Roleplay / Re: Wilypocalypse NOW

Hearing the enraged announcement irked Hierophant as he was casting Arise on another misfortunate Robot Master.  Death, meanwhile muffles a frustrated sigh while leaning on her scythe.

"There's just no pleasing the old bat," she grumbles, "I doubt he's even paying attention to the monitors broadcasting our attempt to clean up this mess."

"Somehow, I get the feeling he wouldn't care either way...." Hierophant mutters worriedly as he leaves the glowing cherub to revive the mangled Robot Master before sneaking off to find the next one.

Rounding another corner, he finds Random Man laying dazed and undamaged on the floor with his miter still wedged onto his open lid while Teach Man laid a few feet from him, blanketed in smoldering ash and torn clothing.

"Hmmm.... I just love the sight of a half-dead carcass," Death sighs amusingly, "It's such a shame we have to clean this all up to dampen some of the 'torment' we'll be getting if they ever manage to dispel our Vanish effect."

Hierophant stares at her uncomfortably before pointing his staff towards his miter, "Well....  Since we're here, I may as well get my miter back before someone else decides to mess around with it."

He kneels down and reaches over to his miter, but his hand keeps fazing through it, quickly reminding him that he can't touch anything unless he cast the same Vanish spell on it.  Muffling a frustrated groan, he points his staff towards his miter and concentrates on the Vanish spell, causing a gray glow to emit from its orb before separating into crystal-like entities and surrounding Random Man, causing him to disappear along with the miter.

"Ugh...great....  I was afraid this would happen," Hierophant grumbles in more frustration, "If something's latched on tightly to something else, the Vanish spell will affect it too."

"Eh...not to worry," Death shrugs, "All you need to do is pop the hat off and cast Dispel to return him to existence."

"That's assuming he doesn't wake up before then...."

Hierophant gulps silently before walking up to Random Man and placing one foot on his shoulder while grasping his miter with both hands, pulling with all his average strength until an audible popping sound sends him tumbling back a few feet.  He sits back up and looks toward his hands to find the miter back in his possession with little more than a widened lid from Random Man's inconsiderate wedging.

But as he was getting back up to cast Dispel on Random Man, said robot suddenly snaps his eyes open and springs to his feet, looking around as if he had just been activated for the first time.

"Ooooh....  What a thrill ride!" he gawks before squealing with delight, "I wanna go again!"

He then notices Teach Man lying on the floor.  Fuming at the thought of being yelled at for finding a hat, he rushes over and tries to kick him only to have his foot faze through his body, causing the momentum to toss him onto his back.

Hierophant grits his teeth on worry as he watches Random Man spring back onto his feet, scratching his lid in confusion before walking back over to Teach Man and stomping his foot onto his chest only to see it faze into him.

"Hey hey!  What's going on!?  Why can I step through you!?" he complains while moving to jump on Teach Man, causing nothing more than his feet fazing through his body, "Did Wily give you an upgrade while I was out!?  Why don't I have a cool ability like yours!?"

"Is that you, Random Man!?" calls a voice from the distance.  Random Man snaps his head towards it to see Clay Man wander into the area, looking around rather confusedly and not once gazing at his immediate area.

"Oh oh!  Are you looking for that intruder as well!?  I heard WilyII exclaim he must be brought back dead or alive!"

Clay Man suddenly snaps his head around, but continues to evade Random Man's general presence, "I can hear your voice, but I don't see you anywhere."

"What're you talking about!?  I'm right here!" Random Man pipes as he jumps up and down in front of Clay Man, who continues to look in every direction except where any normal person would be looking.

"Are you playing games again?  Dr. Wily II sent us to find an intruder, and judging by his tone, he'll want more than our undying apology if we let the intruder get away!"

Random Man stops bouncing, his lid popping open as steam flew out before waving his hands in front of Clay Man only to notice something only those affected by Vanish could see.

"What's this!?  I'm a white outline!" Random Man yelps as he looks at every inch of himself to find he can't see anything but the said outline making up his invisible being.  He then looks back to Clay Man, watching him look around the area for what could be the tenth time before sinisterly narrowing his eyelids and making a mad dash towards the control room.

Hierophant and Death look to each other exasperatedly before following after him, finding him standing right behind WilyII, rubbing his hands together in preparation for his sinister scheme.

"Oooh...the fun I'll have with this...." he snickers silently as he creeps closer to WilyII's ear, "What's up, doc?"

WilyII suddenly whips around to face Random Man, but finds nothing there, "Who's there!?  Are you the intruder!?  Show yourself!"

Random Man places his hand on where his mouth should be while hissing a Muttley-like snicker, then proceeds to poke his finger through WilyII's forehead, getting not so much as a reaction from the still oblivious doctor.

"I'm touching you!" he quips while pulling his hand out of WilyII's forehead, then bouncing behind him and jabbing his hand into his Evil Spinning Chair and out his chest, "I'm touching you again!"

Hierophant and Death stood at the entrance, flustered and annoyed at Random Man's pitiful use of his invisibility as he continues to bounce and prance around, poking his hand through every part of WilyII's body while monotonously spouting "I'm touching you", all the while flustering and aggravating WilyII further as he turns his chair around to try and figure out where the voice was coming from.

"They don't call him random for nothing...." Death sighs while rubbing her temple, for once not amused by this sight.  Hierophant sighs as well before nonchalantly pointing his staff at Random Man as he lands between the door and the back of WilyII's chair.

"Dispel...." he deadpans as the orb on his staff glows white and fires towards Random Man, causing a pillar of rainbows to surround him before disappearing to reveal his physical appearance.  But by the time he realized his tangibility, he had already thrust his finger towards WilyII's chair.

Due to his robot strength, his seemingly harmless jab dealt enough force to knock WilyII forward into the controls, causing no less damage than accidentally shutting off half the monitors fed by several cameras in the WDS.

"Too late...?" Hierophant squeaked upon seeing the surprisingly unscathed doctor laying half dazed against the console.

"I believe so...." Death half muses, "What's say we scram and get back to finding Emperor before the doc wakes up from his unintentional nap time...."

The two then rush out of the control room without even bothering to wait and see what fate befell Random Man.

Overhearing Vixy's communication with the Resistance, and faintly hearing something about a dome being set up to shelter the citizens, the five Berbils, who had since holed themselves in the trailer in order to better socialize and concoct a plan, look to each other while chittering int heir language over what to do about the situation.

They wanted to lend a hand to those who wanted nothing to do with the Resistance after watching their Sexcellent leader turn coat and attack them without thought or conscience, but their main goal was to find their friends before they succumb to the turmoil the rest of the city has been going through since that fiasco.  The panda Berbil looks down at the walkie-talkie a moment before picking it up and switching the frequency back to New Ro-Bear Village, speaking the same language to their elder and informing him of the situation and requesting more caravans to come and help the citizens move to this dome being set up.

As Chariot continued through the city, he noticed flashing in the distance and runs into one of the wrecked buildings, peeking through a partially destroyed windows to see two figures heading towards a large, white sphere with a half-as-large, human-looking eye sitting a top it.  He was aware of one of the Resistance's many personal mechs and vehicles and didn't expect to bump into one of them so quickly.

The figures were heading inside the spherical machine, indicating it belonged to them.  Chariot wanted to follow just to be sure, but because he was still bleeding from the nose, and his recovery is pitifully slow, he didn't trust his control over his Tarot Energy, and frets his mere presence will startle them into attacking him as a threat.

He quickly concentrates on his energy, reverting his positive Blood of Wands back to the neutrally undetectable Blood of Pentacles before staying behind the window and observing the goings on to see what the two were intending to do with such a giant golf ball-like vehicle.

Hajime remains nonchalant before looking back towards the Wily Star II, seeing some flashing going on inside that indicates Fix-It Man is already hard at work reconstructing the walls, stairs, and elevators making up a small percentage of the Wily Star II's interior operations.

"The robots you sent up here seem to be doing a better job than everyone else, I hate to admit," Hajime sighs, "If the Resistance doesn't come knocking, we should be finished a few hours before my mech's previous estimated time of completion."

He hopes, at least this tidbit of information simmers WilyII's temper; the last thing he needs is to have the once good doctor riled up and raring to blame him for everything that goes wrong should the Resistance find a way to get into the Star and rip it apart without so much as a single take from his robots.

Without a moment's thought, Hajime's monitor activates, showing him monitoring the progress of the Wily Star II.

"I noticed your station went dead for a while," Hajime immediately spoke up, "I wasn't sure if you'd be around if the Resistance decides to come banging at the Star's door."

He was looking nonchalant, as usual, but WilyII knew he was hiding something that may or may not jeopardize his chances of world domination.

"I've been getting some odd reports of magical, animated cards lingering around my WDS," WilyII said, trying hard not to grin eagelry, "And I seem to remember you having a robot built around cards....  You wouldn't happen to...know about this, would you?"

Hajime remains silent, but not disturbed or distraught at what WilyII was getting at, "If Tarot Cat's cards are running loose somewhere around the station, its only because they have their own reasons for not wanting to get involved in potentially life-threatening jobs that would more than betray their Tarot Energy."

WilyII slammed his fist on the computer, "Bah!  You backstabbing brat!  If what you say is true, than I can safely assume that they were the reason for the second blackout and the destruction of the Robot Masters scouring this floor for that intruder, who I seem to recall has the same card sticking out of his back as the rest of that cat's deck!"

"You sure are quick to pin all of this on me when, according to the two robots you sent up here to help with the Wily Star II's repairs, there were others trying to get into your system, and could equally be responsible for the station going black."

"That still doesn't excuse the fact that your robot's cards are running loose and distracting me from complete domination of this world!  You built those robots to obey you without question and this is how you run business!?"

Hajime merely frowns in offense, "Those robots were also programmed to protect me, my business, and each other if they find enough reason to overstep my boundaries.  And some of them harbor secrets and obligations so world-shattering and devastating in any hands even I'm not allowed to know about them.  So if you don't want anymore sides fighting against your chances of world domination, or worse, you'd do best treat the cards you do manage to capture fairly and keep your observations at a safe, no-touch distance."

As this was going on, one of the monitors picked up another glowing orb of light turn into a bright-white cherub and float down to another mangled Robot Master, reactivating his auto-repair functions and mending the damage caused by the projectiles launched during Random Man's panic.

The alarms startled Berbil Jade and Joe as they ponder what new threat tried to get into the SexStation.  Jade had seen Strength and Hermit infiltrate earlier, but due to her attention being on Joe's recovery couldn't do much, not to mention she had no clue how to deal with such a situation despite Hajime's constant admittance to being treated like an enemy when the situation calls for it.

Joe, however, was visibly shaking, almost as if there were scattered remains of whatever controlled him still trapped in his systems, causing him to sense a threat similar to what he had gone through earlier.  Jade places her hand on his shoulder, speaking in the Berbil language before rushing off to figure out what was going on, Joe, seeming unsure, but equally unwilling to stop her, hangs his head in reluctance and rushes off to try and distract himself from the situation.

It took a bit, but the outer shell of the Wily Star II has been completely reassembled.  Fix-It Man confronts Paint-It Man as they search through the downloaded blueprints to see what to do next.

"We've got the shell restructured, next should be the walls and hallways making up the Wily Star II," Fix-It Man ponders aloud.

"Let's hurry then!" Paint-It Man proclaims, "We can't let Dr. Wily II or his friends down!"

Fix-It Man nods as they get to work on the next part of the Star's reconstruction.

Hajime observed from outside the star, seeming fascinated by how quickly the two ancient robots were fixing the Star.  If he could get his Robot Masters to help with the repairs, it could be back up and running a little earlier than he estimated.

But there was still the problem of reporting to WilyII.  Hierophant has managed to get the WDS back up and running, but it seems he may have caused something that is keeping the old doctor distracted and focused on his whereabouts.  He couldn't figure out what, but could only assume it had to do with the other missing cards and his inability to properly conceal himself without succumbing to the need to help those he feels sorry for.  Still there wasn't much he could do but hope WilyII loses interest and goes back to monitoring the progress of the Wily Star II.

(I don't mind; I haven't seen a whole lot of Final Fantasy games that use Vanish, but I can tell it isn't completely flawless beyond dodging physical attacks or detection.  Though I should point out that Hierophant is currently the size of an average 18-year-old, but then there are still secrets about Tarot Cat and its cards that I'm still straightening out and may reveal over time, so for now, I'll accept that he only sees Hierophant's card still glued to his back, and Death, who is still in card form)

Hierophant grit his teeth as the new entity acknowledged his presence, but was equally relieved that he didn't immediately point out where he and Death were hiding before disappearing towards the SexStation.

"Well, jig's up," Death sighs in annoyance, "I know there's at least one robot who can dispel our invisibility and expose us before everyone else, so our only choice is to flee this place before he shows up to unveil us."

"But Emperor is still in the station!" Hierophant hissed low enough for only Death to hear, "We can't just leave him here to save ourselves."

"I'd say there's one other way to find and pull him out, but considering how desperate the old man wants us captured, running there and endangering the other cards that got left behind may not be such a bright idea...." Death mutters equally low while scratching her large, bushy hair in frustration, "Well, I guess we have no choice but to fix the mess that Random robot caused so we can at least spare Hajime anymore unnecessary debts."

Hierophant compresses his lips before sneaking away from the hole and heads down one of the hallways until he comes to another desolate portion that clearly sets itself apart from everywhere else in more than just the now doughnut-shaped robot unprivileged enough to be caught in the flying projectile's trajectory.

"Ugh, geez, did one of those missiles blow up the doctor's personal bathroom!?" Hierophant almost yelps while covering his nose and mouth in an futile attempt to block out the rank stench.

"That, unfortunately, would only be possible if there was any plumbing sticking out of the floors," Death sighs, somewhat thankful that her card form negates the unbearable stench her materialized brethren had to put up with.

"Right..." Hierophant groaned before sauntering through the raunchy mess before eventually finding its intact auto-repair function.  He'd only deal with the healing in a quiet manner to avoid drawing attention from the remaining Robot Masters that hasn't crowded around Unity, but the smell was too overwhelming for him to even focus on the type of curing spell he wanted to cast.

"Just going to say it and run...." he mutters before pointing his staff at the auto-repair function, "Arise!"

The orb on his staff glowed brightly before lifting off and taking on the shape of a cherub fluttering down to the auto-repair functions and tapping its wand on its metallic surface, causing the entire hole left behind by the exploded projectile to glow and reform the robot to what it originally looked like.  Any cameras capturing the resurrection only saw a strange orb of light appear, turn into a cherub and fly into the robot, fully restoring him to what he originally looked like before the explosion that did him in.

Not wanting to stick around and see if his spell worked, Hierophant rushes towards another smoldering area of the floor hoping to find an equally repairable robot to cast his healing magic on.

Hierophant barely scrambled away from the hole that formed as he stares in shock and horror at what had transpired from the man jabbing his dark crystal into his body.  Death continued to float by his side, too amused by everything she had seen and heard to share some consideration towards the young priest's horrified experience.  She eventually snaps back some of her senses and leans closer to Hierophant to keep her volume low and unheard by the remaining robots that weren't caught by Random Man's frightful attacks.

"I think we move out of this area...just in case this guy has some kind of power to dispel your Vanish spell...." she mutters.

Hierophant grit his teeth and nods quickly flees towards the corner closest to the control room, peeking out around the corner to see what else was going to happen with WilyII's newly acquired companion.

I put the situation with Wreck-It Man on hold because I wasn't sure when was the best time to have him cause havoc.  I was thinking about having him trounce through St. Acidburg as the remains of the Wily Star II drifted through space, still being repaired by Fix-It Man and Paint-It Man, but I'm also worried that it's still too soon to cause more havoc while the Resistance is still recovering and about to deal with a returning problem.

That was the last thing Hierophant or Death needed was someone with a mystical item they have little understanding of looking for them.  For all they knew, a mere brush past its dark properties could leave a mark, or completely dispel the Vanish effect.

He needed to find Emperor, and knowing he may have activated a more potent Vanishing technique that, while in card form, can completely conceal him from all known scanning devices or spells, using his inner Tarot sensing abilities was the only way to expose his whereabouts without actively revealing them to the still scouring robots.

As he was about to concentrate on his inner Tarot Energy to conjure up the best possible direction to start searching, Random Man suddenly dances across the room, wearing an oddly familiar green, white bordered miter.  Hierophant nearly gasped as he grabs for the top of his head only to grasp strands of his blue, slightly messy hair, realizing then that his miter must have fallen off when he tumbled to the disassembled mess in the closet room.  He rushes over to Random Man to get it back only to remember he was still invisible and unable to touch anything that wasn't affected by his Vanish spell, with the obvious exception of the floor.

Before he could use his staff to recast Vanish on his miter, Teach Man suddenly barges by, almost bumping into Random Man as he was about to enter the control room to deliver the seemingly grim news.

"You like my new hat!?" Random Man quips...well...randomly, "I was just walking along, doing what I was told to do when I saw this strange light envelope the closet room and this strange hat rolled out."

"A WHAT!?" Teach Man exclaims before smacking the miter off with his Whipping Cane and getting into Random Man's face, "Why didn't you report this to Dr. Wily II!?  We could've had that intruder in his grasp before Tanker Man impulsively destroyed him!"

Unbeknownst to Teach Man, however, the miter had been wedged tightly onto Random Man's lid, and the mildly powerful slap of his Whipping Cane yanked it wide open.  And because of its traumatizing effects mixed with Random Man's...randomness, its very sound suddenly freaks him out.

"Oh...my...!" he whimpers as the inside of his head began to glow, indicating he was about to unleash every weapon he had been given since activation.  Teach Man suddenly panics at the sudden realization.

"Oh nonononononoNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT NEAR THE CONTROL ROOM!!!" he yelps before hauling Random Man over his head and rushing off down the hallway.  The second he turned the corner, an explosion rang through the area as homing projectiles of all types zipped around the hallway, some chasing ten other Robot Masters that were still searching around the area, and at least one Berbil that supposedly strayed from the scrapyard seemingly in search of a part that rolled out of the room.  The ensuing random explosions and shaking foundation scared Hierophant into a defensive crouch, covering his ears despite knowing his Vanish spell makes him invulnerable to every weapon that was zipping through the room.

Death, meanwhile, blissfully circles around him, taking in the random explosions and terrified shrieks of the Robot Masters caught in their destructive paths, "I've never heard such pleasurable noises since that one time Ryuta uncovered a Reverbot hive while fending off a gang of Mavericks...."

Hearing the announcement blasting through the hallways, Hierophant grit his teeth nervously while Death lets out a disdained tsk.

"And all this could have been avoided if you'd just use your Teleport spell instead of messing with the old man's machine," she grumbles.

"You try thinking in the midst of being spotted!" Hierophant nearly snapped, though barely keeping calm enough to keep his tone to a hissing whisper, "Besides, there's only a few places other than outside I could have teleported to, and I'm not in the mood to spend another hour in wet clothes."

"I hear voices coming from the broom closet!"

Both irked and looked towards the door as the sound of rockets and missiles pierced their ears.  Hierophant panics as he grabs Death and holds his staff into the air.

"VANISH!!!" he shouts, causing the blue orb to glow white as crystal-shaped entities circled it before trailing around him and Death, causing them to blink out of sight just as the entire room explodes from the projectiles launched outside.  Both remain completely unscathed as debris fell right through their invisible beings before two bulky robots blocked the hallway lights.

"You idiot!" Teach Man shouts as he whacks Tanker Man in the back with his Whipping Cane, "When Dr. Wily II said bring that intruder to him alive or dead, he meant bring back a piece of it!"

"For a teacher, you're really ignorant to the laws of physics!" Tanker Man grumbles, "I may have obliterated everything in this room, but I used only half of my ammo just to make sure there's at least a finger or two to present to Dr. Wily II!"

"MY BROOM CLOSET!!!"

Teach Man and Tanker Man were pushed away from each other as Swiffer Man scrambles into the room, trembling everywhere as he looks at the splinters, fiber and metal that was once the tools used for cleaning.

"DO YOU HAVE NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE PRECIOUSNESS OF CLEANLINESS!?  ALL MY HARD WORK COLLECTING THESE CLEANING SUPPLIES...RUINED!!!"

Just seeing the debris scattered around the closet room causes Swiffer Man's eyes to widen as his glitch ran itself into overdrive.

"CLEAN!!!  I MUST CLEAN EVERYTHING!!!" he shrills as his left arm turns into a Swiffer vacuum and he begins running it all over the room.  Teach Man freaks and rushes in to try and stop him while Tanker Man ignorantly wanders off to find something else to blow up.

"No, you idiot!  Wait until we find the remains of that intruder, then you can clean your precious closet room!" he shouts while fighting against Swiffer Man's entranced Swiffer Sweeping.

While this was going on, Hierophant walks out of the room, completely untouched and unseen by the entire fiasco, and heads off towards the control room to check and see if Emperor had snuck his way back in.  He stops near the entrance, poking his head in to find WilyII in deep thought and the guy with the Dark Crystal seemingly arguing with something unseen.

Emperor was nowhere to be found, but given he was still in his ninja form, he could have used a more potent vanishing spell to ensure he is unseen by anything that could bypass general invisibility.  His best chance of knowing was to use his staff to uncover Emperor's card, but his Vanish spell is limited, and the mere flash of his staff could expose him to the very people he didn't want spotting him.  Not to mention the mystical properties of the crystal held by the newcomer could also dispel his invisibility, leaving him open to be captured without even given WilyII's robots the glory of doing it first.

Still, he couldn't go anywhere else until he was certain his vanishing act was mistaken for an accidental annihilation from the tanker robot and the OCD malfunction of their cleaning robot.  He sneaks to the other side of the door so as not to accidentally press himself against the keypad and peeks in to see what happens next.

Vixy flew around the city in her Super Heart Vixy form, looking for anymore survivors she could rescue and cure of their traumatized experience.  She had sensed a negative presence somewhere in a desolate neighborhood that seemed to have caused a reaction almost similar to the Frenzy Waves unleashed by Frenzy Man and decides to head there to see what was going on.

Upon arriving, she sees a beat up caravan plowing through a mess of terrified citizens, most of whom charged at the vehicle with no other consideration than to see the drivers and whoever else accompanied him either driven out of the city or slaughtered by their blindly justified hands.  Thinking they were ruffians ruining the restoration of the city, she flies down for a closer look.

Unfortunately, the citizens exposed to Chariot's Blood of Swords were still in a rage due to their lack of understanding and overcoming its negative sensation, and upon seeing Vixy landing on top of the trailer, immediately remembered PB's rampage through the city and all but forgotten her efforts to fight back his Frenzied rage.

At that moment, the Chariot saw the tower-shaped aura surrounding the neighborhood shattered into bricks of fear and anguish.

"Ah, crap!" he growls as the entire neighborhood swarmed to intensify the rocking and bashing of the caravan, all in a raged bid to knock Vixy off the trailer and tear her to shreds.  The Berbils began to panic as the increasing swarm slowly started to fight against their pursuit to escape the neighborhood, leaving them sluggishly trapped and vulnerable to the increasing mob's uninvestigating vengeance.

"No good," the panda Berbil exclaims monotonously, "Citizens coming on strong.  Caravan unable to continue further."

Chariot looks towards the walkie-talkie where the panda Berbil's voice came from, then the windows just as their Plexiglas material was beginning to bend and crack from the savagely vengeful citizens beating and throwing whatever they could carry at them, before looking towards the hatch at the top of the trailer.

"That's it!  I can't take this anymore!" he shouts before using the back end of his spear to knock down the ladder blocking the valve controlling the hatch's locks.

"Vixy can quell citizens," the red panda Berbil protests, "Chariot should not interfere while still bleeding from injury."

"The only reason those citizens are attacking at this magnitude is because they remember what kind of energy I was giving off when they threw that rock at my face," Chariot retorts, "In their frenzied state, they won't stop attacking until they either rip me to shreds, or witness me give off an energy that will wash away their terrified assumptions!"

He then marches over to the ladder and starts climbing towards the hatch, "Besides, I still need to maintain the neutral energy of my Blood of Pentacles, and sitting here, letting someone else rescue us from this mess isn't going to make hiding my Blood of Swords any easier."

The Berbils stood their ground and watched in worry as Chariot turns the valve until an audible click signifies the unlocking of the hatch which he then pushes upwards, startling Vixy out of the way as she turns to see him climb onto the roof of the trailer.

Upon seeing his appearance, the citizen's outrage intensified as they scrambled to get onto the roof while those nearing the edge reached out to grab his legs only to have him inconsiderately kick them back down.  He quickly glances towards Vixy, seeing three transparent swords hovering around her as an indication that she was beginning to realize he was the cause of the neighborhood's batshit savagery.  He had to hurry before the swords take advantage of her tiny sliver of distrust and slide in unison through her ever loving heart, poisoning her into seeing him as the newest major threat to the still recovering city.

Chariot shuts his eyes and concentrates on his more reliable energies; the neutral Blood of Pentacles, and the positive Blood of Wands.

Believe....  Believe that my actions are voluntary and not forced....  Believe that I will do whatever it takes to achieve victory for myself more than those I choose to protect....

As he continues to concentrate on his own beliefs and desires, emerald-colored blood began pouring out of his injured nose, overlapping the citrine stain caked around his lower face.  From the emerald flood unleashed a flow of positivity left up to interpretation by those who gazed upon its crystalline glow.

This didn't stop the citizens from attacking the caravan, however, enough of the positivity had seeped through the minds to wash out the negative reaction caused by his Blood of Swords and their attack on the caravan had reverted back to simply driving them out of their neighborhood, though those barricading the front of the caravan quickly got out of the way upon gaining enough sense to realize their own idiocy.  Chariot looks towards Vixy one more time before leaping back into the trailer and running over to the walkie-talkie.

"Drive now, before they change their minds and start attacking again!" he shouts.  The panda Berbil nods in agreement before flooring the gas peddle, causing the caravan to careen through the rest of the neighborhood and into what appears to be a ghost town a few miles from where they were almost buried.

"We should rest and recuperate before continuing," the panda Berbil said, "No point finding friends and survivors if Berbils and Chariot are still overwhelmed by situation in neighborhood."

Chariot muffles a frustrated sigh as he slaps off another layer of emerald and citrine from his still bleeding face, "While you guys get your senses back, I'm going to go wander around this part of the city and look for something to do until my nose stops bleeding.  I don't want anymore people coming after me at the first sight of my Blood of Swords."

The Berbils in the trailer watched as he unlocks the double doors and hops out, looking around before wandering off to an area away from where they had just entered, not bothering to check and see what Vixy was going to do after being taken for an unexpected, and almost heart-wrenching ride.

After putzing through several commands, Hierophant finally finds one that controls the pipes draining the water into the sprinklers, but activating the corresponding window reveals a map of the current floor almost obscured by a maze of pipes connecting one of the tanks to the room its pipes were connected to.  Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about figuring out what room connects to which pipe as both the control room and the pipe leading to it were flashing red, indicating a flow problem.  Pressing them caused both the room and the affected pipe to stop flashing as a dialogue box popped up with the words "DAMAGED PIPE OFFLINE".

Heaving a small sigh of relief for dealing with the first part of the fiasco, Hierophant runs back up to the main floor of the Aquamarine Lab and through the now drenched hallways, which had since completed it scan of any anomalies, back into the control room, finding the pipes no longer spilling water, but most of the monitors that had been crushed open were now leaking water from the very cracks the waters had drizzled into.  He runs up to the console and tries to pull the monitors off, but finds they were bolted to the undamaged monitors, and his average strength wasn't going to be enough to uproot them.

Hierophant looks around to make sure no robots, or WilyII for that matter, were wandering about the control room before pointing the staff at the monitors and unleashing a powerful surge of white lightning, causing all the monitors to shatter and spill the water that had built up during the sprinkler's activation.  As he was about to breathe another sight of relief and head up to check and see how much water was left in the monitors, he hears a faint voice boasting from outside.

"Why is there white lightning coming out of that room!?"

"It must be that anomaly that has been causing this fiasco!  Let's hurry before it gets away!"

Hierophant panics, realizing WilyII and his cohorts had managed to make their way to the elevator to get back to the current floor the control room is in.  There was still water in the monitor, but he didn't have time to empty it out, and there was no telling how far they are from the control room.  He swallows hard before holding the orb end of his staff and two of his unoccupied fingers towards his forehead.

"Please don't explode....  Please don't explode...." he mutters while concentrating on the staff's healing powers.  After a few seconds, the orb flashes white as green-glowing binary numbers flickered off it.

Wasting no time to check and see how far the voices were from the room, Hierophant points the staff at the machine, clutching it with both hands, and fires off a blinding white beam, causing more green-glowing binary numbers to rise up around it as all the shattered and compressed monitors popped back to their normal height with the shards still remaining growing and expanding back to their original solidity; steam billows from the monitors, indicating the heat of his transferring healing energy was evaporating the remaining puddles of water still trapped within the monitor's boxes.

"Hey you!  What're you doing to my controls!?"

Hierophant almost dropped his staff as he snaps his head over to see WilyII and some unfamiliar person with a dark crystal standing at the door.  The console was almost back to full operation, and he wasn't about to reveal his ability to heal machines, let alone reveal he had been separated from Tarot Cat's deck.

"Sorry...." he yelped before slamming his foot onto the keypad inside the control room, causing a loud klaxon to nearly blast their eardrums before the door to the control room slams shut.

There was a startled yelp from the other side, followed by an aggravated yell.

"Curse you, you...intruder!  I'll have your head when I get the door back open!"

Hierophant grits his teeth before looking back towards the console, "C'mon....  Hurry up...!"

The staff eventually fades back to its original blue hue, indicating the console had been fully repaired.  But no sooner had he attempted another sigh of relief, the keypad began beeping, indicating WilyII was punching in his pass code to get back into the room.  He quickly runs up to the console and digs through its commands until he found one that controls the teleportation function.  He quickly hits the "Emergency teleportation" function just as the door flew back open, causing his entire body to glow white before disappearing in a beam of light.

Death pokes her head back out after noticing the lights had stopped flashing, seeing the cameras had returned to their stationary positions.  Before she could think about lingering out to see if the entire hallway had stopped scanning, she heard a crash, followed by several long-pole tools falling out of their messy positions.  She barely manages to dodge them before looking to where the crash came from to find Hierophant laying upside down in the middle of the room.

"You really need to find a better position to drop in from," she muses once again.

"Try telling that to the teleportation system I had to use to get out of the control room," Hierophant grumbled before scrambling back to his feet, gathering the tools and slamming the door shut, "We're going to have to hide here a while.  I have a feeling he's going to be sending some robots to search for us."

Death puckers her lips to the side, wanting to give Hierophant another harsh talking, but figures he probably didn't have much of a choice and decided to heed his suggestion.

The windows eventually stopped flashing spotlights, indicating they had completed their scan of the area.  Hierophant puffed a small cloud of bubbles before sinking towards the bottom of the tank and drifting towards the lone doorway standing next to the windows.

There appeared to be a trap door below him, most likely to drop any damaged machines that are swept into the area, and an opening a few feet above his materialized height.  Hierophant pulled his hat off before heading for the surface, staying just high enough above the water to get a better look of the place without being spotted by any of the cameras that might still be scanning the room.

While the scanning lights have all shut off, it didn't necessary stop the cameras from filming any activity that was going on in the observation room.  But since the control room is still damaged and without power, Hierophant didn't feel the need to worry about being spotted as he cautiously climbs out and looks around for the whereabouts of any consoles that might control more than just the shutters of each tank.

He didn't have to look long before seeing one of the consoles directly adjacent to the window overlooking the tank he jumped into.  And it appears this particular tank was the only one sacrificing its liters to put out the fire in both the control room and wherever Reggae was running his flaming feathers to.

Hierophant sneaks up to the console and begins searching for an option to shut off the sprinklers, but quickly finds he was having as much luck finding the command as digging through a pile of haystacks for a sharp needle.

Hierophant eventually found himself back in the Aquamarine Lab after following the pipe closest to the control room.  With the room fully illuminated, he founds that some of the pipes were dipped into the various pools dotting the walkways as barely visible whirlpools indicate where most of the water was coming from.

He runs to every console in the room, searching their commands for a deactivation option to shut off the sprinklers but only found options to open and close the shutters as well as change the environment for testing purposes.  Looking towards one of the pools, he sees a large window taking up the wall below the surface, obviously to observe the various sea-based robots that have yet to appear, most likely due to their tanks being used to put out the fire in the control room and on Reggae.  The only dry passage leading to it was at the other end of the room from where he stood, making the harrowing attempt to fix the control room before anyone found out what had happened during the blackout.

Hierophant heaved a frustrated sigh and attempts to head over to the door only to be startled by a blaring klaxon echoing throughout the room.

BEGINNING AQUAMARINE SECURITY SCAN....  ALL PERSONNEL NOT LISTED IN DATABASE WILL BE EX-TER-MI-NA-TED....

No sooner had the oddly Dalek-sounding voice finished its sentence, the cameras strewn throughout the ceiling of the Aquamarine Lab started shooting scanning lights that began sweeping every inch of the room. Hierophant panics at the thought of being caught by one of the cameras; though his card is indestructible to all known hazards, he could still be knocked unconscious or weakened to the point of not being able to fly or project himself.

Fearing his lack of dexterity in dodging every single scan light that swept through the area, he reopens the shutter opens and sets the pool behind him to close, causing two doors to slide slowly towards each other.  He barely dodges a scan light sweeping across the console and makes a run for the closing tank, diving in just as the shutters connected.

As he began sinking towards the bottom, he saw the observation room's cameras begin activating their scanning lights, easily penetrating the windows in search of their given target.  He quickly swam towards the corner of the pool, well out of sight of the windows and the camera's fixed angles.  Buoyant as his body was, however, he couldn't take this moment to use his staff to locate Death and Emperor as its weight could drag him within sight of camera and their scan lights, leaving him stuck where he is until the entire room finished scanning.

After being unable to bypass the remaining six levels through the stairwell, and still being chased by Death, Emperor eventually returns to the more occupied fifth level, having seen the entire station back up and running.

There had been no sign of Hierophant, obviously too busy fixing the damaged he caused to continue pursuing him, though he starts to notice Death had seemingly disappeared.  Thinking he had lost her through his quick, ninja-like speed, he continues towards the door leading to the fifth level, poking his head through to find the entire hallway was sprinkling water with waterproof cameras scanning every inch of the area for what he could only assume to be intruders that didn't belong in the station.

Wiggling his eyebrows while snickering in anticipation for resuming his observation of Dr. Wily II's evil antics, Emperor fazed back into his card and slipped through the crack under the door, slithering through the hallways while easily dodging every scan light that passed through the area until he reached the control room, finding it still in shambles with the added annoyance of a broken pipe spilling water onto the crackling wires and dying fire.

"Not yet, it seems," he mutters to himself, "No matter.  Since those two spoil sports haven't found me yet, I can easily hide here until they get back."

"You sure about that, pretty man?" snickers a voice from behind.

Before Emperor could yelp in surprise, his card jolts, followed by a familiar scythe appearing before his apple-bulged neck.  Following the metallic stick attached to the curved blade, he sees Death standing directly behind him with an eager, devious smirk on her face.

"You might want to be a little quieter with your thoughts," Death muses, "There's no telling how many of these cameras have ears."

Emperor grits his teeth in frustration as Death leans closer to him, "You may be able to mimic a ninja perfect, but you're a million years from being as unnoticeable as the very shadow that accompanies Death."

Emperor's snarl eventually curls into a sinister smirk, "You think so?  Let's just see how unseen you really are before the lights of all that see us."

He then bounds backwards, knocking his and Death's card clear out of the control room.  As the once nonchalant reaper struggles to keep her scythe situated on Emperor's throat, the ninja-disguised tarot pulls out a bandaged sphere with a lit fuse out of his pocket and throws it into her face, causing a muffled explosion of fire to knock her back, separating her card from his.

Just as Death had regained her senses, one of the cameras began sweeping its scan light towards her, startling her into pivoting out of the way.  By the time the camera finished its sweep, Emperor had once again disappeared.  Death muffles an annoyed growl only to see another camera sweeping its light through the hallways, forcing her to retreat to the nearest dark room in the hallway, which happened to be another closet room.

Peeking through the crack of the doorway, she realizes that the plethora of lights dancing around would make it impossible for her to continue pursuing Emperor without being spotted, forcing her to stay hidden until the cameras finished their scan and went back to their usual stationary observations.

With the generator now working its own magic to restore functionality to the system, Hierophant deactivates his staff, not wanting to cause another blackout with his own restoration powers.

Now that the risky endeavor was out of the way, he can get back to finding Death and Emperor and getting out of the WDS.  But as he was turning to leave the basement, a sudden remembrance struck his mind; the control room is still in shambles because of Reggae's persistent attempts to expose them for his own amusement.

He knew he had more pressing matters to take care of, but there was no telling if WilyII has more than one control room, and he has no time to run up every level to find out.

Hierophant ran back into the stairwell and into the room below the first incline, finding an elevator next to the door.  With the power slowly coming back on, he rushes into the elevator and presses the fifth level button before pointing his staff towards the ceiling and casting Haste to speed up its ascent.  A few seconds pass before a jolt almost knocks him off his feet, followed by the elevator doors opening to the still brightening hallway.

But no sooner had he been greeted with a familiar sight, an agonized squawk echoed throughout the hallways as Reggae careened past the doors, his tail, wings and hair set ablaze and setting off the fire alarm and sprinklers one after another.

"Oh no...." Hierophant mutters before rushing out of the elevator and into the control room to find the console and its various monitors dropped back to its normal height while the crushed monitors sizzled and smoldered with dying spark fires from the fountain of water pouring from a broken sprinkler pipe.

Fixing this problem could have been as simple as pointing his staff at the damaged console and using his white magic to repair it, but with the sprinklers spilling like a rainstorm, just powering up the console would have caused an explosion that would take out the entire level, if not re-invoke the blackout he had risked his card to rectify.

He runs out of the control and follows the trail of pipes in the hopes of finding where the water was coming from and shut it off so he can get back to fixing the control console before WilyII and his two cohorts decide to head back to the control room, obviously by teleportation.

The caravan reaches what appears to be a migration stumbling through the ruins of of a neighborhood.  The Berbils driving the caravan look to each other before the one in the second seat, a rust-colored Berbil, picks up the walkie-talkie and turns it on.

"St. Acidburg citizens incoming," he spoke into the walkie-talkie, "Friends may be among them.  Stopping caravan to search."

As the caravan was beginning to stop, Chariot notices most of the citizens and been slowing to a stop while looking towards them.  Some of them had the three swords that signified their sense of betrayal and the bundle of ten wands burdening their struggle to cope, but something was wrong.

Two of the swords were hanging off their hands, waiting to be clutched and swung while their heads are adorn with a crescent moon forehead and horns seemingly drilled into the sides of their skull.  But only one trained under the tutelage of Tarot Cat's deck would be able to see this.

Chariot immediately grabs the walkie-talkie and shouts into it, "Keep driving!  You don't want to stop for these guys!"

Before the Berbils could figure out why, the entire caravan shakes as a large dent pops out of the right side of the trailer.  Looking out the nearest windows, they found some of the incoming citizens had detracted from their aimless lumber through the neighborhood and had begun attacking the caravan, shouting and screaming at them to get out.

The panda Berbil panics as he tries to back away from the citizens attacking from the front, but accidentally crashes into the ones swarming and clawing at the trailer to rip it open.

"Don't you guys have a loudspeaker you could use to calm these guys down!?" Chariot shouts amidst the banging and shaking.

"Of course, but Berbils lack material to amplify volume louder than noise outside." the red and white Berbil pipes.

The doors eventually burst inward as several terrified citizens clamber to get inside and grab the first thing that isn't bolted to the trailer.  Chariot yanks another spear out of the unexplained space under his cape, using the back end to beat and jab the frenzied citizens out only to suddenly get bashed in the face by a flying rock.  It wasn't forceful enough to knock him to the floor, but caused enough of an impact to break his nose and release ruby-like blood from his nostrils.

The second the Blood of Swords leaked out of his broken nose, the citizens clambering into the trailer felt a sense of negativity billowing from its quick-drying drops and freaked out, reaching out and attempting to grab and beat Chariot only to be kicked and stomped by his retaliating boots until the Berbils regained their senses and fought to shut the door, activating its emergency locking and buffing system to ensure no normal force would be able to break through.

Though slightly disoriented by the bludgeoning, Chariot scrambled over to the walkie-talkie and shouts into it.

"Drive!  Get away from this part of the neighborhood before they start upping the force!"

"Berbils trapped." the panda Berbil protests, "Berbils do not want to harm terrified innocence."

"If you want to find your friends, you're going to have to make some exceptions!" Chariot retorts, "Not to mention Vixy may have already sensed the negative energy fueling my Blood of Swords and could be coming down here any moment to check out the situation!  She finds out I'm the one giving off that negative energy and she'll think the entire caravan is a threat and destroy it without even bothering to check!"

A pipe breaks through the window of the truck, startling the panda Berbil further as he grabs the exposed in and shoves it back out, causing a domino reaction of citizens falling onto each other and provoking them to attack each other.

"Berbils listen to Chariot," the rust-colored Berbil exclaims monotonously. "Berbils do not like hurting innocence, but Berbils hate dying even more."

The panda Berbil looks towards his side-driving companion before reluctantly mashing his robotic foot against the wheel and speeding through the neighborhood, scaring oncoming citizens into either jumping out of the way or bracing for impact.

Chariot, meanwhile, collapses his back against the wall and slides to a sitting position while ripping the dried streaks of ruby from his broken nose.

Gotta concentrate....  Control my impulse and direct them to neutral energy....  I wasn't putting others first....  I was controlling the situation....  Controlling....  Direct my impulse to neutral energy so no one identifies me by injury alone....  Release nothing....

After what seemed like a few minutes, his hands started to pull and wipe away citrine-colored blood: the Blood of Pentacles that flows senseless energy through his materialized body.  He only has to keep this up until his nose stops bleeding.

"Neighborhood long; innocence still coming," the red and white Berbil said, "Caravan may be stuck here a while."

"As long as I keep focused on believing the impulses that fuel my Blood of Pentacles, we should be fine," Chariot mutters while shaking the ruby and citrine streaks and sheets from his hands, "Your best bet right now is to pray Vixy is at least willing to listen to our reason for being this reckless if she decides to fly down here to investigate.  But judging by what's going on right now and her ability to sense FRESCA, she might not even have to judge us before swooping down to control this situation."

Well, hopefully you're not allergic to spider bites.  My experience was watching that bite spread blood red marks throughout most of my arm.  I don't remember if it itched or hurt like crazy, only that it took almost a month or so to heal with little to no ointments helping it along.

And thus, I found a new reason to fear spiders crawling anywhere near my bed at night.

Hierophant heard the typing stop, suggesting one of two things, the generator had shut down, or WilyII is running some kind of diagnostics to get the rest of the station back up and running.

While he was aware that the Resistance is suffering mentally from what had just happened at St. Acidburg, he knew it would only be a matter of time before enough of their forces recover enough of their senses to launch an attack on the Wily Star II.  And considering how long it normally takes for any form of diagnostics to find and fix the problems that are blacking out the entire building, he worries the Resistance will have already found and torched the Star before WilyII ever has a chance to check up on its progress.

Programmed with all types of White Magic, Hierophant could try casting Haste to speed up the diagnostics, though only The Wheel of Fortune could properly control how fast the possessed item can be; he'd probably be lucky if he can speed up the diagnostic by a few minutes.

Still, he has to do something to get the entire station back up and running, otherwise he'll ruin the Plan B everyone has been talking over since the whole war began.

Keeping the staff pointed at the lights, he sneaks back down to where the generator is, pressing his stomach to the wall while poking one eye out to find everyone huddled around that evil-flowing crystal, and the generator console running its diagnostic, though he can't tell how far its' gotten with the amount of bodies blocking his view.  He quickly pulls away and turns his back to the wall, pulling the staff down to the yellow orb on his hat while hovering two of his fingers near his forehead and concentrating on its blue orb until it flashed a red, sparking light.

Not wanting to waste anymore time, as the lights were beginning to dim from the lack of substitute energy, Hierophant whips around and points his staff at the console, firing off the red orb of light as it disperses into small sparks upon contact with the surface of the keyboard and crawls around it until they found and squeezed into every exposed crack on the console.

He can't tell if the diagnostics were speeding up or not, but he also can't stick around to find out as he turns the staff back towards the lights and reestablishes his concentration to keep them brightly lit while making his way back towards the top of the stairs to wait for the results.
