I bought Trouble Witches NEO! 50% off just a few hours ago. Now I can destroy my enemies with the power of Luca-chan's love~ owo

I also noticed some other XBLA titles on sale and you don't have to have Gold Membership to save on points (I think between Sept. 29th ~ October 3rd). Problem is that there's no list of what's on sale (unless I haven't been Googling it) for the non-Gold Membership deals; the only games that I know of are Trouble Witches NEO!, Outlands, Blade Kitten, and Trials. If only I had more MS Points...

Oct. 12th, 2011 - Bought Guardian Heroes on Day 1. Before that, my first XBLIG I've bought. And now I'm broke until I buy another pre-paid card. 8D
Really starting to regret paying for games that are 1200 MS Points at full price (expect for Radiant Silvergun, it's worth blowing $600 for a Sega Saturn copy)

I do believe that you are forgetting something not so minor...

Namely, this link to the announcement itself.
http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

The info there is something that should not be omitted, truthfully speaking.
I'll let the info in the link speak for itself.
I was planning to bring that up, but you beat me to the punch. :<

Man, first Christina Vee is helping out Reverge Labs with Skullgirls by voicing Cerebella and voice directing the game, now she lends a helping hand to Darkside and Zeppy with Rosenkreuzstilette's English dub? She is one swell lady. I am excite. :3
Maybe Studio Siesta (the doujin team behind Trouble Witches NEO!) can learn a thing or fifty about English localization from them.

You know what's coming out next week, Xbox 360 owners? That's right, Guardian Heroes on XBLA, and it's time to celebrate Treasure's HD forthcoming of this Sega Saturn classic with another collection of the game's music, thanks to DigiHatesMakingNames. :3

I do hope Treasure is listening to the PlayStation 3 owners on their poll and they bring this gem to PSN, because everyone -- PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners alike -- deserves to play this game in their lifetime.

Rockman Series / Re: Games Similar to Megaman
« on: October 01, 2011, 07:41:43 PM »
Not sure if this was already brought up, but Conagusuri (a music doujin circle) and with the help of Peposoft made a Touhou Mega Man/Rockman game called Touhou Koukayaku: The Game (東方虹華薬 The Game) that's kinda like Twilight Frontier's Mega Mari, except this game was based on Unidentified Fantasic Object. You get to play as Byakuren Hijiri, and later, Ichirin, Minamitsu, Shou, and Nazrin by swapping them out in the way you'd switch weapons in a Mega Man/Rockman game, and each character has their own unique shot-type. The game was actually released at C79 with Touhou arrangement they've released (official site/Japanese).

I'm OK with waiting as long as it's good. Id rather not have a rushed production, and crappy output.

It IS important for them, since they're a first time contestant in the genre, to get things as right as they possibly can. Otherwise they may be overshadowed, and get swept up by the big boys, never to release again. And even if they tried, would anyone pay them any mind if the firs tone sucked? This is their one and only shot, and I think they realize this.
You do have a point there. Better late than than rushed (I'm looking at you, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006).

Welp, we'll have to wait until the world ends to play this game. ;O;
P.S. I don't believe in the whole "world's gonna end in 2012" bullshit that some idiots in this world like to believe, I just like to joke around with it.
Oh yea, it turns out that's not Michelle Ruff voicing Parasoul; Parasoul voiced by Erin Fitzgerald.

Is is me, or is that Michelle Suzanne Ruff (Rukia from Bleach, Shanoa from Order of Ecclesia, Tsukasa from Lucky Star, and Rita Mordio from Tales Vesperia) voicing Parasoul?

Watch whatever eps you want, they're all online.

Also, Pinkie Pie's amazing thing, is that she's not OMGRANDUMB like most characters like her. She's legitimately funny with certain antics every episode, and her personality doesn't veer from what is expected. Each character is characterized really really well, from the raging lesbianism of Rainbow Dash, to the OCD nature that Twilight Sparkle has, and the crazy lonely cat lady nature that Fluttershy has. They're ALL CRAZY PEOPLE WITH ISSUES. And they don't hide it. That's what makes it so damn awesome.
It's a good thing, too, because this brony just torrent all of Season 1's episodes (720p quality, though it doesn't matter if it's 720p or 1080p rips to me since it's all irrelevant to my shitty SDTV). 20GB lost, but I have no regrets. 8B

Everyone knew this was coming. Bronies unite!

Who loves MLP?
Who loves the Derpy Hooves appearances?
Who loves the new character affectionately named Screwball?
Who loves the fact that the last episode had both Star Wars AND Star Trek references?

All that and more. Come one, come all. Be Bronies.

Dammit, I missed that episode! X(
Also, whoever made that Panty and Stocking version of MLP has earned my respect.

Pinkie Pie quickly became of favorite to me. I love how screwy she is. I almost though she was Fluttershy when she snapped on the episode where the ponies tried to throw her a surprise party. >0< Once I actually got down to get myself to watch this show, I was hooked. I haven't had this good of surprise since I started watching Top Gear on BBC America.

I'll also say this. The songs are very clever!

I love how Pinkie Pie's song got all the ponies and buffaloes mad just when they decided not to fight each other. Oh Pinkie Pie..

Well that's one of my predictions gone wrong. Should of guess from the Yukkuri....

Nice to see the site get an update, especially the character section (finally Parasoul and her chest size gets added along with Miss Fortune) now that there's higher resolution and cleaner looking artwork.

I knew Vixy is good at Shoot 'em Ups, but 100%'ing Radiant Silvergun's in a matter of 2 days after it's release, gyatdamn. >0<

And how the hell did The Art of Yasushi Suzuki went from going around $20-30 on Amazon to $80?! Ugh! I was really planning on getting for Christmas because I really like this man's art style. Now I'll have to postpone some games I'd want to get for 2012 on my birthday. That price better not go any higher. X(

« on: September 17, 2011, 04:37:39 AM »
Not sure if this counts, but the game Crimson Alliance for Xbox 360 is 100% free to download on XBLA. But here's the part that I don't get: the FULL game is free to download, but you get demo restrictions until you buy the character class packs to the game (individual Mercenary, Wizard, and Assassian Class Packs goes for 800 MS Points each; the entire class pack goes for 1200 MS Points), which makes me wonder "Why didn't they release the full game with all classes' abilities unlocked and have a demo version for those who want to try this game, rather than to release a full game with demo restrictions?"

This is the sorta thing why this thread was created; DLC should add more to a game, not to make people pay for something that should already be there.

Now it's the perfect time to start learning with portals.

GLaDOS just crashed. Portal is back to a game you have to buy again.

Bought Radiant Silvergun on Day 1 one of it's release at 6:10AM, totally worth waking up early (about 3:00AM and fell asleep and woke up again at 5:00AM until the game became available at 6:00AM in my area) and 1200 MS Points. 2011, the year of Treasure's rebirth of their legendary games. Plus this completes my trifecta of Treasure's legendary shoot 'em ups (Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earh, Radiant Silvergun, and Ikaruga) on the 7th generation. Would of updated this sooner (like the minute I bought Radiant Silvergun) if my brother didn't hog the computer for the past three days.

Gaming / Radiant Silvergun - Sept. 14th
« on: September 01, 2011, 05:22:40 PM »
Since Vixy shared us the news of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown here, I'm gonna go with the flow with these recent developments since it is XBLA...

According to Siliconera, Radiant Silvergun is making it's glorious HD comeback September 14th on XBLA for 1,200 MS Points. If anyone hasn't been following this, the game will be released with HD visuals and the ability to play the game with the old Sega Saturn visuals, and one of the new features also includes an unlockable "Ikaruga Mode" (earlier news states that the "Ikaruga Mode" requires at least one Achievement from Ikaruga in order to unlock it).

Quote from: Siliconera
Radiant Silvergun for Xbox Live Arcade was given a release date today. It’s being released on September 14th for 1,200 Microsoft Points in Japan. The game has has 7 weapons that the player can use at any time.

Radiant Silvergun’s visuals have been spruced up in high-definition for the Xbox Live Arcade release (although, you can switch back to the older look), and a few new additions have been thrown in for good measure, too. Amongst these is a bonus Ikaruga style shooting mode, but no details on this mode are available yet.

The Xbox Live Arcade version of Radiant Silvergun includes both the Sega Saturn version of the game with a story, as well as the arcade version. It will support 2-player co-op over Xbox Live.
