It's obvious. The wild coil, if used properly, can reach high heights which is advantageous to hit flying enemies. It also covers a lot of vertical ground since it bounces.

I would think that taking down the big bad would qualify for that as is. I really said to myself "is this really necessary?" when hearing the plot for KH3DS. No, that's fine, we just took down the heartless big bad and all the crazy nobody leaders in giant city sized battles saving the universe TWICE. But, no, we're not keyblade masters or anything.

I'm didn't state what you get to like or dislike, but that doesn't make your reasons any less arbitrary and shallow.

this has gotta be one of the worst endings in the series.

And what exactly was it that you were expecting from a nonsensical offshoot game about Megaman fighting Wily in a soccer tournament?

On top of that, it is unreleased. Probably for a reason, you know, like being unfinished and all.

Huh. That was pretty interesting. I really like those versions.

Huh, so it did have one after all.

Are those sprites used anywhere else in the game? It's like a Wily Wars style sprite for everyone. Needs a rip.

I'm now half expecting Megaman Soccer Complete Works with all the scenes and stuff hacked back in.

Basically a delayed write failure is the fault of windows itself. For whatever reason, be it too busy at the time or whatever, Windows doesn't always write to a drive right away. This is also another reason crashes and power outages aren't good for computers.

Most commonly this is seen with USB storage devices when you just yank the drive out without doing the "Safely Remove Hardware" thing, thus why I asked if it was external. This is seen most often with programs like Microsoft Word, and other MS Office software due to the way it saves files.

It sounds like this happened a lot, and constantly. For some reason Windows was halting on writing the files in question. I can't say for certain why Windows was halting, and likewise I cannot rule out faulty hardware either. It could very well be the drive is bad, or it could just be a glitch in windows that just went away now.

Without a physical examination of the machine, I can't really say much more than that.

Awwwww. That's just adorable.

And lol, is that suppose to be the Legends girls 10 years after legends 2? :D

Is this an external hard drive?

The purpose of a demo is to see if you like the game and want to spend the money for it.

A paid demo is completely ridiculous. The notion is just absurd.

Loving the HardMan and ColdMan remixes. The others were good too, but the previously mentioned are pretty rare, and even more rare done so well. A nice refreshing treat.

You guys seem like you know what you're doing. Very impressive work. It looked like a real legit Battle Networks game, right down to the feel and writing.

You do need better sprites though.

I guess I should applaud the effort, but Dracula9's remixes there just don't sound right. I'm not even sure I could listen to some of them all the way through.

Though, I know all he does is take midis and re-sample them. The samples don't even sound SNES quality half the time either. That's probably half the problem.

Whoever did Jakob though knows what he's doing. That's a true masterpiece of a downgrade.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about!

Awesome stuff. Especially X5 Zero Intro Theme, and Jakob SNES.

Also worth mentioning, as a related on the Jakob:

Looks really interesting. Demo is downloading now. I get the impression that this is the second or so of a series based on the discussion in this thread...

If I do indeed like the demo, and will purchase, is there anything I should be playing before I dig into this? Give me the low down, if you please.

I know I've personally pushed off Legends to a dozen or more of people who never had a PSX or never was able to find it, or never would have tried it normally.

In fact, I never purchased a copy of either game at the time. I honestly never found them for sale, or knew much about them at the time they came out. All the copies I've played were rentals, and ultimately, as much as I hate to admit it, burned disks (I had a mod chip). I just could never find it for sale new, since I missed the window of launch.

Most of this can be attributed to me being a late adopter of the PSX. I never got it when it first came out. X4 and Legends being the reason I eventually got it, after I was showed the games by a friend.

Food for thought:

Capcom may be comparing Legends 3 to Legends 2. In by judging the sales of Legends 2 to not warrant another game. Thinking about it, and the immense dev room response and the reports of fans everywhere being up in arms across the whole internet, including devs. This doesn't add up. So it came to me;

Capcom I believe has discounted the player base, by simply comparing numbers to that of Legends 2's sales. In reality, both of the games have been out and about for 10 years. Being borrowed, handed down, re-sold, rented, and emulated I think it's safe to presume the fan base is much larger than the initial sales numbers, because many more people have played it in the last 10 years by other means.

Just my two cents.

Yes, I understand what you mean about the story. A pretty wise move given how you explained it.

Armor design is part of character design... But you seem to get the idea. While it is obviously a feminine frame, I can understand given the inconsistent 3d modeling most fan games employ, how people could say "is that suppose to be Megaman?.."

Overall it does look really damn good for a fan game. At this point I'm really interested in the engine capabilities and camera handing.

It looks great so far. Makes me wonder, why not go the extra mile and do a game starring Trigger? Not demanding, just curious about hwy you decided to go this route.

Oh and, yeah, with a character design like that, it's going to confuse people without a doubt.
