i create this topic to see how guys and girls played all the rockman X series.
what is the most favorite special weapon u use and what is ur favorite weapon that's very useful? leave comment

MMX - Strom Ronado and X-Buster
Really the only two weapons you need in that game.
Of course... that doesn't mean you should play without the others.

I think I like the Homing Torpedo the best, because of it's homing capabilities.
Although Storm Tornado is useful because it hits multiple times,which is useful against the turtle enemies that have a lot of energy.
Edit: After playing X8, I like the Ice Gatling.

I'm gonna have to go with X2's Silk Shot, purely because of the few areas in the game that give you massive amounts of items when you max charge it. Granted, you need to get the Arm Upgrade first, but it's worth it. One of the easiest games to refill your Sub Tanks in.

Ok. My favorite weapons are x4's frost tower very good defense when max charged 4 giant frost towers and double cyclone come in handy if enemies were both sides.
X5's dark hold very useful to stop everything and f-laser also very useful when charge becomes a powerful laser.
and X6's metal anchor and meteor rain both charge attacks are very useful as well.

X1- The Twin Dragon Purple Shot of Death, that you get from the arm upgrade.
X6- The Z-Saber that Zero uses.

Pretty much anything from X1 and X4. Double Buster Shot from X2 if it also counts.

Nah, the weapons didn´t really impress me. I gotta say the X-buster in all games...Oh wait there is one: RAY GUN from X8.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Chameleon Sting yet. Absolute invulnerability for only 5 units of energy? Hell yes. The regular shots have really good range too.

Frost tower. Always rather useful.
Also, Soul body. Was always fun making a clone of myself.

Good point. It's essential for getting through the area in Sigma Fortress 1 after Zero dies. Or at least, it makes it a whole hell of a lot easier.

Twin Slasher. Add in X4's helmet upgrade (best of the series), and you have infinite use of half-screen machine gun waves. It's awesome.

It is a TRIPLE SHOT, PLUS SHOCKWAVE, and not one twinge of energy less.
For how ridiculously over-obsessed with design functionality Yoshikawa was, he couldn't figure out that the two mini-barrels on the buster are a supplement and not an alternate. -AC

If "design functionality" of the buster was ever a real concern, X and Zero would not share the same buster design with two different functionalities.

Homing Torpedo is yet to be topped. I simply like its functionality.
However, as utility use I find Rolling Shield a lifesaver when grinding some energy into the Subtanks in the final Sigma stage.

Anyone who has a basic understanding of how a M249/M60 works will get what I say when I say: Cone of fire.

I meant overall design, not buster design. You'd have to look at the MHX concept art to know what I'm talking about, the guy goes into notes about bendable wrist guards and how to more easily render Zero's head (read: Flame's complaints on the horns). Yoshikawa places practicality, both in and outside of the fourth wall, before artistic design. That and his lack of respect for consistency make Yoshikawa my least favorite X-series artist.

No, it's essential. Gotta reserve all the hits you can take if you want to survive the Bospider!

My strategy against the thing is to just dash back and forth along the room and hope it doesn't land on me. Is there anything else I can do against something with such an erratic pattern, and with such a giant hit box?

Calculate where it will land based on the pattern of connectors it lays out. If there is a column with no connectors to it, hide there unless it appears at the top of that. It's pretty simple, really.

What Talyn said. If you think quick you can anticipate where Bospider will land. Watch the connectors that appear; Bospider will always take every curve possible on its way down.
Ever play Ciel's minigame in MMZ3? Same pattern.

The best advice I've ever gotten before was "TO DEFEAT BOSPIDER, SHOOT AT IT WITH SHOTGUN ICE UNTIL IT DIES! owob" So I did just that.

Is this better advice or not? I'm confused.
Of course, since Shotgun Ice is its weakness, still use that.

"Weaknesses" in SNES X games mean 11 hits to die instead of 16 (unless you're Chill Penguin, then it just means lighting your ass on fire). Nevertheless, yes, Shotgun Ice is the way to go.

Im a huge fan of storm tornado, its amazing, i remember first playing and when i pulled out that weapon of mass destruction, everyone else was screwed [eyebrow]

I've always liked to use Rolling Shield, although that's mostly for the laughs of seeing bosses get defeated by a Pink X and the fact that you could hit Sigma's final form with it without having to do any charging up.
