Earthbound I need get playing again eventually. FF7 however, I can say this: Why is it that when I freshly aquire Arieth/Aries, I seem to lose track of what to do and end up grinding for the most part (yes, this happened with BOTH the origional game and PSN re-release, that's [tornado fang]'d up)?  o-O

You know, the customization of the first game was quite fun and it's quite the game to hold you over until your most wanted game comes out, which is pretty much it. Beat it the first run, though never got the secret ending. Though I was never a completionist, TBH.  :\

Weak-Minded?

I was thinking more along the lines of starting conventions and competitive events, like Devroom-type contests, fan game/rom hack contests, speedruns, etc. Active social stuff. Stuff that gets us noticed and attracts attention, specifically of other gamers as well as Mega Man fans.

However, for several times we see many a mega man sprite comic. I don't think a simple webcomic would be enough to patch the massive hole in the fanbase either. Also, mega man fangames very rarely go past the MM2 formula, being NES style at best, with once-and-a-blue-moon fangames such as Corrupted.

Also the last unique sonic fangame I've witnessed so far was an eggman-themed romhack in which you captured Sonic's animal friends per zone before the timer runs out.

And the last one to recently come out was the Secret World of Arrittey, another Ghibli film to see US shores and theaters. Speaking of which, there's probably still more Miyazaki films yet to see stateside.

Wily Capsule's a mother-[sonic slicer]. Way harder than Kaiser Sigma. You wanna talk cheap, though? Gamma Sigma. That's a cheap bastard right there.

Gamma Sigma is a [tornado fang]ing JOKE. Played X5 to death and I memorized ALL of his attack patterns. In X1 you can simply hadouken him when the arms in the second phase hits just the right time. Same with shoryuken with the first sigma phase in X2, just gotta get that timing absolutely-fukkin' right.

My favorite fight though has to be X6 as for the fact that it gives you something to laugh at, both phases are easy as the first round sigma does almost nothing and the second fight you can just nearly avoid everything he throws at you plus you can freakin' school him in a few hits with the upgraded X-Buster alone.

Rockman Series / Possible changes for the franchise?
« on: August 18, 2012, 08:34:30 PM »
I've been thinking lately after what happened, so it's like this: What would you like to see changed in the Mega Man franchise? I'd like to know because sometimes it's fun to experiment with things to see if it works (Ride Chaser Sequence) or doesn't (X6's Nightmare System). Honestly I think change can be possible for this series, worked with Battle Network, did it? (it took a HUGE leap from traditional platformers and worked greatly)

I personally like to see how capcom would handle an SRPG series featuring various tidbits established in the Mega Man saga, that or a complete reboot of the series.

Jet Force Gemini? I'm already wearing a home-made Blockman Dash skin (kudos to whoever made that)! XD

Plus I plan to make a few skins for mincraft hopefully. I know a guy who wears a Zoidberg skin in the TDoP group.

I don't think I have.. Guess I've been hanging with the wrong crowd.. Or I have been too busy with other things to notice (or just damn picky lately). I am relived to hear that. Might as well chin up and give it a go.

Rockman Series / Re: Mega Man Archie Comics

Just saying this:

Musical refrence in the title is awesome. Only because I feel like I'm one of the few that will actually listen to Journey perform.  XD

Most likely there's negative opinions because time travel and comics almost never seem to go well (bimbos in time) or just a huge dimensional mess (crisis on infinite earths event). So we might get a Mega Man version of Marvel's Civil War event AFTER this arc (remember: BIG IF, as Archie and co. have yet to make a cameo but Magic vs Tech sounds like a good story arc between Sabrina and Rock), and hopefully this will lead to the crossover storyline since Mobius was revealed to be earth 1,000 or so years later in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic that was established awhile back.

^^^^^^

This. If only Kaiser took x2 damage from normal shots (for being such a SMALL target) He could've been more tolerable (or just weak to Tornado Fang, either way). But yep, they made him ON PAR with Wily Capsule 7.

If the Zero, BN, SF, ZX, Legends series had equivalents, it would be..

That's pretty much what I'm doing.  Spidey earns his keep, he can stay in the apartment.

He crawls across my face at night, and he goes outside.

That's nice to have around the house. if you're relatives don't panic and try to kill it on first sight

As for me, I oughta do something about that wasp nest that's taken refuge in I believe where the old one was. small black beetles is one thing (they are a minor nuisance, but I blow them off anyway), but I do not welcome wasps.. unless it's that one Avenger.

Looks like you got yourself a spider issue. Better adopt him as a pet?

Well, there WERE games like Mortal Kombat and Conker's BFD (one being VERY gory and the other one quite.. out there, even being on the N64 it landed an "M") so.. Eye of the beholder I guess? But being on a NINTENDO CONSOLE would definitely raise some eyebrows, considering that Nintendo of America had that "kid friendly" image for so long, but once this future M-Rated title (M of course, sexual themes and various other nods here and there) they're gonna have to come up with a new game plan.

Ooh well. I'll just keep tuning in to CBS News Channel 5 then for the latest update.

If I recall, domesticated spiders were basically natural bug-killers, until they start taking over the damn place. That's when you bring out the shovel. While on the subject, this beauty:

And if I remember correctly, the game will most likely get slammed by critics due to the content if it came out to the west, no doubt about it, plus you know.. soccer moms. Just like games before it (and nintendo of america, gotta remember that).

Hey, at least with the sonic fanbase their games actually do come out.

Yeah, we did. ..Though we also got a fair share of immaturity too during the StH dark ages, so for me it was relatively nothing new. Oh well, nothing is perfect. *shrug*

No he's not. I plan on banning him tonight for actually voicing his thoughts in the "What Are You Thinking Now?" thread.

Actually, you're not the only one on that boat. I for one just stopped caring for that whole shtick and moved on. But apparently these "fans" let themselves get caught by the waves of the trends come and gone, and set sail. And for what? Only to come back and see that Legends 3 got cancelled, thus leading to a mega man variant of the "Sonic Cycle".

Okay Valve, you lost a bit of my respect.

You [tornado fang]'d up all the community servers with your last update to TF2, you made the MvM "Official" Servers Pay 2 Play (at least its not the "Haha you lost [tornado fang] you wasted voucher" [parasitic bomb], but you still need multiple vouchers to complete a whole "Tour of Duty"), AND i've been getting auto-disconnected on a frequent basis, which has never happened before.

What the [tornado fang] are you doing over there? Do you really need money so badly that you're doing ANOTHER shitty Micro-transaction scheme in a game that already has one? WHY?

However for me.. I don't seem to have played mvm with anyone yet. Now I don't have to, Just like Mega Man Xover, Bomberman: Act Zero, and Sonic 06!  8D

Same with good refrence art, a some are few and far between (and the comics themselves aren't that much reliable due to her being at random shots).

But I can -probably- attempt at one. Just not expect some explosive results.

The player character looks like gate for some reason, and the plot seems to be a typical time-jump-story-arc which would have no impact on the main series, just like Rockman Online (ironically, both Star Force and EXE are present, and they had a time travel sub-plot and Legends is on the list)! Oh goody, another time travel-based MMO!  -AC

I could have sworn I saw one a foot and a half long when I was younger, but I'm also of the mind that I was delusional at the time.

Did you mistook a wasp/hornet for one? If you did, it wasn't a very nice experince..

I dunno, Big Gun Sigma is a cakewalk because verything is so telegraphed.  First 2 forms are easy too because it's entirely your fault if they break out the harder attacks (Reaper Sigma orbs and letting the scythe hit the floor in the 2nd form).  I just think that the debris attack is so OP that it bumps up the difficulty alone.  You can't really dodge it consistently (have fun if it comes out of the floor) and there's no way to manipulate him into using the wind attack.  I'd say it's worse than X5's purple block attack TBH.

[sonic slicer] be no problem for me, I usually hang around in the middle/far right of the arena before ugly head Siggy attacks, giving enough room to dodge. If I remember correctly you can also destroy the projectiles.
