Roleplay / Re: RPM POKEMON ADVENTURE THING
« on: June 04, 2013, 04:15:41 AM »
Hierophant observes the battle about to begin before walking over to Synthis as he was finishing lapping up the last few drops of water.

"If you're not too tired, I might need your help keeping watch of the Center until everyone's gone to bed," he said low enough for Synthis to hear.  The Leafeon cocks his head to the side while meowing in curiosity, "It's hard to explain without distracting a decently fair fight, but there's something going on outside and you're the only one who was able to stay active through Synthesis, so I may need you to help me patrol the town and make sure no other problems arise while everyone else is recuperating from their own ordeals."

Synthis looks between him and the rest of the group that were still awake before turning his attention back to Hierophant and nodding in acceptance.  The materialized card nods as well before getting up and walking towards the entrance of the Pokemon Center with Synthis following right beside him.

"In that state, its physical strength and defense are half what they normally are," Hierophant points out, "But his Special Attacks remain the same as when he was at full size."

Hierophant looks around again to make sure no one was around, or the oncoming presence hasn't noticed the glowing light before heading over to a nearby dumpster and using its lid to climb up onto roof to check up on the Zekrom.

Upon arriving near the center of the Center's roof, he finds the Zekrom observing its new height, obviously unfamiliar with being this close to the ground.  Letting out a somewhat relieved sigh, he walks over and picks the Zekrom up.

"Let's get you inside," he said, "I have a feeling we might be spotted by that Team Rocket member from earlier."

Although the Zekrom felt awkward having to be held for the first time, it seems to understand where Hierophant was getting at and nods in acceptance.  Hierophant quickly climbs back down to terra firma before heading back inside to hand it over to Sakura.

Hierophant rubbed his chin in concern.  He was out of magical energy, but he knew the Pokemon she was asking to shrink may be too rare and valuable to leave out in the open.

"It shouldn't be too much of a problem.  I'll just need to refuel my magical energy first."

He then heads back into the sleeping quarters he rented and pulls a duffel bag from the top left bunk.  He looks around while sensing for any unfamiliar presences before pulling the bag open and speaking into it.

"Rokenbass."

The inside of the bag flashed before he stuck his hand in and dug around until he pulled out a cylindrical jar full of sapphire-colored liquid and a sizable cork wedged into the lid.  He observes the jar a moment before pulling the lid off and quickly downing the contents, causing his entire body to glow and rejuvenate some of his magical energy.  He takes a moment to let out a quenched sigh before putting the empty bottle back into the bag and heading outside to find the dragon Pokemon pointed out earlier.

He didn't have to look long before noticing, somewhat faintly, a large, bipedal dragon standing somewhat fierce on the uneven roof of the Pokemon Center.

A Pokemon that size could draw attention from the glowing effects of his Mini spell, but since most of the town has turned in for the night, he wouldn't have to worry too much about it; though he couldn't help but feel as if there was a familiar, greedy force making its way back here.  Deciding not to waste anymore time, he points the staff towards the outstanding Zekrom.

"Mini!"

The orb glows brightly before flying off towards the Pokemon and surrounding him in a swirling ribbon of light, shrinking him down to the size of a Riolu.

Riolu, Plusle and Minun had since stopped their chosen Copycat abilities and decided to join Pyro for a slice of cake themselves.

Hierophant and Genbu eventually return, having brought a tray full of milk and water as he had seemingly sensed a change in dinning choices.

"There should be a few more vacant rooms you can sleep in just in case you don't want anyone else knowing about your rare Pokemon," he suggested while going around and holding the tray towards Riolu, Plusle and Minun, who quickly grab their respected jars of milk to wash down the cake they had been eating.  Synthis, not particularly in the mood for anything sweet, began pawing at the bottle of water, prompting Hierophant to put down a rice bowl and filling it with said water.

The original Oracle Man picked up the now visible miter, studying its surprisingly unscathed, but smoldering tip before looking towards his clones, the confused clone having since righted the cause of his malfunction.

"Follow the intruder using Oracle Sight," he commands, "Whoever he is has only succeeded in delaying the inevitable.  I will take his hat to Master Wily II and see what he has planned once we finally have him in our grasp."

The clones did nothing but clap their hands together and bow towards him, then teleported out to allow him room to move back to the control room to report his progress.

Hierophant poked his head into the scrapyard, looking around until he found Emperor's white outline card fazed into one of the piles.

"Looks like he's finally running out of places to hide," Death muses a bit.  Hierophant remains silent as he attempts to enter the room only to be surrounded by seven teleportation beams, all forming into identical Orcale Man clones, their eyes still glowing as the effects brought his and Death's white outlines back into physical view.

"There is no escape," one of the clones said, "We can sense the immediate future, and know where you'll be hiding regardless of what you use to escape us...."

Hierophant grits his teeth as he looks between them and where Emperor is hiding.  Realizing the clones could only predict his immediate outcome, he quickly leaps over the clones standing outside the scrapyard and attempts to run down the hall, drawing their attention as they vacate the area and start chasing after him, all but forgetting Death who looked between Emperor and Hierophant before reluctantly flying off after him, feeling it best to try and keep Emperor's presence from being known.

Chariot was no less than a few yards from the Fxenidome when he suddenly jumped out in front of a mortified crowd trying to flee from Wreck-It Man's aimless rampage to destroy everything that looked fully functional or whole.

"That's the knight that was causing trouble back in the neighborhood!" one shouts.

"He must have brought that manic robot here to give us even more hell!' another shouts.

"Get him!"

Chariot grits his teeth before screeching to a halt, pivoting around and scrambles into an abandoned building, prompting the crowd to slam into the doorframe and almost kill each other trying to squeeze through to get to him.  Not wanting to stop and see how much damage he had caused this time, he fled through the back door of the same building and scrambles into the Fexnidome, covering his entire face as it was still bleeding, this time deteriorated back to his negative Blood of Swords due to a lapse in concentration caused by a momentary lack of faith in himself.

"Right....  Priority #1, find something to stop the bleeding...." he grumbles while looking around the interior of the Fxenidome for something that might help.

There were several sickbays deep within the area, an obvious indication that this vehicle wasn't a one-man control station.  Without further questioning the concept, Chariot runs into one of the sickbays and digs through their cabinets until he uncovered an old fashion bottle of Potion, complete with a wooden cork.

"Whatever stops the bleeding," he mutters before flicking the cork off and downing the Potion, causing a mild relief from the pain riddling his face.

After ripping the dried, crystalline trickles from his face, Chariot runs back to the entrance of the Fxenidome and peeks out to see where Wreck-It Man had disappeared to now.  No sooner had he peeked outside, the giant lumberjack robot bashed through another building and disappeared into another building, causing more crashing and screaming from those too oblivious to the situation to attempt a get away.

There wasn't much he could do at the moment, knowing that his destruction would shut down Fix-It Man and Paint-It Man before they could finish the Star, costing Hajime any chance of escaping any further free dealings from WilyII.  But at the same time he couldn't stay in the background and let their manic brother continue to wreck the entire city.

Chariot looks around the immediate area until he found, surprisingly, a pristine barrel of Legos almost buried under the rubble.

"I must be as stupid as my original counterpart if I do this...." he grumbles before running out and grabbing the barrel of Legos, then rushing off after Wreck-It Man in the hopes of grabbing his attention before he puts more people in danger.

Riolu looked towards Plusle and Minun, barking something before running over to the group with the two nodding in agreement and following after him.  Riolu looks towards Plusle and barked some more commands, to which Plusle nods and attempts to Copycat Zen Headbutt, then barks another set of commands to Minun, who nods and joins him in attempting to Copycat Psychic, all aimed towards where Mewtwo was focusing his connection.

Hierophant watched from the background before looking over to Synthis, "You think you have enough energy to give everyone a boost?"

Synthis looks towards Hierophant before nodding and meowing eagerly.  Hierophant nods as well before pointing towards the Pokemon and Mewtwo, "Alright.  Give them your best Helping Hand!"

Synthis meows while stomping his front paws on the floor until a glowing outline surrounds his body, causing the other Pokemon's Special Attacks to grow stronger.

Genbu looks towards Hierophant, wondering if he can help, given his current lack of supporting abilities.  The materialized card looks towards him while compressing his lips, then looks towards the end of the hallway where the cafeteria is.

"There isn't much more we can do, but we can at least get some refreshments once this whole ordeal is over."

Genbu groans in frustration, but nods nonetheless and lets Hierophant carry him towards the cafeteria to see what was left over in the pantry.

Both Hierophant and Ryo looked towards Mewtwo in concern.  They can sense, in their own ways, that something was toying with Mewtwo's mind, but what they didn't have the knowledge or ability to uncover.

"I guess we'll have to worry about that when the time comes," Hierophant suggested, "Right now, let's worry about resting ourselves up so we aren't half dead by the time some other disaster tries to attack us."

Once everyone has gathered close enough to Hierophant, he raised his staff into the air, "Teleport!"

A wide beam of light surrounds everyone as they feel a sudden, but quick shift in gravity before the light fades, revealing the still lit lobby of the Stone Town Pokemon Center.

It seems everyone was either distracted by other activities or weren't around to notice the large beam of light blasting into the room and forming a large group of complete strangers.

Once the group closest to Hierophant moved away, he lets out a seemingly exhausted sigh and and bends over to rest his hands on his knees.

"Well.... that's it...." he mutters before standing straight and rubbing his blue, slightly messy hair, "I'm completely tapped of magical energy.  Anymore spells and I'll drain my own stamina."

"That's about the best I can do right now," Hierophant said, "I only have enough magical energy for two more spell, and I need to use one of them to shrink Genbu so he can safely stay in the Pokemon Center."

He then looks towards everyone else, "The second I can use to take us to the Pokemon Center without having to waste anymore physical energy getting there.  If you want, you can gather around me and I'll teleport you to the lobby in Stone Town; hopefully without startling Nurse Joy in the process."

Synthis, Genbu, Ryo, Plusle and Minun immediately walked over to him, wanting to join in on his teleportation spell.  Hierophant takes this moment to point the staff towards Genbu.

"Mini!"

The same glow emitted from the orb before flying off and surrounding Genbu, shrinking him back to the size of a Turtwig.  He then picks him up as the other Pokemon move closer to him to avoid being left out of his short teleportation range.

Ryo, Plusle and Minun just stared at what had happened, realizing their effort to help only showed their sheer inexperienced in the ways of patience and observation.  Ryo muffled a few growls while flopping to a sitting position and rubbing his temple; Plusle and Minun followed suit, only this time, they released exasperate breaths than looked for a strained vein to rub.

Hierophant sighed as well while sitting on, Indian-style on Genbu's back, "So, now what...?  I don't think we're in a position to go anywhere without getting our minds wiped.  I think the best thing to do is just stay here until Mewtwo gets better before going back to our own task."

He then looks towards Sakura's exhausted state.  Rest would have been the best thing for her, but with nine transparent swords surrounding her, it probably wasn't a good idea to let her drift to sleep with so much anguish haunting her.

He hops off Genbu's back and walks over to her, holding his staff a few inches from her forehead.

"Cure!"

The orb flashes before springing towards her, filling her with small sparkles as a renewed sense of calm washes over the negative feelings haunting her mind.

Without waiting to see if his spell worked, he looked towards Quickie after hearing her pop the question.

"There's a town not too far from here," he said, "That's where we last stopped before being drawn out here.  I think it's still vacant and the cafeteria hasn't closed yet."

Ryo growls in frustration before leaping off of Genbu and landing just outside the bush they were standing behind.

"Ryo, I don't think...!" Hierophant attempted to say only to be interrupted by Plusle and Minun jumping off after the Riolu and flanking his sides.

The two pulled their paws back as a glowing energy formed from their palms before thrusting them forward, shouting a noise that almost sounded like "osu" as they unleashed "Helping Hand" towards Mewtwo, boosting his attack power three times more than what he originally started with.

Hierophant grits his teeth in concern, feeling it was too soon, yet also understanding that with everything else hampering Mewtwo's ability to concentrate, waiting until he was down on his luck may only end up costing them the confidence they needed to be just as trustful cheerleaders as the squad they were raised into.

Ryo flinched as the rippling distraught sweeps through his senses, making his struggle to control his yearn to help all the more difficult.  Hierophant compresses his lips as his sights and senses detected something different.

Seen only by him and those taught under the tutelage of one of Tarot Cat's cards, ten transparent, wooden wands practically imprison his very presence while eight swords appear to be wedged close to his armor-like flesh, further empowering the restrictive sensation that is affecting Mewtwo's performance and need to focus on what is standing directly in front of him.  Any normal person viewing this would think him trapped and helpless but if one where to look deeper at Mewtwo's presence, nine pentacles seem to be pushing against the outnumbering wands and swords, indicating his struggle and determination to fight past whatever was putting him in this state of agony.

Hierophant couldn't tell what was causing him to be in so much struggle, but right now there was very little he could do, and chances were once this situation does pass he and the other Pokemon will have no memory of what just went on, so it probably wouldn't be any point in pondering the possibilities.

Ryo runs over to Hierophant and tugs on his leg, pointing towards the battle.  He looks towards him as Plusle and Minun flank his side, then the battle about to ensue.

"I dunno....  According to Blazrkieg, you have to wait until they cry for help before jumping in to assist.  But since we're in a territory that doesn't know this, and this doesn't look like an official Pokemon battle, I suppose you could wait until he's close to distressed before interfering."

Ryo and his two cheering cohorts groan in concern as they look back towards the oncoming battle, wondering if they'll even get the chance to help considering the already outweighed odds.

"I see...." Hierophant mutters before scratching his head worriedly, "Well, I'm sure one of you has the ability to erase memories, but I should warn you, we mostly came here because one of us was getting restless and didn't want to let things be until he was certain you were okay.  If you do try to revert us back to where we last remember, it's only going to result in an annoying loop I'm sure one of you might not want to tolerate."

He then groans and looks towards Ryo, his hand still on his head as some sign of sympathetic embarrassment than frustration at Ryo's rash behavior, "Now do you see why I didn't want to come out here just after getting settled in Stone Town?  You could at least be a little more considerate of the people around him before getting all antsy and desperate to check things out."

Ryo let's out a child-like groan before flopping to a sitting position and placing his chin on his paws.  Plusle and Minun squeaked their names as they flank his side and pats his shoulders.

Hierophant remained nonchalant as he lowered his staff, putting his unequipped hand on Synthis' head as a way of keeping him and Genbu from attacking out of defense of their friends, "One of you sent an aura ripple that made one of us concerned for their condition.  We came out here to make sure they were okay."

It was obvious they weren't in the best condition to put up a fight even if they came out of hostility.  Genbu looked like he had reached the end of his energy, though it had nothing to do with the weight of his companions as they had spent most of their own journey on foot before eventually climbing onto his Island-like shell and letting him carry them the rest of the way.  It also didn't help that they abandoned dinner just to come out here despite trusting in the group's ability to tend to the distressed aura.

Mental thoughts weren't the easiest to suppress from someone with psychic abilities; something Hierophant had forgotten after being spotted by one of the Mews.  Then again, with two Mews in the area, Vanish would be completely pointless with their ability to see past it.

Leafeon looked towards Hierophant, nudging him to flee, but he lets out a reluctant sigh and rubs his temple.

"There's no point, Synthis; Genbu's just going to create an earthquake if he tries to run...." he pauses a moment to look at his staff, "I just hope I have enough energy and experience to remove the effect from everyone...."

He then stands up and holds the staff as high as his arm could stretch, "Dispelga!"

The group aware of Mewtwo's gaze saw a bright ball of light balloon to the size of an orange before dispersing into swirling ribbons of energy that slowly brought him and the other five Pokemon back to existence.  He didn't mind of the Mews purge their memories as long as the group they were with doesn't see them as a threat and attack them without at least giving him a chance to explain his presence.

"Hold on a sec," Hierophant whispered, causing Torterra to stop just as they were nearing where the distressed Pokemon and the group following it was, "There's no telling if the group following that Pokemon are willing to trust a passerby even if they were merely walking by.  If we're going to observe the group from a distance and not provoke a fight, we're going to have to spend the rest of the trip unseen."

Ryo looks towards him, wondering what he had in mind.  Hierophant looks towards his staff, then the card on his back before sighing in uncertainty.

"There's a spell that can keep us from being seen, but we have to be quiet from this point on, or they might have their Pokemon use an attack that will dispel it."

He gets up and grasps the tree sticking out of Torterra's shell, "Gather around and hold onto me.  It'll take too long if I use it one at a time."

The remaining four Pokemon nod and did as told, Plusle and Minun climbing onto his shoulders while Ryo wrapped his arms around his waist and Leafeon bounced onto his hind legs and wrapped his paws around the arm still grasping the tree.  Once feeling everyone's tightness around him, Hierophant raised his staff into the air.

"Vanish!"

The orb glows brightly as crystal-like entities popped out around it while trailing down towards him and the rest of the Pokemon, causing them to blip out of physical sight.  The effort, however, almost strained his mental stamina as he collapses to his hands and knees, but the exhaustion doesn't last long.

"Phew....  I can see why other mages can only cast this spell on one target at a time....  Let's hope I have enough magical energy left to reverse the spell once we get back to the Pokemon Center...."

He then taps Torterra's mossy back, prompting him to continue onward while Riolu, Plusle and Minun spend the remainder of the trip observing the white outline that could only be seen by those affected by Vanish.

They soon reach where the distressed Pokemon was, finding, to Hierophant's confusion at least, two forms of Mew surrounded by a few humans and aerial-type Pokemon.

I guess that explains why Ryo was so eager to come out here.... Hierophant thinks to himself as they try to stay in the shadows of the forest.  Although Vanish keeps them from being seen, he knew the Mew species can at least sense a presence regardless of what kind of power controls their tangibility.  Neither he, nor the trio that accompanies him, Leafeon and Torterra were ready to get involved in a group until Ryo finds his Everstone and chooses how he wants to perfect his cheering techniques.

As the group of five Pokemon and a materialized Tarot Card were scanning the cafeteria pantry for something to lull them to sleep with full, comfortable tummies, Riolu's dog-like flaps suddenly bounced as he sensed a ripple in the aura stream.

"Ro?"

The others stopped their searching upon sensing his reaction and looked towards him as he swung his head around to figure out where the ripple was coming from.

"Something wrong, Ryo?" Hierophant asked.

Ryo's gaze fixated towards where the entrance to Stone Town is located and runs off to follow the source of the rippling aura.  Hierophant tried to call out to him, but he had already turned the corner by the time he turned to reach out for him.  Compressing his lips in concern as he looks towards Plusle and Minun who wasted no time running out after Ryo, leaving the remaining trio to watch their departure before looking to each other for ideas and questions on what just happened.

"Let's follow them," Hierophant said, picking up the momentarily miniature Torterra and running after the fleeing Pokemon.  Leafeon watched before galloping off after him.

Upon reaching the entrance they find Ryo, Plusle, and Minun standing near the open gates; the cheering Pokemon looking towards their Riolu leader as he continue to scan the area for anymore ripples.

"Is there someone out there that needs help?" Hierophant asked.  Ryo continues to look around before turning his head towards him, seeming to seek his more widely ranged Tarot sensing abilities to pick up where the ripples had ended.

Hierophant studied his aura before looking back towards the horizon that was the route between Fuchia's Safari Zone and Cinnabar Island.  There appears to be faint signs of life, mostly Pokemon belonging to some humans who appear to be heading for Fuchia's main city, but were halted by something affecting one of their Pokemon.

"Whatever it is, its too far for us to reach on foot," Hierophant said, "Besides, at this time of night, there's no telling who else might be lurking about, waiting to snatch you and force you to be their pet."

Ryo seemed desperate to want to know more about that particular Pokemon's predicament as he grabs Hierophant's hand and tugs on him to follow after him and get a closer look.  Hierophant grit his teeth in concern as Plusle and Minun joined in on the tugging.  Whatever happened to that Pokemon, they obviously couldn't rest without at least knowing it was okay.  He looks towards his Torterra and Leafeon, who's only response was to stare back at him for commands, before sighing in reluctance.

"Alright, let's go check it out," he said before putting on a stern face, "But only just.  We've been on the road for most of the day and we're not exactly in the best shape to get into a fight if one breaks out."

Ryo, Plusle and Minun nod in acceptance as Hierophant placed Torterra on the ground and points his staff towards him.

"Esuna!"

The orb on his staff glows bright before flying off and exploding into smaller sparkles around Torterra, returning him to his original, Isle-like size.  They then climb on and head off in the direction Hierophant pointed in, staying well in the shadows of the forest to avoid being spotted and provoked into a battle they had no energy to fight in.

Upon arriving at the Stone Town Pokemon Center, Hierophant rented the usual two bunk room to rest up and prepare for the long day of excavation and digging.

"I'm going to go find the cafeteria and see what we can get to eat," Hierophant said, "Any of you want to come along and find something to eat?"

Leafeon meows as he jumps up and down in excitement, while Torterra, stuck outside due to his size, groans in disappointment while tilting his head.  Hierophant grimaces while scratching the back of his head.

"Oh...that's right, you're too big to fit through the door...." he mutters, "Well...I could put you in a Pokeball and-"

Hearing this caused Torterra to freak out and stomp in place, causing the entire foundation to shake from his out of control Earthquake attack.  Though unaffected, Hierophant grimaces while putting his hands up in defense.

"I know you don't like being in a Pokeball, but it's only for a few seconds!  If you could just calm down-"

Torterra continued to freak out and worsen the Earthquake to the point of hearing crashing noises in other rooms.  Not wanting to be blamed for any damages Hierophant waves his hands up and down.

"Alright, alright!  I won't put you in a Pokeball!  I'll think of some other way of getting you in here!"

Torterra eventually calms down upon hearing that promise, though his nervous expression still remains.  Hierophant looks between his Leafeon, then Riolu, Plusle and Minun before sighing again and scratching his blue hair, slightly messy hair.

"Even if there are empty benches near the windows, it'll be a hassle feeding you with only your head fitting into the room...."

He then looks at the card plastered to his back, compressing his lips in concern before holding his hands together and spreading them out, summoning his gold staff.

"Hope this works...." he mutters before pointing the staff towards Torterra, "MINI!"

On command, the blue orb at the end of his staff glows white before firing off towards Torterra, causing his entire body to glisten while suddenly shrinking out of sight of the window.  Tightening the compression of his lips in more concern, Hierophant runs over to the window and looks out to find the once large Continent Pokemon had now been reduced to the size of a mature Turtwig.

"Terra!  Terra!" Torterra squeals with excitement while bouncing onto his hind legs and waving his stubby paws towards Hierophant's outstretched figure.  Letting out a relieved sigh, he climbs out the window and picks up Torterra.

"Wow....  I can't believe that actually worked," he chuckles, "You almost look like the Turtwig you once were when I first adopted you."

"Tor!"

Hierophant climbs back into the room and places Torterra down, allowing the other Pokemon to gather around and admire his new size.

"I should make a habit of shrinking you down when we go to places that allow Pokemon to wander outside their Pokeballs," Hierophant said before heading towards the doorway leading back to the main lobby of the Pokemon Center, "Let's get going.  Dinner should be starting soon!"

The other Pokemon cry out their respected names before following after him towards the cafeteria.

Hierophant scrambled out of the back wall of the control room, looking around for someplace to hide and search for Emperor when Oracle Man suddenly appeared from all sides, his eyes still glowing as he still had his Oracle Sights activated and now doubled seven times more than he originally appeared.

At this magnitude, not only was he and Death surrounded, their Oracle Sights made their white outlines as bright as neon lights.

"You can never escape me," one of them said, trying to confuse and disorient Hierophant and Death.

"I know where you are and how to ensure you never escape Dr. Wily II's punishment," another said.

Hierophant looks around his surrounding predicament before groaning in frustration.

"I'm sorry, I seriously don't have time for this!"

He then points his staff towards one of the Oracle Man clones, "CONFUSE!"

A light gray glow surrounds the blue orb on his staff before firing off towards the targeted clone, causing a his Oracle Sight to turn off and render any chance of predicting his movements ineffective, though it didn't stop the other seven's Oracle Sights from keeping him out in the open.

"It will take more than one corrupted clone to stop the rest of us," the next clone said as the group continues to close in, their head gems glowing in preparation of firing off their Oracle Beams.

Unfortunately, their focus on Hierophant had left them ignorant to the affected clone slowly losing more of his conscience as static and other visual anomalies began flashing in front of him, making it impossible for him to try and figure out who's where or what he should be shooting at.  Struggling to stick with what he knows, he fires off his Oracle Beam at where he last remembered Hierophant standing at.

Unsure of how magical the beam coming at him was, Hierophant drops flat onto his stomach with his wings spread as straight as their magical structure could muster, only leaving his miter in the line of fire as the beam passes straight through it and hits one of the other clones standing in the same trajectory who predicted the outcome and redirected his charging beam to premature projectile, increasing the partially magical effect and dispelling the miter's invisibility, causing it to faze through Hierophant's head and almost blind him as he continues to lay flat on the floor.

Because the rest of him was still invisible, he couldn't push the exposed miter out of the way to figure out what was going on, forcing him to lift his head just enough to bypass its obscuring tangibility to see the rest of the clones aiming their the jewel on their turbans towards him and preparing to fire off their combined Oracle Beams.  Hierophant grit his teeth before clutching Death and his staff closer towards him.

"Teleport!" he shouts.

The staff glows white before a large beam of light shoots up towards the ceiling, engulfing them just as the rest of the clones fired their Oracle Beams towards him, hitting the beam instead as it shrinks away, leaving nothing but the surprisingly unscathed miter in its departure.

The light eventually fades, allowing Hierophant to open his eyes and figure out where he teleported himself and Death to, finding themselves in another part of the fifth level hallway.

"Of all the places you could have teleported us to, you chose to take us to another area of the hallway?" Death sighs in disappointment.

"You know how hard it is to think straight when you have six magical beams coming at you at once!?" Hierophant nearly snaps, though struggles hard to keep it to a low hiss.  He then clambers back onto his feet, "In any case, we're at least far enough from that robot to not get caught in his Oracle Sight, so we can at least focus on finding out where Emperor teleported himself this time."

They didn't have to look long when they noticed a card-shaped glow coming from the scrapyard a few feet in front of them.  Not wanting to waste anymore time and lure other beings able to see through their invisibility, they ran towards the scrapyard in the hopes of finally digging Emperor out and hauling him away from the WDS.
