Title: So I am trying to start my first amv project?
Post by: Waifu on October 05, 2010, 03:29:30 AM
I had never done an amv before and I always wanted to attempt one but I was busy with other things. I want to know where I can go to find clips or how to start an amv or what program to use?

it's hard to make amvs without being like every other stupid 13 year old on youtube who plops their favorite anime into windows movie maker and tries to get attention with their lazyass work. before you do anything else, get a programme that isn't windows movie maker, take the time to watch tutorials and learn how to use it. then, try making things that aren't amvs. you can come back to learning that once you build skill you have confidence in.

Vegas is nice; went to it after WMM crashed at 6% rendering every time.

WMM is a decent program, but Jesus did it crash a whole lot.

Remember to not overuse effects.
Especially the hideous ones.
It's the reason I almost never use effects in my amvs, side for some simple and nice looking ones.

Of course, with the correct use of effects, transitions and [parasitic bomb] you can get a very nice looking amv... that is if you really know what you're doing. : >

WMM is actually a pretty decent program, if it decides to cooperate with you. Otherwise, it's about as useful as Vista.
