Roleplay / Re: RPM POKEMON ADVENTURE THING

Back at the Pokemon Center, Quickie paced outside.  She knew that Mewtwo was on his way, as he had sent her a brief signal, but there was another problem; they would need to leave Stone Town immediately.  It would be foolish of them to stay, as Team Rocket could very well return.  And due to the attention the earlier raid had brought the area, the group would be wise to stick to side roads and avoid public areas.

Quickie looked to Sakura and the others.  "When they get here, we need to leave.  Like immediately.  We can't hang around, as we're sitting Psyducks."

Hierophant compressed his lips at the prospect of losing their only means of finding the Everstone.  But he also didn't want to endanger Ryo and his two cheering companions as they were his responsibility, not his companions.

As he was thinking about how to break the news to the trio, Ryo, Posu and Nega rush back into the room, the Riolu most likely sensing concern and heading back to make sure everything was okay.  Each of them had a berry of sorts in their hands, indicating they were in the middle of eating when he sensed the ripples in the main lobby.

Hierophant sighed in concern before walking over and couching down to Ryo, placing his hands on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry, but it looks like we're either looking somewhere else, or waiting a little longer to find the Everstone," he said, "Team Rocket is dead set on getting Mewtwo back, and I also don't want them getting more information on the cards than what the trio and that guy on the Skarmory are already causing."

Ryo groans in disappointment, but also seems to understand that he and his brethren would be put through similar situations so he should try to put those into consideration instead of complaining about what he wanted.

As Skarmory drew closer to the ship, Carr began having second thoughts of attacking right away.  Sure he could use the Hanged Man to control Mewtwo and deal with all the Pokemon that might attack him, but then there are those other trainers who seem to have some connection with Mewtwo.  If he really is psychic, he could easily summon them with a mere blink, and because the blue haired boy also possesses a card, he would have some easy solution to reclaim the cards and ruin his chances of gaining dominance over Team Rocket.

"Let's just follow this ship back to its supposed 'trainer'," Carr mutters to Skarmory, "That way I can catch them by surprise and do away with them before I take Mewtwo under MY wing and use him to do away with that rotten half-ass of a leader...."

Skarmory didn't seem to respond, but slowly and quietly flies below the ship and situates itself near the center of its belly to avoid being spotted as they begin following it back to where Mewtwo was intending to reunite with the other trainers.

Seeing the mountainside crumble and a giant ship emerging from the debris, Carr's sinister sneer widens.  He can sense the abominable creation wallowing within, wounded by the shot given by Giovanni.

With the power of the Wheel of Fortune, he could easily stop this ship and steal the creation for himself, but knows doing so will give the half-wit followers an opportunity to pile on and retake what should rightfully be his.  And there's only so much magical energy he could use before he becomes powerless once again.

"But...." he snickers to himself as he looks towards the deck stuck under the layers of tape, "If I attach the Fool card to me, I'll be able to use the Ether to recharge all the attacks I've gathered from every Pokemon that attack me.  Then I won't have to waste the magical energy needed to cast the spells of the Wheel of Fortune card and be forced to wait another 24hrs for it to recharge; I can just use it in dire emergencies."

Skarmory suddenly looks behind it and pivots out of the way, barely missing a fiery streak as it flies through the air and lands on one of the stumps on the mountain.  The fire dissipates to reveal Excalibur arched forward and ready to pounce again while Chariot sat on his back, holding his spear back as if preparing to thrust it towards his target.

"As much as I want to give Team Nutso a hard time, I'd rather they not know anymore about the cards than what you're already figuring out!" Chariot proclaims.

Carr grits his teeth in frustration, "You....  How did you get here so fast!  I used the strongest speed-boosting spell available!"

"Your forgetting Excalibur can boost his own speed if he uses Flame Charge enough times," Chariot snickers cockily, "Granted he's almost down to two more attempts, but I did manage to store an Pokemon-type Ether so the trip back won't be as taxing."

Carr tsks in annoyance before smirking, "No matter!  Both of you are nothing more than flies squashed against the windshield of a plane!"

He then thrusts his hand towards the two, "STOP!"

Both Chariot and Excalibur glowed, but while the knight was unable to move, The Arcanine barely manages to maintain control of his joints and slowly and strenuously open its mouth to gather embers for a fire attack.

Carr's eyes widen in horror, "What!?  No way!  You should be stiff as a statue!"

He arches his hand back and thrusts it towards Excalibur again, "STOP!"

Nothing happens as Excalibur continues to gather embers before slowly spewing a swirl of fire towards him and Skarmory.

"Pull up!  Pull up!" Carr exclaims, causing Skarmory to zip high into the air.  Carr tsks in more aggravation before turning his focus back towards the exposed black ship, "Forget them!  Even if that Arcanine can still move, it still won't be able to catch up to my one true desire!"

Skarmory roared before continuing its pursuit towards the Grand Rhydon, Carr yanking Fool out of the deck and slapping it onto his forehead, picture first.

"With the card facing in front of me, I'm bound to obtain more powers without having to wait for it to come at me...." he snickers sinisterly as he leans further towards Skarmory's back.

Excalibur, meanwhile attempts to chase after them despite still being hampered by the Stop spell cast on him and Chariot.

Hierophant had been using his Sight spell to keep watch of the situation after Sapph returned.

"He's getting close to where Mewtwo is," he mutters, "And he's already used Wheel of Fortune's power to stop Chariot and Excalibur."

Synthis plopped his front paws on the bench next to Hierophant, meowing for any ideas.  He looks towards him, then the rest of the group before sighing in reluctance, "I should have enough magical energy to teleport to where Chariot is, but I can't guarantee we won't put ourselves in danger in the process."

Using the time altering, foreseeing abilities of the Wheel of Fortune card, Carr increases the speed of his Skarmory to the mountain where Giovanni is predicted to have appeared.  Unlike the Fool Card, who tried futilely to break free of the duct tape he wrapped around Tarot Skitty and the remaining Hanged Man card, who continues to do nothing but chew on his twig, Wheel of Fortune willingly provided him with the foresight and strategy needed to bypass any security that might be surrounding Giovanni and axe him from the front lines so he can finally take the reigns like he was promised in the past.

Just thinking about that moment infuriates him, the thought of being tricked into finding a legendary Pokemon with the promise of being next in line, only to be shoved to the side in favor of his long lost son, who didn't even want anything to do with this organization.  Giovanni was a fool for wanting to choose a boy he shamelessly abandoned over someone who devoted his entire life to serving and eventually leading Team Rocket to the glory they so rightfully deserved!

There was a commotion going on in the mountain; he can feel it.  Every deadbeat loyalist was focused shooting down the very creation they spent most of their funds and research birthing into the ultimate weapon, and Giovanni, greedy overlord that he is, is at the front of the lines, taking potshots every chance he gets.

"If I can use these cards to tame that creation and turn it against the very man who funded its creation," Carr seethes mostly to his Skarmory, "Then the rest of the organization will see just how powerful I am and bow before my very existence.  Now that fool, Giovanni will have no choice but to acknowledge me as the true successor to the throne...!"

He slaps his hand on Skamory's back, "HASTE!"

Skamory glows red as its speed increased, allowing it to continue careening towards the mountain in the direction the Wheel of Fortune card predicted the fiasco was taking place.

Eh, it's only a matter of time before things turn serious.  It's ALMOST (I will never EVER EVER admit that it will always be) like Busy World where we have almost a hundred pages of comedic nonsense and at least one serious arc where the universe almost goes to [parasitic bomb] before being saved by Deus--er Dragon Sky.  I believe that's about the only thing keeping it from falling into near complete unreadability (And that's stretching it to within an inch of everyone's tolerance, I know, just keep that in mind at least).

I pretty much intend for Carr's encounter with the Grend Rhydon as it's escaping Team Rocket's mountain base will be somewhat comical when he tries slapping all three cards onto him in an attempt to control more than just gravity.

"There's a total of 22; the equivalent to the Major Arcana of original tarot card decks," Hierophant said, "Each of them have their own powers and abilities that they can either share to whoever sticks them on their body, preferably the back more for less embarrassing reasons, or unleash if they were inserted in Tarot Skitty or fully materialized through other cards inserted in Tarot Skitty."

He then rubs the back of his head again, "I can't tell you where the rest of them are, both for safety reasons and because most of them are as sentient as the everyday human, so it's hard for them to stay in one place without Tarot Skitty around to keep them in-deck."

"Technically, those three were the only ones that stayed with Tarot Ca...er...Skitty prior to being attacked by the trio from earlier," Hierophant said, "I can't say how Fool was being forced to work for them, but I'm sure Hanged Man had nothing better to do than be used as a puppet, and the Wheel of Fortune most foresaw something that made it want to help Team Rocket regardless of how ruthless they are."

He sat down on a nearby bench while the cheering Pokemon trio ran off to the cafeteria to find something to eat, "The others would have at least tried to put up a fight before being forced onto their opposer's backs and forced to cooperate until they're yanked free.  Tarot Skitty and its cards are a complicated machine even the person who created them hasn't fully understood their potentials beyond finding the materials needed to harness and control magical properties that give them those powers."

Hierophant watched everyone return to the Pokemon Center, all seeming to have disregarded the fact that Team Rocket was about to have some powerful knowledge that will have more than just the trio bearing down his neck.  Thankfully, Chariot was already pursuing them, so his only concern was whether to help him get them back, or return to helping Ryo find his Everstone.

Things have gotten hectic, so he feels the first thing was to take the Pokemon left behind back to the Center and let them rest despite not having contributed to the fight.  Perhaps this long rest will help clear his mind and help him decide which situation should be his top priority.  With this in mind, he starts to follow the group back towards the Pokemon Center in Stone Town to rent another room for the night.

Pyro then walked up to the dogpiled Team Rocket and held up Bruce the Psyduck who was still licking his lollipop.

"'Sides, Mr. Pluumber Man wants a new Psyduck, not a Pikachu!"

Jessie glares angrily towards Pyro before knocking James and Meowth off and pointing towards Carr, "Don't just stand there!  Get those cards back!"

Yanmega and Woobat flew towards Carr, one unleashing Silver Wind on Carr while Woobat used Air Slash on his Skarmory.

"So quick to fight back when you know you're already out beat!?" Carr chortles as he pulls out the Hanged Man card and sticks it on his back before thrusting his hands out, causing the wind attacks to stop in their tracks and fly back to their respected attackers, knocking them into a nearby tree.

While this was going on, the Fool card manages to wiggle his way out of the deck and attempts to fly into the white Skitty's mouth only to be caught by Carr's Skarmory who had been watching the deck since it got most of its cards back.  Carr pulls the card out of its beak and leers at him sinisterly.

"You, I will especially enjoy using against Giovanni and his deadbeat followers.  With the ability to obtain and learn every Pokemon move in existence, I will show those blind fools what a true leader can do!"

He then shoves the card back into the deck and wraps it shut with duct tape before turning the Skarmory around and flying away, forgetting about the other two cards that were still in Hierophant and Excalibur's possession.

Jessie, James and Meowth rile at the realization that the thought of losing all the credit for finding the cards as Jessie calls back her Seviper.

"He's not going to get away with this!" she seethes before pulling out a remote and pressing a button, causing another Meowth-headed blimp to appear overhead, "We found those cards first!  We're the ones who should get the credit for sharing them with the rest of Team Rocket!"

Woobat and Yanmega then grabbed her and James, who both grabbed Meowth by his paws and flew up into the basket, attempting the long, almost fruitless pursuit to get the cards back.

Chariot, meanwhile, fumes upon knowing the fate of the cards that had been yanked onto another set of evil hands, "Dammit all!  You better give those back, or I'll...!"

He then jumps onto Excalibur's back as he uses Flame Charge to run off ahead of the balloon and keep up with Skarmory's near breakneck speed, leaving Hierophant and the other Pokemon behind to ponder if they should give chase, or worry about helping the other group find and bring back Mewtwo.

Hierophant had just reached the closet when he and Death noticed a streak torpedoing towards the interrogation room.  Curious as to what was going on, though fretting being spotted, they snuck back towards the area, staying close to the frame so they can listen in without being spotted.

"Sounds like someone was having a grand ol' time snuffing more victories out of the old bat," Death chuckles silently enough for only Hierophant to hear.

"Hopefully we won't have to get involved in anything else that might jeopardize our goodness to the people and endanger those who don't want any part in this war," Hierophant sighs, equally as quiet.

"What're you doing!?" Jessie screams at her Pokemon while stomping in place and blowing steam from her ears, "Pick a Pokemon that's weak to your abilities and use it to take them down!"

Woobat continues firing rows of Hidden Power orbs at Mabel while Yanmega fires a barrage of Silver Wind and Sonic Boom at the incoming Flareon and Seviper tries sink its long, sharp fangs into Blanc.

Just as it seems like one side was going to win, a Forretress suddenly drops in the middle of the skirmish.

"Forretress...."

Jessie almost freaks as the Bagworm Pokemon glows brightly in preparation for an explosion.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!  NO-NO-NO-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY POKEMON!!!" she shrills.

Hierophant panics as he points his staff towards Forretress, "OSMOSE!!!"

His staff glows a black and purple hue, causing a stream of light to slither out of Forretress' glowing form and fly into the card sticking out of his back, causing it to glow and fill him with sparkles as his magical energy strengthens until the Pokemon stopped glowing.  Before it had a chance to react to its sudden lack of PP to perform the same ability, Synthis suddenly jumps out from behind the bush and Tackles it out of the way.

"Wow...." Hierophant sighs a bit with relief while pulling his staff back and rubs the back of his head, "I didn't think that would work...."

"Aha!  For once, those bungling idiots did something right!"

Everyone turned their attention to the sky to see a short, child-like man wearing a sideways beret and what appears to be a white, green trimmed outfit with a familiar "R" tacked on the left side of the uniform sitting on the back of a Skarmory floating several feet above them.

"You!?" Jessie exclaims, "How did you get out here!?  I was told you were locked away for trying to steal leadership away from the Boss!"

Carr tsks as he waves his finger side to side, "Dear Jessie and James; always the last to know what has been going on in the organization since your many failures to appease their cause.  While they were busy hunting down a certain Legendary Pokemon you claimed to have befriended, I saw my opportunity to escape the smelly joint they stuck me in and reclaim the Pokemon they took away from me."

He then eyes Hierophant, who was the only one he saw casting a spell to stop his Forretress' Explosion, "And now that I've seen for myself what these cards you keep boasting on wanting to collect can do, I've suddenly become interested in confiscating them for myself and showing the entire organization why I should be the rightful successor to the throne!"

Hierophant compressed his lips as he starts to back away, keeping the card sandwiched between his free hand and his back while Jessie scoffs at the intruder's intentions.

"Fat chance of that happening!  As long as we have the cards, there's nothing you can do to stop us from getting the credit for presenting the Boss with something that can greatly increase his chances of capturing all the Pokemon in the world!"

"Oh really?" the man snickers before reaching behind him, "Have you already forgotten where you got those cards to begin with?  I believe it was made up of a device that controls holographic light and takes on the form of any card that's pushed into its mouth."

He then pulls out what appears to be a pure white Skitty with the usual round pattern on its forehead deformed slightly to look like a tuft of crescent-like hair laying limp on the palm of his hand.

Jessie lets out another scoff, "That broken piece of junk!?  After I had Seviper squeeze the last card out of its stomach, it turned into that glowing white Skitty and began drifting aimlessly as if it were dead!  We have no use for something that does nothing but drift like a balloon!"

The man's smirk only widens in more eagerness as a snicker escaped his throat, "And this is exactly why you'll never be taken as seriously as everyone else in that organization.  All you care about is whatever will please your boss, damned if it requires something to keep them from falling into the wrong hands...." his features darken, "...unwittingly...."

Unbeknownst to everyone but Hierophant, Skitty's eyes began to glow, causing the rims of Jessie, James, Meowth and Hierophant's cards to flash before it opened its mouth and lets out an loud yowl, causing the trio's cards, and a fifth card hidden under the fur of Excalibur's chest, to rip off their bodies and fly towards the noisy, Pokemon-like entity of light.

The trio scream in panic as they try to get their cards back only to run into each other and fall into a pile on the ground below the Skarmory, while Hierophant increases the sandwiching pressure of the card on his back and Excalibur snags the last one with his fangs, watching somewhat helplessly as the three remaining cards are stacked upon each other and lowered gently onto the Skitty's back.

Well, I guess it's a good reason I retained Jessie, James, and Meowth's silliness to a point.  In the Black and White series, they practically lose their campiness and took their assignments seriously and even accomplished a few tasks along the way.

And maybe after we get Mewtwo back, we can try and turn it back into the campy, less serious RP it was supposed to be. 8D

Well, if this helps for adding a little more mutuality to the Pokemon RP at least, I was going to have some former Team Rocket members oversee the magical properties of Tarot Cat's cards and attempt to steal them for themselves either in the hopes of pleasing Giovanni or keep it for themselves and try to overthrow him with them (Or try a different team, but I haven't watched the anime in a while and am still getting out of the outdated knowledge of Red and Blue), and even have access to Tarot Cat's original form which, without a conscience to control it, will forcefully draw in every card exposed to it.  But I was worried I'd draw too much attention away from Pokemon in general and have it be all about the cards, so I was holding off at least until the familiar trio of Team Rocket are "forced" to take the group to where Mewtwo is being held (though the way things are going, I may end up having to rethink when they're going to show up).

The Team Rocket members I was contemplating on using was either the two remaining manga-only Three Beasts of Team Rocket (most likely Carr since he's the most eager to want to take control of Team Rocket), or two of the four Rocket Generals (see following description on link), either Archer or Petrel since they're the least loyal to Team Rocket in terms of how they were portrayed in the manga.

After tearing through a third of the town for most of the night, Wreck-It Man had gone back to spinning in circles below the still drifting remains of the Wily Star II.

Chariot stood behind one of the more durable buildings, Lego tub still in hand, as he observes the situation with some regret of not having to lure it out like he originally planned.  As much as he despised humoring the doctor, he still had some respect to Hajime's reasons for faltering to his demands and didn't want to ruin anything that will just make his chances of finishing up loose ties any worse than it needs to be.

It amazed him that the Resistance still in the area haven't tried to stop the menacing robot, but figures safety of those incapable of fighting comes first before dealing with the second menace that could potentially cause more casualties than a leader driven made with frenzy.  He only hopes they don't inadvertently lead those survivors through this area and subject them to even more traumatic horror.

Wobbuffet blushed as his living tail jumps straight up.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaa!" it squeaks before being knocked onto its face by an outraged Jessie holding an iron fan.

Meowth, meanwhile, snaps out of his daze at the sound of rattling treats and turns to see Quickie running towards him with another bag of Meowth treats in her hands.  Drooling hungrily, he bounds over and snatches the bag, digging out and chomping on the kibbles while listening to her compliments.

"Oh!  Why thank-!"

He was suddenly interrupted by a lingering shadow and an ominous sense of anger towering over him.  Creaking his head ever so slowly around to see Jessie glaring down at him with her horrifying old hag face while tightly gripping her iron fan, growling even more furiously than a Granbull on a bad day.  Gulping another treat, he tries to grin innocently towards the ragingly horrendous sight gearing up to give just as much licking as she did Wobbuffet.

"I don't suppose I could gain Feint from a nearby Pokemon...." he mutters sweetly.

Before Jessie could unleash her furry upon the wavering Pokemon, Hierophant crept up behind her, meekly rubbing the back of his head.

"Uh...I don't want to tell you how to do your job...." he mutters before pointing towards the battle up ahead, "But I think your Pokemon might need a little help understanding your concept of 'going all out'...."

Jessie shoots her glare back towards the battle to find her Pokemon using the same attacks while flying and running all over the place in a vain attempt to dodge everything that was coming at them.
