I'm not sure I could find a clear answer when I looked, so I hope you guys might know.

About the co-op play; Can you do all 2-4 player co-op modes offline as well as online? Is there a co-op arcade mode? And anything that might be useful to know before I go out and buy two more controllers.

I ended up ordering it for PS3, since 360 CE's were out when I did so. Anyway...

TUESDAY FFFFFFFFFF

Didn't realize it was so close.

Style; to design or make in a particular form.

All aspects of the presentation and design, limitations included, create the consistent look of the style. The limitations are a part of the style. Ignore them, and you are not working in the style.

It doesn't sound fitting of MMX(Maybe MegaMan), but hey it's a start.

Yeah, it does sound more classic. Really good though.

Take a look at Mega Man Unlimited, it uses an 8-bit style but still makes things interesting without fully breaking immersion.

I can't agree here at all. They take way too many liberties, and there are countless things that just scream "not authentic" in the whole presentation. Its obvious that it is not following the conventions at all, and even at a glance you can tell it doesn't try. If it doesn't even bother to try, it's already broken immersion.

It all rolls back to what Zan was saying; why bother using NES aesthetics if you aren't going to accurately represent it? Might as well just make a new style, or use something from another console era. Otherwise it just comes off as cheap, and lazy, since they obviously didn't care to do it right anyway.

IMHO, it is not important. These games are on systems that can handle more than the NES could. Using one more color than the NES originally could to please my eye a little more isn't going to hurt a thing. It's ONE color. I'm not asking to mix HD sprites with 8-bit here, I'm just saying you can stay true to a style without strictly adhering to NES limitations. It's not a big deal if they do things with the 8-bit style that cannot be done on the NES, as long as the game play doesn't suffer for it. i don't think we need extra running or jumping frames for Mega Man, but making Bass look like more than a Mega Man edit, is not going to break the immersion.

Maintaining the NES appearance is important if you're touting the NES style. That is what they were doing. You have to be delivering a believable appearance. That 'fan' Bass sprite is far beyond believable. it doesn't even look close. And no, it's not just ONE color over, its a total of 8 distinguishable colors. That's taking ALL 4 of the available sprite palettes under the NES Megaman standard palette conventions. 6 color entries way over the limit. It looks false on all levels, and is a technical blunder.

You may be use to doing subpar work, but true professionals know the value of authenticity and consistency.

Wow, that was a huge landslide for Tabby.

Oh, I just noticed, contests from the previous years, do not have menu options to go to the later years. In fact, 2010 and 2009 links go to 2008.

Back before the Zero series was around; I had an idea which basically amounts to about what ZX is (political controversy on reploid and human equality, with forced government regulation), but minus the kids with transformation devices and more of a Legends style of gaining equipment powerups. Not everyone in the story agreed with the equality laws of course, and as a result, willingly took up the flag and the ideals of the Mavericks of old.

I don't know how people feel about the Rockman Killers, the Stardroids, or the Mega World Corps.

I believe that would be;

Killers: Enker
Stardroids: Mercury or Terra (if he counts)
WWC: whoever the monkey one is

How can we have a [tornado fang]ing retarded bear and no Dan? That makes no sense to me. I was looking forward to Dan's appearance.

I am now sad...

even if a lot of youtube heads are mad at Morrigan's zoning game backed by Doom Missiles being amazingly guud

Yes, it is an effective and cheap tactic, but there are solutions to it. He just had to change his way of thinking to combat it. It's legitimate, as much as I hate to say it.

The guy obviously had skills when he finally did get in and started raping the characters one by one. He just needed a way to get in.

Wow, seriously? Over twice the price for costumes, compared to new characters?

And where the hell is Dan already. We've seen him mentioned since day 1.

You'd think after a century you'd learn something about conflict resolution and societal integrity/people's rights, even if you did stop caring.

Us humans have been at it for thousands of years and look where we still are.

Your hard drive could have died.

What I would try first is; open the case up, and take out the plugs from the hard drive. Make sure they're clean (blow them out) and reconnect the plugs. Then try booting up again.

Only Phil could do a trailer like this

Wow, dude. Don't crawl up there too far. You may not be able to find your way out.

496
Huh. Well that could be almost anything really.

Perhaps they had help from an outside entity? Perhaps a scan through the credits of both titles may yield some outside entity names for certain components.

(What about MegaMan 64?)

Now that folks is how you properly crossover two series. Excellent way to do the weapon demonstration.

I seem recall Earthbound being held back from Virtual Console citing references to songs and other things causing worry of law suits.

Rockman Series / Re: How would a 3D Mega man work?

X7 had a dead on clear shot to send it home, but then it slipped and tripped on it's own feet.

X7 had a GOOD movement and gameplay engine, despite a few drawbacks that could be easily fixed.

Fixes:
1. Walking speed needs to increase. And as a result, so does dashing to compensate.
2. Dash jump off of a wall and back lands you lower than where you started. Needs to be more like the other games in this regard.
3. Camera is terrible. Redo it entirely.
4. Stage design was pretty shitty. This needs a complete redo.
5. Lose the 2D/3D mixture. The 3D was fine, given you fix it up. Mixing them just screws up the physics and speed for each other.
6. Death pits and completely stunned knocked down status do not work well together.

you people are still going on about this legends crap?

Go [tornado fang] yourself.

OK, now that we have that retard out of the way...

A Legends HD remake would probably have to be the best way to handle it. Sadly Legends has aged quite a bit. Legends 1 even more so than 2. An additional problem lays in another component as well. Legends cant be re-released without licensing issues. Not just is there the issue of paying someone else, it is WHO do you pay? The company may not exist anymore, offering a whole host of other issues.

I'm going to presume this is the voice acting for the USA version, since they re-released DASH and DASH2 on PSP a while back.

So the solution? Redo the gameplay, and possibly the voice acting? Capcom will never agree to this. It would soak up too much capital, especially when they don't Legends 3 as good enough to hit the shelves. Of course we all know it's just a power play against Inafune, but even so.

The only way Legends 1 and 2 can be re-released with high public interest and appreciation is if they updated both graphics and gameplay; gameplay especially in this case. I don't think it will happen, but I will be happy to support the idea regardless. It is the right solution if a re-release were to happen. Honestly, if they played their cards right, the Legends 3 engine could easily make a Legends 1 and Legends 2 remake (in 3D no less!).
