Tackled both Inktober and Goretober in one today. Today's Goretober theme is extra eyes/mouths/limbs, etc, so I used a character with three eyes, added four more, and turned the existing three eyes into mouths.
I'm scared of my own drawing.
I'll make sure to post it here when I scan it tonight.

Even in a good area with plentiful food and water, that first winter is the hardest. If your fortress can survive the first winter, you've got a good chance.
My last fortress survived and actually prospered for several seasons! And then we had a werebeast outbreak that slaughtered 3/4ths of the population and the beasts were only dealt with when they were trapped in part of the fortress, which was collapsed. While considering whether or not to rebuild, a vampire started killing off the children, so the fortress was abandoned to ruin.
Oh, and all the trouble started when the former mayor stepped down and a dwarf named after you became mayor. :B

You want a challenge for surviving winter? Play Dwarf Fortress with your fortress in a really crummy area and try to gather up enough food to survive the winter months. Oh, and you have very limited clean water and need to dig a well. Meanwhile, elven caravans are few and far between.

I wanna learn how to drive and get my license. I really do. But, no one is willing to teach me and driving lessons are too expensive for me to afford. I haven't a car of my own, so I can't just go drive and hope no one notices.
So, I don't drive. I don't drive because I can't drive and no one will teach me to drive. I'm also almost blind in one eye, so perhaps it's best I don't drive.

I haven't learned to drive yet. Though, it's mainly because my family never tried to teach me. Ringman learned how to drive from his wife's parents and he tried to teach me to drive, but my first lesson ended with me taking a turn too sharply, driving into a ditch, hitting a tree, and blowing a tire. My dad flipped right the [tornado fang] out and pretty much forbade me to learn to drive.
Now he continually gets on my case because I never learned to drive.
