I'm sure this has come up a million times before in the past and, in fact, I think there was a decent enough answer given at one point. However, I have long since forgotten what the answer was, so I'm going to go ahead and ask here:
What do robots in the Rockman universe bleed?
Most people say they just bleed motor oil, but I seem to recall that there was a very specific fluid that flows through a robot's/android's/Reploid's "veins" much like blood flows through a lot of organic things. What I can't remember, however, was what it was. It's red like blood (sometimes a darker shade of red than normal blood), has the viscosity of blood, and apparently stains and sprays like blood, but it's not supposed to be blood.
So what is it?
-
I just say it's coolent or something.
-
I don't know about it having any official name, but it's robot fluids. Future robots. Anything's possible.
-
If I'm not mistaken it's an energy transference through liquid system. So, basically it does the same thing as blood in humans.
-
It's Fruit Punch
-
I always assumed it was ultra low temperature plasma. It could be hydraulic fluid for all I know. =]
-
Everybody knows Reploids run on Big Oil.

Unlike those liberal Demobots.

So many humans died during the Maverick Wars / Elf Wars / Robot Apocalypse that they needed a place to put all the blood.
-
It's clearly alcohol, robots need that to keep their fuel cells full :L
But seriously, it's likely coolant to prevent overheating. Humans expend quite a bit of heat walking around all day, imagine how much heat would be generated by running through a battlefield, dodging shots left and right. Either that or it's autorepair nanobots that're being transported all around the body, which would logically be caught up when something puncture the surface since it needs to get out to do the repairs.

I see what you did there.

It's probably both. Nanobot cells suspended in a coolant fluid. Considering how much more Reploids might generate heat--especially sophisticated war machines--it'd be in their best interest to be cold-blooded, I think.

Obviously Kool-Aid.
-
ultra low temperature plasma
I'm like 99% sure that's impossible for very definitive reasons.
-
>Low Temperature
>Plasma
pick one.
-
unless its blood "plasma"
-
You know, I thought of that. And then I thought, "Nah. That's too silly." But even if it is... what's it filled with? Synth-plasma for robots would have to have... something in it that'd be beneficial to the operation of robots. XD
-
unless its blood "plasma"
Completely different plasma
-
Hence "
-
Low temperature as in "cold plasma" where about 1% of the gas is ionized...
-
Ah. Still, why would that be suitable as blood?
-
Because it's still hot enough to prevent anything from clumping up and blocking the passageways that hold the 'blood'? I don't think it'd really be suitable but then again it is Capcom and this is Science Fiction. =]
