Well after this breather I have another crisis in mind. We'll get to it eventually. Haha, i think Wily will like it!  8D

Would that be happening before or after the Wily Star II is repaired?  Not that I don't mind Hajime finishing repairs without interruption, but I'm pretty sure Wily II would want him to at least run tests to make sure it can still strike fear into whoever ends up on its radar. [eyebrow]

I'm pretty much stuck for progression.  Most of my characters are either keeping watch on the shenanigans going on between Hierophant and Emperor or still working on the Wily Star II.

There's still Berbil Jade and Joe, but I'm still racking my brain as to where to start their misadventures (Not helped the least by the fact I'm currently busy working on character models for a college midterm o-O)

I'll probably think of something once I clear out some of these college assignments, but for the time being, all I can do is focus on the characters that are doing something mildly important.

With the group gone, Hierophant and Death hurried into the control room to find Emperor nowhere in sight.

"Well, that's just typical," Death snorts, though not the slightest bit irritated by this predictability, "For someone who only sits in the background and barks commands, he sure does know how to find places to hide even if there's only two possible places a card his structure could hide."

Hierophant slowly pans his staff around the room until he found a card-shaped glow wedged under the crack.  He rushes over and ducks below the button-strewn table to see two inches of Emperor's card just about to disappear from sight.  Not wanting to let him stick around and risk eventually getting caught, he flings his hand out and grabs what remained of the fleeing card, struggling to haul him out from the crack.

"Let go of me, you mutinous cur!" Emperor shouts while fighting to break free of Hierophant's grip.

"How much information are you trying to get out of this guy!?" Hierophant grunts as he continues to pull at Emperor's card,  "Don't you think the fight in St. Acidburg is enough!?"

"Nonsense!  Why settle for one situation when I can gather so much more!?  I'll stay here until one side wins if I have to as long as I get everything I need to be a better ruler than even the original origin of this card!"

"Not that I should care about the daily life of a frustrated overlord, but is the old man so important to you that you couldn't find someone just as dastardly and authoritative to gather information from?" Death mutters.

"I can name millions of them, but he's the only one actually TRYING to make a difference in this world, so I'll stick with him as my unattentive teacher!"

"Maybe when we're not in a situation that would jeopardize our main purpose for being this sparse and separated, you can spy on all the evildoers you lay your eyes on!" Hierophant grunt as he musters some of his energy into one final jerk.  But just as he had gotten the card out of the crack a sharp pain shoot through his throat, forcing him to let go of Emperor and grab the source only to feel the same sharp pain stab into the palm of his unarmed hand, followed quickly by trickles of a familiar liquid trailing down both agonizing points.

Holding his staff towards himself, he finds a small, thin gash oozing citrine colored liquid with nearly a fountain spilling out of a small, six-point shuriken stabbed into the very center of his throat.

"You'd better stop that bleeding before the great doctor returns!" Emperor snickers while retracting the hand he used to throw the shuriken, "If he discovers a single shard of dry Pentacle blood, he might send his robots to hunt you down!"

He then dives back under the crack below the console just as Hierophant recovered enough of his startled senses to dive back after him.  The oil-soaked priest muffles a frustrated groan while furrowing his eyebrows in exasperation before ripping the shuriken out and using his staff to seal the wound caused by its penetration.

"If it wasn't for the fact that he has just as much importance to Tarot Cat's functionality, I'd suggest just leaving him there to be dissected by the old bat," Death sighs while scratching her large, purple hair.

Hierophant crawls out from under the table and plops down on WilyII's evil spinning chair, clutching the staff with his dried, citrine hand and pointing it towards the console while concentrating just enough on the orb to power up the console.  Once all the systems rebooted and the main monitor springs to life, he uses his dominant left hand to search through the computer for a command to life the entire console and get Emperor out.

"Don't you think the doc will notice that his main computer is being charged up and used without his permission?" Death asked nonchalantly.

"If there's an instant teleportation command built into it, I'll activate it before he gets back here," Hierophant said, "Right now we need to get Emperor out of there before he ends up doing more than regretting his stubborn antics!"

Seeing RMZX coming around, Berbil Jade pulls the smelling salt away and corks it before both Berbils hop off the table and head out of the sickbay, deciding to leave him alone to recuperate from whatever happened to him earlier.

Once outside, they turn to each other and chittered in their own language before splitting off to find and check on the rest of the Resistance.

(Okay)

Berbil Jade noticed that Joe was taking a long time coming back, plus she couldn't help but feel the two may need some time alone and decides to leave and find the companion she left the village to rescue.

It didn't take long before she sees him heading for the second Sickbay with an unconscious RMZX hauled over his head.  She rushes over and helps her Berbil companion carry him into the bay and onto one of the many beds in the area.

"Find smelling salt," Joe said, "Smelling salt wakes Grumpy Boy faster."

Jade nods as she leaps off the table and digs around the cabinets until she pulls out a shot-size bottle with a wooden cork wedged into the lid which she pulls off to release a small, but not spreading ribbon of off-putting odor.  Not wanting to draw anymore attention from outside, she takes the bottle back to RMZX and holds it under his nose, waiting to see how he reacts to the smell.

Despite acknowledging RMZX's physical state, Berbil Joe decides it was best not to leave him like this.  He first jumps onto the chair, studying the consoles before pressing the button that was causing the blaring beeps, then jumps back down to where RMZX is and lifts him over his cylinder-shaped head, carting him back towards sick bay in the hopes that they have smelling salt he could use to wake the poor sap up with.

and Wilypocalypse is pretty much Busy World if it was written far better, had side characters and one-shots completely removed, and retrofitted with a completely new storyline.

Actually, I'd call Wilypocalypse a plot-driven RP with padding thrown here and there to keep it from being forgotten. ;) No offense

I've also been contemplating on a different RP involving treasure hunting, but too much focus on college classes and midterms is currently keeping me from trying to balance humor with serious plot developments. :P

(Should clarify, its a... constant beep. Its still going.)

(Fixed)

Paint-It Man and Fix-It Man study the blueprints while wandering the disassembled hallways of the ruined Wily Star II.

"So, where do you think we should start first?" Paint-It Man asked.

"Let's see...." Fix-It Man mutters, "In order to ensure all electronics are back up and running without complications, our first task is to reassemble the outer walls of the Star, then work our way inwards and let Dr. Wily II's friends take care of the reassembling of the computers and their programming."

"Alright!  Let's get started then before Dr. Wily II gets impatient and have us disbanded from his army!"

Fix-It Man nods as he heads off to use his Fix-It abilities to reassemble the walls drifting near the rest of the wreckage picked up by Hajime's Robot Masters.

The Berbils heard the loud, blaring beeps while in the middle of switching out the warm towel for another cold, wet one.  They look to each other before Joe jumps off and heads off towards the comm deck to see what was going on and if he should do something about it.

When he gets there, he stands at the entrance, tilting his head to the side in what passes for confusion as he finds RMZX laying on the floor near the computer console that seemed to have been the cause of the minor ruckus.

After a few seconds of mulling, he trots over to the conked out person and starts poking him with his stick-like, robotic claw to see if he was still alive.

Seeing the trio making their way towards the exit of the command room, Hierophant starts to move down the hallway he hid behind, keeping watch of the movements to make sure he was heading in the opposite direction of corner they would be turning to to get to the nearest stairwell.  Death continues to follow after him, once again having nothing better to do, and not having the full potential to at least give the old man something to soil his pants with.  Plus, despite the pure enjoyment of the dark sensation billowing from the object uncovered by Hierophant's staff, she knew it was best not to attempt something she would later regret.

The winding hallway was a lot longer than he originally thought, most likely due to the amount of room needed to house all those wires, sockets and monitors that make up the majority of the control room.  Then again, it was probably best that the hallway would be this long if only so either cards would avoid being caught by the newcomers who may not have been completely up to date on who still remained befriended to WilyII even after he declared war on the entire city.

They eventually reach a two-way split, greeted by the entrance to the Aquamarine lab while the two hallways led to different directions, the left leading to another venture into the darkness of walls and ceilings while the right appeared to have a door similar to the stairwell he entered back when he was still in card form.  Still unsure of which direction the trio would heading in after leaving the command room, Hierophant heads into the Aquamarine Lab, deciding to wait until they head into the stairwell before trying again to get into the Command Room and get Emperor out.

The area looked to have been ransacked as several security bots laid motionless around a seemingly endless area of water tanks, all of which barren of any marine robots that would most likely be tossed in there for function tests and what not.  This probably would be the best place to wash off the oil, but Hierophant worries that the approaching occupants outside the room would hear splashing and prod them to investigate, so he decides to continue camping out near the entrance and wait for them to leave before doing anything else.

(I've been having a hard time finding reasons to continue their involvement, with Jade most likely wandering around with nothing to do and Joe still under Tron's control.  I'd have dealt with that situation, but I don't want to make it some quick fix that might not sit well with Tron.

...

Well, I can at least try to have Jade brighten someone's mood while struggling with her own dilemma :3)

Noticing some activity going on outside the quarantine, Berbil Jade heads out to find the Resistance had since returned from their earlier battle, but not in the happiest of moods.

It was clear whatever happened to Protoman Blues left a daunting, sour taste that no amount of brushing and drinking can wash away.  She decides to head off in search of Sakura, hoping to get some kind of news on the aftermath of the situation.

Seeing a new, menacing-looking face baffled the Emperor, realizing he was about to be spotted if this newcomer was able to see in the dark better than the near-sighted doctor.  He attempts to slip to another area of the room by sliding down the back of the chair he hid against earlier, bending his card to the shape of both the backrest and the pole while making his way towards the gap under the computer in the hopes of waiting out this seeming re-acquaintance.

Hierophant saw two figures heading into the command room just after he had nearly risked his own card opening it.  Because his eyes were still adjusting to the darkness, he couldn't make out whether they were robots or something else.

Unfortunately, he had little time to ponder their reason for being here as their intrusion will more than likely expose the Emperor and get him strapped for dissection if he doesn't spill the beans about their more primary task during the midst of this war.

He holds his staff towards the wall beside him and concentrates on the orb of his staff, uncovering at least one robot and what appears to be a dark power seemingly floating between him and where WilyII would most likely be.

"Oh, wow....  Can you feel that power...?" Death sighs while sensing the pure evilness flowing from the exposed energy within the walls, "Now that's something I wouldn't mind trying for myself."

"Can you please stick to the problem at hand?" Hierophant mutters, sounding more nervous than frustrated at Death's lack of empathy towards Emperor's predicament, "The Emperor may have a few in his closet that might keep him from being noticed.  But it's only a matter of time before one of those two spot him and wrangle him out."

"And you suggest running in there and frying will make this little rescue mission any easier?" Death muses while leaning against her scythe, "You may be a descent fighter, but you can barely outrun an old man."

"They're going to have to leave the room at some point to figure out how get the power back on," Hierophant mutters, "And since the entire base is dead for the moment, so's their teleportation system, which means it could take them a while to get to where the source of the blackout is, fix it, and make their way back here; plenty of time for us to rush in, grab Emperor, and get out of this place before they realize Tarot Cat left with half its deck missing."

"You and you're pacifistic attempts to rescue everyone...." Death sighs, though still sporting her bemused smirk.

Hajime noticed that communications between him and the WDS had suddenly cut off, insinuating something had caused a blackout which left him with an opportunity to stall on any reports of the Wily Star II's repairs and allow the Resistance time to recuperate.

His dragon mech's scanners picked up Magician, Hermit, and Strength's signal returning to the Star, though Strength's energy is barely noticeable, possibly from whatever shenanigans he was trying to cause within the SexStation.  He decides to leave the aftermath of his stubbornness to the rest of the card and goes back to monitoring the whereabouts of their new recruits, Fix-It Man and Paint-It Man.

After explaining everything to World, who appeared to be baffled and upset at the thought of Hajime having to owe WilyII for sending out robots despite not being labeled as his numbers, she reluctantly nods, knowing that any help is better than being stuck out, forced to work on something that could devastate the planet she and the other cards were designed to protect.  She can only be thankful the WDS was currently out of power, although she was still worried about Emperor still hiding somewhere in the command room, and Hierophant close by, trying to figure out a way to get to him without being caught.

"I suppose it makes sense, given how long it's taking for the Star to be repaired even with most of Hajime's Numbers working on the repairs," she sighs, "Alright.  I'll transfer the data for the Wily Star II's blueprints so you can help reassemble it."

The two ancient robots saluted her as she closes her eyes and focuses her third eye on their memory banks, shooting out a beam of energy that downloaded the schematics into their line of sight.

"Awesome!" Paint-It Man yips, "Let's get started before Dr. Wily II gets impatient and decides to abandon us like his predecessor before him!"

Fix-It Man nods just as eagerly as they rush off to assess and put their repair skills to the test.  Judgement pops out of the deck and floats towards World's ear.

"You sure you want to let them help?" she hisses, "This could be a trap to make Hajime do more work that'll get him antagonized by the Resistance."

"Well...if Hajime feels he can handle any consequences that arise from this, we should at least try to trust his decision," World sighs, "At least with the Resistance resting up from their fight in St. Acidburg, we won't have to worry about being spotted and attacked before our job is finished."

Judgement muffles a frustrated grunt as she leans back against her painted background and crosses her arms, still feeling unsure about this sudden change in plans.

While Chariot wasn't able to get into the source of the other hacker's location, he did manage to somehow uncover feeds from both the SexStation and Wily Star II, insinuating that enough cameras had been repaired so that they can keep watch of the cards' whereabouts without having to worry about WilyII realizing the old ruined lab is still occupied.

Everyone in that floating station looks sad...." Temperance mutters, looking towards the hallway cameras of the SexStation, "What do you think happened that took away their happiness...?"

Chariot stares at her, deciding not to enlighten her to the reason behind song she enjoyed hearing back at St. Acidburg.

"Do you think it's okay to be spying on the Resistance?" Erika asked, "If the old man was able to detect being hacked, what's stopping the Resistance from catching onto the same thing?"

"The way everyone is at the moment, I doubt they would be too in the mood to even notice," Chariot said, "At least for now, we should at least keep an eye on them and the Star while I try to reconnect the cameras back at the Station."

He then goes back to typing on the console to reestablish the camera feed, but quickly notices a problem, "You can't be serious!"

"What's wrong?" Erika asked.

"The screen keeps flashing this stupid message that the entire system is offline, cameras and everything!"

"Oh no!" Lovers squeals horrifically, "That means we'll never be able to keep watch on Mewick and Tabitha!"

"No way!  There's gotta be some way of making sure they're okay!" Erika yelps.

"Everything in this place is either rusted or busted beyond any kind of repair any of us would comprehend," Chariot grumbles, "I'll just have to keep trying to reconnect to the Station until someone fixes whatever caused them to go offline!"

He continues typing into the console, getting the same error message over and over again as he continues to wait for something to happen that will get them some kind of feed from the WDS.

(Just a quick recap for those who might have forgotten since my last post; Chariot, Sun, Temperance, and Hierophant are all materialized into their full, original size while everyone else left behind are still in card form)

Hierophant peaked around the corner, having shut off his staff so he isn't spotted right away and waited for his eyes to adjust to the darkness, though there may still be a chance of him being spotted if anyone with half their eyesight recovered to spot him from behind with most of his miter still covered in dried oil.

WilyII was taking his time rushing outside, but then again with the entire base dark it's not surprising why.  Judging by his poor eyesight and how long it would take for them to adjust, he may end up being stuck behind the corner for a while, waiting for him to make it out before attempting to get into the control room and pulling Emperor away from his "lesson".

"This wouldn't be your doing, would it?" Death asked upon the sudden flood of darkness blacking out the entire station.

"How could I have anything to do with this blackout when we aren't even near a light switch!?" Hierophant nearly grouses as he uses his staff to illuminate their immediate area.

With everything offline, it would be easy to just head back to the control room, grab Emperor and leave before any backup generators activate.  Hierophant backtracks to where Emperor disappeared to, but quickly finds that the door, too, was offline.

"Decisions, decisions," Death sighs, "You could use your staff to recharge the keypad and get the door open, but then you'd be exposing yourself and Emperor to the old man's presence."

"As much as I don't want to betray anyone, I also can't leave him trapped in that room," Hierophant grumbles, "Even the purest of evil doesn't deserve this kind of torment and embarrassment."

He points his staff at the keypad, concentrating on the still lit orb as it sends white sparks crawling through the gaps in the keys, giving the motherboard inside enough of a jolt to reactivate it for a short while.  He quickly punches in the code he saw WilyII punch in earlier before making a break for the nearest corner closest to the command room, waiting for him to notice and hopefully leave before attempting to "rescue" Emperor from his own greed.

I'm going to be gone for a few days due to personal family issues, so if I don't get a chance to pay for wifi access at a hotel my parents booked, I may not be able to respond to any important moments in Wilypocalypse (But then again since most of my characters have done nothing but give Wily II's robots a hard time, and hardly anyone has noticed the current restoration of the Wily Star II as of the fight in St. Acidburg, I doubt that would upset you in anyway -_- >w<).

Update: I managed to talk my parents into letting me pay for wifi.  But my chances of being online for the next few days are still limited with everything that's going on.

Magician arrives at the SexStation in time to see Hermit emerge from the Hanger area with Strength hauled by his spiky bandana.

"Is he done having his Solid Snake moment?" he grumbles.

"What little he thought was a stealth mission," Hermit sighs, "Let's get back to the Wily Star II before the Resistance gets back and finds us snooping around their area."

Magician nods as he grabs Strength's leather belt and helps Hermit tote him back to said location, feeling thankful of how little to no sound traveled through space.

The control room suddenly dims as most of the monitors collecting feed from the WDS' many cameras suddenly distorted into electrical snowstorms that almost deafened the otherwise dead silent atmosphere.

Erika and Lovers almost jumped out of their cards while Sun cried in shock from the sudden onslaught of the static noise and Chariot tries to cover his ears despite his helmet blocking the attempt.

"Aw....  I was enjoying that song...." Temperance moans as she had been drawn to the situation in St. Acidburg purely by the blissfulness of the song being played.

Chariot pushes her out of the way and tries to reconnect to the cameras in the WDS, but each attempt only resulted in an "Access Denied" blaring over the still deafening noise.

"You'd think since these two are almost one in the same, they'd have some kind of relationship other than a number slapped to their names!" Erika shouts while she and Leo covered their ears with their fingers.

"Wadda we do!?" Lovers cries while clinging to Giuseppe's back, "Mewick and Tabitha are still in that mean old man's place!  I don't wanna imagine what'll happen to them if he or those mean wobots find them!"

Chariot eventually writes up a command that shuts off all the monitors except for the one near the console.

"Well...at least it'll give us time to think," he groans while muddling through the desktop for an alternative to re-establishing the feed from the WDS' cameras.  But each file he found had a password or foolproof barrier that only the original Wily would know how to crack.

"Wait a minute, didn't that paint bucket robot mention something about someone else hacking into the WDS?" Erika asks, "Maybe if we can find where that hacker is, we'll be able to reconnect the cameras and keep watch of Hierophant, Death and Emperor!"

Chariot continues to stare at the screen a moment, mulling over the possibility of said hacker noticing and trying to shut them out.  But considering every other option was useless without either the original Wily or some kind of hint that is still intact, there didn't seem to be any other choice.

"It's worth trying...." he sighs before digging through each program to try and locate spy on the hacker responsible for breaking into the WDS' network.
