Oh dear!~  I broke the console!~" he moans before hearing a shwing noise, "No worries!~  I'll fix you right now!~"

Chariot's face turned white as a sheet as the oddly grotesque sound of Medic Man's "special touch" rings through his ears.  Not wanting to stick around and wait for his energy to come back, he staggers to his feet, hauls Temperance onto his shoulders and makes a harrowing attempt to flee back towards the scrap yard in a vain attempt to hide there and recover, failing to remember he was still bleeding as each step kicked away a small drop of fast drying, ruby-like shards, leaving a near unmissable trail in his wake.

Temperance stared at the disintegrating apple, then back to Medic Man and the five incoming Stingers before Chariot suddenly gets between them and tackles her out of the way, missing two of the stingers and catching the other three in his legs and back, narrowly missing the card sowed onto his cape.

Temperance continues to stare at Chariot as he grabs the blade on his helmet and slice them against the needles to cut them from the syringe before the same chemicals that melted the apple start to flow through his materialized body before huffing and turning her attention back to Medic Man.

"Honestly, Danny!  You have a strange way of making friends!" she fumes before turning the open ends of her jugs towards Medic Man and unleashing a geyser of scolding hot water in his direction.  If Chariot wasn't busy picking the needles out of his legs, each of which were covered in a strange, ruby-like liquid, he would have facepalmed at her obliviousness.

Erika eventually returns to the hanger, finding the door torched open and both Sun and Lovers no longer inside.  She pulls Leo up from under the card.

"Do you smell them anywhere?" she asked.

Leo pokes his head out of the card, sniffing around before roaring and flying off towards the Bridge of Evil leading them to what appeared to be an old ruined lab.

"Are you sure they're there!?" she asked nervously, "This doesn't look like a place Rini and Sun would be hiding in."

Leo stops and looks towards her as if trying to ask if she was a moron.  Sighing, she drops onto his head, "I suppose your right.  Even with our indestructible frames, we'd still have to suffer the heat from the ozone layer and figure out where that broken Star is...."

Leo mumbles what passes for a lion's purr before continuing down the bridge in the direction he sniffed the two cards heading in.

It felt like a few hours had passed before the Robot Masters were able to gather all of the pieces to the Wily Star II.  All they needed to do now was wait for Bin Man to come back with the smaller pieces that had drifted far from the stray.

Not wanting to wait that long, Hajime looks over to World, "We need to hurry this up.  Send Strength, Hermit, and Magician with Broom Man and Mop Man to help pick up the pieces."

"Bout time!" Strength grumbles as he flies out of the deck, "I was getting bored just sitting here, doing nothing!"

"Bored, or just plain upset because your daughter decided to play detective?" Magician huffs before flying out after him, "Admit it!  You're upset that you didn't keep an eye on her when you had the chance."

"Say that again, pretty boy!"

The two faced each other and popped out of their cards, growling as sparks flew out of their eyes and collided until World loudly clears her throat.

"If you two don't want to see how well I can wrap you in duct tape, I suggest you put your petty squabbles aside and do as your told."

Both card turned to face her before sighing in reluctance and hanging their heads in defeat while Hermit quickly pops out of the deck to join them.  World smiles cutely as any person with a cat for a head would smile.

"That's better!"

She then places her fingers at the side of her head and fires a beam from her third eye, causing the cards to flash a flurry of colors before exploding into a colorful cloud, clearing away quickly to reveal the trio in their original sizes with their cards plastered on their backs.

Broom Man and Mop Man float past them, looking just as lamenting as everyone else.

"C'mon," Broom Man sighs.

"Let's get this over with...." Mop Man moans.  The three cards look to each other before slugging off after them.

Chariot struggled to stay standing, staring at Medic Man with one eye while the other was squeezed shut in a vain attempt to preserve as much stamina as his agonized body can handle.  There was no way he can get past this maniacal repair unit in the state he was in, and if he destroys this robot, it would add another free favor Hajime adamantly proclaimed he didn't want to do during a civil war.

Before he could think of a solution to this problem, a cheerful voice calls out from behind Medic Man.

"I found an apple, Danny!"

Chariot's face suddenly loses color as he sees Temperance waltz into the room with the large, red apple she fished out of the kitchen.

"Though I have to say, I'm surprised you even asked for an apple," she starts to ramble on, still looking half-conscious from her yearn for sleep, "I thought we cards couldn't eat food."

Chariot nervously shakes his head, making short, unrecognizable gestures for Temperance to shut up and run.  Unfortunately, her focus quickly dropped to Medic Man who appears to be catching on to her voice.

"Oh!  I get it!  It's for your new friend, isn't it?"

She holds out the apple towards Medic Man as he begins to turn towards her general direction, "Here you go!  I was about to say, I thought I was the only card in the deck who's slow to remember everything!"

The difference I see is that the PS2 version has a demo of Mega Man X8, plus if you have Command Mission's save file on the same memory card, you can unlock a bonus fight with Cut Man near the end of Optic Sunflower's stage.

The GameCube version, from what I've seen and heard, has faster frame rate, plus you can use your GBA to dig up tokens for an exclusive set of action figures.

While Afro and Bunz were greeting each other, they failed to notice Temperance skulking half-consciously into the kitchen and dig around every cabinet, fridge, before pulling a large, red apple from a nearby fruit bowl into the open ends of her two jugs and skulking back out, failing to close everything in her supposed rampage.

Chariot's grit teeth widen at the sight of the Stinger drawing dangerously close to stabbing the first thing Medic Man laid his eyes on.  Unwilling to be ripped open and suffer more pain than he was already in from his fight with Pixel Man, and seeing the auto-repair functions almost fuse the maniacal medic robot with the base of the spear, he musters the strength to push his one trusted weapon far enough away from him to lift Medic Man up, freeing enough of his legs to squeeze up and kick the rest of the robot away from him.

However, in doing so, a jarring sense of pain riddled through his legs from the souls of his feet to the top of his knees, adding to the amount of agony he was already in.  Struggling even harder to put the new pain aside, he scrambles to get up and make a beeline for the door only to slip on a puddle created by his still drenched cape and falling flat on his face while his cape fling completely over and buried his head in its 4ft fabric.  This crash seemed to have pushed his endurance to its limit as he struggles to get back up, trembling in the near crippling sensation of pain while shaking the cape to the side of his neck and continuing his now daunting trek for the R&D Lab exit.

Chariot grits his teeth as the maniacal medical robot eventually gets smart and leaps over the maintenance table, falling squarely towards him with his oversize syringe poised to strike.  Panicked, he scrambles to grab the blade atop his helmet, but in his fluster accidentally reaches too far behind him and instead grabs another spear from the unexplained space under his cape, stabbing Medic Man in the stomach.

Unfortunately, his momentous leap and robot weight pushed the spear against Chariot's average strength, causing him to fall flat on his back as the impaled body slowly begins to slide down its pole until it practically laid on top of him.  Fountains of sweat drizzled down his face as Medic Man stares maniacally into his digital soul, his yearning grin widening at the thought of filling him full of nanites.

Chariot tries to sport a friendly smile, "Anyone got an apple?"

He suddenly yelps and yanks his head away as the needle end of the Medical Stinger almost clips the left bolt keeping the visor on the rest of his helmet, causing the lion-headed decoration to freak out at how close the medical weapon came from chipping its metal.

"C'mon!~" Medic Man seethed happily as he raised his Medical Stinger, "Just keep still~ and you won't feel a thing!~ I promise!~"

Erika pulls herself up from the card, which had been flung out of the way during Chariot's scramble to grab his weapons, landing face-side up, looking groggy and slightly dazed before the side of a medical needle slams down dangerously close to the foot end of her card.  Startled, she yanks an equally startled Leo out and clings to him while the card leaps off the ground, revealing the source its appearance stabbed on the right side of Chariot's head as he had jerked it to the other side to avoid damaging more than just his helmet.

Chariot snaps his eyes towards Erika, then Medic Man, who appears to still be staring straight at him while raising his Stinger for another jab, before turning his attention back to the younger Strength while mouthing for her to get out.  The two once again get into a silent fight before Erika muffles a reluctant groan while throttling her fists in frustration and makes a beeline for the doorway.

It took a while, but the sealed gate eventually disintegrates, revealing an opening to the outside of WDS.  Lovers squeals as she flutters outside, giggling happily while hugging Giuseppe.

"Wee!  We're fwee!  We're fwee!"

Sun quickly rushes outside, babbling hastily while trying to pull Lovers back inside.

"I know we're sappose to wait for Danny and de oders, but I haven't seen da light in so long!  I just wanted to come out here the second you opened that door!"

She then floats off, "C'mon!  Let's go pway hide an' seek while we wait!"

Sun muffles a infant moan, shaking nervously before flying off after Lovers, not wanting to leave her to the fate of some masochistic robot raring to attack the first thing it saw.
