Here it is again, minus the 1% that wasn't mine:

As I said, I used abstract brushes for background, while messing with the filters for the desired effect.

I hope this is not considered necro-posting for posting in my own thread. Is it alright we change the name of this thread name to "AmethystViper, Lousy Artist since 1991"? Can we make that happen?

Origami and some unfinished worked to distract you all on how lousy I am, hence the title change... you have no idea how much I hate this webcam...

A Sun & Moon Ring (closed and opened, respectively).

Although not entirely visible through this webcam, I made a bit of progress with the SMT: Devil Survivor's MC.

Another Luste Teuber fanart. I know, its not helping, but I have a good excuse for this one. I want to work on hands, I thought of Luste holding something in her hand sort of close up..

At last, we come to this: a WIP of one of my Azumanga / Touhou crossover with Osaka. Would anyone like to take a guess who I'm going mix her with?

I am thinking of doing a sketch fist, then reference it with MS Paint, kinda like how x.x (the artist behind some of my favorite CAVE-ese doujin shooters) does with some of his works. Here's an example of how he works.

Well, it looks like I've been gone for a while.

First off, my brother's computer's graphic card  (it was an ATI RADEON 5xxx HD series card) got royally boned and stopped working. That also caused the computer to stop working working, too. The first sign of the graphic card being busted was every time I run ePSXe, the games would crash within the first minute of playing a game. The other was the computer locking / freezing up after 5 or so minutes of inactivity. Then eventually the computer stopped working. It would not start up or run the system like its suppose to, even after restarting or shut it off and turn it back on.

Thankfully, a friend of my brother's whose very knowledgeable on computers helped him fixed the issue by removing the graphics card from the hard drive (although I can't run a game that demands a decent graphics card, like the Blade Kitten demo). My brother talked the manufacturer and they're willing to replace the card for free from what I hear. Adding to that, my TV got busted too; it keeps shutting itself off like its possessed or something. So I have to use my brother's suckier and bulky TV that cuts off the upper corners of the screen and its colors are kinda sucky. But it was either that or no TV to play my games.

On the upside, I am using my older brother's Xbox 360 Core system, although I am considering of getting an Xbox 360 S (slim) because 1) I can't get internet on this thing, no matter what I do and my family are not going to buy an Ethernet cable just to plug this thing to the router that's downstairs from my brother's room. And 2), because I can't get internet on it, I can't update the system for important updates, like being able to watch videos through a flash drive. These issues are starting to make me see why OverlordZeonMK3 at deviantArt hates it so much.

Other things: watching Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt episode 2 and working on getting episode 3, backing up crap whenever I got my damn computer, and learning how to convert certain video files to *wmv.

No internet for almost a week is not my idea of fun...

I don't much about the issue myself since I don't own a PS3 but my older brother does; my older brother's old and fat PS2/PS1-compatible PS3 somehow stopped working and would not play ANYTHING. It would not play games, movies, DVDs/Blu-ray discs, nothing at all. He'd put the disc in, but nothing would work. Unfortunately for him, he had to buy a PS3 slim to replace the broken one.

Anyone coming in here expecting high brow entertainment, do a 180 as soon as you finish reading this sentence. This might seriously be the most perverted, puerile and manic thing I've ever seen. It might also just be the most refreshing anime to come out of Japan in [tornado fang]ing ages. For anyone else perverted curious enough to give this a shot, well, let's run down the basics.

PnSwG tells the story of two angels, Panty & Stocking, sent forth from heaven to rid the world of "ghosts", creatures formed out of human desire and hatred which have appeared in Daten City, a place filled with sin and crime... Or that's what they would have you believe. In actuality, the two angels, Panty and Stocking, got kicked out Invader Zim style by the powers above for their less than stellar actions and personalities. I am not making this up. As for the characters, Panty is a hot blooded, dick loving woman who fights with enchanted panties that turn into a gun and Stocking is a gothic lolita with a mouth that'd make a sailor blush and an affinity for sweets. This. Is. Actually. For. Real. XD

Seriously, I'm at a lack of words for this one right here. If you still need to be sold though, this animation comes from the same lead animator responsible for inspiring a whole generation to ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWER, Hiroyuki Imaishi. You can expect tons of balls to the wall crazy as [tornado fang], Tatarovsky like animation to go with the zany as [tornado fang], fetishy and BEYOND hilarious writing of each episode. Oh, did I mention that they have transformation sequences involving pole dancing that goes way beyond "well that's different" and somewhere into upper "OMG THEY CAN DO THIS ON TV?!" XD

See for yourself.
(Video here.)

That said, thread will now be about how many episodes it will take to get everyone here to laugh uncontrollably. I'm already out of the game just from that linked clip. Discuss away, RPM!

Entertainment / Regular Show - by the creative director of Flapjack
« on: September 28, 2010, 02:59:25 AM »
This is the new Cartoon Network show by J.G. Quintel, who previously worked with Mark "Thurop" Van-Orman as the creative director of The Misadventures of Flapjack. So far I find the show pretty funny. Kinda reminds me of Ren & Stimpy. Have a look.

Emulation / Issues with SSF and ePSXe with certain games
« on: September 26, 2010, 03:29:25 PM »
I was playing the Japanese Saturn version's Layer Section II (a.k.a. RayStorm on the US Playstation) on SFF and the game does not play the soundtrack properly; usually it plays no music, then when I get to the boss battle it plays the final boss music until it finally plays the proper boss music for the stage. I also noticed when I was playing Silhouette Mirage (English version) on the ePSXe, none of the music plays at all and the game takes forever to load while the Japanese Saturn version of Silhouette Mirage works like a dream, which sucks because I'm starting to like the music from the Saturn version. Also, when I download certain games like the Japanese Symphony of the Night for the Saturn (I won't disclose where I got them), it cannot play it even when its mounted to a virtual disc drive. Is there any way around this to get these games working properly?

Thanks.

Well. I just replayed Heroes.

Shoddy, corny voice acting.

Tails.

Team System did in fact slow you down somewhat.

You might as well be able to play most levels with speed form exclusively.

Glitches. 'Nuff said.

Rail Canyon.

A-Ranking Casino Park "Defeat 100 Enemies"

Big.

Knuckle's punches throwing you off cliffs.

I could name many more, I just CHOOSE not to.
I'll add a few more...

Casino Park.

Final Fortress.

And every "Egg" boss.

-EDIT-

Adding this for lawlz.

Photobucket is great. the only problem is that its run by women, who delete any "inappropriate images" that arent yaoi.
Agreed. They deleted a screenshot of Marie from Holdover almost naked (don't worry, she covered her bosoms). Guess they ain't into lolis with healthy chests, either. XD

ImageShack, on the other hand, allows me to upload all the busty Patchouli Knowledge artworks from pixiv or Danbooru (never hentai or adult artworks, just the PG-13 stuff) with almost no hassle.

Sin & Punishment 2 is the best game for Wii this year, I tell you.

I'll gladly take anything Treasure pops out right now.

100% agree. If not the best shoot 'em up by Treasure thus far.

I use my PS2 controller, I hate using keyboard controls (especially with arrow keys)
The demo should allow you to edit the controls too, right?
Yea it does, but other than a keyboard, all I have for a gamepad is a Xbox 360 controller, and it looks like there's too many buttons for it. xD;

I'm starting to take a liking to Kit, although the controls for the come on PC is a bit awkward for me since I'm used to playing with arrow keys and Z X C and such keys on doujins and emulators for a platformer instead of the FPS PC set up. I only got the demo on my Steam though.
