If Capcom has learned anything from the failure of RE5, Mercenaries 3D and fan rage over Operation: RC, they'll use whatever left of their braincells to make this true survival horror and not a third person action shooter game. As of now, fans are only hyped up for Revelations' "bringing back the horror" tagline. And the gameplay proves that it's true.

You know though, ever since I saw the beta footage of RE4 I'm saddened that that was not what we got.

I wonder if Capcom ever gave a reason to why they changed it. As far as i'm concerned, that had a high potential of being their absolute best RE game without argue. If not their best game ever made.

Can't argue with that. We'll see how the gameplay turns out. If it ends up like RE5 all over again, we can all agree that Capcom is officially confused on how to handle the RE franchise.

Can't blame Capcom for not knowing what people want.  First they complained for years about how the series wasn't really changing, the camera/pre-rendered backgrounds/tank control, the backtracking/key getting/chest management etc, and now they complain about how they aren't like that anymore.  And if you're talking about how the series is more action oriented and less horror, well, it's kinda been that way since RE2 ^^;

As fair as that is, the real problem i've had is the INCREDIBLY in your face "America [tornado fang] yeah!" and "Terrorism is bad m'kay?" additions.

To be honest i think what really broke people in regards to the fetch questing was Code Veronica, and anybody who remembers having to get all those god damn emblems for that god damn plane will agree with me.
