What's the craziest, most off-the-wall theory you ever heard, read, or come up with?
For me it was either:
1) Light and Wily are brothers.
2)Girouette is Zero and Layer's son.
3) X killed off the Classic cast.

Probably the dumbest I've heard so far is that Command Mission is a sequel to Star Force 3. I kid you not.

Wouldn't this belong under "Ancient Theories/Fanon"? There's some pretty strange stuff in that thread, if you look. But as long as it's here...

I was debating posting that but decided to not feed an unneeded derivative of the Fanon thread. But, yeah, I remember some idiot on Capcom's boards years ago spreading that idea around.

Didn't you know? Dr. Light was created by Dr. Wily so he'd have a rival scientist! He also used astral projection to find a time machine in a distant galaxy to give the Master the idea to revive humanity (or whatever he wanted to do). And he created Mikhail too! [/stupidity]

The craziest theory that I've ever heard was that Bass was around during the X series dressed as Bass EXE and fought Sigma then did a thing then died. Then became Magma Dragoon.

Oh yeah, we should totally start rumors about various robot characters actually being humans in power armor suits. We'll blow everyone's mind!

Here are a few weird ones I heard:
- Kalinka and Roll made Iris
- Dr. Cossak made Colonel
- Dr. Wily made Sigma
On a side-note, when I first heard these, I thought they were true. Then I did some digging and punched my friend in the face for making up [parasitic bomb] to fill in 'unexplained gaps' that were actually explained but he never paid attention to.

Here's a classic one: MEGA MAN 9 AND 10 ARE PRECURSORS TO THE X SERIES HURR DURR DE DERP

There's one on TV Tropes (on the Megaman Wild Mass Guessing page) that suggests that the Classic 'verse takes place in an apocalyptic wasteland with Light and Wily as the only remaining humans; everything is parts of a game, from the robots to the "humans" to minute things like newspapers flying around in the wind.
Oh, and Wile E. Coyote is a Robot Master. Coyeteman. Yes.

There were two about Omega, one which he's the giant mechaniloid at the end of X5 (X's ending where he didn't forget Zero) And how Omega could have possibly be High Max's future self.
Also the theory that Protoman took out everyone in the classic cast because of his one ending in one of the Power Battles...
