Hello hello! First off, Dust: An Elysian Tail is nearing the final stages of development. To commemorate, I present to you the final logo for the game!

While it's still too early to pinpoint a release date, I'm excited to start showing the game off. To that end, Dust: An Elysian Tail will be playable in Microsoft's XBLA booth at PAX East this April! (click on either image for a larger version)

This will be the first public showing of the game since it won Dream.Build.Play at PAX 2009. I didn't attend that show, but I'll be at this one with a custom taste of what the game has to offer. Please come visit and try it out in booth #524 this April. I almost guarantee that you'll walk away a changed person!

For a full rundown of the games that will be shown, click here, courtesy of Major Nelson.

Sorry for kicking a dead horse, but here's some interviews with Dean at PAX East 2012 and a video preview of the current build of the game. And I must say, it's looking great.

Crescent Pale Mist (JPN PC ver.). I finally 1CC'd the game's Hard mode and got the Philosopher's Stone in the process! I almost lost it with Soray at Chapter 5 when he unleashed half-assed attempt to instant-kill me with his endless barrage of homing spears, and those things hurt if you let even one hit you while the others zero-in to finish the job. Finally I get to use the Diamond and really show these guys the power of Pale Mist. >BD

RE4: Wii Edition. After nearly 24 hours of grueling agony, I've finally beaten Professional Mode for the second time (the first being on the original GameCube) and got that P.R.L. 412 I've got my eye on... Now it's time to unleash the Murder Beam.

X / Re: Why wasnt X5 the last game?
« on: April 30, 2012, 02:50:13 AM »
Worst part to me is that the game feels incomplete and they rushed it out the doors just for the sake getting more money, and maybe it could of been just that (but might be wrong though). X6 is somewhere between X7 being my least favorite of the X series, but my lot of hatred goes to X6 due to a lot of bad memories of Gate's Lab stages, Metal Shark Player's pancake maker of DEATH, the bad translations, the pathetic Reploids turning into monster if those damn Nightmare viruses get to them, and farking High Max.

If I recall correctly, Capcom wanted to address the issues of the PS1 game for Mega Man X Collection, but there was also a conflict with some plan Inafune had to remake the other games in X series like he did with Maverick Hunter X for the PSP that a lot of the reworking of X6 was never completed.

The funny part to me is that I was [crazy enough] to be willing to 100% complete my through X6 (save all those hapless Reploids, find all those items, armor parts, et cetera) and succeeded in both Normal and Extreme difficulties.

Well look at the bright side, they might get the first DLC characters out by the time you get a chance to play Skullgirls. Also, Reverge Labs just got the soundtrack out at Amazon too.

Europe and Australia release date for PSN: May 2nd.

Also the version update for the 360 version was from Microsoft and it's suppose to fix some issues with using non-standard controllers (let's say flight sticks or a Rock Band guitar) to play the game.

Did anyone get an update when you started up Skullgirls today? I did but I have no idea what's it for. It sure wasn't adding any command list, art gallery, for fixing any glitchy split-second sprite disappearance. :\

Skullgirls (Xbox 360). So I've gotten all the Achievements, cleared everyone's Story Mode, and unlocked all the characters' palettes... so it's 100% Completion until a patch job and DLCs?

Mega Man (Wii Virtual Console). I'm getting sick off all this waiting for La-Mulana's remake, so I went and bought this. Playing this reminds me why love Luste Teuber from Rosenkreuzstilette so much (just because she's a flat-chested loli who called Grolla an idiot and lives to brag about, but for being Metal Man's expy and giver Metal Blade). Is it me, or does the game's visual seems muted/dull? And how is it that the old NES Mega Man games support GameCube controllers and not MM9 and 10?

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition. Still trying to go through Professional mode to get the P.R.L. 412. Right now I'm in Ch. 3-2...

Now that I'm watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica lately, already six episodes in, I'm itching to play Grief Syndrome (the Madoka fan-game the same developers of the Touhou fighting games and MegaMari) and Homura Combat (that new Madoka-clone of Earth Defense Force 2017) again.

It actually is, I was only thinking of legs, thighs, and breast meat from KFC until I found it wasn't. I should be playing that more often... :P But characters' stories just leaves way too many questions than answers, like...

Forgot to update my list with Skullgirls and Fez on my wishlist. Also here's something interesting for any Bunny Must Die fans out there.
Which I'm guessing about 4...

Quote from: Rockin' Android @ Facebook
"Los Angeles, CA, April, 17th, 2012 – Leading publisher of Japanese independent games, Rockin’ Android, announced today that they have officially licensed and localized 2D exploration-based platformer, Bunny Must Die: Chelsea & the 7 Devils, to multiple languages for worldwide release via digital download. It is currently slated for release this summer on PC and console via several of the top online digital distributors."

And there may be hope for a XBLA release... hopefully...

"In addition to our PC releases, we have six titles for PS3 on the PlayStation Store, but we've yet to release anything on Xbox 360. As a matter of fact, we have a running version of BMD on the Xbox 360 at our offices! We'd absolutely love to see BMD on XBLA."

I'm still trying to get "An Ensemble Cast" trophychievement. I tried using all kinds of team and assist combinations. >U<

Posted on: April 13, 2012, 19:18:58
Nevermind, I got it~ :cookie:
And I'm first to complete it~ <3
Good thing I got my corded controller back so I can unlock them myself and focus on getting better at chaining moves afterwards. So I'm making quick progress with Achievements unlike my Radiant Silvergun Achievements, and if I play my cards right, I should get them by tonight. But getting "An Esemble Cast" is another problem for me...

Oh, and Umbrella's "KFC combo" line in Parasoul's story cracks me up. XD
In case no one got the joke, she was referring to Parasouls legs, thighs, and breasts. No wonder Parasoul gets annoyed by her sister...

Trouble Witches NEO! Episode 1. Finally I got that Achievement that's been bothering me since my Gamerscore skewed off the 5 divisibles (normally I wouldn't obsessive over these thing, but having a 7802 score was starting to annoy me, just like Shiki's issues with a lose button on someone's cothes from The World Ends with You).

Seriously, Studio SiestA, why did you have to butcher this game's story with horrid English dubs (that lots of people at GameFAQs love, I might add), bad translations and abridging the story dialogue altogether? If I wanted Trouble Witches NEO: The Abridged Series, I'd hire the guy making the Fire Emblem fandub. But as it stands, this game, and perhaps the series if stays the same localization direction, will become the horizontal Castle of Shikigami. I know I'm being too bitchy about this, especially given the [(Humorus) Storytelling + SHMUP = Irrelevant] "rule" of gaming, but Studio SiestA actually tried make storylines a big part of the game too with the original PC Trouble Witches, and seeing that they did not handle getting an obscure game going to a mainstream platform with any bit of care, is just sad... -AC

-EDIT-
Crescent Pale Mist (JPN PC ver.). Still hunting down items, but get this item from the final boss is annoying since it keeps cock-blocking me from attack the part of its' body I need to hack off to get it.

Ah, so she's just a cheap recycle character. I was expecting a bit more out of that, given her shape shifting ability could be used in a much more creative way, say like Arakune from BB.

Not quite. Double's moves actually come from attacks that were originally thought up for each respective character she morphs into that never made it in the characters' development. Take Parasoul for example, she has a pistol but never uses it herself in the game. Double on ther hand makes use of Parasoul's pistol. Other examples of recycling moves that never were includes Cerabella's hip-lunging attack, Peacock car-ramming super, and Filia's Sub-Zero slide kick (it even has similar execution command to boot) and so forth. The same could be said for Umbrella and Squigly.

So basically, any moves that were designed for the characters but were left out in the final process, became moves for Double.

2297
Well, if it's the NGPC prank, all I gotta say is.. FREE SPRITES, GRAB 'EM WHILE YA CAN!

And another thing, wouldn't the topic be changed to Abdomen = Fighting game PLUS Infinities MINUS Ladies on April Fools? That would've been crazy to hear of an all-star caste of an all-male hoedown that focuses on infinities as it's main gimmick. I would've loved to see how much Reverge Labs would've made a laugh outta that.
I'm guessing you saw the gender-bent fan-art of the cast they posted at their website recently, too. XD

Also, Double's trailer was leaked to YouTube, and HOLY JUMPING BOSOMS BATMAN... :O

Entertainment / Re: TOONAMI IS ON RIGHT [tornado fang]ing NOW
« on: April 01, 2012, 08:55:53 AM »
I was looking for April Fools stuff earlier tonight, but I completely forgot about checking out [adult swim]'s antics. Maybe cause they did the same thing for 3 years prior. The Room is fun and all, but come on. I actually caught this stuff on accident. I flip the channel the wrong way and I see Cell and Gohan in a Kamehameha struggle. I was like "What?" and then I was like "Oh." And then I see the new bumps and TOM and I'm like "OH [parasitic bomb]!"

They're showing Outlaw Star right now. Funny cause I just finished rewatching the series recently. That PG rating is bullshit; it's still the TV version. And the DVDs should be TV-14 at the least. There's boobs in this show occasionally, you know.

Damn, and I got off my Xbox to see what [adult swim] was showing tonight at 2:00 AM and I was like "WHAT?! TOONAMI ON MIDNIGHT?!? AND NOT THAT STUPID-LOOKING TOM (but not the way old one either)?! [tornado fang], HOW DID I MISS THIS?". Funny how they advertise the DVD for Outlaw Star to see the series uncut. Thankfully I have the western time for Cartoon Network with Dish, so I'll stay up to see what I missed at 3:00 AM (hopefully I don't dose off later in the evening).

Least there's always Toonami Aftermath to remind us of the good times of CN...

-EDIT-
Blue Submarine No. 6, too? Now that's "Once-in-a-blue-moon" among animes that Cartoon Network ever aired.

-EDIT 2-
Yep, pixeled the nudity of Tenchi Muyo. I'm guessing the same is gonna happen with Blue No. 6 with Mutio.

-EDIT 3-
And I was right about the censorship with Blue Sub No. 6 too just as it aired on Toonami ages ago.
