So Kahl is as studly as Simon Belmon from Castlevania: Judgment yet his in-game sprite looks as bulky and burly as John Morris from Castlevania: Bloodlines?

*cues obligatory Castlevania music*

I can't wait for the day when Trauare becomes playable and handles like Eric Lacarde slash Leviathan from MMZ. 8D </joking>

But still, I'm curious how Kahl's gameplay will be like in ~Freudenstachel~. ^^ Hope he can stack up with Reimu Belmont from the Koumajou Densetsu series.

Gaming / Dust: An Elysian Tail - Think Muramasa with furries
« on: March 29, 2011, 01:43:54 AM »
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmSAQwbbig8&fmt=18[/youtube]

Dust: An Elysian Tail is an side-scrolling action RPG originally planned for Xbox Live Indie Games channel, but since this title won Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play Challenge of 2009, the developers of Humble Hearts have awarded a contract with Mircosoft to release the game over Xbox Live Arcade. All I have to say is that I am stoked about this game. The visuals are beautiful, the music so far is really good, and action in this game looks wicked and badass like Muramasa: The Demon Blade on the Wii. Sadly, there's no scheduled release date other than "late 2011" and the dev's site is down, unfortunately. But still, I am looking forward to this game.

-EDIT-
Quote from: Gamsutra.com
Winner of the Dream.Build.Play competition back in 2009, Dust: An Elysian Tail is headed to Xbox Live Arcade in 2011. Watch the above teaser, and tell me you're not excited. Go on, I dare you. It looks utterly stunning, and is bound to be one of the big XBLA hitters next year.

It's a side-scrolling battler/RPG, following the protagonist Dust who will looking to rediscover his past. Everything you see is hand-animated and painted - in fact, there is also a feature film in production called Elysian Tail that will follow the same style. There's been no news on the official site since July, but a release date of 'late 2011' is still on the cards, so let's just hope it isn't delayed.

Strike Witches STG! / SW~魔女達の長い午後

Release date: 2009
Developer: Morihama
Version: v1.01
Genre: 2D > Shoot 'em Up > Vertical
Content: Mild Violence > Mild Suggestive Themes

A freeware doujin shoot 'em up based on Strike Witches. There's five teams of characters from the series with different strengths and weaponry. The game is kinda CAVE-esque in bullet patterns, but at times kinda unfair, and there's seven stages to play through. Here's the Strike Witches Wiki coverage on the game: [link] I suggest using my mirror of the download below since the download from the main site can take an hour to download.

Whoever at GameFAQs down-rated my answer to another user's question on one of Hard Corps: Uprising's Achievements / Trophies: You're a [tornado fang]ing dick-bag and an idiot at that, because from my experience, my answer is actually TRUE. Is everyone at GameFAQs total dicks for providing legit information? B(

Well I starting playing RE years ago back when I had a PS2 and I played RE1: Director's Cut and RE2: Dual Shock Edition is what got me into play RE in the first place. Back then it actually scary for me since I was little and not knowing what kind of abomination I'd be up against besides zombies and dogs who wants to feast on my flesh. Never got a chance to play the rail shooter RE games because I could never buy them at the time... And I've played the heck out of RE4 on the GameCube to point where I could almost remember all the items and treasures are. I always wanted to get the Wii version, though, but never had the money to buy it.

I'd like to see how this one turns out. It's kinda reminds me of L4D except this sounds more militaristic and tactical.

Walking is great exercise.  I walk alot.  Keeps one's figure respectable and makes one's legs quite sexy and tones one's butt nicely.

I walk a lot during my free time at school with my classmates (if it's nice out and it's not winter) for like 30 minutes a day. Plus I have P.E. twice every week at. So is it safe to guess all that walking staved off some of the weight I could of been getting if I hadn't walked during school and kept my figure from getting any worse?

When its nice out I walk home.

But I really don't need exercise. I'm at a perfect weight for my age and height.

What I do need, on the other hand, is some upper body strength.

That, and some damn stamina. Guess somebody didn't feed me enough orange fruits that increase said stat. :P

You and I both. XD I wish had some better upper body strength and my stamina sucks. When I sprint during P.E., I can barely make 4-5 laps around the gym without running out of breath, although my teachers have me run for about 7 laps.

Man, all this talk about exercise makes me wish I could play DDR Mario Mix on my Wii again. The reason I can't play it anymore is because I got yelled at by my father for making noise as I dance my heart out on some of the harder songs in the game when I was played it on my older brother's GameCube ages ago.

That quickly became my favorite episode of Dial M for Monkey. But the bottom line: Censorship sucks and Cartoon Networks sucks (especially for canceling Symbionic Titan, [tornado fang] you CN). Let's just hope that the new Thunder Cats can make up for their faggotry, but I doubt it will since the suck and good ratio is horridly off balance with the suck being the highest.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Nope. You're not normal. You're a nerd. And so are the rest of us here, discussing children's cartoons and video games.

I like to question Teletoon on how can they get gay stereotypes on their idiotic show and pass it off as a "children's cartoon". I've seen those mole people, and they look gay as hell.

P.S.
For the record, I'm not a homophobe, but those outfits they wear look like they just came out of a gay pride parade.

And you know that Johnny Test, Along with Total Drama, are Canadian productions right?

Nothing against Canada, but JT is just pathetic.

Ben 10 wasn't intresting anymore after the first series (So what if I liked it.)
Never watched Generator Rex, though I hear its OK.
I don't bother with much of the action shows (Mainly because of when I was a young lad, Action shows gave me headaches, and Batman was all I liked until that one episode with the robot, then I stopped watching it.)
Clone Wars didn't hold my intrest through an entire episode (Sorry folks, Original Trilogy Whore here.)
Adult Swim is falling into a shithole with Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, and ATHF holding my intrest (Why hasn't squidbillies been cancelled yet? Its horrible!)
The only Comedies I watch on CN now are Regular Show and MAD, I used to watch Adventure Time but I totally forgot to set it up for Recording so oh well. And why the hell is Hole in the Wall still on?

I already know that Johhny Test and Total Drama are Canadian shows since they're by Teletoon and CN had to get their programs of all things. I was there went I saw commercials of Kids WB whoring the [parasitic bomb] out Johnny Needs to Get an Aids Test for Having that Hamster Removed. I want my Card Captors Sakura back! I don't care how much they censor all the yaoi and edit it for English viewers, it's better than dealing with JOHNNY TEST noob-ass!

Wow.

Thats [tornado fang]ing stupid.

I never gave two shits about sports, never will either. And I'm perfectly normal.

LOL so have I. I really don't care about sports in general, yet I turned out fine.

Off subject: My brother just got Black Ops but he's using MY profile to play it because he refuses to get his own Xbox Live account. Just a minute ago he used my name / gamertag over someone online... -AC

I don't why people like to bullshit on Flapjack just because of his laugh. It's a million times better than the stupid reality / live-action shows they put up there like Hole in the Wall, Run it Back and Johhny Test. And why the frig are they putting sports [parasitic bomb] in CN anyway?! No viewer of Cartoon Network gives a [parasitic bomb] about sports; all we want are decent animated shows on TV like Symbionic Titian and Young Justice, not some wannabe MTV crap. Can't wait for the day they make a live-action drama series with a bunch of moody teenagers... -AC

next week tho. 0v0
Japanese VC only or this is going to be out as an import title for US and Europe VC as well? Looks interesting. Unfortunately I'm saving the last 1,500 Nintendo Points that I have left for La-Mulana if it ever comes out. Speaking of which, forgot to update on what's going on with La-Mulana's development lately.

LOL beat me to it. But seriously, though, people in Japan like ZUN's and his barrels of beer are going to need help to recover from the earthquake Tenshi caused. Once I find the nearest donating charity, my money is going to them.

For those who've been waiting for the language files for Koumajou Densetsu II: Stranger's Requiem:

Your prays have been answered. Click that image and start downloading (approx. 280MB). Once it's done downloading, unzip / extract the contents of the archive, throw it into the language folder in the game's directory, change the language setting in the config.exe, profit!

-EDIT-
Use the mirror download instead, NOT THE MAIN DOWNLOAD! The main download will take about 3-4 hours long. The mirror only takes about 20 minutes to download.

Stuff that I bought recently:
A medium pizza at Dominoes for $5 and a soda for $1.50. I was on a school trip with another school at a bowling alley and I didn't want the school's sucky lunch. Plus the pizza everyone paid for was shared among the students, so I got half the pie. :\

Stuff that my twin brother bought recently:
Marvel VS. Capcom 3 and a 2,000 Nintendo Points card for me and a SeaGate 1TB External Hard Drive for himself.

Stuff that my older brother bought recently:
Dragon Age II.

Added Super Mario Bros. 3 and Star Fox 64 to my Wii VC list. I might do more changes to my list of downloadables.

« on: March 14, 2011, 01:38:36 AM »
Has this ever happened to anyone playing Hard Corps: Uprising?

As I was clocking in 16+ hours into my game with 21 continues, I played my way through Arcade Mode and manage to finish it using up about 18 of them. After I finished the game I got back to playing it a few nights ago, playing Arcade Mode again but lost all of my lives and when I got to the continue screen, my continue count when from what would probably be 22 continues to 576 - WHAT THE [tornado fang]?!?!? How in the hell did this happen?! What's even more messed up is when I played Rising Mode a few hours ago with Sayuri on Stage 8 with all of my abilities turned off but Uprising R (because I was getting owned by this game) for kicks,  I lost 10 continues before getting into the final boss, lost my lives again, then my remaining continues went from 560 back to 576 - AGAIN!

Seriously, what the [tornado fang] is wrong with the continues with this game... -AC
