Rockman Series / Re: Sprite Questions?
« on: August 12, 2012, 09:57:58 PM »
From what I know, X ditches the black outline in the later X games of the series, most likely to show off the PSX's processing power, plus now that there are more color choices (and a new artist for the games), the sprite style most likely had to evolve too.

But I'm not too sure of X's history as a spriting style, and the Zero series is very different (as it is known for the frowned upon air-humping in some spriting communities), but I'm not as familiar with that style as X/Classic, aside from it, like X4, not using the trademark black outlining that most mega man sprites are known for.

Why are they working on gundams crotch

Because daily maintanance, even if it concerns metallic genetalia. The Metallikats do it too.

Sees OP, my initial reaction was: "Huh, this will be inter.." Then remembers Hyper Dimension Neptunia, despite being an all-loli cast based on consoles, yet similar in some way.

My Reaction: "And boom goes the dynamite, looks like they are at it again."

X / Re: X4 is really overrated
« on: August 11, 2012, 02:21:51 AM »
you don't say

I do agree with you on some merits about it being overrated, story is okay at best (feels like an anime episode at best with villain of the week and what-have-you), and sometimes getting the light capsules were annoying at times. I also bet people only played it for the Zero experience, as for some reason.

But in general.. eeeeehhh. I think Mega Man's not the hot topic in the american gaming industry like he was during his 1990s-2006/8 run. But I guess it can be said for many franchises no?

I said it was only speculation that her design is gonna get messed with, you know. To keep up with intrests. Or to show "age" in a character.

And I would if I had the budget, I feel as though console games are more pricey than their handheld bretheren, and the only game I have in the series is the "fighting game" BlayzBloo. It was cheap too.

A bit of the second and a lot more of the last.

Nah, it was the usual "channel surfing until something of intrest comes on" kinda deal.

Teenage android schoolgirls.

Three words that only make sense in anime.

Though... there is this.

And that robot girl from My Life as a Teenage Robot, I know for sure. Used to immediately change the channel whenever that came on. Then there's Robot Jones, Bender Bending Rodriguez (he has a surname!), and other robots who act like humans in many ways *coughreploidscough*. Forgetting a few others though that have a very human AI (not sure if Courage's smartass PC is a unique case here).

Hmmm, will there be exclusives this year? I'd like to get my mitts on Prototype threepio~

Also, Jazwares seems more competent these days (but not perfect though, the Sonic toys seem to have issues with the legs, I remember buying a diorama two-pack with Metal and Eggman and did not know both figures had gps). Not sure of their Adventure Time line though.. A whole line of nothing but bendable toys? eeeh, I'll pass.

Did you find the notorious gold plastic syndrome yet quickie? There's a few good photos on the net that features screw-ups with the legs on the StH line.

What the [tornado fang] did they do to Noel

Apparently it's gonna be a common theme for here on out to mess with Noel's design. Remember the last time they changed her from Calamity Trigger to Continuum Shift?

It's that time when Makoto was only an NPC in Calamity Trigger before getting her own costume and becoming playable in Continuum Shift as DLC, and now probably being playable from the get-go this time around. [tornado fang], I really need to catch up on this series (really easy to do before Chronophantasia hits US shores), don't want this one becoming another Guilty Gear for me.  X(

My favorite spidey is 2099 spidey in the comics. I don't know about the regular spidey, he always felt better for TV due to how the writers usually handle the character in the comics. I mean, sometimes you just gotta develop a character/reboot him. Just look at DC. The only problem with supes I found before the reboot because he was sort of unbalanced as he was around since the golden age of comics and was kinda hard to transilate into video games at times, though, are we in for a new golden age of comics?

Do you really think that constitutes as 'japan's wierder [parasitic bomb]'?

You've seen this? I didin't even KNOW it was gonna be weird.. Then I felt horny. Goddamnit japan!

"Japan's weirder [parasitic bomb]" could be just about personal opinion though, but who gives a rat's ass on the interwebs anyway? I'd like to know what constitutes as your "japan's weirder [parasitic bomb]"? I've could've SWORN I've seen worse, especially in the R34 department.

Pfffft.

Can I tell you I own a dvd of Magical Kanaan? Also, who's Mirai again? There's litterally thousands with such a name, but like america, japan loves genericness I suppose. :/

I knew that was an Interceptor! For some reason I find the Advanced and Interceptors to be designed similarily, most likely the Advanced being the prototype (no [parasitic bomb] sherlock!).

I would love to sit in one though.

What an intresting fighter he got there. Is it an Interceptor, or an Advanced? I bet it would be fun to sit in one of these in Celebration 666.

(I bet with enough work you can get these fuckers off the ground by using ACTUAL ion engines for propulsion)

I had always considered Maui Mallard and Donald Duck entirely seperate entities, with Maui using Donald as a base. Same with Darkwing and Scrooge, as some people thought Ludwig's base was a younger Scrooge, therefore being "one and the same".

This has been another.. Useless Fact.

"Titty Monster" Sonico is getting a figma, like I've heard of "her" before only through an LP of some of japan's wierder [parasitic bomb].

As for the last one, tell that who's not a uber-massive anime fan. :/

I'm gonna try the ever-popular internet reviewer show and my theme would be battle figures. A good reason is I played a good deal of them over the years I started to take notice how similar they are.

It can range from the newest game to the oldest, which here is an example known as: Monsuno in Q & A format before I ever think about writing a script (and finding a good sense of humor that's decent enough not to annoy/confuse the [tornado fang] out of anyone, as seemingly usual).

Q: Does it have a prophetic approach to it's storyline?
A: YES! It revolves around five kids and their titular creatures, and there just so happens to be a prophecy that are based off the usual five kids!

Q: Is the villan(s) in an organization?
A: S.T.O.R.M. is the obligitory anti-hero group of this game's story.

Q: As of now, is it from Japan, like most popular battle figure games?
A: No, intrestingly enough. Japan will receive Monsuno under the title 獣旋バトル モンスーノ (Beast Rotation Battle Monsuno) in October. We mostly got the battle figure games from the japanese, but not the other way 'round (and some didin't exist at all in japan, same goes with some of japan's JP-ONLY battle figure games).

Q: How do you find the gameplay?
A: As soon as I get the second character, and actually test out the battle mechanics. You still have to shout like a damn fool to get the game going, though.

However, I'm gonna need technical stuff and a good sum of money if I go with the title card route.
