I wish they'd use the Justin Bailey approach again. You know, suitless Samus with an arm cannon. Just become a mass of hair and leather spinning around a light for Morph Balling, and you're set.

They were working on a fanmade 2D Prime a while ago. Don't know if anything came of it.

Mirror's Edge would be an awesome 2D game. Oh wait, they already did that.

The PS2 Castlevanias and No More Heroes could work too.

Very yes. Also, not to beat a dead horse, but I imagine a 2D Super Mario Galaxy would be ten times better than the actual SMG and that's saying a lot.

I dunno. The games work so well, I think, because they're in 3D. Dunno if it would be quite the same if they were placed in a 2D realm.

Besides, there's Viewtiful Joe, practically begging for a sequel that could expand on his game's engines in such a way.
