Title: Post why you joined RPM and how did you find it!
Post by: SoulAnimal on May 20, 2009, 03:27:36 AM: Its simple , just post why you joined here and how you found this place ;)

I Joined because I was originally a guest , but was using this place and reading your threads so much I eventually joined and became the Soulanimal of RPM!!! kinda.
And i found this place from one of my other role-play websites , and someone was really into megaman and i was asking what did his character look like , and he gave me the link here , and said "go to the wallpapers and look under ZX and you'll see model ZX click that "So strangely I kept comign back , liking this place , untill i joined. >U<
Also one reason i really love the ZX series , it was the first seires i ever saw >w<
( but im almost liking the EXE series more... , i gotta stay strong!! )

Post by: Gaia on May 20, 2009, 03:35:24 AM: I was a drifter way-back-when during when Sprites Inc was a medium-sized archive with what was emuable at the time, and not very well organized (some of the rips were messy) and RPM at it's craziest.

Had drama here and there, took the crash as an oppurtunity to redeem myself, and now is here where I stand: a member with enough fourm experince to go around with proper grammar and decent sprites to go around.

During those times I also flocked to sites like MFZ and Pixeltendo (even a mario site named boomansion, but it's under maintanance now :P) in it's "Best Years" and gained some experince while I was around those sites before I joined again.

I knew about RPM well before, but it was just another affiliate to me. I didn't even go into the forums.
But one day I was bored, and decide to browse around and see how different it was to the place I frequented.
I found it was a lot less strict about post content than inc(but most forums are anyway). There were also a
lot of members with colorful personalities!

At first I was just a spectator. But then I began to question whether
or not if I should register... I really wanted to...but I could get up the nerves. The whole "what if they don't like,
or what if I do something stupid? I always pull some stupid thing that haunts me forever!". But more importantly,
I just could see myself as an RPM member. No matter how hard I tried to imagine it, I could never think of fitting in.

I've always had a big self-confidence issue when it came to starting out in a new place...

But eventually, I just ignore those thoughts and hoped for the best. Not that I rushed into things.
I stayed small and quiet. I didn't give out much information about myself, and post here and there without making
a big attraction out of myself. I didn't even make an avatar, because, what on earth could I use? Nothing seem to
describe me personally. Had was nervous coming up with a username. I spent days trying to think of something good
until I just gave up and picked something simple.

But yeah, in short, I had a little trouble getting here...

I joined because of Subtank's Artificial girl 3 thread. XD I wanted to post a comment, then learned it had been locked for a while. so I stayed, since I'm a big Megaman fan.

When RPM loaded up, I saw the ZXA trailer made by Sub Tank, it was too darn hilarious.
Looking through some posts, found that this forum was rather fun, so decided to join.

I was a lurker for about one years, browsing the forum around, especially the Random Pic thread.

The community itself I find is the best compared to other forums I lurked, but because the members were like a huge family, I found it's hard to join.

After a while, I just say "screw it" and register.

Now, I think I'm inside that said huge family now. 8)

But i didnt join in immedietly.I lurked around here about half a year cause i was afraid of being a damn noob around asking impropiate question and such,or to see how active this site was.After the site crashed,i joined in without thinking any reason.....maybe because had full time on using the net at that time. 8D

The people here are certainly friendly enough (if a bit egomaniacal in some cases).

Plus I get to contribute stuff, which is nice.

Granted, that I large majority of Rockman forums are probably gone now or I haven't seen them in awhile but I joined RPM because I was getting into the Rockman series and this place helped cement my status a fan.

Searching through Google and found the site, it hosted many interesting news and such.
So I bookmarked RPM into my main source of Megaman news.

I decided to join the forum in hope that I will be in touch with Megaman gaming community more.
But it turns out that I spent most of my time in Fan Creation, drawing stuffs. :chant:

And yeah, my interest changed into art more than Megaman, but I still love this site.
That's why I come back for more. Even now I have no interest in newer installment like Battle Network/Star Force or ZXA (except MM9 :P)

I had lurked here before that fateful day, through random affiliate link clicking. Like many, initially your world of RPM frightened and confused me. After all, I'm just a ninjaman. Although I can't remember quite how long ago I first found this place. Not the first year and a half probably, but I somewhere soon after, I'd venture.
