Honestly, if none of you New Yorkers (New Englanders get a little break... just a little) go to this, you forfeit your geekdom immediately.
Downloadable defense game sensation Plants vs. Zombies invades the nation's largest Halloween celebration, as hordes of zombies and their leafy foes take to the streets in New York City's 36th Annual Village Halloween Parade.
Popcap Games is an official sponsor of this year's Village Halloween Parade, and they're not content to be represented by a lousy street sign. No, they're forming a Plants vs. Zombies troupe to march in the parade, inviting fans of the game, zombie groupies, and "macabre gardening types" to come celebrate with them on October 31st. The company is attempting to make this year's event the largest zombie gathering in parade history, going as far as to extending special invitations to zombie enthusiast organizations such as NYC Zombie Crawl and ZombieCon.
...
The parade kicks off at 7PM on Halloween night. If you're in the area, you probably won't want to miss it. And hey, bring the kids! It's an excellent alternative to keeping them locked in the closet all night for their own safety.
I expect RPMs presence to be felt there in some form... and videos, of course.

Uh I'll be getting drunk Halloween probably
-
Holy [parasitic bomb], seriously? XD
I think I'm gonna have to find a way to go there for the laughs.
-
Where was that Layton event where some guy in a top hat went around asking people to solve a puzzle, and if they managed it they could get a free copy of the newest game?
-
So what exactly is Plants vs Zombies?
-
I go to the Parade every year, so no worries there, STM! XD

So what exactly is Plants vs Zombies?
A game where plants replace humans (in a manner of speaking, humans are there for support) in the fight against freedom against the brain-munching zombies which are fought in waves. Plus lawnmower action by using it to mow them down.

For what platform?
-
Steam, primarily, but you can get it standalone on the PopCap site. Beware of addictive minigames while you're there...
-
Ooooooh. I thought it was a like an original game concept, not another [tornado fang]ing FPS. I mean, I guess Valve makes the best nowadays, but it's still the same thing. I'm good with AvP2.
-
It's not an FPS o.o
-
They make not FPSs? What I'm so confused
-
Steam doesn't only have Valve games, in fact most of the games they have on there now aren't by them ^^
It's kinda more of a online PC game shop now I guess.
-
Oh, well I don't really use them. I mostly just know of them through my friend who does nothing but play TF2 & the zombie one.
-
Yeah, Steam has like a million games, 10 are Valve games. Which are all FPSes to be fair, but still.
-
I didn't know Steam was separate.
-
The more you know!
-
Holy [parasitic bomb]! Plant vs Zombies? live!
I demand a livefeed video NewYorkians! 8D

SUNFLOWER!
Really, this game is great. If someone didn't go, I'd have to destroy RPM. Again.
PB and J, take pictures please.
