It just looks like every other FPS on the market right now.I sincerely disagree. FPS have been somewhat stale for years now, with very few gems in the sea of [parasitic bomb].
That bit with the chainsaw was amaaaaaazing thougheh, im not sold on that particularly because the chainsaw looks like it's simply a "press x to instant kill" takedown, instead of an actual weapon that requires keeping it on the enemy to kill them.
Yeah, nothing about this screamed doom to me.i'm really not seeing what's so modern about it. there seems to be some actual level design going on in the UAC base, the trailer and multiplayer reveal show actual speed, there is no stamina or regenerating health, and absolutely no reloading. if anything, "modern FPS with classic FPS stuff", which is fine with me, considering it could have been far worse.
It just sort of wimpered out a "Modern FPS with Modern FPS stuff".
There's still a decent bit of classic styled shooters popping up now and then so nothing really strikes out to me with this one, regardless of name. I'm sure the PC version will have FOV adjustment and weapons bound to number keys at least. That and some of the older classics like Shadow Warrior, Unreal, and Quake are still around for people to play. Heck, you can get the original DOS version of Shadow Warrior on Steam for free if you want.
the enemies all dropping health+ammo isnt my thing, but on the other hand, holy [tornado fang], no reloading! No regenerating health! To be fair, some of the zombie enemies in the older Doom games like the shotgun and chaingun zombie dropped whatever weapon they had and that can be used to fill your ammo reserves.
I sincerely disagree. FPS have been somewhat stale for years now, with very few gems in the sea of [parasitic bomb].
I'm not into FPSs so what is DNF?
The Ubisoft one is quite cringe-worthy.
I am pleased.
Do I want to know, I was watching Young Frankenstein during that."MEMES" and dancing
"MEMES" and dancing:o
Sorry for asking a dumb question, but what did I missed because of dinner?
Welp, I now I have an excuse to play the Uncharted games.
Not going to lie, Horizon has my interest of the bunch.
Horizon - Kinda got a Monster Hunter kinda vibe, but with its own touch. Probably more story-based too of course.
The Last Guardian - I'll believe it when I see it released at this point :P
Street Fight V - More Street Fighter. Not a bad thing, but yeah.
Uncharted 4 - The series is... not my cup of tea. I gave it two chances, and neither time did the gameplay grab me. Writing's still fun though.
Almost Lost Vikings-ish.Except less frustrating and more Fabulous!~
I signed in just for this:I liked those too.
STAR FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXX
*cough*
I like the Star Fox 2 elements they snuck in there, pretty cool.
With that, away I go!
Oh yeah... was no one talking about that SMT x Fire Emblem game earlier in Nintendo Direct? I was shocked that Chrom was in and that was his design.I think the less we talk about it the better.
What was everyone else's thoughts? Felt... lackluster this time around with the whole "pop idol" look they're going for, for this SMT x Fire Emblem game.
Platinum helped with Star Fox Zero?!
Ahem.......do continue! 8D
Anyone else think Rise of the Tomb Raider sounds kind of weird for a title?
It would be reaaaaaaaaally funny if they announced this phone game as Kingdom Hearts 3.The audience would have rioted, luckily Kingdom Hearts 3 is next.
So thoughts on World of Final Fantasy?
My same exact thoughts as with FFVII remake, or most FF games. :VI guess that makes sense coming from you. Is any Final Fantasy game you liked?
STAR FOX ZERO!! OMG!! So happy this is happening~!! Many elements from SF64 and SF2 are being used here~!! Day One Purchase!! #DoABarrelRollAlso FF7, KH3 and Shenmue 3 are my most-wants as well~ >U<
...what the hell was that? What were you talking about?
It's a new RPG in development by Square's new company the RPG Factory. Setsuna is just a code name at the moment.
Yes, I know. I just hate reveals like that. But whatever.
In any case, I'll probably be heading to Nintendo World tomorrow to try out Star Fox Zero & Super Mario Maker.
Looked like Nintendo's list wetted appetites of all ages. Nice to hear. One of those will never, ever happen. Don't do that to yourself.
*waits forever for Pokemon Z and Megaman ZX3*
One of those will never, ever happen. Don't do that to yourself. What are you saying!? POKEMON NEVER DIES!! *delusional*
That one was an odd choice, to be sure. It looks like it'll be OK, not terrible but not what people wanted.
The main issue was that the last one was just so goddamn hilarious with it's reveals and everything. I mean, it wasn't overwhelming. Neither was this one. But the Robot Chicken stuff helped to sell it a lot better.Honestly I liked Nintendo's presentation more than Square's on a presentation level despite the fact it was obvious they didn't care about E3 ever since they had Nintendo direct. Yes Square had more games that people were excited for, but go the amount of talking and the sudden montages made me bored, especially when they talked through the Just Cause 3 Trailer.
I think what people forget is that they really don't care much for E3 anymore since they started doing the Nintendo Directs. When they've got new [parasitic bomb] to sell, they just announce a new Nintendo Direct in like a week or so and then boom, information. Personally, I vastly prefer that to the Project SETSUNA "here are some pretty pictures more on this in a [tornado fang]ing year" format.
People are whiners. Whiners who don't like Star Fox. Who cares what they think. This guy sure doesn't.I like this dude.

hah. wow. the Federation Force video has over 20,000 dislikes on youtube compared to only like a meager 2,000 likes. nobody likes itThe game IS underwhelming, but what slays me is that everyone's problem is the name: If this was a new shooting IP and they said Samus would make an appearance, nobody would give a damn. Heck, if they called it "Metroid Blast 2", people might have liked it. But because it has "Metroid Prime" in the title, which let us not forget is a label that includes a freaking pinball game, that makes it a horrific betrayal.
Nobody ever asked for it either. What people DO want is a new Metroid game. This looks like some kind of rejected Nintendoland bit. What were they thinking when the Franchise has been dead for the last 5 years, with not even an acknowledgement of it's 25th anniversary?
I WILL KICK ALL YOUR ASSES IN MARIO TENNIS!!!I look forward to seeing you try. :P
I know exactly none of you want to give this game a chance, but whatever. Here's some info for FE x SMT (http://kotaku.com/i-am-so-hyped-about-shin-megami-x-fire-emblem-1712088833). The video near the bottom gives a good idea of what to expect.
Essentially Persona with some warped FE characters for support/bosses. Not too bad, but not what people were expecting when they used SMT in the original announcement.
It doesn't, technically. It's name is Illusory Revelations #FE. Obviously the latter part is in reference to Fire Emblem, but the rest is only tangentially related to SMT, Revelations being part of the original Persona's name. Originally billing it as part SMT was a mistake, I feel, as SMT by itself is vague. People seemed to interpret it literally as something akin to the core SMTs, where it's skewing more towards Persona. And let's get real here, to expect them to not go the Persona angle is foolish. That's what popular, that's what sells.
As for being an original IP, it practically is. Rather than just combining the two series, it seems to be taking elements from both and doing its own thing with it. The whole pop angle is way more prevalent than either series' presence. Which is probably just turning people off from it even more. But you know what, you got to [tornado fang]ing play it first. (That's gonna end up being my motto for this year. It applies to quite a few games announced.) This could turn out the same way Final Fantasy X-2 did. Once you get past the cheesy Charlie's Angels vibe, you get one of the better battle systems in any FF.
Disclaimer: I'm not much of a fan of either series. But I'm even less of a fan of people being so quick to judge.
Maybe all of the Persona-ness is a mere smokescreen to get everyone's guards down, and then they unleash the SMT?Honestly it would be nice if it did have a Madoka Magica sort of bait and switch but I honestly doubt it would happen.
That's what I'm hoping; didn't see the initial teaser, but I don't like that kind of bait-and-switch any more than the next guy.
I went in expecting nothing, so that's probably why I'm not that peeved.[spoiler]I really didn't even care for it, to be honest.[/spoiler]
