Blues tricked Cossack into thinking Wily was behind it.

That was another translation, just MegaMission1 and a million times crappier. The thread should still be around here.

And why haven't I heard about this before, Hypershell?

He held her hostage, in order to blackmail Cossack into repurporsing his robots for combat.

[objection!]

Do you have proof? Wily was never seen with the victim. Only Blues was. Looks more like Blues was trying to blackmail Dr. Wily.

When most fans hear "limitless potential", they think of his combat performance, which is a different thing, although perhaps related.

Those aren't separate things. Remember Sigma's words in Day of Sigma: "So that is the power you possess." in response to X's sudden boost of power. Likewise, there was a similar scenario in the battle with VAVA. These sudden boosts of impossible strength are unique to X. Though, they have been less abundant lately, most likely because X has been fighting on their level.

Zero's equivalent of that, is probably his power growth by the virus, or his learning ability. Though at times you have to wonder why nobody thinks Zero has limitless potential. Just like it's very weird that X is never considered immune to the virus.

Plus i am sticking with the design of the ground i did, sorry

We weren't talking about design, though. We were talking about shading. Compare yours to what you see in PlantMan's stage, for example.

Pointless smaller update, i did reduced the colors of the title screen down to 12

11 actually. Without any change in image quality. Good job.

So, do you feel you need more colors to make it look better, or do you feel that this amount is good enough?

mhhhhh........ok  Roll Eyes

If you don't know what that means. You should just ask for clarification. Perfectionizing those ground tiles is after all a very big aspect of making an already good tileset even better. To put it in Nebula Black's terms; they're very pillow shaded; therefore you can improve upon them by shading them different. As in, without pillow shading.

On another note, I'm probably going to get roasted for even daring to mention this; but the top left two ground tiles (half brown, half green) aren't technically possible due to having 5 colors instead of 4. The similar tiles right next to the spikes, however, are wholly possible. The top left tiles would most likely work and look a lot better if you could incorporate the same basic principle of separating the greenery and the ground by use of black.

honestly i dont see how those should be changed

Right now you're shading the rocks as if nearly all of them have flat or rounded surface parallel to the screen, whereas they should have flat or rounded surfaces at many different angles. Basically, opt for 3/4th view lightsource instead of a front view one.

I counted:

-3 shades of blue
-2 shades of red
-2 shades of skin color
-1 shade of yellow
-2 shades of green
-2 shades of gray
-2 shades of purple
-black
-white

You count that manually. A program count adds up to 26. Which means you need to start unifying different values of the same color. For example, Rock's eyes are a different white than the lines in the background. As you can see, Nebula Black's edit fixes the image by doing exactly.

However, more is to be done still. Are you still adhering to 16 colors even when you switch to Forte and Blues?

Furthermore, aside from just the total, you need to look at each individual mugshot. They are to be made of 2 sprites; 2 palettes with each 4 palette values, 2 of which are by definition slotted to transparency; 6 colors for each mugshot.  Of course, from a quick glance, this is something the total image might already be doing.

Still, from there, the objective is to use all those colors effectively. If you compare Rock's mugshot with the others, you can tell his looks so much better for some reason. That reason is Inti's knowledge of pixel technique, color choice and anti-aliasing, among other things. Try and figure out where more or less use of colors is required and be smart about where you place each pixel.

We've had plenty of past topics on the subject, which you should have seen. You're effectively asking us to recite a 9 page topic, within a completely different one.

Just read up on the discussion here:

You simply don't understand the true meaning of becoming an irregular of one's own accord.

To what end?

New remastered soundtrack with epic drama track of Harpuia, Leviathan and Fefnir dying to protect Zero from Omega's explosion. Or something like that.

Wood Man's stage?

Those aren't real trees. There's an artificial floor. Ladders all over. And lord knows how some of those platforms float in mid air.

892
You can't have a completely natural environment in a Rockman game, though. It's against the rules!

I'm trying to make Megman 12.

Given Capcom's track record, I truly wonder if this means a title change in 2012, or in 2020.

Also, what's with the sudden emergence of all these fangame projects lately?

894
I think that basic idea works nicely, since it fits with it feeling like an artificial environment created by technology. As an extension of that, It'd probably work to have the occasional technological background detail in the sand itself.

895
More explanation please.

As in, how does the tileset transition into pits? As it is, there is no smooth transition from ground into a pit.

896
Perhaps you could post an example of how pits are handled?

Finally, does this mean that Lumine's plan was to let himself get kidnapped so that the hunters would kill Sigma, and he could take his place?

The idea is that Sigma planned everything. Lumine just went with Sigma's plan because it nicely fit with what he wanted, so he just waited till the time was right for him to take center stage.

Quote
I trust by "awakening" he meant Sigma somehow activating his data within the reploids?

It means "becoming Sigma", his DNA influencing their thinking. Becoming irregulars of their own accord. Setting in motion that which can't be stopped; evolution.

When I quote something, it's usually all we have. And you shouldn't expect it to be online. There are no full game translations except for X1 and X2.

This is what I have for X8:

Quote
X: You're Lumine?  You were alright?
Lumine: Alright, of course.  I suppose you're all very satisfied being able to defeat Sigma.  Thanks to which, up until now, plans have proceeded smoothly.
Axl: Weren't you taken and used by Sigma?
Lumine: Used?  I'm afraid you're wrong.  He just played his part. Awakening us, the new types, and changing the world.

Lumine: The copy chip was made from the analysis of various former Repliroids, and among them, naturally, Sigma is there too.

Zero: If what Lumine said was true, Sigma will not return. It’s about time. (Lit: Will probably be a good time.)

Lumine: It isn't the case that (or perhaps more naturally, "It's not like") Sigma was by any means insane.
Sigma, of his own free will, rebelled against your world.
And us repliroids of the new generation, are able to become like Sigma at any time.
(cutscene starts)
We, of our free will, are able to wage battle against your old world.
To put it in a way you('d/'ll) understand...
We, of our free will, are able to become Irregular(s).

Sigma to X, on his "children":
ヤコブ計画は新世代型レプリロイドの設計段階から我が手の内にあったと言うことだ。

You could well say that the Jakob Project, from the very planning stages of the new generation repliroids, was all by my plan!

Sigma to Axl, same:
ヤコブ計画で産み出された新世代型レプリロイドの設計に干渉し、コピーチップに我がデータを刻んだのだ!

Because I intervened in the design of the new generation repliroids created for the Jakob Project, and engraved my data on the copy chips!

Dr. Cossack and Kalinka have not made an appearance for awhile, chances say they could have made a new robot in that time.

Duo was originally supposed to have been that robot.
