You have until the December 17th to snag your free (and legit) copy of Metro 2033. All you gotta do is "Like" thier Facebook page and get your redeemable code! And because this guy is awesome at finding free gems on the interwebs...

Off The Wall / Re: Latest Buys
« on: December 05, 2012, 06:36:30 PM »
I went to Costsco with my older brother and we got bacon, chips, and some other groceries. My brother bought the Back to the Future Trilogy on Blu-ray, and I finally solved the AA battery problems concerning my Wii remote (and pretty much every house hold appliance) by finding the batteries I'm looking for unlike those troopers looking for a certain pair of droids. I know, that crack was in bad taste. I bought a 10-pack of Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries and the charger for it (the Costsco we went to didn't have the pack I was looking for, but I may as well take what I can get for a good 4 or so years).

-EDIT-
Forgot to mention I picked an Italian sandwich and chicken bake over there, too...

Finally got Scott Pilgrim since it's on sale for everyone on Xbox Live (why can't they have sales like this for people without freaking gold membership?) and the Knives Chau DLC. Sucks I won't be able to get the Wallace DLC whenever it arrives since I'm 40 MSP shy of 400.

I think he found RPM through Xbox live, ruri. Thankfully I don't have to put up with batshit crazy drivers in NYC, things are already hellish enough on the road here.

Also, how many people enjoyed their turkey coma?
Wrong. I've been following the site for sometime before getting my Xbox 360 and joining the forums.

-EDIT-
Ack. Ninja'd by Vixy.

-EDIT 2-
He found RPM and friends way before that. I think he means the game offerings in the Indie and Live Arcade marketplaces that are awesome enough to be thankful for. Because games are spread in all kinds of services like XBL, PSN and Steam, one place is more unique than the others. ^^;

I meant by some of the people I've met on Xbox LIVE randomly or through other forums (like GameFAQs and DoujinStyle), but the games they have on there is pretty sweet too.

Yup, this series is gonna put Studio Gainax to shame. 8D

Well [acid burst], now we have stay up even LONGER for Eureka 7. Why bring back the show they milked to death more than Capcom craps a Streets Fighter game? I thought by now they'd learned their lesson...

At least Thundercats 2011 has an earlier spot...

Probably my favorite. Although I will admit, even with my distaste for the game...

X7's Sigma song is good as well!
I can agree with this. Here's one from me.

Gaming / Black Friday sale on Xbox LIVE for everyone!
« on: November 20, 2012, 05:04:48 PM »
Can't go wrong with....

XBLA Games:
- The classic Sonic the Hedgehog series (1, 2, 3&Knuckles, and CD)
- Virtual-ON series
- The Dishwasher series
- Streets of Rage series
- Golden Axe series
- Wonder Boy/Monster World series
- Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Virtua Fighter 2
- Fighting Vipers and by extension Sonic The Fighters (although I've never played either before but gonna pick them up on XBLA when they come out)
- Awesomenaughts
- Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit
- Guardian Heroes
- NiGHTS into dreams...
- Crazy Taxi
- Ecco the Dolphin (although can annoying at timess)
- Toejam & Earl (haven't played these either, but heard good things about it)
- Mark of the Ninja
- Shank series
- Penny Arcade Adventure series
- Dust: An Elysian Tail (basically, the Xbox 360's unintenional Vanillaware game)
- Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
- Terraria (when it comes out)
- Trine 2
- Castle Crashers (too bad I can't play this anyone...)
- Alien Homonid HD
- Hard Corp: Uprising (despite the looks and shoddy dubbing, it's a Contra game at heart)

Xbox Indie Games
- Beat Hazard (don't play this if you're prune to seizure as this doesn't kid around with it strobing effects)
- Breath of Death VII: The Beginning and Chtulhu Saves the Word (fun and quirky RPG parodies with an interessting branching level-up system)
- lumi (kinda like Ecco the Dolphin but you use magnetism to solve puzzles)
- Protect Me Knight
- Blocks that Matter
- Sequence (a mix DDR and an RPG but it's pretty fun and playable with a controller)

-EDIT-
There's a Black Friday sale on Xbox LIVE available for everybody (including us poor folks that can't afford gold membership). I went got SVC: Streets of Rage (even though I have Streets of Rage Remake on PC but I to get better at my own pace), but no more buying on impluse for me until the Model2 Collection arrives.

I have this one. It's very old tho, almost 10 years. Got it for somewhere under $100. Still works~

Can the keyboard work on La-Mulana or only USB keyboards works with the game?

« on: November 18, 2012, 08:56:47 PM »
I was able to help you with a couple of SnR matches if I'm not mistaken. ^^;

When I'm finished with a game I usually just head over to another one.

True, but what of those times I justed have fun with some other games that I tried asking for just for the sake of having fun, you know? And it's not people like me can get good at shooters like you are. Even though I've 100% some my games' Achievements like Bayonetta, Virtual-ON OT, Sonic CD, and Guardian Heroes I won't ignore them afterwards. Now with my Gold membership, I'll have deal with being not able to any games with anybody, let alone talk with anybody on voice-chat. Sorry if this comes off in the wrong way...

Also, I really like new avatar. :3

Bought:
- Splatterhouse (2010) for Xbox 360 (new, $19.99)
- House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return (pre-owned, $17.99 w/o the case unfortunately the disc is mint condition)
- 1,600 MS Points Card
- 2,000 Wii Points Card
- Angry Birds gummies, from Hot Topic
- and Legend of Zelda mints, also from Hot Topic

Sold:
- My brother's Call of Duty: Black Ops since he plays Battlefield 3 on PC

Yeah, I'm having a bloody good time with Splatterhouse (2010) (yes, pun intended). Thank you, Happy Video Game Nerd! 8) And just a heads up for anyone planning on getting this remake:

L-Trigger + mash B = Blood Siphon (consumes 1 meter, heals you right up)
R-Bumper = Guard/Dodge

The tutorial in the game sucks.

Now I just need some rechargable Eneloop AA-batteries and a Nyko Perfect-Shot for Wii and I'm all set for near-arcade House of the Dead shooting action!

why did you waste money on that?

One of two reasons I hate Live, you have to [tornado fang]ing pay for it. (The other reason is that even paying for it, you still get [tornado fang]ing adverts.)

Already sounding like my brother, which to me translates into "Why bother getting an Xbox 360?". Yeah, its stupid that they make people suffer through ads after paying the damn fee (which is why I gave them less-than-favorable feedback on Xbox LIVE Rewards), but its the only to get XBLA games discounted -- when they actually put games worth buying -- rather than wait a year or so for its price to go down. Plus since Microsoft got a working rewards program, I managed to get MS Points just by using the "allegedly" free apps like YouTube and Crackle (yeah it's pocket change for the most part, but at least I got use to the money for Xbox LIVE Indie Games like Protect Me Knight).

Back on topic, while I suffer through the lonesome not being able to play online with my Xbox (especially for Senko no Ronde with only 4 people I know that plays it other than Vixy when she's not busy amassing Achievements, is normally all the time -- no offense), I finally got La-Mulana on WiiWare, and so far its pretty good. (Other games I got today non-downloadables I got are Splatterhouse Remake and House of the 2 & 3 Returns.)

Why hasn't this re-released yet on today's system for Xbox 360? O^O

Necro-posting. I know. But I have a good for bring this topic back. eigoMANGA finally got the English version of the game through GamersGate for $10, but the game is going on sale 50% off for now.
Now they better get this out on Steam or Desura because SecuROM sucks!

-EDIT-
Also available on Amazon's download service.

The TL;DR version: I was (socially) blacked-out for a week, thanks to a hurricane that was on her period, PSE&G for being incompetent morons to fix a simple wiring problem, and this suffering went on for an entire week.

Capcom: Three cancelled games. Fans: two released awesome games. Now we need MM Unlimited and MMX: Corrupted to be released to сompensate Capcom's cancelled games.

Other than RKS and Mega Mari, there's also Touhou Koukayaku: The Game (a Touhou: Unidentified Fantastic Object classic MM fangame by Peposoft packaged with a Touhou doujin album by Conagusuri), GIGADEEP (a free but somewhat buggy MMX parody, also from the makers of Koukayaku: The Game), Ragna Chronicles (a MMX-styled Ragnarok Battle Offline doujin game), and the unfortunately D&C'd Rockmen R: Dr. Wily's Counterattack (a fan-sequel to MM9 staring Roll). If I recall correctly, there's another Touhou-meets-Mega Man doujin game called "TAKOMAN" or something, but nonetheless fans and indie devs are putting Capcom to shame. XD

Really hope there'll be a store that will stock up on physical copies of RKSF and can ship internationally for anyone wanting to hold the game in the palms of their hands.
