Can you fanon guys make me a Mega Man fan-character that resembles Sephiroth and the Kool-Aid Man too? </sarcasm> :3

I'm hoping this and Senran Kagura comes to the States. I want some more Guardian Heroes action but I wonder if it's gonna be like Treasure's fighting games or more like Capcom's fighting games.

I completed Sine Mora. (Official Site)

It's one of the most fun Bullet Hell games I played, and good for a XBLA game. ^^

The story is dark and has a mature theme. The characters even swears in the dialogs.
The artwork is great and the environments in the stages is beautiful!

Some of the challenges were tough, like beating Arcade with only the main weapon, and beat a stage on Intense without collecting any items.
I was surprised to see Mahiro Maeda, the artist who worked on Blue Submarine No. 6 and Animatrix among other worked on the bosses for Sine Mora. Then again, I didn't know who he was until I played the demo. It was a long since I've seen Blue Submarine No. 6 and the last time I've watched it was original Japanese version online somewhere (might of been ZOMG Anime) years ago and many years ago when the English version aired on Toonami. Good times...
when Cartoon Network wasn't making retarded live-action shows like Level-Up

I'm interested into getting this but the $15 price tag kinda steep since I'm still holding out 2440 MSP ($30.50) for Skullgirls and Vanguard or Dust: An Elysian Tail, but I suppose it's better than RayStorm HD ($15 and no online play or other special features? ef you, Taito). Back on topic...

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. Finished Seperate Ways and man does it feel like a more harder Assignment Ada. Got Chicago Typewriter for Leon and blasting away mooks, mafia style. Also working Professional mode for the godly version of the P.R.L. 412.

Oh good, you decided to finally finish this up.
Once you have maxed out lives, Story Mode will be easy. XD
Yeah but ever since I got it I've still haven't beaten Story Mode. Why did I curse myself to suck at these games? ;O;

And how come Guardian Heroes got an update yet Radiant Silvergun still has that bug where you get a Game Over in Story Mode...? I want more better 4:3 support and more Saturn features...

« on: March 21, 2012, 05:38:14 PM »
Not sure this relates to the topic, but what about doing something to make the game feel Nintendo Hard? Let's say playing a game naked (as in have no upgrades, power-ups, etc.) if it's even doable.

One time I played through Mega Man X4 since I got bored with 100%-ing the game all the time, so went through the game with no Heart Tanks, no upgrades for X, and stuck to normal weapons only unless special weapons are necessary (like Sigma's 1st form). Completely turned things around for me and it became more of a challenge.

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and brand new this time. Thanks a lot to my bus driver aide for giving me badly mangled copy for Christmas that I have buy it again new... -u-'

It was bought off Amazon, so it should arrive somewhere by Friday.

I might want get Sine Mora, but after playing demo, the game really hates televisions with 4:3 display more than other shooters I've played on this sucky SDTV. I really wish developers in general are considerate about those without 16:9 or 16:10 HDTVs...
Plus I'm stilling waiting for Skullgirls in two weeks.

This sucks. My brother gave back my copy RE4 Wii Edition to a GameStop too late for it to be returned but sold it anyways, and the problem was the bus driver's assistant gave me that copy poorly-treated used with lots of scratches on the disc. I managed to finshed the game no problem but the extras refuses to load because of much messed up the disc is. I really wish she'd bought me new copy instead... ;O;

Crescent Pale Mist (PC). Managed to find and kill that one boss in mook clothing in Chapter 5 to boost the effect my Royal Honey with Hermit's Honey (went from +1,000 Max HP / +25 Max PM / +25 Max CP to +10,000 Max HP / +100 Max PM / +100 Max CP). Maybe now I can face that Nightmare Ghost S.O.B. in Chapter 3 to get Nightmare mode... as soon as I slaughter 10,000+ enemies... :\

Leaving my Xbox on with Radiant Silvergun on as I type this out my Wii Opera bowser. 'Bout pop in Panzer Dragoon Orta or Borderlands if my are able to play tonight on another excursion at T-Bone Junction.

Thank you, Nexus, for proving that common sense on the internet is not entirely dead.

I'm always more into reaction than memorization, myself.  Most NES/SNES games that people think of as "Nintendo-hard" give you plenty of room to do that; heck even certain one-hit kill ones like Contra take care to not let enemies spawn directly next to you.  Unfortunately, many people, including many game developers, think that retro difficulty is solely about memorization (WayForward and even at times Inticreates).  It isn't.  Advanced knowledge always helps but it should never be outright required.

Sometimes, even if you're not specifically into games that are REALLY FRIKKIN HARD, certain ones can tickle you in the right way with visuals, music, characters, abilities, etc., that you're driven to keep trying until you nail it.  That's pretty much what got me through ActRaiser 2; that game is gorgeous in every sensory input that does not include pain.  And I still don't know how the hell I cleared as many Hard Mode story chapters as I did in F-Zero GX.
One of my experiences with this was Crsecent Pale Mist on PC. At first I scorned this game for being damn hard as a hack-and-slash game with no map of any kind, some enemies and bosses can and will be a real pain in the arse (don't get me started with Soray at Chapter 5...), and enemies are capable of unleashing all manners of bullet hell when things get ugly. But the goal of trying to get equipable items to dish some revenge on some of these guys is what sorta kept me playing.

Please, Rockin' Android, release Crescent Pale Mist (and every other doujin games you sell out to Sony especially since these games originated on a Microsoft platform) on XBLA already.

Panzer Dragoon Orta (original Xbox). Damn, why didn't I track this one down 7 years ago when I had the old, fat, bloated piece of gaming machinery that is the old Xbox (I even watched an episode of Cheat! on G4TV featuring among other games before Cory Rouse got replaced). To me, this game is the Xbox's equivalent to Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth except with dragons and healthy dose of RayStorm-esque Macross missile masacre thrown in for good measure. Even by standards, this game still looks and runs great (aside from the occasional crashing and graphical glitching of running it on an Xbox 360, though the crashing could be the used disc that I unfortunately got), the soundtrack is beautiful, and Pandora's Box has plenty of unlockables and secrets to keep any dragon-rider happy for months to come (even the original Panzer Dragoon from the Sega Saturn is unlockable). This game is highly recommended.

I may be talking out of butt, but I find ironic how sometimes people wants a challenging game and games now-a-days are "holding your hands" to make things less difficult, yet people demonize games like Bloodrayne: Betrayal for being "too unforgiving".

*sigh* Wished I played more Shoot 'em Ups as a kid. Maybe I wouldn't suck at anything that isn't a Rail Shooter... :(

Can't wait to play Orta (right). And this copy of RayStorm (left) works like a charm on Windows 7 Ultimate (fully compatible and runs just fine). Got them fairly cheap too. >w<
I wanted a "like new" copy of Orta, but my family just had to notice the "used" section. Least the previous owner took decent care of the game.

No, it's just I'd give people a heads-up before my rantings and I'd thought it would sound funny. I have no problems with swearing, but if it can "make-or-break" person. Just take a look at that fat-[tornado fang] douchebag JefferySparon trolling Minecraft (which I'm surprised admins at YouTube hasn't taken down his account, much less his trolling video to get views, UGH!).

Good thing I caught wind of it at Rockin' Android's Facebook. But man, Fall is such a long way from now. Thankfully Skullgirls (and Vanguard Princess or Dust: An Elysian Tail) will keep me occupied until then. I hope the HD version of ZOE2 is the never-before-released-to-the-states Special Edition.

I'll maybe-probably get that.

Also I'mma just ask here so uh, is there anything worthwhile on PSN I could get for this $5 I've got left over? My usual preference for genre are shooting, platformer and stealth. Already have Sonic CD by the way.
Gunstar Heroes is definitely worth picking up for 2D (Run-and-Gun) shooting action if you haven't played it.
