Ah, I really like that remix. It sounds like they did incorporate elements of Serpent Eyes too.

Also
please don't. Your questions work better.

What's that stink? I think, there's a tinge of arrogance in the air.

That's a heavy number of maps. By maps I assume you mean themed areas, like where the music changes and the visuals change theme? If so, that is impressive, and I'm looking forward to it.

(does this mean 80 area songs? lol)

656
Guys, you're thinking in the wrong direction. Why not just;

Megaman Xtreme 3

657
It's not that simple. Especially since GB games have one background layer, and 2 sprite layers only. It simply wouldn't work.

Even on other games/consoles, the way layers are utilized and the way graphics processors are used to create advanced effects would completely shatter that kind of blanket effect from ever working. It really has to be redone if you want a workable 3D effect.

It seems like Konami isn't going to be doing anything for Castlevania's 25'th anniversary. Other than release LoS' Resurrection DLC.

That and Despair for PS3. Not in any way shape or form highlights or E3 worthy news however. Show me the 3DS game. I'd even settle for the unknown Alucard game. Anything but Despair!

3 days for Shantae DS! (Sorry, I'm actually more excited to play this than any of the Megaman VC titles.)

I guess we'll be seeing a lot of on the go FPS. I thought we'd see this with the DS/3DS but it seems devs didn't like Prime Hunters' controls much? This is their tried and true system though, so I'd expect a ton of them for the PSP2.

Wait, hold on. The GBA version of DKC3 had a completely different OST?

Despite the fact that the track you posted was awesome, why did they replace the OST?...

EXE / Re: Liberation Missions: How they be better?
« on: May 26, 2011, 03:25:37 PM »
I for one liked the idea of the liberation missions. It gave a sense of urgency and an incentive to act fast and strike hard with limited turns. Being able to control and utilize many navis at once was also great.

The endless extended boring dungeons and lame puzzles were what kept me from finishing the game though. I think I got to the Gyroman part and that was it.

You probably wont be able to "repair" but rather recover the partial data. Try loading into different text programs, or even a hexeditor. You may have to do some bit offsetting depending where the damage is.

They were txt, exe, url, dll, zip and rar files. Some of the were just savestates, roms and emualtors I recovered.

Txt is fairly easy to get a partial recovery out of. Exe, yeah you're screwed on those ones. DLL, Zip, Rar, same deal. Those files are the ones that if you have one tiny bit missing and the whole architecture falls completely apart.

What type of files were they anyway?

Unfortunately, last I knew, there aren't really any easy or simple ways to fix a file corruption.

Part of the problem is the manner in which a file becomes corrupted. It boils down to one concept; change. A file can become corrupted for a few reasons, such as;
- there is more data in the file than it should have
- there is less data in the file than it should have
- the file allocation is missing parts or formed incorrectly
- something changed in the file that shouldn't be

How does corruption occur? Some reasons include;
- that portion of the hard drive is broken/bad/error-ed out, which makes the file partially unreadable. The data is lost.
- a program gets interrupted, or crashes, when saving a file
- power loss to the operating system
- viruses

Simply put, how would a program ever know which is the case, and know how to add or subtract the exact portions back? In some cases, the data is lost for good, so how can it repair the file? Etc. If it's simply a file table error, I can see where it MIGHT be possible to repair the allocation, or salvage some data. But other than that, you're pretty much up [parasitic bomb] creek.

This is why people back up things.

They did list voice acting specifically, so perhaps in the vast amount of it in there something was amiss.

Gaming / Re: (Super) Street Fighter IV (Arcade Edition) Thread
« on: May 23, 2011, 04:58:52 PM »
It just seems like Capcom focuses more on expansions, rather than sequals to Street Fighter.

Um... Welcome to the 1990's... two decades late?

671
Reboot, or revival? Why would some of these even need a reboot?

If we're talking about strictly rebooting, my prime candidates would be;
Saturday Night Slam Masters, Captain Commando

If just series revivals, then I'd say;
Strider, Power Stone

672
Must be an American side only thing, since the PSP saw both games re-released in Japan.

I don't have the money to waste on a Macbook
I really want a tabletPC with Wacom technology

Not going to happen.

I really want a tabletPC with Wacom technology
I don't want it to be any heavier than a handgun

Not going to happen.

If you're looking for a tabletPC to do art then you are looking in the big bucks category, period. You need a boat load of ram, a good pen and tablet setup, and a really decent processor.

I recently got an HP Touch Smart tablet laptop two months ago, and it's really great for my needs. I use it for some art, but I'm sure there are much better (and much more expensive) for art. It has no felt tips or anything like that, just a standard pen. It works well for what I want, but I can't say for sure it'll be up to the standard you are looking for. I'm not an artist, but I use it merely for concept sketching.

If your primary concern is to do art, you should just get a high end Wacom (or greater) for your (presumably) high end desktop. In the industry that's what they go for, not so much tablet laptops.

The longer they hold off and refine, the better to be honest. It'll give the 3DS a bigger install base, and increase the quality all at the same time. It also drives forward into the cost factor, making a green light more and more a viable option, like Inafune did with Dead Rising. Sooner or later it was a "we sank enough cash into it, might as well just go all the way."
