they both cater to the casuals, with certain car companies they make hybrids and standard family cars that cater to the casual people, and game companies make so many call of duty type games that appeal to the mainstream people which i don't like very much, because certain car companies don't have that many sports cars in their line up (i.e honda, toyota specifically) and game companies don't make enough games that are original and the ones that go back to their roots (i.e resident evil).
Why do car companies mostly ignore their consumers on what they want? same with game companies?
if they were to just listen to us more, they would be making more money.

You can't compare the two. At all.
-
No matter how many times I read this I can't make any sense of it, at all.
-
In my experience it doesn't matter what you or how you do it, Sturgeon's law has an iron grip on reality.

I'll admit, this got a chuckle out of me.
-
I still don't understand why he's comparing the auto industry to the gaming industry. Should this thread even exist?
-
Probably not, but I want to see just how far this rabbit hole goes, so it can stay.
For my morbid amusement.
-
Very well I admit I would love to see how ridiculous this gets.
-
Ha, ha... no. The fact they are NOT LISTENING to you and keep making this "casual stuff" proves one thing:
They are actually making shitload of money.
Besides, you've found a strange comparison here, but it's still a lot better than that other thread.

what the [tornado fang] is wrong with you
-
Should this thread even exist?
It should... in the Twilight Zone, that is. 8D

I don't understand why you guys don't understand this, imo the auto industry and the game industry do have things in common, they both make business decisions on certain things, they make cars that cater to the hardcore like the nissan GTR and ferrari and viper etc, then they make cars for the casuals like the honda civic and toyota corolla etc.
-
Its not that we don't understand it, its just stupid.

My favorite car was the Delorean.
Once that baby hits 88 mph... <3

yeah i agree, but i just wanted to point it out on how the two are similar.
-
So you're saying the "hardcore" buy expensive, luxury cars that go fast and don't always have great gas mileage and the "Casual" buy eco-friendly stuff that saves gas money because of a hybrid engine?
makes perfect sense.
or rather it would, if there was any logic behind it.
You should quit while you're ahead with your opinions mate, or at the very least don't make a damned thread every time you want to express you opinions, that's what we have the Thinking thread for.
-
yeah i agree, but i just wanted to point it out on how the two are similar.
And you did. You can stop going on about it now.
