Ryu (Breath of Fire), Red Arremer and Mega Man please~?

Blues & Rock.

But Blues first!  8B

I agree with you guys completely!

-EDIT-
So nothing on Devil May Cry Collection or even DMC: Devil May Cry yet? And it's a shame that Noogy isn't showing for E3 according to one of his tweets at Twitter. I want to see what's up with Dust.

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to let you guys know, but I'm not going to be off from Xbox Live for the following two reasons: 1) my Gold membership is expiring, although I plan on going back to Gold sometime later if my brother is willing to buy a prepaid card (hopefully a 1-year subscription), and 2) I just called the guys at Microsoft's consumer support to remove my mom's credit card info from my Xbox Live account and I will not be able to use it for 3-5 days to sort everything out, which is when I should get a token to re-activate my account. So until then, you're going have to deal without me on Xbox Live for a couple of days until my account is back and running again...

Posted on: May 31, 2011, 10:21:17 PM
I am officially back on Xbox Live. I still have my Gold membership, but that's gonna be over on June 14th until I get a subscription card to renew my membership. During my Xbox Live absence, I made my own Japanese Windows Live account, and with it I can browse through the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace and get some Japanese games if I ever get the Japanese MS Points to buy them. Thank you so much VixyNyan for your words of wisdom, now I can probably get Otomedius Gorgeous! if it doesn't come out to the US and Europe! owob
I also got the "uncut" version of Otomedius Excellent's! OP on my Xbox's hard drive. =w=b

From what I've read about Wii U on GameSpot yesterday (right here) has already gotten me stoked for it's release. Can't wait for a new Super Smash Bros. and Skyward Sword finally in 1080p HD! >w< But I gotta wonder, I can bring stuff from my Wii into Wii U (user accounts, games I bought / downloaded, Miis, etc) and will it be backwards compatible with Wii and GameCube games?

Any news on the Devil May Cry Collection?

LOL, even Uno Makoto, the character designer of the anime version of Witchblade is doing fan art of Skullgirls. We also got a piece of Cerebella from one of the former clean-up artists of the game from Reverge Lab's site for their last Fan Art Fridays. Using a spoiler tag for the link since an artist from pixiv and Makoto's fan art of the girls are heavy in the chest area.

Okay, time to update!

We have another blog post by Richard Suh on the game's clean-up and animation, plus we got this short video of how it's done with Alex Ahad himself to walk us through it.

Vincent Diamante, audio director of Skullgirls walk us though the game's audio direction in this blog post, and it make me want to make a symphony of music as I kick people's teeth in. And get this:

CUSTOM SKULLGIRLS ARCADE STICKS~

Man I wished my brother wasn't playing frickin' Combat Arms all day yesterday and kick me off the computer when I was watching the Wii U today. I missed a lot from Nintendo thanks to him..  X(

Also can't wait for Dragon Crown's, though it sucks I won't be able to play it... ;O; LOL the Sorceress' walk just demands respect.

Collector's Edition~!
Quote from: Siliconera
Amazon have the $49.99 Otomedius Excellent collector’s edition up for pre-order as well, and they’ve given away what it includes. Under “Product Features,” they mention:

 • Lovely characters to pilot through an expanded world. Choose from nine characters on-disc to battle through 8 all-new stages of thrilling shmup action!
 • Three's company! Cozy up with a friend or two in local and online multiplayer and team up to obtain hard-to-get items!
 • Eye-popping Gallery mode. View your unlocked stills and graphics in a new Gallery that grows as you progress through the game.
 • Loads of appealing downloadable content. Sure to appeal to both Gradius and Otomedius fans, this content will be announced later!
 • Exclusive Special Edition. Includes 2-sided pillowcase, 64 page artbook and soundtrack disc featuring music from the Otomedius series.

So…a two-sided pillowcase, 64 page artbook and a soundtrack disc. Not too shabby at all. Amazon, like Gamestop, list Otomedius Excellent for a July 19th release.

A deep bow to Corey for the awesome tip!

Just to fill in everybody here if you haven't been keeping up with the recent events of Rosenkreuzstilette: progress of RKSF's development is slow-going, but it's better than being canceled; that and WOMI has made a new e-mail to stray people far way from his NSFW site, so if you have questions to ask, there's the new e-mail safe for the general public. And despite what some people may have heard, Rockin' Android is not going to localize Rosenkreuzstilette.

After seeing Kojima announcing the HD package of Z.O.E. 1+2, all I can say is: LET THE END OF THE WORLD COMMENCE!! >w<
I really missed playing 2nd Runner back when I had a PS2, but now that I can play it again on my Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can relive the mecha-action beast that 2nd Runner is - in glorious HD no less - this is the best Z.O.E. news I've heard all day.

Asterizm announced a release date today of June 21 for its WiiWare action adventure title La Mulana. The title was previously announced and is due for international release, but the Japanese release will be first. Pricing is set at 1,200 Wii Points.

La Mulana has players take control of Dr. Lemeza Kosugi and explore the mystical La-Mulana ruins in search of a secret treasure. The game originated as a 2006 freeware Windows title.

Yes! The months of saving the last 1,500 Wii Points that I've been hanging onto will finally be spent on this game!

Posted on: June 01, 2011, 05:26:05 PM
Something else I'd like to bring up. The developers are working making a two-part guide for La-Mulana on WiiWare and it looks like they're releasing digitally from the looks of it here. The first part of the guide is basically the game manual, but it also has some details on the early stages of the game and it's coming out sometime before the game is released. The second part is the strategy guide of the game, but it's going not to disclose any answers on how to solve each puzzle in the game, but rather give you hints to help you out and that's coming out after the game is released. For those who still wants to help Japan after the Tsunami and Nuclear crisis, people can buy the first part of the guide and proceeds will go to the Northeast Japan Relief.

Looks cool and all, but it's too bad I have my sights on getting a 3DS.
Because of MML3 and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked.
Let's just hope the software for it can make it a worthy piece of hardware (that and as PB said, to make up from lost profits from those damn hackers for sending PSN to bum-[tornado fang]'d Egypt).

What's Inafune doing in Pokemon? I can't wait for the day when "A wild Shigeru Miyamoto APPEARS!" 8D But seriously, this game and that soundtrack and those Nendoroid figures needs to come out to the US and Europe. I don't care if JRPG-hogging PS3 is the only that gets this game, but this should hit shores outside of Japan.

I got some good news and some sucky news on Skullgirls, E3, and some other upcoming conventions. Autumn Games and Reverge Labs are planning to have a booth ready previewing the game at E3, sadly it's only open to the media and gaming industry personals only. But that's not to say the general public won't be able to get a preview of Skullgirls, because the guys and girls at Autumn Games and Reverge Labs are having a Skullgirls Summer Preview Tour all thought summer 2011 (with tour dates and everything). They're still finalizing the tours and whatnot, but if anyone's planning on going to any of these conventions, you might have a chance get a sneak peak of the game's current progress. Now to figure out a plan on going to the East Coast Throwdown in Morristown...

I suck really hard at this game on Steam, but I enjoyed it so that's cool. It's pretty fun if you're not dying. Unfortunately, I'm always dying orz
Don't have and don't plan on getting an Xbox, so this won't affect me at all, but hmm, let's see how this goes =O
You got a corded Xbox 360 controller? The Steam / PC version of Beat Hazard supports Xbox 360 controller compatibility and you can play it with the twin-sticks method instead of mouse and keyboard. And don't let games like Touhou stop you from playing the game on an easier setting. Not only the onslaught of constant madness, but the visual effects are easier on the eyes so it's easier to avoid attacks. In fact, the original game's visual effects is guilty of camouflaging some of the enemy bullets that come at you (almost like the doujin game Ether Vapor), but I think that's being fixed from what I'm seeing here with their recent showing of Beat Hazard Ultra.

And just throwing out there, if Kamina from Gurren Lagann can motivate his team to go into battle, I'm kinda sure his methods can work on getting more people to petition on having Beat Hazard Ultra on XBLA.
Either that or hurt the chances of that happening...

The original Japanese version of Acceleration of SUGURI X-Edition since I'm trying to unlock all characters and share the unlocked stuff with people. I got Hime, Sora, Suguri-SP, and NoName unlocked, now it's just that broken dog QP that's left for unlockable characters. Oh yeah, Acceleration of SUGURI is getting a sequel, hopefully by Summer Comiket 80.

Hard Corps: Uprising since I'm trying to help a friend out, but it's been not looking so well since we hardly get a chance to play this game together... Symphony of the Night, and remembering why I hate playing as Richter Belmont so much... X( The Beat Hazard demo to trip out on the raving madness of the game. And Left 4 Dead with my Xbox Live friends.

You know... that's a game I have always been interested in.
I think Treasure got the game out on XBLA recently, although I'm not sure if it's the same as the Dreamcast game.

It's never too late to try this game out guys. For the PC users, the demo of the original game is available either through here at their site OR if you have a Steam account, you can download the demo here. If you have an Xbox 360, you can find the demo and full game under the Indie section of the Game Marketplace (or here if you want to download it from your PC to your Xbox 360). From my experience with the demo versions, the Steam demo lets you play a limit of 10 songs on your computer (even songs on your external hard drives), and 10 songs ONLY. After that, you have to buy the full game to play more songs in the game. With the Xbox 360 version's demo, you can play any song from the default Bazard Hazard album for an unlimited number of times, however, you only play a small bit of the song you're playing and any progress you made will NOT be saved.

Well, I already *liked* the petition at Facebook just now...

Gaming / Beat Hazard Ultra gets rejected by Microsoft
« on: May 28, 2011, 05:21:15 PM »
For those who don't know about this game, Beat Hazard is an indie-made twin-stick shooter by Cold Beam Games that's basically a twin-stick shooter at a rave party on crack and Red Bull. The game is powered through the various music you play on your hardware, and your music have it's own unique ebb and flow in the gameplay. The original game is out now on PC and Steam for $10 USD (Steam has iTunes support for an extra $1) and also Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Indie Games for 400 MS Points. Here's a sample of the gameplay...

The guys at Cold Beam Games are currently in development of Beat Hazard Ultra, which takes the original game to a whole new level with all the new features it's going to have.

Quote from: Cold Beam Games
Due out in Q2 2011, Beat Hazard Ultra will take Beat Hazard to the next level.
Features include:
- Online Play
- More Bosses
- More Enemies
- More Power Ups
- More Game Modes
- And of course more music driven eye bleeding action
- Available on PSN, PC and Mac, Q2 2011

Beat Hazard Ultra will be out on Steam and PC June 27th, 2011, while Mac and PS3 owners will get their share of the raving madness later. Sadly, Microsoft is being an arch douche about the game and not publishing Beat Hazard Ultra for XBLA (and what's more messed up is that they have the original on their service, an indie game that is doing very well compared to the 95% of indie games that they offer and they reject this one). o//////o But all hope is not lost for Xbox 360 owners; if anyone signs at Cold Beam Games' petition here at Facebook, these guys will try to get another publisher to get the game out on XBLA. And now to show everyone here what's in store for Ultra.

To Microsoft: if this game never this released on XBLA, I will hate you guys forever and punch you.

Okay, I'm done raving here...

2523
Heh, I can't believe I forgot about Demon's Crest, especially since I played it on ZSNES. -AC I'm even more surprised that it's not on the list of reboots / revivals and how it's not even on Wii Virtual Console yet. If it was on there, I'd so vote for it.

LOL how many Warning Forever clones are we getting? ::) I've seen one XBLIG called Infinity Warning or something. But back to free games. This one's for Vixy, Akira, and CAVE fans. >w<

Patriot Dark / パトリオットダーク

Release date: 2007-2008
Developer: Temperance Lance
Version: v1.0b
Genre: 2D > Shoot 'em Up > Vertical
Content: Mild Violence

This is considered to be the DoDanPachi of freeware doujin shooters. The game originally had two releases at Comiket, but the developers unfortunately couldn't find any resources to sell the game outside of Comiket (such as Melonbooks, DLsite, Toranoanna, etc.), so they opt to make the game freeware. It's a very short shooter with five stages, but it makes up for it with CAVE's level of brutality and challenge. It does work differently in some areas than DoDanPachi, like the last enemy you shoot down earns you the most points. There's two fighters with three difficulty levels to choose from plus unlockable ones for 1CC'ing the game. One of the downsides of the game is that the resolution is very small, running at 512x384, and while pressing F5 can make the window bigger, it could also show how pixelated the graphics are if your monitor can't handle small resolutions that well or if you run Windows 7 since the OS hates pixelated games. Ltc has a small guide of the game here at shmup.system.11 (WARNING: LOTS of spoilers!).

Anyone here familiar with Angry Birds? Well if you don't have an Android phone or a smart phone or an iPod Touch or iPhone, you're in luck, because Angry Birds is officially playable on Google Chrome. The game is currently in beta, though. You can get Google Chrome here.

-EDIT-
Actually scratch what I said about it being playable on Google Chrome. It appears it's also playable on Firefox (or at least Firefox 4 in my case), but it probably has problems if it's played on a browser other than Google Chrome.

OR you can check out this video that I'm going to embed right about.... now.

The short version: Features all the aspects that you remembered from the original Saturn version (the branching paths, RPG elements, a whooping roster of characters and so on), you can play with the original Sega Saturn visuals or play with the newly enhanced HD visuals, you can use different filters for the game (the "dark" filter does look sorta bad in my opinion), and Xbox Live support for multi-player. Ken Balough at Sega so far claims this is a going to be an XBLA exclusive at the moment, so PS3 owners maybe able to download this classic, too... maybe...
